- After buying a car without inspecting it... Stripping it out... Hunting for rust... and giving it a deep clean... It is time to put it all back together.
Great work mate, what a rig.
I’ve seen a lot of people try to do headliners on the cheap, the best way I’ve found is to scrub off the remaining foam/glue with a wire brush then prime it with a stain blocking primer so the glue residue doesn’t bleed through, and get a quart of exterior latex house paint matched to the interior plastic and paint it. Perfect color match and scrubable. I’ve done several discos like this and a few other vehicles, no one has ever even noticed that I’ve done it, it just looks like a factory vinyl style headliner, this is all assuming the liner base is solid enough to paint in the first place
Ye that’s what I did too when I redid my car years back, would definitely recommend it

Awesome job on the headlining! I have a 1997 Discovery 300tdi special Edition Argyll in Woodcoate Green since 1998. My headlining has started to come away at the rear! Been thinking to recover it myself😅😊
The blue and tan looks mint mate
Great video, keep it up
Glad you were able to do the headliner yourself. $750 is twice what it cost to get mine done here in the US.
Nice job!!
Did you find doing the headliner particularly difficult?
It was very time consuming. You need to make sure you buy the correct adhesive spray. That the fabric you use is stretchy. One thing to note is to not over-stretch the fabric when applying. Overtime the stress on the fabric may result it in falling away from the adhesive spray. Best to just give it a go and realise it may not end up perfect 👍🏼
