- One of my favourite places to camp and just visit is 'Wheal Fredrick' a small mine hidden behind Bray Tor [Brat Tor]. Quiet and rarely visited with a great view up to the western ridge, with a little brook running alongside it's the perfect spot to escape the matrix below in the 'real world'.
Breathtaking views, I love rock crossing over the water, and some climbing too, well done on filming the flying prey, its not easy to keep a lens on, love the hats, was going to say first time I saw the feather, spot on, and nice channel hat, love the history and Amanda always has me in stitches, love the castle tour❤👍

I definitely need to go back here for a camp, it was blowing an absolute gale the only time I’ve got up there so when I’m feeling up to it I’ll head there for sure!

It has room for one double and one single person tent if you are going with others, it's a great spot and pretty sheltered.
Hey Si, I’ve been with you for a while now. I really enjoy your vids. You love Dartmoor and that shines through with your humour and commentary. I’ve not seen Ant out with you for a while. You and he always managed to make me chuckle. Now you have moved onto a new dimension with the lovely Amanda and Patch. I grew up in a small village in Hampshire in the Test Valley. As a child we had family holidays in the New Forest, the family holidays eventually went to Weymouth and finally to Devon and Cornwall. My father was a farm worker with 5 children. Money was always tight. Our first tents were ex Army. I have great memories of those days. Your channel is fantastic, long may you continue 👍👍👍

Ant's partner has been seriously ill and although she is recovering she still isn't perfectly fit. We do have plans going forward but for now we have to be patient. I remember camping in a canvas tent with wooden poles and cord guy-lines, happily I didn't have to carry it, lol. Even the first tent I bought with my own money frightens me now with it's tubular steel poles and heavy plastic flooring.

It's certainly well made. I'm just nervous about the inner first aspect, we haven't been caught out yet but it's just a matter of time here, lol

Good to see the mine as the last time I was there I camped at Doe Tor and twisted my knee....had keyhole surgery as a result and so plan to get up there again.
Thought when you panned around naming the tors... Hare Tor, Sharp Tor and landed on Amanda you were going to say Scarey Tor but no you called her Sore Head! She has to put up with a lot for sure....hats off to her (no pun intended)! Cheers.
Amanda gives far more than she takes in insults from me, I just edit them out to make me look like the bad guy, lol.
When you go again be careful next time, at least you know a good physio...now about my elbow...

Another good informative video Si & Amanda, well done! Obviously heading upmarket with the headgear 😇. How do you manage to limit the ads? Some 30 minute videos seem to have ads every 5 minutes. Tent looks ideal if you have a dog to accommodate. Regards Keith
Monetised creators can choose not to have ads in the middle of their vids. If there are ads during the vids then they have chosen to do so.
If a channel is not monetised YT can choose to put ads in the vids for their own profit.
I choose not to as it breaks up the flow but then as a creator you’re missing out on revenue…. Hope that helps! 🥰

I have nothing to do with the ads, I'm not monetised, if you get them every five minutes I think it's a YT'er just making money. But that said I did look back a while ago and YT had put four ads on an old film of mine, not my doing and I'm not getting a penny for them. It's a cheek when they expect so much from creators and give so little back.

I despise the colour, but as a tent it's superb. As for getting plenty of use...I'm sure the camera is off at night...

You wanted some more comments, so here is mine.
I think I've watched every video you've ever made, right back to the days when you couldn't bear to speak on camera or even show your face. As far as I can remember, I've enjoyed them all.
If you would accept a minor criticism, I'll say you could think about turning the camera away when you show us a view of the countryside, as your gurt head is often in the way. Other than that, I can't invent any more negatives.
Amanda is a lovely addition to the channel, as you grumble much less these days, and the way you both spark off one another is amusing. She must be a game lass to put up with you.
On the other hand, Patch seems to have even less to say than Amanda. You could always give him a few lines.
Keep doing what you're doing, me old mate - there's not a lot wrong with it.

@@ksgonewild Little do they realise any interaction helps the channel, apparently subs don't anymore, not that that worries me. We're getting a third to half the views that we were getting, YT are turning the screw on small channels it would seem.
