thank you for linking the crochet pattern in the description I may end up making some to send to you and/or donate to local bird rescues/rehabs because I know feather plucking is a fairly common issue for neglected birds
I really love Cheyenne and identify with her because I've had a really bad anxiety disorder and PTSD for years because my parents didn't know how to not punish mental illness and I ended up being placed practically in solitary confinement for a while. I started up a bad skin picking habit that persisted years after I finally moved out and I'm still dealing with it now, though I've been working really hard on replacing it with other habits and releases like a skincare regimen, fidget gadgets, and gardening when I feel my anxiety spiking, but it's a hard habit to break. I really feel for Cheyenne because she doesn't really have the understanding and tools to handle it like we do, so I'm super glad that she likes the sweaters now. I hope that she continues to love them and that she is able to move on from the obsession in some way to find some kind of healing.
I love seeing Emily's genuine joy and excitement over these sweaters! Such a great solution for Cheyenne's plucking. What a sweetheart bird she is, too
I know you mentioned Cheyenne pinning her eyes in a previous video. Can you guys make a video talking about her mannerisms and how you guys know if she's happy/mad/etc. ?

Immediately assumed hers was noticeably warmer, and saw the good of sweater 😊 unicorns the best one, other than that one, I love the ones that match her colors !
a dumb thought i had as a kid was that birds where half plant as their feathers looked like leaves and that they where "real life pokemon" so 6 year old me would say "why does bird not have leaves? you know you have to water it and put it in sun right?"
Cheyenne is my favourite too! She really looks adorable in her sweater. I like the ones made in her natural colours. They don’t stand out and look really natural on her. But I do also love the idea of different sweaters for each holiday!
I havent taught myself crochet yet, but i taught myself to knit many years ago. Now im pondering making knitted versions of birb sweaters and mailing them!
It gives me the feeling of, like, "generic Cheyenne", as my brain thinks of Cheyenne as the name brand macaw, while others with a normal presentation are a cheaper model or reproduction. Rofl, I have a problem.
Honestly Sabina could make a business out of this and snake discovery could like sell them at the facility and it would be so cool with like business cards and stuff. Just an idea 🙃
I'm a newer subscriber so I saw the video of y'all taking Cheyenne to the vet and her putting her sweater back where it should be first; it made this video all the sweeter, knowing she now really loves her sweaters.
Aww Your videos are cheering me up so much right now my dad just bright my dog to get put down. He had a stroke last night and we want him to have a better life and stop suffering
i love how you can see in realtime them going from "oh this won't work. looks cute though. i guess" to "OH MY GOD AND WE CAN HAVE A CHRISTMAS ONE AND A ST PATRICKS ONE AND ONE FOR OUR COMPANY AND--" shoutout to whoever crocheted this, SD and cheyenne look way happier now!
Can we get a cheyenne in the shower video. I love it when birds owners film the bird bathing and talking to themselves or singing. I want others to experience my very niche excitement.
When Emily tells Cheyenne "You look so cute with it on!" It reminds me of a mother getting their child a dress but the child doesn't like it but the mom said "but you look so pretty!" Lol
Maybe if you put enough sweaters on her, she'll just bite off them instead of her feathers Modern problems require modern solutions She can't pluck them all!!
Ah, I think I see the golden factor that probably helps the sweater last longer! If their luck continues to hold, I'll bet the long turtleneck discourages Cheyenne from bending her head too close to her shoulders. The other regular sweaters without the extended neck might end up like the first one if that's the case. However, she could just as easily stop testing the limits of other sweaters after getting used to the turtleneck, too, so who knows? As cute as the crochet sweater looks, I'm curious to see if a tighter woven fabric--perhaps just as thick as the yarn, so only the density would increase--would prove harder to unravel, and then she can fiddle with the leg ties without destroying the rest of the sweater. I look forward to more Cheyenne updates!
It is actually super fun! I hope you find it that way also. Sometimes there are supplies at re-use or thrift stores and definitely there are instruction videos on youtube.
I can relate to this bird, I have tricotillomaina. It warms my heart to see that somebody is going through the same thing. Even tho the bird is half bald she is still beautiful. Hope this helped anyone

I was sooo proud of Cheyenne when they checked on her the next day with the 2nd sweater on and she didnt destroy it overnight 🥰🥰🥰
I’m watching this with my blue and gold macaw Echo and he keeps trying to talk to Cheyenne 😂
Awww
🙂
I don’t know if echo is a boy or girl name but if it’s a boy, then he’s sayin “hello pretty lady”
@@lilytheechidna6564 why does it matter whether or not echo is a boy or girl name
@@croquemaster314 because I was think that If echo was a boy then he would try to flirt with cheyeanne
thank you for linking the crochet pattern in the description I may end up making some to send to you and/or donate to local bird rescues/rehabs because I know feather plucking is a fairly common issue for neglected birds
I just love watching you interact with your pets!!! You love them so much and it's adorable to watch ☺️
I love how Cheyenne just let's you turn her over like it's nothing lol
I LOVE Cheyenne! Found her this May of 2022 through Bird Tricks. So glad she has the sweetest, nicest home ever! You all are so kind and have the most positive, loving attitude toward her. She is truly blessed. God Bless you for adopting her and giving her the best life ever. I will subscribe to your channel. ❤️🐈 P.S. Give her lots of cuddles and kisses!🥰
Immediately assumed hers was noticeably warmer, and saw the good of sweater 😊 unicorns the best one, other than that one, I love the ones that match her colors !
Awwww Cheyenne deserves all the sweaters and treats! 🧣🐦
Okay, maybe not *all* the treats, that wouldn't be good for her 😅
a dumb thought i had as a kid was that birds where half plant as their feathers looked like leaves and that they where "real life pokemon"
so 6 year old me would say "why does bird not have leaves? you know you have to water it and put it in sun right?"
That's actually pretty clever. 🐦💕
That is both adorable and thoughtful
Cheyenne is my favourite too!
She really looks adorable in her sweater.
I like the ones made in her natural colours. They don’t stand out and look really natural on her. But I do also love the idea of different sweaters for each holiday!
I havent taught myself crochet yet, but i taught myself to knit many years ago. Now im pondering making knitted versions of birb sweaters and mailing them!
Cheyanne needs a pin on her sweater that they put on when shes at the facility that says "Manager"
I saw a Macaw at a pet store that had all of its feathers and thought it looked very odd 😅 so used to Cheyanne
It gives me the feeling of, like, "generic Cheyenne", as my brain thinks of Cheyenne as the name brand macaw, while others with a normal presentation are a cheaper model or reproduction. Rofl, I have a problem.
Lol
Honestly Sabina could make a business out of this and snake discovery could like sell them at the facility and it would be so cool with like business cards and stuff. Just an idea 🙃
I think persistence is key for her! She seems to have adjusted and probably acknowledges that it helps!
Joann needs to use this as an advertisement for an etsy shop. Great job Sabina!
Using stills from it on Ravelry on the pattern page would be great too.
Love ur pfp btw
Thank you
@@sabinekolakowski4625 and the great Sabine comments! Great job lady!
@@starlawilson9011 thank you😊
I'm a newer subscriber so I saw the video of y'all taking Cheyenne to the vet and her putting her sweater back where it should be first; it made this video all the sweeter, knowing she now really loves her sweaters.
Aww Your videos are cheering me up so much right now my dad just bright my dog to get put down. He had a stroke last night and we want him to have a better life and stop suffering
Sorry for your loss. I'm sure your dog had a good life with you.
@@searchfield thank you so much he couldn’t walk so we thought he would have a better life up there with his mom
Emily: ...shyly and politely asks to put Patreon towards sweaters for Cheyenne ....
Me: .....stuffs all the monies and the sweaters into Emily's arms.
I need to see if there's a knit version.
Please make her a Weasely Christmas sweater with a C for “Cheyenne” on it 😭❤️
YES!!! 😂
Bloody brilliant!
OMGGGG YESSSSS
BLOODY HECK YES
BLOODY HELL YES! -Ron weasely
You are so going to be showered in tiny crocheted sweaters after this. Lifetime supply for Cheyenne! :D
i love how you can see in realtime them going from "oh this won't work. looks cute though. i guess" to "OH MY GOD AND WE CAN HAVE A CHRISTMAS ONE AND A ST PATRICKS ONE AND ONE FOR OUR COMPANY AND--"
shoutout to whoever crocheted this, SD and cheyenne look way happier now!
I loved the sweater in her gorgeous natural colors. 😍😍
Can we get a cheyenne in the shower video.
I love it when birds owners film the bird bathing and talking to themselves or singing. I want others to experience my very niche excitement.
Cheyenne looks so cute in her little crochet sweater!
Cheyenne is so cute. The way she talks like agreeing to what Emily says, it's so cute. Keep being you Cheyenne.🦜
Emily: “I need you to flip over”
Also Emily: (WWE flip and a pins a bird and the bird sells it for the drama)
When Emily tells Cheyenne "You look so cute with it on!" It reminds me of a mother getting their child a dress but the child doesn't like it but the mom said "but you look so pretty!" Lol
Maybe if you put enough sweaters on her, she'll just bite off them instead of her feathers
Modern problems require modern solutions
She can't pluck them all!!
She accepts your challenge!!!
I was literally thinking, "when are they going to post?" Then the posted like 2 seconds later
I love y'all so much! And omg it was so cute seeing Cheyenne with sweaters! And shoutout to Sabine!
You look like you have so much hope, I am so happy for all of u
Oh my gosh, Cheyenne is such a character and adorable!
She is so cute! Feathers or not, I love her! I have her “You don’t have to be beautiful to be perfect” sweatshirt! Ps the sweaters are ADORABLE!
Pink, with a heart on her cute little chest, for no other reason than to be a Cutie Macaw. :3
Gotta love those little Cheyenne noises she makes every time she's on camera
Her love eyes!! She does the little camera flash eyes and I love her 💕
Brb, learning how to crochet to so I can make pokemon themed sweaters and ugly christmas sweaters for cheyenne
It is actually super fun! I hope you find it that way also. Sometimes there are supplies at re-use or thrift stores and definitely there are instruction videos on youtube.
Aww, those sweaters are cute. It's good to hear that she seems to be shivering less from it too.
I can relate to this bird, I have tricotillomaina. It warms my heart to see that somebody is going through the same thing. Even tho the bird is half bald she is still beautiful. Hope this helped anyone
That blue and gold macaw is just 😍😍😍. I’m not a bird fan but those gorgeous creatures are so magestic.
Oh my gosh this is perfect! I love to crochet, it’s one of my favorite hobbies. If I can find the crochet pattern, I would be more than happy to send you guys some! I have been thinking of things to send you guys for a while, and this gives me an opportunity! I absolutely love your guys’ content❤️❤️Edit: I saw the pattern in the description! I will be working on some😄👍
