Loved his jazzy guitar style plus a super amazing out of the box player that shreds ! All those teenage girl bought their album for More than Words and got a metal album .

That said, more than words is a great reason to buy the album
Same thing with Mr. Big and To Be With You. Local adult contemporary starting gave away tickets to their concert. All these soccer moms wanted to go because of that song. I wanted to be there to see their faces when Paul Gilbert did his 15 min guitar solo, of the band did Addicted To That Rush . 😂

Nuno is so cool to watch play.. I try to watch him a few times then go back and try to figure out what he's doing..
The main thing impressed me about Nuno is his impeccable timing. These examples and a metronome will makes some impressive licks. Thank you!!
Nunos rhythms are impeccable because he was a drummer before learning guitar. He is way more rhythmic than most guitarists, but he also has this funk metal sound that is truly unique. I don’t understand the formula behind his scales, but I have heard the flat 7th is kinda his trademark, so I guess Mixolydian is his center.

What I have learned Robert, after 30yrs of playing this for forgiving instrument and learning scales is,,,,,dot.every note on the fretboard !!! And call it the Master Scale. !!!! 😂😂😂😂👍

Hi Rob, I’m new to your channel and really dig it! I noticed you have two sets of studio monitors, I’m guessing those are JBL’s and HS8’s? Wanted to get your honest opinion on which ones you prefer, I use plug in’s like the stuff from Neural DSP, and BIAS FX, and wanted to know your opinion on those monitors? Thanks Rob!
Funny story - I got to be the assistant engineer on the last few songs on the ‘waiting for the punchline’ album and as he was tracking Leave me alone he looked up and asked me to leave the control room. I guess I was freaking him out a bit with how I was staring at him. Cool experience though
maybe he got the title from that too.

IMHO Nuno has taken EVH spot for delivering Creative playing especially on Extreme's new Record he's on Fire just killing it . I'm very happy he's stepped up ! I expected George Lynch to take up the Mantel since he was in that EVH , Randy Rhodes mix in the late 70's early 80's and Lynch is the player who got me into playing so unless he's got something coming Nuno is at the Top where EVH sat for so long ! I have been watching Nuno Video's everyday since Rage the new Extreme song dropped . George it's up to you to take that spot and I want to hear ya be aggressive & shredding like the Dokken days . Guess we will see ??
