Made these last night. So good, I am making them again tonight. Got a nice sweet potato harvest this growing season so I will be making this recipe a lot.
How exciting! Is it hard growing sweet potato? I had a garden a couple of years ago. Definitely a lot of work but oh the joy in seeing everything grow is awesome. Thank you for giving this recipe a try. So glad you enjoyed it.
PROTIP - mix spices and olive oil in bag (I prefer a washable bowl) prior to putting the yams in for a more evenly coated and well mixed marinade. (works with meat or veggies.)
Hello, I have been trying so many different sweet potato recipes lately. But I really wanna try your recipe. I don't yet have an air fryer but I will be buying one very soon. I was just wondering do these sweet potatoes come out of the air fryer crispy? And also how big is your air fryer? How many litres? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just very intrigued. Thank you very much xx
Hello and welcome! Yes, these sweet potatoes come out with a light crisp and are really good. I made these when I had my Emerald air fryer. It has a 5.2L basket. I’ll post links below. I now use a Cosori dual blaze air fryer (6.8qt) but haven’t made them in this one, yet. Although, I’m sure they’ll be just as amazing. My new Cosori Emerald: amzn.to/463XuiM Cosori: amzn.to/464qbMu
@@RoseOatley Aww thank you for replying to me so quick! I really appreciate it. I've seen the air fryer I'm going to buy. It's a 5.7L one so I think I'll be able to fit the same amount of sweet potato you cooked 😃 I'm from the U.K so I'm buying it from Argos. It's a fantastic deal at £45.00 I'm really looking forward to trying sweet potatoes in a way I haven't yet tried. Thank you for sharing your recipe online. Enjoy the rest of your week darling 💖💖💖 xx
Don’t ever put any food source into a microwave. It actually destroys the molecular structure in breaks down the food. Just take the extra time to do it quickly with the heating method.
I'm sure that works if you don't mind killing all the nutrients in your food. I nuke my food as rarely as possible, I would love for that radiation box to be gone permanently from my kitchen. Bummer it would leave a gaping hole in its spot
Everyone needs a rubber mallet in their kitchen. Long knife (like a long slicing knife) and a rubber mallet makes cutting things like squash and hard sweet potatoes in half safe and it's a breeze to do. You just center the knife and pound on the tip of the knife. I got my mallet at the hardware store.
@@RoseOatley Good to know! I have mine cubed and in water in the fridge for Easter dinner tomorrow. Will dry before following your recipe. Thenk you and happy Easter!
Amazing video, Rose. I just put them in the airfryer, will have them ready soon, but judging by all the other comments, it will be great. Also, I loved the ziplock idea! I dont cook a lot, so I never thought about it :)
Hi Linda! If you watch my video, I tell you the temp and time I use. If you are referring to your own personal air fryer, I would look at your air fryer manual. You’re air fryer should have came with one. If it didn’t, I would recommend you call the manufacturer and request one. You can also trying looking up your model online and see if there’s one available to print or save.
@@RoseOatley I tweaked the recipe and they came out delicious. Just wondering though, wouldn't it have taken less time to simply answer my questions than it took to type such a SHADY response???
@@lindabrown8488 - You said it looked good but where were my instructions and temperature. They are clearly in my video so I was surprised that you asked and I simply answered your question. Then I wasn’t sure if you meant the list of heating temps for different foods because each air fryer brand does vary and usually comes with their suggested temps for different foods. I thought I was being extra helpful with my added info. Definitely not shady. Just answering your question. I’m glad you enjoyed them!
@@lindabrown8488 Jesus you need to calm down Linda. She is trying to be helpful. I hope you've finally found your air fryer instructions 11 months later
Hi there. You should consider using a bowl instead of a plastic bag to combine ingredients in the pursuit of reducing single use plastic consumption. Quite wasteful!
Why do people always ruin food by over adding different herbs and spices. They dont need all this muck. Just do sweet potatoes pure and simple. They are nice enough without all this other stuff.
Have you ever thought why people Ruin things by not putting enough? It’s all about what people enjoy and love. You don’t have to put as much as some of us but please don’t say we ruin it just because YOU may not like it that way.
I also have the perfect steak bites to go with these. Be sure to check out the recipe after: ua-cam.com/video/F5w0vEhgCj8/v-deo.html

put em in the microwave for 2 min.....they will be easier to cut!
Thanks for the tip!
Do you still have to cling wrap them when you do that for 2 min, or no?

That bag can be reused too!
Did you use "roast" or "air fry" mode?
Hello Alexarae! Mine doesn’t have different options but I would stick to Air Fry. Thanks for watching!
I will cook sweet potato later today, and I will let you know.
Awesome! Please do and enjoy! 😊
Can I reuse the plastic bag?
Otherwise it seems a waste and will pollute.
You can use a bowl.
👍👍👍👍👍😋
Our ninja duo doesn’t go up to 400 degrees ….only to 220c
Terry, it’s 400° in Fahrenheit which is equivalent to 200° in Celsius. You should be good at 200°C. Thanks for watching!
Cut in 1/2 then in 1/2 so u don’t have an accident these potatoes are very hard
It definitely takes some muscle to cut into them.
WTH ! ..
Potato 🥔 hit me in my 👁️ eye 👀😂

LOL Oops! You should have dodged! 😂

Why to waste the bag

Way to much olive oil,one teaspoon is plenty.

Don't peel them!
If you prefer not to peel them, you’re free to do that as well. It’s each individual’s personal choice.
