@@andrewbader6927 That's why mines litter box is in her cage with her food and water. I never close the cage except when needing to catch her to take her to the vet so its perfect place to keep the messy stuff... doesn't help much with her hay as that STILL finds its way everywhere, but the rest isn't as bad. She's free range I just keep the litter box and hay manger in her cage.
My rabbits were litter box trained and suddenly just stopped wanting to go in their litter box. I have tried to litter box train them again but they just haven't wanted anything to do with it. Okay, last comment, I promise.... but I made it to the end of this video, and my heart is bursting out of my chest w/ joy--she is just so cute and she is clearly so happy and loved and that makes me SO happy! You guys are the best, Ems and Eds! 💏
My bird plucks it’s feathers on its chest, but because of his beautiful fluffy neck, it’s covers them up! The reason he plucked his feathers is because of Boredom and not enough attention, but we gave him plenty of toys and lots of attention and now he is alright!
Julie Bakly: He already is! It’s just a little spot on his upper chest that there is no feathers, but it doesn’t affect them in anyway, he likes being scratched there :)
Even as a little bit of a plucked chicken, she's so pretty... I love seeing her fly... Wait- Cheyanne and I are the same age! Holy cannoli thats kinda' funny.
The amount of times I thought I got it all and then come back and there’s ANOTHER OLD DRIED UP ONE I MISSED. At least I only have a lovebird so I don’t have to clean up macaw and African grey sized poops!!
I'm impressed with Cheyenne's stopping! I've met a lot of flighted macaws in my life and too few stop and land as gracefully as Cheyenne! She's a great flyer!
One of the only channels I will actually sit through the ads for. I just think to myself, this will help buy Cheyenne some snacks or Rex a new jolly ball...or you know...Emily some chocolate 😂 All good options
@Hunter Brown I'd get in contact with authorities or mental health people, NOT a youtube person, that's really inappropriate to put this on someone who doesn't have training or contact with that sort of thing.
"The outermost feathers are the ones you clip!" *The slowmo then reveals why. Those feathers are FLEXING good and hard compared to the secondary feathers*
Cheyenne's and Emily's bond is always so amazing to watch, the bond between them is truly incredible knowing Cheyenne's background and plucking habit. It is also very cool to see that even though Cheyenne is missing feathers and a bit out of shape, she can still fly very well and looks very graceful when flying.
This makes me happy! Cheyenne is one of my favourites from this channel and I've been hoping for new videos about her for a while. I've watched the older ones repeatedly. You can tell she's deffo a bit of a momma's girl! She obviously loves you both a lot. You can just tell that there is a lot of love and trust there. She is in a what could be a scary to her with all the people around but she's so chill on your arm/shoulder. I'm glad she's not clipped. I know there is sometimes need for it but it does make me slightly uncomfortable and sad to think about it. Birds are built for flight. It's like someone breaking your legs so you don't run away. *once again, I know there is sometime need for it so not insulting you if you clipped your bird.
She didn't "fly away", she took an exploratory flight. She will do it more and more as she gains confidence. Please consider putting T stands for her to land on when she decides to do this.
@@forestpaw2877 Trichotillomania is a bfrb, or body focused repetitive behavior, that involves pulling out ones hair. It can be any hair on your body; facial hair, scalp, leg hair, eyelashes, etc. Thank you for asking and you aren't dumb. Have a lovely day!
I have dermatillomania and always relate to birds that have plucking issues too. I had a dog that would chew the fur off her forearms when she was stressed, then when she had pulled out all the hair, she would pick at the skin with her teeth. I worked with her on it and working with her helped her to stop, but also helped me a lot too. I didn’t have picking or scratching issues hardly at all while working with her and training her. It is was kind of cool that we helped each other with basically the same psychological issue.
You can tell by her feet her previous owners kept her in a tiny cage with inadequate perching :'( You've done really well with her you guys, you can see how much she trusts you
Well, they are dinosaurs, I would argue that dinosaurs are a separate classification than reptiles, and birds are closer to dinosaurs than any modern day reptile.
@@danielled8665 How would you classify crocodilians? :) Since crocs and birds are closer related than crocs and lizards, snakes, or turtles, would you put crocodilians in the reptile category, or in a different 'archosaur' category along with birds?
@@e.s.r5809 that’s an interesting point, and probably an example of people comparing animals by phenotype rather than genotype. As their scales, colouration, cold blooded nature and wide slung stance tend to cause us to compare them with lizards it’s simplest linguistically to say ‘reptile’ rather than ‘crocodilian’ as it serves to get the verbal meaning across. If one defines reptile as “cold blooded oviparous vertebrate with hips that situate the legs to the side” for simplicity then the warm blooded and vertically oriented hips of Saurians give them distinct phenotypical distinction from the reptiles and crocodilians.
I would add “scaled” as part of the phenotype description save for the fact that scaleless morphs of some snakes and lizards exist, and I don’t believe leopard geckos for example really have defined scales. They have bumps that suggest scale, but the composition isn’t really hard or solid. Turtles could also fall into the “is it really a reptile” with crocodilians based on lineage, so we usually stick with phenotype and behaviour to group them for all practical purposes.

Cheyenne is absolutely gorgeous, even if she is half nakkie ;; but getting to watch her wings and feathers as she flew in slow mo was soo aaawesome! Thanks for the upload!

*Cheyanne is 21, she can drink.*
*cheyenne*
In Canada we can drink at 18
😎😎
Kara Connolly in Australia she could do that at 18 lmao
NinjaNate Mutasiga same as Australia
Yay for full flighted birds!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
She has really good control for the parrot thats not flown often. Flying away from you just shows shes starting to gain confidence in her flying skills. Shes beautiful I miss having a parrot. Hope to adopt an older parrot in the future.
I honestly love the slomo bc you can see how far away she is from Emily or Ed when she starts to "brake". And yet she doesn't stop moving her wings
Emily: "Life with birds... they poop all the time."
Me: "You should see my rabbits :P"
That being said though at least rabbit poop isn't really that gross and easily vacuumed (unless they pee on their poop or poop under their water bottle.)
I used to have a rabbit that kicked its poop I still find them when I move stuff in my room
My rabbit use to play dead and act like a dog.
My rabbits were litter box trained and suddenly just stopped wanting to go in their litter box. I have tried to litter box train them again but they just haven't wanted anything to do with it. But they just love peeing on their poop and making it terrible to clean. Poop pee junk everywhere! And their both males (kept in different rooms) and I would like to get the spayed (I know that's the word for female rabbits or other animals to get spayed but it's like one in the morning and I really don't want to do all that) but we don't have any rabbit vets around us (Unless you want to drive like 10 hours to the bigger cities and keep the rabbits in the car with all their stinky pee and stuff along with water always spilling and food getting everywhere). Well this was long if you get down here congrats you wasted minutes of your life reading about my problems.
@@animehuntress9018 mines was too but hed get excited after going and still kick it all over the place. Vaccum is your friend always! Lol
You ever get tackled by a bird?
Emily: "Oh go-buah!"
cheyenne Is the most cute and adorable bird i have ever seen.
"Its better to be hated for who i really am than to be liked for who i pretend to be"
Okay, last comment, I promise.... but I made it to the end of this video, and my heart is bursting out of my chest w/ joy--she is just so cute and she is clearly so happy and loved and that makes me SO happy!
Will he grow them back?
Julie Bakly: He already is! It’s just a little spot on his upper chest that there is no feathers, but it doesn’t affect them in anyway, he likes being scratched there :)
Even as a little bit of a plucked chicken, she's so pretty... I love seeing her fly... Wait- Cheyanne and I are the same age! Holy cannoli thats kinda' funny.
That means your gonna be Cheyenne when uhh she goes into heaven
If you want to get a bird. Be prepared to clean up a lot of bird poop.
*so much bird poo...*
The amount of times I thought I got it all and then come back and there’s ANOTHER OLD DRIED UP ONE I MISSED. At least I only have a lovebird so I don’t have to clean up macaw and African grey sized poops!!
They leave their blessings.... everywhere.
Wise words!
Correction: so much hidden bird poop. I've food poop where I thought no poop could be
Poop, and also food slung all over the walls. 😂
She is so pretty, truly such a Beautiful bird !
You should do a “buying what ever my bird touches at the pet store” challenge 🤣
She touches the store so they have to buy the building
Ye a good idea but with a limit it would be cool
That's a great idea
Yeah I agree that would be so much fun to watch and see what Cheyenne picks out.
She porbely wode buy ervry thing
The slo-mo wings were amazing but I kept focusing on her tail. She's so beautiful in flight!
i like how she just lets u like lift up her wing and stuff, especially when she stayed in that pose at 2:44 its so adorable
Did you see the part where she just hooked Cheyenne by the beak and Cheyenne just accepted it
@@foxycinnamonkitten997 she even tried to grab on with her bottom beak
even tho she is out of shape and has lost a lot of feathers its so adorable to see her fly and super majestic.
I'm impressed with Cheyenne's stopping! I've met a lot of flighted macaws in my life and too few stop and land as gracefully as Cheyenne! She's a great flyer!
I'd love to see you collab with Nerdecrafter about how to care for a bird that plucks themselves and what it's actually like to own a big bird.
Yes!! I’d love to see Jackie do a sculpture of Cheyenne
Cheyenne and Angel can be birdie bff's!
Or JaidenAnimations! She has two birds!
@@greenapple9477 Wait, she has two? i thought she only had Ari

One of the only channels I will actually sit through the ads for. I just think to myself, this will help buy Cheyenne some snacks or Rex a new jolly ball...or you know...Emily some chocolate 😂 All good options
You're too kind! Thank you so much!! It goes a long way 🥰
My dogs love jolly balls, I always think of Rex when they drag them out.
@Hunter Brown I'd get in contact with authorities or mental health people, NOT a youtube person, that's really inappropriate to put this on someone who doesn't have training or contact with that sort of thing.
@@SnakeDiscovery im so sorry about my brother
@@coffee_button im sorry you are very right it is inappropriate but I don't need help I can fight this battle on my own
I love watching fully flighted birds. Its so wonderful watching pet birds doing bird things
"The outermost feathers are the ones you clip!"
*The slowmo then reveals why.
Cheyenne is beautiful she’s an amazing bird and you guys have cared for her well
I may be a cat lover but, I love your channel. I love the bond you have with your animals. It warms my heart.
*once again, I know there is sometime need for it so not insulting you if you clipped your bird.
emily: let me see what you have
cheyenne: A KNIFE!
ed and emily: NO!
She didn't "fly away", she took an exploratory flight. She will do it more and more as she gains confidence. Please consider putting T stands for her to land on when she decides to do this.
*Cheyenne flys to Emily**lands on her chest*

@@forestpaw2877 I think it's a disorder that involves pulling out your hair
@@forestpaw2877 Trichotillomania is a bfrb, or body focused repetitive behavior, that involves pulling out ones hair. It can be any hair on your body; facial hair, scalp, leg hair, eyelashes, etc. Thank you for asking and you aren't dumb. Have a lovely day!
@@forestpaw2877 No prob bob!
Aww...that’s so sweet 🥺
I have dermatillomania and always relate to birds that have plucking issues too.
I had a dog that would chew the fur off her forearms when she was stressed, then when she had pulled out all the hair, she would pick at the skin with her teeth. I worked with her on it and working with her helped her to stop, but also helped me a lot too. I didn’t have picking or scratching issues hardly at all while working with her and training her. It is was kind of cool that we helped each other with basically the same psychological issue.
Did anyone else notice that the kitchen has new tile behind the stove and beside the sink, it looks really good
Yah, noticed a few episodes ago. Had to go back to old egg episodes to make sure I wasn't seeing things lol. It does look great!
Lol I like this observation
You can tell by her feet her previous owners kept her in a tiny cage with inadequate perching :'(
You've done really well with her you guys, you can see how much she trusts you
All I can think is what a GORGEOUS girl Cheyenne is.. especially in flight. So majestic 😌
Snake discovery bringing references to artists since the 2010's
Technically birds ARE reptiles. Sauropsidia is the clade that includes reptiles and birds. Feathers are just fancy scales.
And beaks are something birds share with turtles :]
She is so beautiful especially when she’s flying, she looks so majestic
And so derp at the same time I love this bird
Your macaw may have plucked some feathers in the past, but I'm amazed, surprised and glad your macaw can still fly. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
IDK WHY BUT WHEN YOU SAID “go wading in the waterrr” IT GAVE/GIVES ME SO MUCH STERITONIN

Right??? I keep replaying that part ;3:
She's absolutely beautiful! Due to her lack of feathers, you can see so much of her anatomy in flight. Would you be okay if I used this video as reference for some animations? It would be a really valuable resource!

I LOVE that you let her fly!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Cheyenne is an awesome creature!
Do macaws actually know and recognize thier names? i imagine they can understand due to them being very smart.
Absolutely!
Definitely, they got the brains of a human toddler.
Cheyenne had been 3 years old for 21 years.
Fun fact macOS’s name there babys
@Abraham Johnathan I think they don't understand the Name itself but the Intonation.. but that's my take on that
