Its so crazy to look back and see you with long hair. Love your videos.
Same! I'm watching from 2024, looking at some of the older videos, like you mentioned
Andy's hair & beard was unexpected
Same here. I’ve been watching Andy for two years now and omg he still looks very much the same. It is June 2024 and I stumbled on this video and I am grateful.
Your videos are awesome! I have liver cirrhosis stage 4 and it's calming to watch the scenery and love the camp cooking videos. My son and I watch the channel and he loves camping I can't go anymore because of the illness but vicariously through your adventures. Just wanted to say thanks and keep on making more vids.
Still trucking bro?
I agree. I have severe emphysema and heart failure and I love the easy way the videos are made. A BIG thank you Andy ❤
Oh my...how young Andy looks in this video!
only started watching just watched this one thought had wrong video till i saw you you not only have long hear but a beard didnt know who you were but love everything from you keep on dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, 5 years on you are doing an amazing job with your videos. I look forward to seeing more of your camping trips 👍👍
1/20/24 now started watching these earlier vlogs. Interesting how you have progressed, setting up various tents and cooking style. Awesome vlogs no matter when they were done ❤
Just found this program recently. Wonderful. So glad to watch your calm no matter what happy attitude
with the long hike, and all the hassle, your an extreemly calm man. nice to see that,
Hello from the States! I recently discovered your channel and I'm hooked. Has anyone told you that you could be the Bob Ross of bushcraft? I appreciate your calm, friendly videos. Very interesting and informative!
Hi Jason, thanks buddy
True words
The Dartmoor Society, Dartmoor National Park plus several local associations can give further information on your tour through Fernworthy and its ancient sites. I can remember photographing the Teignhead clapper bridge way back in 2002 for English Heritages ‘millenium’ project. Great place for walks from the Warren Inn. Enjoyed your vlog, a merry Christmas to all Kent Survival supporters.
Enjoyed the Conoe Trip
with Simon ,The viddles ( breakfast) and venison and Potatoes looked perfect, I'd like to see You try Your Luck at fishing Someday .
Cheers from Don from Charlotte N.C Across the Pond, Happy Trails to You !

Lol... classic line... "Ive left the beer in the truck!" Never mind the wet, snow, wind, potential for hyperthermia. ...the beer had been left behind Quality! ... good trip , thx for sharing atb.

This was a really fun location. Loved seeing the Dartmoor ponies!❤
Awesome video Andy. WOW, you look so different. With long hair and a beard.
Thank you for sharing and for all the hard work and time you put into your awesome videos.
KEEP ADVENTURING
GOD BLESS YOU
🤗HUGS🤗
You’ve got the life bud loving the vids very therapeutic before going to sleep keep up the good work 👏🏾🔥
Having watched mostly your more recent videos, watching something early like this shows Andy "in the raw" sort to speak. Not to call it amateurish but certainly not to the level of camerawork and production of the latest efforts that exhibits more polish and experience. This is more like a vlog or video journal with lots of "on the ground and in the trenches" shakeycam perspective. Anyway, Andy in any flavor is quality time no matter what. Keep on truckin', Andy. :)
I live on the moor, its the most magical place. But boy the weather can turn in a heartbeat...Great video and thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed very much. I watched during my lunch break at work. So incredibly relaxing to watch and great for stress relief.
Hi
With the fire 🔥 it’s not just roots. If there’s peat, that can burn underground and cause serious fires. That’s the fire at the first stop.
Good video looks cool to say the least.
That is Hiking and Camping alright! Exhausted by the end of a day walking over wet and uneven ground. Your presentation, production and channel have come a long way up in three years!
Steak looks awesome. Red and juicy the way I love it
Dartmoor - I immediately associate it with "The Hound of Baskerville." And the wild ponies. Thankyou for sharing this hike.
on the moors there is a car park with a food truck at hound tor called hound of the basket meals haha
Thank you Andy for the video. It was cool to see one of your beginning videos. I just started watching this year.
You really captured the atmosphere of a cold, damp, snowy afternoon on Dartmoor in this video. So a very realistic video. Came over well! I mean, camping in the summer is easy, but under those conditions it's, well, survival!
Just watched this one again too and great video. The moors are so unpredictable even in the summer....
Love to come bk to the old vid it just shows how much you have come and improved.👍🇬🇧
Thanks Daniel, I loved this tent for its size and weight but its just too restrictive.
Wow that's is awesome to see you walking around with the snow
Good old dartmoor ,all 4 seasons in 1 day.On a serious note ,many people have been caught out by the weather and terrain but being well prepared will see you right ,great vid mate
indeed it is, but we love it that way :p Thanks Martin
I loved the great grey shrike that was brilliant I’ve just watched this again years after first watching it and I missed that bit somehow I look on your back catalogue having a look around keep up the great work Andy
Not a shrike, that's was a male wheatear.
Brrr Man! Chilly outing with little firewood. Good thing you were prepared for such an outing and kept it fun. Great video!
Absolutely beautiful!!
He is neat and organized person .I love to watch his video..
Awesome video, love the countryside!...Thanks for sharing...
Thank you very much :)
Nice video, thanks for sharing. That spot for the second night looked very nice. Dartmoor is definitely on my list of places to visit and camp.
Thank you for watching, I'd suggest Dartmoor Explorer's channel as it gives a lot more detail on the area :)
Hi, just found your channel, and i can say i love it. Keep on your good work,it's amazing!
It’s interesting you studied film Andy. Once you know that, It’s quite clear you have training in that particular art. From composition to your edits, the professionalism shines through. I think your talent really comes across in the way you use music in your videos. It’s not noticeable, but enhances the visuals. The way it should be imo. Another reason your videos are so enjoyable. Keep it going Andy, Attenborough has to retire sometime 😉
That rocky bit at the start gives me LOTR vibes 🙂
Good on ya for sticking it out thru the snow. I have to admit i laughed out loud when you finally got back to camp only to find you left the beer in the truck. Felt real bad for you after all those trips ! I was happy to see you got a nice warm fire and meal into you after that. Its about -15 C at night where i'm at in canada, so your vids are getting me thru till it warms up to near freezing before i get out to the bush for an overnighter. Cheers.
Thanks Dan, I was a little underprepared.. there was no warning of snow and was the end of April.. I nearly took my summer sleeping bag, glad I didn't haha. Ive got camped below around -4... think id need some new kit to stick out -15 haha
Your videos are my only opportunity to camp out! Love it! Watch them at night with a glass of wine. Thanks!
FOUND YOUR CHANNEL AM LEARNING AND DOING THIS MYSELF NOW, I LOVE IT
Good vid Andy .. cheers buddy all the best cheers Chris & Sam
Finally, a neighbour! Subscribed and look forward to seeing some more bushcraft videos. Best wishes - Steve
i love all your videos, cooking one and older ones like this, just love it all! ty for your content pls dont stop!
Thanks Amanda :) you keep watching and ill keep filming :p
Great trip thanks for sharing, how good does food taste outdoors and in the cold? Cannot possibly be bettered. Great scenery.
Ist time seeing you. Your weather like ours in Georgia. Wait 5 min it will change. I can't camp anymore and so fun seeing the old farm n animals. Thanks for sharing bit about you n stay safe. Liked n subscribed ..will see you in the future. Take care!
Great video, beautiful land
Great video .. don't stop. Genuine, interesting and so enjoyable to watch. Thank you Kent explorer.
Yea we thought we were out of the woods, pun intended, when it comes to snow. Got hit once there a little while back, starting to get warm finally! Nice trip. Cheers! :)
haha, it could have been worse.. just glad i took my 4 season bag. Thanks for watching.
Dude , love your truck.
Just started watching and am enjoying your love for the outdoors. Keep it up. My 5 and 3 year old grandkids watch with me. My 5 year old is learning some bushcraft skills through me showing him. My three year old likes the cooking parts. She'll keep scrolling back to the parts she likes over and over. It takes me twice as long to watch a vid than it would if I'm alone. I love it though. Happy camping👍👍
Thank you David, much appreciated buddy :) sounds like your 3 year old is gonna be a foodie :)
Amazing countryside. Love your videos. Cheers from Nova Scotia Canada
You know, your videos are so peaceful and educational it's a privilege to watch.
Great video, I can recall wild camping in the same place with a mate some badly put together tarps 4 years ago. One quick suggestion for food, notice you kept the supermarket packaging, I put my supplies into zip locks, easier to store and carry (maybe not for the beans though).
Love your truck. Those tyres must cost a blimmin fortune!!!
Love the videos...inspiring me no end :-)
Nice to see lovely place enjoy your stay!!
Thanks Maria
Great video and location. Incidentally, I also went out on the 27th April on a photo shoot and although that was here in the peak district, it was cold and wet, so I guess that the UK was going through the throws of it's final winter weather. I like the camp sites that you chose, though I'm sure you would have appreciated warmer weather. Shame about leaving the beer in your 4x4, they should have had priority listing as a survival must. Thanks for sharing. Take care...
Hey, thank you. yeah, shame about the beer.. I've not forgotten them since haha. I saw Carlisle195 did a video of this time as well and had some pretty grim weather (made for a nice thumbnail though so can't complain haha) ATB
Blyme, it's a Hairy Andy!!
That is 1 great truck you've got. with that flat paint job, in the U.S. we'd call it "murdered."
Really enjoyed this video as I do all your video's brother. Thanks for sharing your wild camp with us my friend....
Keith
The Alabama Bushcrafter
Thanks Keith, always appreciated buddy
The answer to how long is a piece of string. Twice the distance from the middle !
Great video mate. I see you've been introduced to the changeable Dartmoor weather! Gutted that you left the beers back at the motor after all that walking etc, nothing more annoying. That steak looked delicious, and I'm vegetarian! Hope you enjoyed Dartmoor though, I've not run out of wild camping spots in years, it's vast and beautiful. Looking forward to seeing more videos, keep em coming! 👍
Thanks :) rule no.1 never forget the beer.. haha. and it was a v good steak. I'm looking forward to exploring it further. thanks again ATB
That place is awesome! 🤩🤩 like bilbo baggins land.
haha, it is indeed :p thanks for watching
I watched you a good while ago. Now I’m watching again seeing the videos from the meanwhile.
You’re good company man thanks for the videos :) 👍🏻
Great video mate I wish the weather was better for you. That is so unfortunate to have that weather for this time of the year but that's Dartmoor for you. hope to meet up soon and thanks for the shout out.👍
Hey, thanks again for all the info.. so helpful. I didn't mind the weather really.. was a good experience and makes for some nice photos. We'll arrange something at some point :)

The weather was a bonus, if you ask me :-)

I've been visiting the moors most of my life but have never camped there. Never camped anywhere really. I should probably see about changing that.

Andy what a couple days, you are very brave. thanks for the tag I cant remember the questions but ill have a go. We are up at Edale Meet from Thurs 25th May to Mon 29th if your up for it, where you meet loads of the UA-cam and Bushcrafting community. Great Video Mate - hope to see you on 25th May. Dave
Hi Dave. Not sure if ill make Edale yet but I do now have Church Farm booked. Thanks, look forward to seeing your answers, ATB mate
Thanks for this nice video. I always thought it would be tough to find firewood in the UK due to the heavy use, population density, deforestation, and so on. I am always surprised when anyone finds ample firewood in a video made in the UK.
Anyway, looks like you had a great time in some unexpected conditions.
Again, thanks.☺
The foreign environment is nice and there are wild animals
Thank you for watching :)
I never saw you with long hair I thought it was someone else lol your videos are awesome
Awesome place
indeed, can't wait to get back :) Thanks for watching
That's an awesome little stone bridge at 23;50
Very Good Place For Camping
Oh, I see your weather is as unpredictable as it is here in Indiana , They always say if you don't like the weather just wait a few minutes and it will change , LoL .....Nice Video
haha, thats a pretty good saying, It was an extra strange couple of days too. Thank you for watching! ATB
Wow I love horses and cattle
Back to when Andy had hair😂💪🏴🏴 great video this was.
🤣
If you ever come to Ontario Canada , I'd like to show you an outstanding camp.
A-ha! The elusive Dartmoor pony @ 6:39
Best + safest way to camp in the cold is in pairs!! Nothing beats body heat. Nothing! 😉
the sheep nearby did look inviting lol
Kent Survival
Oh Noooo.....you didn't go there!! 😱 Lol 🙄 Yikes
