You are absolutely right about checking into all these things when considering to rent a property. A lot of people don't realise they can switch their energy suppliers and also how they want to pay, whether it is monthly or quarterly gas and electricity bills. Also, it's worth knowing the terms and conditions of the tenancy agreement as well and any fines and fees for late rent payments. People should also need to inform their existing broadband and landline suppliers when they will be moving as it can take time to receive broadband to be installed by an engineer. As well as informing your own Council about moving to a new property and the Council tax that you have to pay on top of that. The costs do add up eventually, so it's best to set aside some savings as well as an emergency fund.
This is amazing people need to make more videos like this thank you
thank you so much for your advice. i have definitely learnt something new and add new new questions to my list of questions to ask for when i move out :)
i dunno why but the potato peeler sent me 🤣🤣🤣😫😫
Thank you for this video! Big help.
This video is really useful for me, I've been buying bits for the past 2 years to be ready to move out. I bought plates and bowls etc from Amazon 2 years ago while in the sales, blankets, pillows, cutlery, mugs, kitchen utensils etc it really helps to start buying it as soon as you can so it doesn't cost a silly amount.
This video is so useful thank you!
1 minute in, great video!
Hey Shaba, thanks for the tips! They came to be really useful as I was able to ask the landlord questions and it made me at ease for sure! & lool so true you never really think about things like washing up liquid 😭
Great vid! 👍
I always thought the landlord is the one you go to with problems. Thanks for clarifiying that. Would you recommend getting a quote for electric/gas prior to moving in. I dont quite get how it works
Great video. But also about the agent, it’s not always the agents fault. 9 times out of 10 it is usually down to the landlord being an eejit, but a courtesy email / call to you wouldn’t go amiss so you know it’s being dealt with somewhat (Coming from the experience of a property manager) ;)
New sub ❤️ so wise I was super worried about moving out now I feel so much reassurance
THANK YOU SO MUCHH this video was so helpful definitely made me think of other things to factor in when moving out , hope your next property allows for an easier and better quality of life xxxx
Very helpful
Thank u for the advice Shab, just opened my eyes how costly renting can be. With regards to parking, have u looked into getting a residency permit from the council? (Unfortunately, you will have to pay). You might not be able to park outside ur flat but possibly a street nearby. It's all on the website.

Great tips
Hi! Thanks for the tips, I really didn't think of some of these and am glad I watched this video. One question though; after you find a place to your liking, how do you go about making an offer?
What if you don’t have a contract because I’ve been living in my house for more than 12 months I think from 2005 I’ve been living in my home
