Pretty awesome message in this episode, as I just recently managed to save a car I sold off and that got heavily abused. Been kinda in the dumps about it, but you've renewed my passion to bring it back to it's former glory(and maybe a little better). I know no one cares, but wanted to share that anyway. Pretty awesome indeed.
I'll see it down at U-Pull-It in a cuppla years then. Cars get to the point of no return investment-wise sink the koin into another of a multitude of cars out there ticking the boxes I say. I've had cars sitting around for way too long thanks to similar ideas.

I just completely rewired/upgraded my s2000 fuel pump to supply my turbo setup so I understand how difficult fuel pumps can be. So glad you finally got your super turbo on the road! Also I just ordered some chopped stickers for me, my friend and my brother. We will all show the chopped sticker is no joke!!!
Buying and driving the car is one thing. But oh boy having a story to tell from the time you bought it to the time you can actually drive it makes it a lifetime experience to remember.

This put a big smile on my face, even though I live in Chile, which is so far away, I feel like Marty and Moog have been friends with me for many years, and I feel happy for them, when they achieve milestones like this one. I've come to understand and share their true love for cars, specially nuggets, as it is not how much power or speed can a car get, but rather how it makes you feel when driving it, and the memories of happiness while doing so.
Thank you guys, for taking us all along for the ride!

i think it's the incredible storytelling that they do around the cars they love. they do such a great job presenting the car, the passion of working on the car, fun with their mates around the car, and the actual travel with the car. they show that a car can be more than a tool for transport. car people get that, they understand that.
This car is exactly why I love MCM. It shows that anyone can have a great time in any car on any budget.
I love how the guy from haltech sees and deals with all kinds of crazy fast and amazing cars and can be so curious and excited about such a nugget of a car.
Brother, I don't mean to sound like a douche, but even if you're used to 1000 whp crazy V8s, RBs, and 2JZs, if you've never dyno'd a twin-charged 4 cylinder, to true car guys different builds can excite us easily. I understand what you're trying to say, but real car guys love the diversity.
Honestly, I've never seen a twin-charged anything in person, so I'd be interested...and I'm 37 and I've owned 64 cars since I was 14 years old.

Reccallo TimTom this was exactly my point man. You can see the wheels turning on how to take the little technology they had to make it work in the 90s and bring it up to date and make it even better. It’s a new challenge working on something so weird and forge a new path that probably no one has ever attempted before

Lol agreed! Probably vacuum and pressure hoses though, an electrical schematic probably wouldn't have all the details for bolts/screws, routing, tie-downs, etc

Stoked to see it all legal. Can’t wait to see it in person on the road. I totally understand that it had to go situation. But it just makes me treasure the times spent in KE20 corolla, loud lumpy sigma my MGB and beloved 80 series landcruiser that all had to go. Seeing you on the Figtree bridge reminds me of all the happy times behind the wheel of those cars cruising up to the Northern Beaches and backfor a burger. Would happily have an example of each rather than a new Car. Congratulations
This is a good tip about the fuel pump. Never had this issue but when I have I'll remember the sound of it at least.

Marty, I quite like what you succinctly identified there about cars not necessarily being about having the fastest or wildest mods, but rather how they make you feel and the experiences that got you there - especially those shared with mates. When I was on my P's, I bought an extremely crappy 1974 Toyota corona with a case of VB. It had 6 months rego (and was scrapped after that) and that 6 months of my life was fantastic. Many fond memories of things like driving on the beach at Boat Harbour with 17 mates piled into/onto the thing.

It's been nearly 10 years in the making for me, but I finally did it. Got that full blown clout now
So cool and congrats, ps love the framed and signed art work of the super turbo I framed it and it hangs on the wall in my room, was so excited too see how happy you both are with it, it’s such a cool car, just got my first Nissan and it’s a s13 coupe factory sr20 and factory two tone am in the stage of restoring it and saved it from being crushed at a wrecking yard was on top of 3 cars (is 99% complete ) will be a great daily/weekend car and definitely was influenced to buy it from over all these years watching you guys fixing saving and enjoying Nissan’s and silvias especially, am proud and happy to finally say I own one thanks guys for everything and can’t wait to see you both again at a meet!

I have an 86 CIS-E Scirocco I am rebuilding, and the vacuum issues with it are a real pain. I can only imagine what it’s like with this beast. Watching you guys tune this thing is awesome and inspiring!
