Yup. Nuno has been one of my favorite guitarists since the first record and always thought he should have way more credit than he's had. I never really considered him true shredder either. To me his playing always had more groove, melody and feeling than the other shredders.

I'm happy to see it too! he's Back!!...one of my favorite Guitarists EVER among the thousands of shredders👍(Guthrie Govan and Yngwie Malmsteen are the others.) Nuno's sense of rhythm and groove are like no other. it's nice to see him after a long time, "Decadence Dance, Play with Me and Get the Funk Out" stills blows my mind and "Rise" is spectacular like them.
Also like to give credit and props to the legendary vocalist Gary Cherone, top notch powerful vocals, super high energy especially during live performance. He just holds and command the crowd.

Very true. I've spent years trying to get friends and family to listen to Nuno's music. But they would always say, "You mean the More Than Words guy? Nah." It's really annoying, because they don't know what they're missing; he makes a lot of musicians/guitarists look like they've been asleep at the wheel for decades. After a while, though, you just give up trying to persuade, coerce, and indoctrinate the ignorant masses. One might even say that you just learn to not give a f*ck.

WOOOOW!) But anyway, I've always loved Extreme for that challenge, and KNOWING there's still more left in the tank, and even after this last one, I'm still saying: "You can do better. You maybe The Guy now, but you can still do the fuck better." Anyway, III Sides was too easy, then came the freaking Punchline that made no sense to anyone. @Lynn: PERFECTLY said. The fact that common folks, who love music, but always told themselves they could never "be" musicians, absolutely jump at the chance to understand about all the complexities of what music is, over so many genres, was seen by Rick as an opportunity in itself. This video demonstrates that perfectly. I'm a pro musician myself, a keyboardist, but I've always loved guitar. Since operating and investing in my own recording studio, I've learned a great deal about guitar from sound libraries and plugins that I have, and also very much on Rick's channel here. Yeah, same here. I mean I never played 7th chords beyond the Hedrix chord before hearing Extreme. Nuno plays 7th chords in huge number of his songs. His string skipping riffs, percussive playing style (e.g He Man) and especially his songwriting were all huge influences - I mean who ever put a horn section in a hard rock song before? The guy's brilliant.

If you ask a professional guitar player to rank Nuno, he will say he is among the TOP 10 guitar players of all time.
