So cool to see so many people still listening after almost a decade. Love you guys
Timeless album and tone lol
Listening right now while I work. It's my favorite instrumental album since the first listening back in college
In my top 3 favorite instrumental albums of all time. Thank you for this gem.
a perfect album for subzero weather in Cincy Ohio the last two weeks!! THANK YOU --- your guitar playing is so sweet!
well you made history with this album man
I'm so humbled by you guys! I can't believe so many of you are listening :') There will be a new album out in April, guys! Can't wait to share some new music with you all
This is one the best albums of the decade in my book, thank you.
This full album is made in the musical scale of energy, wisdom, mistery, perspective, optimism, humbleness, compromise and love.
There are thousands of ideas that can be derived from any riff of your guitar.
Thanks!!!!
My favorite video to find whenever I need music at work. Thank you for putting out something very emotional and incredibly entertaining. Moreover, huge respect for sharing this on UA-cam. The thumbnail of this video is how I discovered you for the first time. You are my new guitar hero, man. Can't wait to hear the new contents and also to own one of your Diamond Series! Cheers from Anaheim, California.
Dude, this album has been on repeat in my car and in my head for weeks now. I love this. That seven step build-up in Impossible Things is one of my favorite things ever, right up there with Drive In, Drive Out by DMB. Your band kicks serious ass and I can't wait for more awesome melodies to get stuck in my head mounted hard drive.
@@omerkeidar95 Is this guitars
Heard this for the first time in 2017... and keep coming back to it, 7 years later. Just an amazing piece of music.
Would you eat it out?
This is a timeless album. Moving, cinematic songs, excellent production quality, and outstanding guitar tone. Melodic lines that stick in your head. And unlike a lot of virtuosos, Nick doesn't get lost trying to show off his chops, though he has them. Shreddy guitar is cool, but you can't express much emotion playing as many notes as possible. That's why we love songs and why we bond with them--because they evoke our emotions.
Thanks for the comment, Chris :)
@@nickjohnstonmusic IMO, Very true, Some will say that it is all subjective, and it is. But I think most emotions are provoked through Gilmour/Johnston type phrasing. Other people will say their emotions are provoked through shredding. The beauty of music is the interpretation through expressing individuality and being able to feel how you feel through just that.,
Wow, thank you all for the kind words! I am totally blown away!
cheers from france, waiting for you =)))
Its awesome stuff man! I ran into you at Gearfest and you told me about the new album and here I am. \m/ Keep on man!
great job Nick!!
Loved every second of it.
what an awesome gift to the world this is. thank you nick johnston.
"Vector arena" is one of the main attractions for international acts in our country, hopefully we get to see play there one day.
cheers from New Zealand (Auckland)
Beautiful music.
Rick Graham you're beautiful!
Rick Graham you the man 😇😇😇
RICK I!
i was wondering if id find a solo for you on one of the tracks lol!!!!!!
If Rick says i't's beautiful , I'll take a listen. For sure!
Discovered this album two days ago. I have to say, this features some of the best guitar work I've ever listened to. I love the various influences and nuances in his playing. The guitar tone is unbelievable, with a lot of excellent tension/resolution ideas. Most importantly, emotion is present throughout the entire album. It's such an inspiring piece of art.
UA-cam is a massive treasure trove of beautiful gems like this masterpiece. It restores your faith in the future of music, especially when you consider the unmitigated drivel that passes for 'music' that gets pumped out over the airwaves these days. Modern mainstream music is 99% unlistenable, vapid, soulless, talentless garbage that deserves to be forgotten. This, on the other hand, is superb. Thank you, Mr Johnson!
The animated “album” cover is a nice touch.
Simple but neat 👌🏻
This comment aged well :P
Please enjoy my latest record, everyone!
Consider picking up a signed copy of the album or download the tab book at nickjohnstonmusic.com :)
Nick, I bought a signed copy and a artwork plus the tab book. However when I downloaded the file it only came the image of the book... Is this supposed to happen? Is it a book copy that's coming my way? Thanks for your help in advance.
The pre-orders are being emailed out shortly :)
Thanks Nick. Looking forward to listening your album on the breaks from school xD. Wish you the best.
Your work is fantastic Nick, I really enjoy listening to you play! Thanks for all the massive effort that you have put into this awesome production. Heading over to purchase this....
Thank you Nick! It's beautiful music!
The art brought me here. The music kept me here
Anyone still loving this in late 2021? Nick is one of the best melodic and dynamic players. Top notch thematic songwriting on this record. Personal favorite guitar record since Surfing With the Alien.
Oh yes, I’m still listening to it every chance I get. Surfing with the Alien and Remarkably Human are my two favorite of all time. The more I listen to this album the more I’m certain it takes 1st place among my favorites.
Mid-2022 and this is still one of the best instrumental albums ever recorded.
It's amazing when you blindly trust a youtube recommendation and you find some awesome music! Cheers, Nick!
Dude, I just ordered your signed CD after already listening to your album more than twenty times for free for the past two weeks, as a matter of fact, I'm listening to it as I write this reply. Your stuff is so good, I started to feel guilty for not paying for it. When I scrape up some more dough I going to buy the other three and anything you record in the future. I haven't listened to an instrumental record this much since Yngwie's first album, Rising Force in 84, and yes I'm over fifty and have been trying to learn how to play the guitar off and on for over 30 years. Because of you, I've started playing again with more seriousness. My dream of one day becoming a rock star has long since past, but that's OK I don't care about that stuff anymore I have a day job, I only care about the art of guitar, and what you do is pure art. There are a lot of good players out there, but few write good music like you. You don't over play with tricks and technic. You play just enough and not too much, you play the guitar for the music, you don't write music for the guitar. So many players (I won't mention names and some are older than me) don't seem to know the difference, but you do and to know this so early in your career is amazing, I can't wait to hear what you record next.
Your comment made me feel the passion. Cheers to you my man. I am listening to the album right now and it is just perfect for me.
I'm with Marcus! So many great guitarists today but solid, passionate melodies & lead work within the context of a good song makes all the difference.
A true sign of talent is when people pay for an artist's work even when it's available for free.
if you don't know this song, it's the thing i've heard most in the spirit of your comment : ua-cam.com/video/A0lbl9VHbqs/v-deo.html
same feeling, although it made me feel better after I found him on Spotify ':D
Its one thing to make some truly inspiring pieces of instrumental guitar music., but to make an entire album that just flows across genres, moods, modes , scales and still fits together and stands the test of time. Damn Nick, this is your DSOTM. Thank you for the music.
The piano really elevates this above most other instrumentals for me.
No doubt about that! Really different from other typical guitar instrumental shreding.....😁
Beautiful music and favorites musicians who inspires me everyday. Congratulations to Luke Martin
Guys! The backing tracks for this record are now available here :-) nickjohnstonmusic.com/backing-tracks
Thank you all so much for the support!!
Nick Johnston man, you are pure magic, greetings from Colombia!!
Just discovered you, holy shite m8 keep on doing what you're doing
That's so awesome! Great way to market :)
U R Great!
I eagerly await the arrival of your CDs (bought all four) in the mail, Nick. That way, I won't have to listen on UA-cam.
Yesterday my ex-wife told me she loves someone else. I wanted to go back to her but knowing what she told me I decided to walk away. And then I was looking for something to get to sleep.... Soothe my pain that I feel... This music did... helped a lot. Thanks for this.
Timmy nice
Tears are probably your friend right now; alcohol, drugs, and addictive behaviours are probably less helpful. There's lots of anger, fear, and ultimately sadness to feel at the end of a relationship. Feelings can be repressed so that they come up stronger and at inopportune times, or they can be felt when they come up. In my experience of repressing feelings for decades, I can with authority say that repression did not help nearly as much as dealing with the emotions directly. Your mileage may of course vary(though I doubt it).
Good luck,
Alan Tomlinson
I've been there, I hope you're doing better. It does get better, remember millions go through this they make it and so can you.
hope you're doing ok
I love this album!
Absolutely awe-inspiring stuff Nick!
ikr!
Perfect union between piano an guitar...
And drums and bass
Exactly !
Makes me want to find a piano player to jam with.
It’s Spring 2022 and I still find myself returning to this amazing work; it remains creative, powerful, and melodic. Thanks Nick for continuing to inspire us with your music.
same for me !
Now it´s almost spring 2024 and here I am listening to this beautiful masterpiece. Already timeless.
love, love the key changes
The piano work is just breathtaking!
Amazing work Nick!
Fantastic!!!
This music is incredible. Since Jeff Beck, I haven't had such a big slap. So much musicality and technique. it's just incredible... I m a big fan
Truly amazing. Thank you!
Just brilliant !!!
can't wait for more music from Nick Johnston
Creative, musical and beautiful!!!
Just stumbled on this. What a beautiful work.
One of the best guitar albums of the decade. On the shoulders of giants!
Woah! Gavin Harrison on drums!
Checking out all of your albums. So much to dissect. This was amazing. Thanks Nick
This is one of my favourite albums to show people if I'm introducing them to progressive music. It's beautifully melodic and approachable while having loads of guitar-shreddy melt-your-face-off chops. Everything sounds so emotionally rich and lyrical. Plus Gavin Harrison is one of my favourite drummers and he absolutely kills it on this record!
Great stuff.
I just discovered this and it inspires me to pick up my guitar again and again, I have been trying to learn..thanks 🙌🏼
love the art work
Amazing piece of work! Thanks a lot
This is real music! Not just a vehicle for monster playing. Fantastic art.

Grusha Biswas how did you make hoper links to track time?
Charles Baldwin number + : + number
Thanks
Grusha Biswas Thanks!
"Remarkably human"'s breakdown is fairly similar to "welcome home" by Coheed and Cambria
Awesome...! Thanks for creating and sharing.
Love this work
I was listening to Joe Satriani and I checked the related videos and saw this one. "Nick Johnston huh? Never heard of this guy. Let's check it out" I thought. Best click I did in a UA-cam video in quite some time. It's fuckin' awesome!! :D
I anticipate you your next best click:
Ne Obliviscaris.
same, but Malmsteen in my case. Nice discovery!!! Love it.
Plini in my case. Check Plini out if you don't know his work. :)
@@powermetallistic2293 in my case it was Opeth but I know Plini it's awesome. Opeth's new solo and Tool's new solo are great. In terms of music this summer was pretty cool.
yep, I too came from Satriani.
Even funnier thing is how I discovered Satriani - I was searching for the "song in 10 words" (this one ua-cam.com/video/7lRldr2BH2M/v-deo.html , that I heard like million years ago... ) ANd I found Satriani's masterpiece 10 words. I am Satriani's fan ever since then :D
and now ('bout a year ago) I discovered Nick
Both, the minimalism and shredding this man has the ability to compose is mesmerazing
Great piece of music!!Beautiful guitar tones!!
The album and concept are perfection 🎸🔥nice work
This album is still so musically and tonally interesting. I keep going back to it.
Nice album :), the artwork is just perfect by the way !
The mix is so good! Well done Jordan!
Can we just take a minute and congratulate the artist for his artiwork????
Four years later this still sounds spectacularly good. Nick, I think you've given us a classic.
listening to this again today after who knows how many times and realizing that Remarkably Human is a remarkably great album.
this album hits me right in my feels
This popped up on my recommended page and I'm glad it did!! Great stuff!!
Nick Johnson as a guitarist is similar to a master photographer taking pictures of puppies for everyone to enjoy, he could easily make music for the few but instead puts things together that most people can enjoy.
WOW you're a genius, an artist.
Creative. Just a masterpiece.
Stunning.
I love this...STILL! The theme being used is awesome!
Purchased the album and still listening to this everyday - masterpiece!
Just gorgeous guitar playing. As good as it gets. Awesome
Just awesome guitar playing!
This is so beautiful. I'm glad I've found this album. Listening to it all the time.
Amazing album Nick, The moving album cover is absolutely mind blowing.
Just saw you in Atlanta at the Masquerade and can't say enough positive things about your soulful, tasty compositions! Your playing reminds me of Jeff Beck, but you have a unique melodic style that is just as listenable and deep. Keep up the great work!!
bro wrong account?!??!?
it reminds me of muse
The influences of Nickelback and Sinatra are subtle yet unmistakable
such a beautiful album for sure
I am so glad I fell upon this MASTERPIECE! I could sit and listen and watch the animated cover OVER & OVER again
One of the best random clicks of my life, your music is awesomely soulful, thank you for sharing :)
An amazing piece of work. Brilliant musicianship 🤘🏻
Every song an Anthem... thank you, Nick.
Damn, it's been 4 years and I'm still traumatized with this album... Can´t stop listening to it! You are the best Nick!
This album legitimately gives me chills whenever I listen to it. This is amazing work, Nick!
brutal amazing
just awesome
Majestically awesome.
Recently discover your music, what can I say, we should learn from you, your music shows passion and humble thoughts coming from you, thanks for giving this beautiful gift for us
Nick, man. Insane. Came back to this album again. Just amazing.
I love everything about this..
Awesome stuff! Thanks
Total Masterpiece! Incredible tone. 🎶🎸🤘🏼❤️
Found this album again after 5 years. Now I can appreciate it better!
This is fantastic.
Ohh my god... I have never been more impressed, surprised and excited in my life by an album. Great work! Motivates me to write more songs. ☺
Just like the old days. I liked the cover art. I randomly gave this a good listen. Great imagination. Beautiful production. Always am attracted to competent player's who have songwriting skills, who can really see their vision through. I'm going to get this CD. This is when the Internet is at it's finest. When you find real people, living their true dreams in life. Peace.
This is so proggy ... and jazzy ... and crispy ... and ... just so lovely to listen to! I really enjoy every instrument - so cool! Thank you!
After all these years, this title fits the mood of how this album should sound. Incredible 🥲
thank you for great album!
Been listening to this since you dropped it. Your music is absolutely incredible and strikes the soul.
These are the best guitar instrumental compositions I've heard in 10 years! Can't wait to hear the next album!
Outstanding instrumental, really enjoyed this a lot
A real pleasure to listen to. Thank you. Excellent moving graphics also!
Just discovered Nick's music and I'm blown away by the entire vibe and talent of this.
Best guitar instrumental album Ive ever listened to
These are sounds I haven't heard in my head. This will definitely end up changing my playing. I am beyond impressed.
I love this album. I've listened it so many times this year.
amazing album. It's impressive without shredding all the time. This is pure music
I mean this comment with no disrespect. I'm a huge huge fan of your playing and style, but for whatever reason the albums that preceded this one haven't spoken to me at all. I just haven't ever found myself intrigued by them. THIS one, however, is unbelievable. I don't know what changed but this is absolutely incredible stuff, and I'm even more a fan than I was before. I think I'm going to go back and re-listen to the others just to be sure lol. Well done mate; purchased.
I feel the exact same way dude, you aren't alone haha
really? you didnt like atomic mind?
It's not that I don't 't like it, I do. I just feel like this album speaks to me more than that one did, for whatever reason.
I think the same. I liked the earlier albums but I'm in love with this one, I listen to it over and over again.
I know EXACTLY what you mean, and I know why: his previous work was more of a compilation of different songs in different styles, which could have come from a bunch of artists - mind you, I think the songs are really good though. But this album feels like it comes from 1 artist and 1 artist only: Jimi Hendr... I mean NICK JOHNSTON!
Dang, this is sick! That metric modulation at the end of the first track was dope. Great composition throughout, definitely gonna keep an eye out!
How is this the first time I've heard this album! Absolutely incredible work my man. All the musicians are phenomenal and mesh very well together.
