Holy cow that was a big sleeping mat. That was like watching inspector gadget when his stuff just kept unfolding out of his hat. I honestly expected four posts and some drapes to pop up at some point 🤣 and oh my!!! 400L of water for that little meal 😉 I do wish I was closer to Dartmoor, there's some stunning places that are so accessible. Thanks for taking us with you and giving me the motivation to just go camp. ❤

I actually emailed Trekology when I read the specs on the UL140 as I couldn’t believe how far removed from the UL80 it is in terms of pack size and weight. All they needed to do was insulate a UL80, can’t understand why they felt it needed the pump and pillow building in. Great film Trev. Love the locations you find on the moors, looking forward to heading down your way soon!
Hi ya Rich, how ya doing? Yea the UL140 would be a lot better without the pump, must say that I really enjoyed the pillow though, a bonus seeing how I had forgotten mine and it did the job. Thanks for watching. Ping me a message as to when you are looking to head down this way, maybe could cross paths?

Proper job on the tarp Trev - and to think you used to struggle! You must feel like the luckiest bugger alive having all that a walk from your front door mate, fair play. Something about a hazy, early dawn in mid summer, when you just know it's gonna be a scorcher - special, and caught brilliantly. Great vid, and top bloke for the barbie clearup. Cheers. Rich 👍

Good evening Trev, loved the close up on the Skylark near the start of your hike up. Some beautiful "god rays" breaking through the clouds, beautifully captured too We were both pleased to see the Dartmoor legends book come out of the pack! 👻♥️ Great work on the kit and load out, very nice for a night on the hill. Lovely feel to this video Trev, must say we do enjoy the longer videos, I know you cant please everyone, but you have succeeded in pleasing us ♥️☕🤗 Pump seemed to work a bit better this time too, although you need a bigger tarp for your mat lol! Interesting to hear about the R-value 🤭😁👍 Dartmoor legend, whooooahahhahaha! Didn't trust that creepy sheep mind 👻🐑 liked your tale of the snowy footprint too. Spotted the creepy moon face too! Nice talk about fears and camping too, something I struggle with a bit, Kat smashes them, I often lay there one eye open all night lol! Killer badgers of murder goats. Might head down your way this week for a micro adventure 🤗 What a stunning morning too, wow! Picture perfection ♥️🌄 Cracking video as always Trev, have a good start to the week, Ceri and Kat 🏕♥️⛰👍☕
Cheers Guys! Real glad that you enjoyed this video. I edited as normal, but then when I came to add music to it, I realised that there was no wind noise ruining the shots and I watched the majority through enjoying the summer ambience... glad I decided to leave it off for a bit of a change. Worked OK. If I wasn't so busy this week I could have met you for a microadventure, we shall have to at some point. Anyway, take care and thanks for watching! Cheers!
Cheerz Paolo. Yes, its a lovely sound first thing in the morning. The whole soundscape of this one seemed fine for once without music (no wind interference... very rare)
A couple of months ago I bought a Klymit pad, the Static Luxe V, which is their largest option... but did not like at all, as all those crevices simply create points where you will hit the ground, making it kinda uncomfortable. I ended up returning it. Instead, I bought the same pad you got here, the UL140 and I liked it way more... and a tip on getting it all flat to fit it into the original bag... open the deflate valve, and then just press on the pump all you can (of course the inflation valve closed), that will avoid it re-inflating, it is a little hard to do, but it works :) Unless they made the bag XL on the ones I bought haha, but I am sure I got it back to original. Greetings from Mexico!
As for getting that pump cushion back into its bag, push all the air out of the mattress, then out of the cushion, and close the plug before it self-reinflates. Might work.
Yea - was a nice little evening out. Not managing to get out quite as much as I would like at the moment now that life has picked up a lot. Hopefully wil do soon though. Cheers for watching!
Love those open landscapes where you can track the sun and the clouds and the rain. ❤️ and omg those golden rays streaming through the clouds around 3.27 ❤️
Yea - some smashing views from up here - even lower down at Rowtor the views are just as amazing. Was great to get out there and make the most of this calm relaxing evening!
I used to say exactly the same about Tarp camping, but on nights like this, its a real relaxing experience. Glad you managed to get out too. Not so bad once you make the plunge, is it? Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful night on the moors and a wonderful morning. That mattress looks really comfy and that tarp setup is excellent, so many different ways to set it up. Thanks for the ghost story too! 👻👻👻😁
This reminds me of only fools and horses but for camping 😂😂 love it.. made me laugh putting the tarp up and turning gas on💥 😂 just a quick one…. might help if your putting 2 poles in to peg the back corners out.. if your using 1 front pole don’t peg the back corners out and took them in.. Keeps the tarp tighter and closer to the floor.. Ps.. you made me laugh so I’ve subscribe 😉
Better late than never, just caught up with ya and made my night as I love the Dartmoor legends you read to us. Love things like that 😬 find the topic entrancing. Great views and the sunset was awesome thanks for sharing Trev x
Thanks Anne. Really glad that you caught up and even more thrilled that you enjoyed this video and the dartmoor legends. Take care and thanks for watching!
Great vid as usual Trev. Ive used this tarp set up a few times and found if you increase the height of the front pole by a small amount and put small guys to the outside loops it raises the edges off the floor slightly and letting a bit of air flow through, causing a lot less condensation. ALSO i f you position the small pole outside, held in place with a guy rope through the tie loop , it gives you that bit more room in the tarp ( the links for the guy ropes etc are on Papa Hikers site) Thanks again.
"Just sleep on a hill .. no hiking .. just camping" seems a great idea and quite common now. In the good old days (??) 😉 you would walk for miles and miles, pitch up, sleep and walk back the following day. I've done that too, but the fun is the camping, not the walking walking walking. What has been your shortest walk to a camp (excluding any back garden camp)
Probably this one, Brian. I dint have a lot of time to get there and set up, so literally just pitched about 200m's from the car, I think. Still feels like youre up on the moor though. We have done plenty of camps where we have walked all day with all of our gear, and ended up camping close to the car though! Idiots! Hahah!
Enjoyed that Trev! Looked a great little spot 👍🏻 enjoyed the story as well 😆 and fair play taking all that sh*te you found away I had to do the same the other week in the Peaks the bell ends had left crap lying around. Keep the great videos coming ATB Dan
Dont people absolutely drive you nuts - so many out there with no clue. Shame. Anyway, was a nice camp and a great evening for it. Thanks for watching! Cheers !
Another great video, Trev. Blimey, that UL140 is a big beast 😂, I thought my UL80 was bulky enough. I certainly liked the DD hammock setup and may consider that for myself in the future. I was down on Dartmoor last week from Kent, my first time on the moors. I took a stroll up West Mill Tor from Row Tor Car Park, then over to Row Tor for an overnight wild camp. Dartmoor is awesome, I will definitely be out on the moors more in the future 😉. ATB, Dave 👍
Outstanding tarp night Trevor! I have the UL 80, and an Uber Light Neoair, but prefer the UL80, even though it is 500g heavier, as I sleep better on it 🙂 Great tarp set up to, thanks.
Trev or, you’re a black belt in origami! Great job on the tarp. 👍🏻👍🏻 Take a look at the aegis max duck down or (if you’re flush!) goose down sleeping quilts, Melon Bites does a decent review of them, minimal bulk, great warmth, and not much ‘down’ side to it (see what he did there?). Cheers!
Great video again trev, despite me needing my dinner and internet cutting at one point I had to watch in 3 parts 🤣. Bet you scared a few of you subscribers who are non Facebook users haha. Lovely shots, and liked the no music style and a couple of times you did use music were perfect for them shots. I also get that feeling where you climb a massive mountain and then are shattered on a little low key hill haha. All the best, cheers Joe!
Yea, this little hill certainly did knock the crap out of me 🤣🤣🤣. Glad you liked the video, went well without so much musical accompaniment. Cheers for watching!
Man, this is one of my favorite outdoor channels. Trev and Nath make me laugh. Great content, great guys doing all sorts of stuff like average Joes. Scary storytime. The views make me want to jump on the first plane to go camp on Dartmoor or hit up the coast. Slowly amble my way up a Lake District mountain.
Another great video Trev. 🙂 We're about to go on our first wild camp on the moor and I have gone from extreme excitement to pure terror, I know it will be wonderful but I woke up at 5am the other morning thinking of all the things that could go wrong. You should see my notes, pack list and planning 🤣 I think my biggest worry is getting to the site and finding someone else there already 😂
Hahah.... I remember those days, now I just throw in the basics and hope I havent forgotten anything lol. If the weather's like it is at the moment, you'll have an awesome time. Enjoy it!
I use a UL80 which doesn't have an inbuilt pump. I take a Vaude pump sack - but that doubles as a dry-bag so I don't mind that. I tend to sleep warm anyway so not worried about something with a greater R value.
I have the UL80 too. The last few times the UL80 has gone down through the night, which is a shame because its so comfy. I have gone and forked out for a thermarest neo air lite so hopefully that will be as comfy, even though plenty warm enough.
I don’t know how you do it but your videos are very unique vs many other similar camping videos. Again really enjoyed this one and like the longer lengths of the videos
I bought a cheap mat to try out that had a similar pump. I had problems packing it back up but found that if I closed the non return opening and pushed the foam pad flat it stayed compressed and I was able to roll it small enough to fit. Another great video
That’s a shame looks a really good mat though. Try flattening it Trev and shoving the purple cap in why flat and see if that keeps the pump / foam compressed. Thanks again for another great video
I've been eyeballing that same trekology mat. Right now I'm using the Klymit Static V mat and I think it's great for warmer months (super lightweight). Love your channel, subscribed!!!
Fantastic Trev. Thanks for the tarp tent instruction - I will do that at some point. I'm camping this weekend near Dartmoor - Dartmoor next year I think.
Nice vid,Trev. I have a tarp that I haven’t used yet. Be up on The Mendip Hills soon with it,after watching this. Do you not use some sort of groundsheet to stop punctures or water coming up through if it decides to rain? All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
That pad is not one I would want to pack to far... I agree on the fear... Not really fear just an edginess at sudden sounds in the quiet... Enjoyed another Dartmoor Legend... I have often wanted to film the sunrise but I never seem to get up in time... and I hate to set an alarm when camping... LOL ... Well who ever left that kettle out there ; If you can't carry it out don't carry it in... I hope they come back looking for it...Would serve them right...
Hi ya Max - thanks ever so much for watching! I know what you mean about an edginess when camping, I try not to think about it, but yea - every little noise can set you off! I have missed a few sunrises since my set up has got a little more comfy, I must admit lol. Take care, sir!
Great video, really like the lack of music for those quiet parts 👍🏻👍🏻. Also, check out the Exped Downmats, I’m tempted vs the Thermarest route. They do synthetic and down fill and come in slightly cheaper than the thermarest that Nath has.
Yea, for once there was absolutely no wind interference. It seemed to work really well without the need for music. Really happy with how it turned out. Thanks for watching and for the recommendation, will check them out cheers
Thanks Trev. Great video! Can you talk a bit more about your future himalayas adventures? Would be awesome to see you guys do the trek to everest basecamp! Only thing is there's a fair few bridge crossings lol 😆
I've got a himalayas trip with Hospiscare that I have been fundraising for, supposed to be later in the year but not sure whether that will get postponed again yet. Its not to base camp but several days trekking through the mountains.
Nice one Trevor not sure about the spooky story's I would be on edge 😂😂😂 I was thinking about getting that new mat but the pack down size puts me off atvb jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Hi Trev I have the same bag for my stove kit and the draw string came out on mine recently to while in the tumble dryer, I tied a knot in one end and pushed the knot through, took about 2 minutes but as good as new now
Great video, first time I actually see someone set up their tarp in real-time and actually use it! Love the configuration as well. I'm about to buy my first tarp camping gear and while a bivy seems extremely handy, I hear a ton of stories about condensation issues inside them... What's your experience? Thanks!
Condensation alright as long as it doesn't drip on you, I guess lol. I have found it can be a bit condensates some mornings, which is weird considering it's open fronted with air flowing beneath too. It's never been enough to bother me though.
Cheers Scott. I like the pad but boy do I struggle to get the air out of that pump. And the summer bag does its job, comfy, relatively warm for these conditions. Cheers for watching
Think I seen Nathan in that tarp before . . looks good for the right environment. I hate those OEX bags though I had one and was frozen init around 2 degrees with a down jacket and full clothes... possible ok for the summer but the temp ratings are a mile out on OEX bags. Had a few and mates too .
Yea - he chose some God-Awful nights to go out in the old tarp - no wonder he's in the tent nowadays lol. I have only bought this bag for the summer - biut will be looking for something smaller and lighter too. I must say, I used the OEX down bag through the winter last year ad really enjoyed it! Cheers for watching!
@@SummitOrNothing just got one of these Trevor today in the large size they are envelope type but with a taper to the feet so not as extreme as a mummy bag but not like an old school rectangular bag. Absolutely top notch for the money I can tell it will make a super warm summer to early autumn bag and 580 grams! The large size is best as it uses the taper the smaller one is rectangular. I got the black one too Aegeismax makes good bags. If you are a side sleeper too the vertical baffles are way better as the down just doesn't drop to the sides and make you have an empty crisp packet covering your hips and shoulders m.aliexpress.com/item/4000842587824.html?spm=a2g0n.productlist.0.0.3e5e5d17Y0dqsd&browser_id=14269a15a3344e17934ebeffa37b5c2d&aff_trace_key=e4c51e53cc2647919b0cd3c7dcb27af5-1624885948077-01898-UneMJZVf&aff_platform=msite&m_page_id=qqtf3glry4cavwnt17a52bfef394a14263f2073ba8&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5uWGBhCTARIsAL70sLJsNEazlf5l2y_dW94CJ0LYC4Z0VawkEPAnN7yyaNXwNCGdgK-xyoAaAumIEALw_wcB&_imgsrc_=ae01.alicdn.com%2Fkf%2FHa2a58b5d685142be93fe338bb018b4fa0.png_640x640.png_.webp
Cracking camp there Trev. As soon as you said you had a new sleeping bag I just knew it would be the one I've just bought great minds think alike. I haven't tried mine yet but had to have one for 34 bucks. If you going for a Thermarest I can highly recommend spending that little bit extra on the xtherm I have had mine out in the minus conditions and out recently in the warmer weather and it has been an absolute pleasure. Fair play for sleeping with the creepy crawley's ps. that wired hovering face was creepy ✌
Yea - the Xtherm is on my list, but not sure whether to try an alternative so Nath and I have something to compare... who knows... will be going a little higher price though I should think. ANd yea, I saw teh same offer and thought... well, i do need a new sleeping bag lol. Cheers for watching, mate. Take care and catch up soon perhaps?
Loved the sun rays coming through the clouds. How are you finding the UL Tarp Trevor? Mine ripped the first night I used it (may have been a defect) so I ended up getting my money back and going back to the original 3x3 DD. Really enjoyable video of a cracking wee overnighter. 👍
Cheers Ewen. My superlight tarp has been with me for about 4 years now, used a handful of times but so far no rippages. Quite impressed with it to be honest.
Summit or …. Lightweight 👍 Look at down quilts for summer, lighter and like being in bed, compress down to almost nothing. Swiss piranha nylon pegs weigh next to nothing and very strong. Mattress …thermarest neo air xlite……… still the one to beat
Great vid Trev but when tarp camping, don't you get creepy crawlies in your crevices? I ask because, years ago, when poles used to be inside the frame tents, after a few days, we were sat having breakfast in the living area and earwigs started dropping onto us.😱😱 On further inspection, between the poles and the canvas was absolutely alive with the buggers! Was so bad that we packed up and had to strip and shower, before heading home, to be sure they weren't in our clothes!
I always hunker right down in the bivvy bag, so usually keep them out. But to be honest, in my line of work I'm always pulling spiders and bugs out of my hair. 🕷
I saw the same thing, dam scary! Had to watch it several times in slow motion, zoomed in before I figured it out as the clouds in the night sky and the movement of the camara. Still spooky though.
Another enjoyable video thanks. I don't know if a tarp shelter is for me yet, having seen too many of your vids lol. Any news about the Mongar 2? I am weighing up my options. Cloud up2 or the Mongar 2 for my next buy.
Love the DD 3x3 but I’m trying a smaller one for stealthy camping with may bivi. I have a tarp poncho but not sure if it’s as rain resistant as the big boy. I’ll have to test out before trekking.
Have you seen the ice flame quilts on Ali express trev? Very warm and lighter than a sleeping bag. Plenty of good reviews to have a look at. I sold that bag you are using as the quilt is perfect for the summer.
I parked right beneath West Mill Tor, if you turn left immediately before the bridge as you enter the moor passed the camp the road takes you up between rowtor and west mill.
Loved this video! Can’t recommend the exped downmat enough! Prefer it entirely to the thermarest neoair. My son loves Dartmoor legends. He freaks his camping buddies out with them.
@@SummitOrNothing I have the down mat lite 5 M. It is great. The boy has a synnmat 5 m which is not as warm but its still alright. I find they feel a lot less narrow than the thermarest but I am not sure why except the baffles go top to bottom rather than side to side. They do a wide version. You dont have to have an integrated pump. They have a silly separate one but I use the little electric one that you have/had to pump it up.
Get the same question about being in my own nope not scared cause figure the boogie man or who ever lol would have to find me good luck. It also drives me crazy when people leave stuff behind. Pack it in pack it out
Hey Trev did you grow up in that area? It’s just amazes me how strange that terrain is. I’ve never seen anything like that here in Texas. So open and no trees. It interests me but it seems so windy all the time. I’m a tree man. Do you have forest around there?
Hi Ray. I was about 40 - 50 miles from here, but could always see Dartmoor looming in the distance. There are some woods and forests around but not on the scale of the open moorland.
Well done for taking that barbecue home Trev. Good man.
Shame people have to leave stuff on the moors. But... As a bonus, I now have a half decent bbq....

ATB, Dave 👍
DD Tarp is a handy bit of kit Trev . Perfect for summer camp , really not much more needed👌 Great video
Yea, definitely keeps the weight down. Thanks for watching
Impressed with the tarp Trev lovely morning shame you hid so well from sunrise 💪💪👍🏴
Yea, what an eejit lol. Hopefully catch the sunrise next time out. Cheers for watching!
Ghost of dartmoor took me offguard. Very original content.
😂😂 Yea - me too, William! Thanks for watching!
Outstanding tarp night Trevor! I have the UL 80, and an Uber Light Neoair, but prefer the UL80, even though it is 500g heavier, as I sleep better on it 🙂 Great tarp set up to, thanks.
the grouse had me in stitches
🤣🤣🤣
Trev or, you’re a black belt in origami! Great job on the tarp. 👍🏻👍🏻 Take a look at the aegis max duck down or (if you’re flush!) goose down sleeping quilts, Melon Bites does a decent review of them, minimal bulk, great warmth, and not much ‘down’ side to it (see what he did there?). Cheers!
🤣🤣🤣 Great pun! Love it! Will add them to the list. Cheers for watching!
Good lad taken the Bq away with you good video for Sunday night thanks
Yea - will tidy it up and that'll be our beach bbq! There loss.... dickheads lol
Great video. Always fun.
Thanks Darren.
Thanks Matty, really glad to hear that you rate us pair of idiots so highly lol. Cheers for watching!
Cracking video with amazing time-lapse. Really enjoyed it, thank you 🐧👊
Cheers Chris, glad that you enjoyed it, thanks for watching.
Great looking camp
Thanks Mick. Really enjoyed this one.
@@SummitOrNothing you're welcome. I've subscribed so going to enjoy your other videos 🙂👍
Great demo on how to set up a tarp.
Thanks Simon!
Quite possibly your best video. Loved it Trev :)
Thanks Ryan. Not bad for an impromptu last minute camp!
Great video, and huge respect for sorting that bbq 👍🏻
Cheers Phil!
Brilliant camp. Well done
Cheers James. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Helps to chill me out
Glad to hear that, cheers.
Love the addition on 21 minutes lol
Yea, that made me look twice when editing that 😱💩
Haha the creepy creature passes behind you at 21:01
👻👻🤣🤣
I don’t know how you do it but your videos are very unique vs many other similar camping videos. Again really enjoyed this one and like the longer lengths of the videos
Thanks very much. I always think my videos are a little slapdash if I compare to others lol. Glad you enjoyed ot though.
I bought a cheap mat to try out that had a similar pump. I had problems packing it back up but found that if I closed the non return opening and pushed the foam pad flat it stayed compressed and I was able to roll it small enough to fit. Another great video
Great tip. Unfortunately, this one doesn't have a non return valve on the foam pad. ☹ Cheers for watching!
Ah, i may have to look into your mat suggestion too then. Thanks for sharing, cheers!
Fantastic Trev. Thanks for the tarp tent instruction - I will do that at some point. I'm camping this weekend near Dartmoor - Dartmoor next year I think.
Its a different experience in the taro, fine on nights like this but makes you aware of all the wee beasties lol. Thanks for watching Michaela
Thanks for your video!
Thank you for watching!
Great video Trevor! Shame about the BBQ, but views look epic. And loved to see the Tarp setup as well!
Cheers Bradley. Thanks for watching!
Dartmoor - great place 👍
Yea - I love it!
Great video and content as always that new trekology pad is hugh 👍
Cheers. Yea thats some pad.
Trev, do you have problems with ticks on Dartmoor this year? There is a plague of them in wilds Sussex!
Havent so far. They are about, I often see posts on Dartmoor groups and pages. Not found one on me yet, hopefully I've not missed any.
Very entertaining and nicely done video! You inspire me sir to explore Dartmoor. Got the same sleeping bag by the way.
Great stuff! You should definitely have a look at the moor. Hope youre enjoying the sleeping bag! Cheers!
Brilliant video, I’ve got that sleeping bag and it’s awesome 🤩
Cheers Corey. Yea i think it will be a great addition for the summer. Thanks for watching
Nice tent set up brother whats your woodland one like
Thanks Trev.
Great vid as always. And you said the Zephros was a faff! Unlike that tarp lol? Looked like a nice spot too.
The zephyros was not only a faff it was also incredibly cramped and flappy, the tarp was at least spacious and taught. Cheers for watching.
Nice one Trevor not sure about the spooky story's I would be on edge 😂😂😂 I was thinking about getting that new mat but the pack down size puts me off atvb jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Yea - hopefully they will create a alternativeUL140 without the stupid annoying pump... that would be so much easier! Cheers for watching!
Well done Trev. Lovely spot . I'm off down Dartmoor this week for another solo camp. Forget Monday though. Weather looks shite
Yes its a bit of a shit start to the week. Hope it clears up for you. all the best, cheers!
Nice one Trev 👍🏼
Cheers Yakoob!
Hi Trev I have the same bag for my stove kit and the draw string came out on mine recently to while in the tumble dryer, I tied a knot in one end and pushed the knot through, took about 2 minutes but as good as new now
Yea - I should imagine its fixable, hanks for the tip! Cheers!
@@SummitOrNothing is that the tarp or the bivy you're talking about? Does the bivy have ventilation holes other than the face opening?
Oh I see. I meant the tarp. I have a rab bivvy which seems OK so far
well done trev and great video
Thanks Phil!
Just got that sleeping pad it’s awesome. I almost bought that sleeping bag yesterday. Looking forward to hearing you review both.
Cheers Scott. I like the pad but boy do I struggle to get the air out of that pump. And the summer bag does its job, comfy, relatively warm for these conditions. Cheers for watching
Cracking video. That was the perfect camp.
ATB Adam 👍👍
Yea, sometimes they do go ok lol
If you are a side sleeper too the vertical baffles are way better as the down just doesn't drop to the sides and make you have an empty crisp packet covering your hips and shoulders

Cracking bag the 300 Trev, I use one for the summer 👍
Yea, i have enjoyed it so far, mate. Cheers.
Fair play for sleeping with the creepy crawley's
ps. that wired hovering face was creepy ✌
@@SummitOrNothing Yea that would be good 👍
Just say the word mate.
Catch ya later ✌
Trevor I watched a video of your were you used foil bags to cook food to use for camping. Can you tell me where you buy the right ones mate? Thanks
Lightweight 👍
Look at down quilts for summer, lighter and like being in bed, compress down to almost nothing.
Swiss piranha nylon pegs weigh next to nothing and very strong.
Mattress …thermarest neo air xlite……… still the one to beat
Cheers Steve - some food for thought there, thanks!
Nice one-nighter Trev. Shame some knob left the bbq. Well done on the LNT front.
Always some dickhead has to try and spoil it for the rest of us, heh?
Enjoyed that.
@@SummitOrNothing 😱
Have you noticed the scary face over your shoulder at 21.01 👻😱👽
I saw the same thing, dam scary! Had to watch it several times in slow motion, zoomed in before I figured it out as the clouds in the night sky and the movement of the camara. Still spooky though.
good vid sara......carry on
Thanks Jason!
Another enjoyable video thanks. I don't know if a tarp shelter is for me yet, having seen too many of your vids lol. Any news about the Mongar 2? I am weighing up my options. Cloud up2 or the Mongar 2 for my next buy.
I havent tried the Mongar 2 yet, hopefully will get around to it at some point. I do love the cloud up though I have to admit.
Love the DD 3x3 but I’m trying a smaller one for stealthy camping with may bivi. I have a tarp poncho but not sure if it’s as rain resistant as the big boy. I’ll have to test out before trekking.
Yea, I've often wondered whether the ponchos would be worth a go... and then done nothing about it lol
@@SummitOrNothing ha ha I only tried it a few weeks ago. Im not sire how well it will deal with heavy rain so need to test it out more.
Try the alpkit pipe dream sleeping bag range, there awesome! 👌
OK, Stephen... cheers for the heads up.
Have you seen the ice flame quilts on Ali express trev? Very warm and lighter than a sleeping bag. Plenty of good reviews to have a look at. I sold that bag you are using as the quilt is perfect for the summer.
Yea - I've not tried a quilt - I like to be wrapped o be honest but may be worth looking into. Cheers!
Same thing happened to my draw string on my titanium cup bag just use elastic band Trev jobs a goodun
Yea - bit of a shame but not a hard fix I reckon!
Nice video Trev can I ask a question where do you park ? Fancy a short wild camp up that way
I parked right beneath West Mill Tor, if you turn left immediately before the bridge as you enter the moor passed the camp the road takes you up between rowtor and west mill.
Great video a Trev.
Cheers Malcom!
That's a good looking tarp set up, what this your first attempt at putting it up? Very slick! I enjoyed the ghost story... keep 'em coming. ATB xx
No, not my first time, but the first time in a couple of years. Thank you for watching, Rachel!
Loved this video! Can’t recommend the exped downmat enough! Prefer it entirely to the thermarest neoair. My son loves Dartmoor legends. He freaks his camping buddies out with them.
Haha! Good on him. Which model of the exped do you have - i see that some of them have an integrated pump too - is that as obtrusive as the Trekology?
Pack it in pack it out
Yea - thats pretty much how I think too Tammie - both about camping fears and camping mess! Cheers for watching!
