Thanks! Crazy to think, but that song was originally written around 2005ish. It was fun to revisit it.
I do!I did a cover too,and probably do another one on this take.still overwhelemed on that last riff.
Conquering Dystopia times as well, some of my best memories were with their songs as the background music and that one too xD
still prefer and hear the Jeff Loomis solo in my head every time, but side by side comparison, this new version has much better and darker tone
To hear that and braving the dunes with REAL drums and a badass drummer is awesome!
I remember an older album Merrow released as well, (sorry to mention, Keith, because it seems you were trying to bury it) and that album had some classic badass songs on it. Malfunction is badass! Or my nemesis, the drums from that song are SO fun to play, would LOVE to hear real drums for it. You make unique stuff Keith, keep making music!!

@Chief Thundrecock that's the biggest issue I have with full Album uploads... I mean, I want the Music but I also hate the idea that a Band or Artist is losing out on Money for their hard work. Ya know...

I myself, have a list of Albums I have yet to listen to, and as soon as I listen to it, if I like it and I can buy it.. I do.
Then it goes onto my second/main list.. of Albums I own already... which started, in the first place with ones, I've owned for Years.
I also think though that, it's good that the Monopoly of the likes of EMI and so on. Is dying... but it also makes it harder to make a living out of Music.
Though.. for me... like when I do my Paintings (Yes, I use actual Paints... haha), I honestly am not trying make a profit... I just want to share my thoughts and feelings with others..
Therapy in a way.. but also.. just doing something I love. I guess.
So of course, I'm not like Mr Merrow.. it's not my livelihood but I do feel like things are both better & worse for those making a living by making Music, nowadays.
But hell, what do I know... just expressing my opinion.

Each and everytime I put it on I catch new mindblowing riffs and arrangements.

Listened to this twice, as a vocalist, I found myself singing along. Love it!
Heart Of The Sea Nymph is one of the best pieces of pure metal of all times. It's literally the 7 strings guitar Anthem. Even if I have to admit that I prefer the solo of the original version, but Jeff did an awesome job on the solo as always.
Great album, and Keith is an awesome musician.
I would just like to point out, that Keith Merrow is by far, my favourite musician... ever! Your attention to good rhythm and riffs have yet to be matched, good sir!

This is just the best album I have ever heard, I really hope Keith does not get discouraged for the "low" impact it has compared to others. Keith, you changed my way to see music. This album will be probably noticed in future, people are not ready for this right now ahah I love the huge influences by classical music, I heard a lot of moonlight sonata by Beethoven into the wastrel, I can give you exactly the moment if u want!

New Keith is a instant yes! I'm strongly considering getting your latest 7 string. Unfortunately not the actual custom shop but man just the tone you get and how gnarly your rhythms are make me want it more. Been listening for years. Thank you and all involved for this release. Don't need to listen to it all to already know it's amazing.

Hey man, just thought I'd pop by and quickly put my two pence worth in.
I am not trying to be offensive.
Not sure if it's an "upgrade"... I think really.. to be honest, it's like being able to play Bass and Guitar, you can play both and others.
Look at John Paul John, ex Zeppelin... guy can play a ton of Instruments.
Same goes for the average Musician and Player.
Like me, I play an Electric 4-String Bass, Electric 6-string Guitar...also, standard Acoustic Guitar.. but also Piano..
Nothing stops you from playing 6-8 String Electric Guitars... you only have to look at Black Metal and so on, to see Musicians playing multiple instruments and same here with Keith.
All I believe, is that there's no such thing as an 'upgrade' in Guitars or other Instruments.
Again, that's just my opinion of course and if you want or feel the compulsion to buy extended range Instruments.. that's cool, but I just hope you don't take it that more strings, means somehow.. there's more talent....
I mean, would you say a Violin Player, that does solos for instance, is more talented than a Drummer, in the said same Orchestra, who holds in together and without it... the Orchestra would fail to work..
But hey, that's just my thought... what the hell do I know.
Anyways... I hope you enjoy your Guitar... but before you do.. or don't spend at-least, $400 for a decent Extended Range Guitar... you should take time to think about it, listen to other players... but most importantly... try out a few different 7 and if you must, 8 string Guitars... see if you can cope with the extra Strings... wider Neck, etc.
I recommend, trying out Schecter and Ibanez Models...
I, again, am not trying to be offensive or whatever... just a Guy who's played Instruments for 20 Years, trying to help out... which I hope I have.

Just put bigger gauge strings on and tune your 6 string lower. Plenty of people do that. Look at Periphery, they use 6 strings and they play some shit in drop G.
