The bracing I have on my z is soul function front and rear lateral braces, rear tie bar, and 4 point mid brace, ultra racing 8 point front brace and w brace replacement, Bell Raceworks Diff Brace.
The soul function braces provided flatter cornering and a notable but not a huge difference in handling and also some exhaust protection.
I daily my 07 z I also have kw coil overs and white line front and rear sway bars and a graffiti Motorsports k harness bar. Along with poly trans and diff bushings The car is stiff but even in daily use it is still bearable.
That's awesome, thanks for sharing!
How did you get the Diff brace to fit with the rear tie bar? The rear tie bar looks like it would be in the way of the diff brace.
@@Propheciez Bell Racing now makes a low profile version to clear a rear tie brace
Chris Jones yes Anthony is correct, I also requested the low profile brace to work with my z1 high capacity diff cover, they did that for no extra charge and all their parts fit flawlessly and are high quality
What difference did the ultra racing 8 point front brace make?? IM currently lookin into one.
your videos are the best dude i’ve slowly been building my G35 back to OEM+ thanks to your videos 🙏🏾 keep going dude
That's so awesome to hear! If you want some stickers email your mailing address to info@gofasthavefun.ca
Your chassis is immaculate. I am jealous 🤩
Thank you!
Car looks really good!
Thanks!
Still by far the cleanest white 350 AJ. The bracing seems more flushed with the other components. If your setup was low then possibly the bars might catch road debris. Looks imaculate as ever
Thank you!
Very nice video 👍 don’t know if I will need that much support under the car but definitely good advice. In the market for a Z but it will be more of a fun driver not racing/ drifting.
Thanks for watching!
You should get the Bell raceworks diff brace, that makes an improvement.
That is actually on the list!
I wasn't sure what to think if you painting over their signature teal lol, but if you're looking for more stiffness, you should look into a rear diff mount.
To be fair it gets covered by the belly pan anyways and you can't see it. Will that diff mount take away from the cushioning affect for drivetrain shock? I currently run urethane bushings for the differential.
Yes, it really makes the entire back end solid. Z1 has a video showing the subframe movement with / without the brace. It makes a huge difference.
@@jellofuel for anyone reading the diff brace doesn’t help much with stiffening rear end. The vid he’s talking about is showing the difference between poly diff bushing and stock subframe bushings vs poly diff bushing with z1 subframe collars
Hello. Is that some kind of heat shielding on the middle/H-brace? I am thinking of installing a the Z1 undershroud on my 350z. Do you think the Megan front lower bar will clear the Z1 undershroud or stock undershroud? I can't get a clear look from the video. Thanks.
I put some sound deadening on it with built in shielding to help with resonance.
Hi , (might be a dumb question) On the rear center tie brace did you have to jack the suspension? Asking bc I have a shop that has a bay and I can easily bolt it on , If so what is the procedure ? also is alignment required after the install ? Thank you , Love your z videos !!!
Yes, whenever I work on suspension I unload the suspension and raise the vehicle. Also gives more room to work on the vehicle. The rear tie brace I just re-torqued to factory spec.
AnthonyJ350 awesome , thank you !!
Frankie Morales He did not answer your question, but yes you will need to line it up after.
Just bought an HR. Really want to put lowering springs, f/r sways, mid point chassis brace with poly diff/trans bushings, CAI, pipes & 4.08 vlsd.
Or same as above except coilovers but no bracing + sways. Which one guys??
I would do the first option.
Will a 05 coupe manual g35 rear subframe fit a 06 coupe manual g35? What rear subframes are compatible for a 06 g35 coupe 6MT
Don't know, you'll have to compare part numbers at the dealership.
Hey brother could you help me out so i thought my passenger window was broken like the switch so i put my key in the door and turned it which rolled down the window any later on i found out i had the child window lock on. Do you think it damaged mg window motor at all or anything else ?
You can try doing a reset procedure.
Are you able to have a diff brace installed and the tie brace ?
Yup, I show the install in this video ua-cam.com/video/Jig_OJjn2kI/v-deo.html
Was the rear meant racing tie bar hard to install if what do I need to take off both wheels rear wheels or what?
Nope, just remove the nuts, install and retorque to manufacture specification.
@@AnthonyJ350 thank you I feel like it gives the car a slightly improvement on aggressive looks in the rear!
@@_Zoctane You'll want the differential brace as well. ua-cam.com/video/Jig_OJjn2kI/v-deo.html
Can make a install video for it ?
I'll try to if I work on a different car.
How much weight are you adding to the car, with all of the bracing?
I want to say around 10 pounds for the items shown. They're all made out of aluminum and are very light.
Nice.
Bro what Y pipe is that? Its resonated right?
Motordyne XYZ pipe. I run a high flow cat on it. You can interchange with a resonator or straight pipe too
Did you have to take off the old brace to install the Megan h brace.
The W brace is what you're referring to?
@@AnthonyJ350 yes
@@_Zoctane You can leave the original one in the whole time.
Does that tie and that H brace fits on a g35?
It most likely will, I know the cars are a little different in length. Best thing to do is go on the manufacturer's web site or e-mail them directly. Just to make sure.
Does that fit on the g35 coupe?
I'm pretty sure it would. As far as I know, the G35 is practically identical to the 350Z underneath as far as dimensions. Just the wheelbase and the driveshaft are different.
Hey man what do I do if my differential is leaking?
Is fluid leaking from the bushing in the sub frame?
AnthonyJ350 I don’t know it was just dirty with oil but I’m not sure if it leaking
@@car_venom2265 The bushing is most likely torn and leaking hydraulic fluid. I would bring it to a shop familiar with these vehicles.
AnthonyJ350 man i have another question why my car leaks water inside when it’s raining the trunk was full of water 💧 and the stick too
@@car_venom2265 Check the seals around the trunk lid and behind the tail lights.
I'm trying to install the megan and it nearly impossible to remove the bolt how did you install it as the video didn't show what happened?
Did you secure the front wheels and lift the rear of the vehicle and support it on jack stands safely to do the job?
Which part are you doing? The rear tie brace?
@@AnthonyJ350 I'm trying to install the front lower brace
@@zamigoduh8384 Did you jack up the front end and support it on jack stands? You might need to hit the bolts with a drift and turn them out with a wrench so you don't damage the threads.
@@AnthonyJ350 Supposed to jack both side up? I only jack up one side and tried bolt loosed, but like the nut came off just not the bolt itself seems to be stuck or something? Did you have fitment problem with the undertray?
350 zed ✔️
350 zee ❌
HAha, thank you!
Anyone else get a clunk noise going from 1st to second?😞
Could be a synchro. Try using Redline manual transmission fluid for Nissan in the vehicle.
So from what I see, Soul Racing and Megan racing and even some others are all made at the same plant and are just rebadges.. crazy.
Yes and no. I had a Megan Racing unit on the front but didn't clear the aftermarket oil pan that well. The Soul Function unit goes a little deeper clearing it.
You seem preoccupied to the point of "Worry" over the fragile oul pan.
There is a giy that makes skid plates fir and car. You should google him up some peice of mind...
Its like skid plate joe or joey skid plate......he has skid plate in hus name...
I'll check it out, thanks
@@AnthonyJ350 "skid plate guy"....on face book
@@MindDezign Thanks! I'll check it out!
Over thinking!
Some people say that. I just don't think others are trying hard enough.
you're spending a lot of time defending the purchase of useless chassis bar LOL.
You're spending a lot of time watching a video about something where you already know everything LOL
@@AnthonyJ350 umm. lol. no. when I'm considering options I do my research and learned pretty quickly that the Z does not need structural reinforcement and so I came across your video and you spend an awful lot of time saying I don't really need this but I want to protect my oil pan!
@@Aeneas137 Might not need it. But I wanted it, like any mod people put on. You must know all this as well! ua-cam.com/video/nNfUtKG-I-w/v-deo.html
@@Aeneas137 But aren't you glad I'm trying it on the car so you don't have to?
@@AnthonyJ350 you just adding weight to the car those bars actually hurt performance if anything
