- Marty's Evo spun up a promising 270kw on the dyno, but it's not running reliably. In this 1hr+ episode done full 'disrespected nose' style we upgrade a bunch of parts to get it back in the game ready to munch any competitive Golf R's!

This is literally one of your best videos ever and I don’t even like Evos. Just two mates talking absolute rubbish but you still showing what you doing and kinda explaining how to do it. It’s just excellent. Do more of this on the mini and Mira too.

Never lose a bolt, nut or tool again.
One on the underside of bonnet for easy access sockets and a few in the bay to hold important bits as you disassemble.

It was quite a few years ago, you will notice they started doing vids from martins dads driveway I think it was, they had people just turn up to his mums house and sit on the front lawn and start filming them making episodes. Some people have no idea about personal space and privacy, they were lucky marty and moog aren't violent or they would have copped a flogging.
@@braco222 In the beginning of their You-Tube Career they filmed from Martins ( Mom's? ) driveway. the videos all closely resembled the style of back and forth humor they exhibited in this video. It was more like two mates cutting each other up and just having fun with a spanner, while being goofy spanners.

I just thought of a conspiracy.
According to MightyCarMods Canon, at the end of the S2000 build, Moog woke up, and realised the whole series had been a dream, and he had never actually owned an S2000. Marty was also shocked when Moog explained that he thought he had an mx5, even going as far to spell out "I definitely do not own an mx5". Interestingly, during the time in which Marty *supposedly* owned the mx5, the blue turd was crushed. Or was it?
If Marty never owned the mx5, then that likely means that none of the events from that time happened, meaning that Marty, in fact, STILL OWNS the blue turd, and is simply hiding it from us, to get more disrespected nose views!

I like that Marty has a hoist but they're still using the MCM workshop to change the exhaust.
I assume, due to the limited time that they have to film and the central location of their workshop to other industry, it’s probably easier to do it at their shop, where all the tools are and they are central in the industrial area.
Tools are all there, good lights, can make noise any time of the day or night. Hoist is handy for some things but actually gets in the way a bit for other jobs.

3:46 I think what you mean is flange
Flange: A flange is a method of connecting pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. It also provides easy access for cleaning, inspection or modification. Flanges are usually welded or screwed. Flanged joints are made by bolting together two flanges with a gasket between them to provide a seal.

I learned my BOV needed a vacuum reference while watching this (noticed the hose from the GFB BOV). But now instead of sounding like Marty going “boo boo boo boo boo!” (going off throttle) my car sounds like Marty going “pfssssst!” I love you guys. I just finished resurrecting and turbo charging an mx5. My first car project and I have a bunch of Aussies (plus a fabricator in the states) to thank.

It's cool you guys finally got an Evo 9 in the work shop. I've seen them on the streets. And knew a friend or two that had one back in the day. but it's neat to see under the hood. And see all the bits in detail. Cheers.

This is by far, the best MCM content I have ever watched. Most videos like this have a 20 minutes dubstep intro, followed by 1 minute of 5x speed "how to" filmed on a potato. More videos like this please. It was fantastic.

We've been watching you have fun with your jdm cars and parts and your affordable american (and australian) engines for years. I'm really curious to see in what way euro car design differs from that of the cars that you normally have on your show, and I suspect any car lover would be too, even if euro cars aren't their "cup of tea".

I really like that you guys don't have a lift yet. Or have chosen not to go with one in the shop. Puns aside it keeps you guys grounded. Everyone gets a few sponsors and subs, fires up a lift and starts leaving their audience in the dust. Everything you guys do, everyone watching can do and that's important. I have been watching since you guys peed on the rust to get a nice patina going and I can honestly say that while the location has improved and the faces have aged; you guys have NOT lost that special magic that makes mighty car mods the every-persons car show... Looking forward to that pod filters video.
