Or just hit the gym. 80% improvement so far in 3 months. Hit it 5 times a week and plan to get exhausted, increase heart rate. Same principle as if you have a big knee problem: you must rest your knee to reduce inflamation. Everyone knows that so they cannot prescribe pills or products. To reduce inflamation of your veins and neurones, increase blood flow by crazy. This is done by doing sport .

The title of your book, please? I got worse as my PCP refused to acknowledge I had PN. He told me I didn't know what neuropathic pain was. I told him I knew the difference between nerve pain, muscular pain and vascular pain. No surprise I haven't gone back to him. Doctors tend to ignore the c/o burning, tingling pain, etc. When I said that to another doctor she honestly said "We don't know how to treat nerve pain." I respected her for that, anyway. So, my pain has gotten worse. I discovered that electrical acupuncture helps, but it's expensive. I have tried massage, red light therapy, etc. but it's all temporary. One doc gave me gabapentin, but it made my feet swell, however, it did help me sleep. It didn't even dampen the pain, though.
UPDATE: I received some neuropathy socks in the mail yesterday and they really decrease the pain!

Peripheral neuropathy can be fatal in respect of a factor not even doctors wish to discuss.
And that's the possible progress to amputation. A prospect a patient at the end of their tether may decide they cannot face. We all know what I'm talking about.
I speak from experience - albeit a single sad experience.

I was recommended most of the B vitamins by more than one neurologist, and I’ve had neuropathy for nearly 30 years now. It began with burning feet but it has found its way into all my cranial nerves and likely beyond that. I credit my self education, meditation and proprioceptive practice, nurturing a resilience and innate drive for my still being alive.. I still need medication and support of course.
Regarding blood flow and getting the best perfusion of blood in capillaries and larger vessels, I would suggest that you read a little or watch discussion of fibrinolytics. I eat fermented foods and natto is one of those, with a useful enzyme called nattokinase. There’s studies of other such fibrinolytic enzymes from silk worm guts and earthworms, all three are potent supplements it is good to know about. Keep believing in possibilities. See the beauty in small things, even when it feels like your feet are filled with slivers of glass. Keep moving and learning.🙏

I see this so commonly! Don't give up the answer in these cases is almost always muscle/biomechanical imbalance (fully correctable in most cases without surgery), that puts pressure on specific nerves like the tarsal tunnel/ankles, knees, sciatica/hips, or the foot nerves like Morton's neuroma type compression. These will usually not show on any nerve testing

When I told numerous doctors my legs from the knee down, have ballooned they are so tight not painful but tight they looked at me like I was crazy even more when I described the feeling of a drop of water running down the back of my leg yet, there is no water I have Mortons nueroma in my feet and as of lately my hands have been going numb
as a smoker I know my blood flow isn’t what it should be. It’s disheartening when you seek out second third fourth etc. opinions and all of them tell you you’re too young to have something serious drink more water do some yoga meanwhile, I’ve done yoga every day for the last five years for an hour each day
My flexibility is not what it used to be since I lost my health insurance back in October I’ve given up even when I went to the emergency room for spitting up blood before I was even in triage they told me as long as you are stable we will recommend a follow up with your PCP if what brought you in isn’t life-threatening we’re going to send you home. Would you still like to wait? it may be about four or five hours. Needless to say I left. I didn’t even think hospitals could discourage you from being seen but mine did and I was brought in via ambulance
