I could see doing a monthly box that might include treats, toys, and other enrichment items. Maybe a little animal figurine or something decorative for the human. Not sure about hide boxes or humidity boxes - maybe include one of those every quarter (3 - months, seasonally) rather than every month? Not sure how often reptiles keepers/owners are changing out hides and humidity boxes. It would be a great idea though. And could include small merch items that fall in line with production cost versus what they would sell the box for. Logistics-wise though it might be difficult. Would it be general reptiles or specific to the different species (snakes, lizards, geckos, etc)? Then you'd have to factor in size variations as well (kind of like these bird boxes). It could be a future project when their facility has been up and running for a while and they have time to devote to a project that size, but not sure the demand is there. Birds go through toys much like dogs and cats, which is why subscription boxes for them kind of make sense.

I feel like in general I always kinda have the same opinion towards suprise boxes that usually its not worth it. Maybe its because I'm not a bird person but I feel like I would rather just pick and order the specific toys and snacks for my pet. This is how I usually feel about mystery boxes though so I might just be biased.

Had to pause the video! Squawk box is donating to a very small little bird rescue local to me! That's so cool. There's not very many bird rescues in Oklahoma and that sweet woman works her butt off rehabbing and rehoming rescues. Too cool!!! And yes, those are Marlene's birds. The mustache parakeet was named Picasso but he got out and flew away. She searched for him for forever but never found him. Her UA-cam viewers paid to replace him for her. The cockatoo is her dramatic bird Jersey. She has alot of good content if you can get past all the bird noise in the background. She has alot of awesome birds too.

I have severe depression and C-PTSD along with the fact I'm physically disabled, and your videos have been the thing I go-to for comfort and grounding as well as something I can look forward to each week. i felt like letting you know that your channel has changed my life and you both mean the world to me. thankyou for being you
Okay but there are no “starter birds” there are only smaller birds. Please please research training and what to do to bring your bird home. Many birds develop fears from humans and keeping them in the cage because you don’t want to scare it isn’t a good idea. They must be trained at least to target so that you can get it out of its cage to train and if it flies away you can target it back. I know this is really long but also research diet. If it’s a smaller bird, a variety of vegetables and homemade seed mix should make a good breakfast, and then you can feed organic pellets for dinner. Lastly, birds should get a full 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep. This means a quiet and dark space to sleep in for the whole night. If it helps, you can use their vet travel cage to sleep in, as having toys hanging around some birds can make them not want to sleep. I really hope this helps and good luck to your brother!

Go for it❤ Make just one type at the beginning and develop it more as times flies;) I live in Sweden and I got a "Smakbox" subscription that are delivered every other month or so. It is new products, food for humans, so you can try and see if you like them. Always typical "me" items in there and always typical "NOT me" items in there too. It makes a social importance for me, since one pile is keep it, noooom nom, second pile is typical mum stuff which makes me give her a lil surprise at same time I get one, third pile is "give away to others" which make me socialize with others and give them stuff from the "goodie" box they might fanzy, but I don't. So it's a surprise for me, my mum and a few more every time it get delivered. Got chilled stuff too, such as yoghurt, veggie sausages, meatballs and much more. It is a treat for me to share with others. Reptile box could be a similar thing. If your reptile isn't fond of a special food/treat, reach out to friends and share the joy! Might even have a "chilled" addition to reptile monthly subscriprion? Not sure what, but maybe a new kind of food for reptiles? Im not that into reptiles other than watching your channel:) Do a poll about it? Do you want to subscribe to "Snake Discovery monthly, or 4 times a year, box with different reptile, lizards, amphibian stuff in it? A little bit mixed? Interesting take on them, personally I think it's all based on the individual bird though - cause I prefer the ones from the bigger feathered box toys. I have many birds, but only one is a psittacine which is a Catalina macaw. The ones from the squawk box would be done in about an hour all together - IF he even bothered trying to play with it. The ones from the feathered box would take a little longer at least - but since they are probably soft wood pieces, they would probably still not last a full month for my macaw. Nice pointing out the clips aren't big enough - for me, I attach them to a clear acrylic macaw-proof attacher so he can't pull it off of the cage, but he would destroy that clip you showed for sure, so I would be replacing it too (as I usually do).

These sorts of toys are also great for rabbits! I think it's all a great deal, considering a single toy of that size can cost anywhere from $25-50 at my local bird shop!

I had a mustache parakeet named Jellybean as a child through college, so that artwork on the box hit me right in the feels. I’d be happy just keeping the box haha
My Grey only likes one of those toys out of all of those (the bird tire)😅. I find just asking a friend or family member who know my bird and what he likes to go on say Chewy or Planet Pleasures website and use my billing info with a set max price is the best way to do a mystery box. You end up getting a lot more for your money that way, your bird is pretty much guaranteed to like everything, and it's still a fun surprise! Last time I did this I got 3 large forage/shred toys, 2 foot toys, a large preening toy, and shredder strips all for $50!
Marlene is so wonderful! The mustache parakeet is her baby, Picasso, who escaped and flew away last year 😭 The cool thing about the fun box is that Marlene is a bird mom, and knows what birds want. Which I’d say is why Cheyenne went right for the stuff in the box. 🤷🏼♀️

Great boxes, I enjoyed the feathered fun box 📦 very cool now I want a bird again, I used to own 2 Indian ring necks they were amazing
When you don't have a bird and aren't really a bird person, but you still watch this anyways
Interesting take on them, personally I think it's all based on the individual bird though - cause I prefer the ones from the bigger feathered box toys. I have many birds, but only one is a psittacine which is a Catalina macaw. The ones from the squawk box would be done in about an hour all together - IF he even bothered trying to play with it. The ones from the feathered box would take a little longer at least - but since they are probably soft wood pieces, they would probably still not last a full month for my macaw. Nice pointing out the clips aren't big enough - for me, I attach them to a clear acrylic macaw-proof attacher so he can't pull it off of the cage, but he would destroy that clip you showed for sure, so I would be replacing it too (as I usually do).

These sorts of toys are also great for rabbits! I think it's all a great deal, considering a single toy of that size can cost anywhere from $25-50 at my local bird shop!

They or with rescues and donated a tonne of their toys to a rescue and they have have adopted and fostered. I'd say it's primarily a business to make money.. I don't think any of the toys are made by them but they have said they design them.

I had a mustache parakeet named Jellybean as a child through college, so that artwork on the box hit me right in the feels. I’d be happy just keeping the box haha

My Grey only likes one of those toys out of all of those (the bird tire)😅. I find just asking a friend or family member who know my bird and what he likes to go on say Chewy or Planet Pleasures website and use my billing info with a set max price is the best way to do a mystery box. You end up getting a lot more for your money that way, your bird is pretty much guaranteed to like everything, and it's still a fun surprise! Last time I did this I got 3 large forage/shred toys, 2 foot toys, a large preening toy, and shredder strips all for $50!

Marlene is so wonderful! The mustache parakeet is her baby, Picasso, who escaped and flew away last year 😭 The cool thing about the fun box is that Marlene is a bird mom, and knows what birds want. Which I’d say is why Cheyenne went right for the stuff in the box. 🤷🏼♀️
