@@TheDarthSoldier thanks i have seen it already
Step 1: sell the Golf and buy an Audi RS3 5 cylinder cause they sound cooler....
Only kidding, I’m just salty because a golf r chopped my Ducati hard all the way up to 140mph.
LOL
Step 2: Learn to ride ;)
You're not wrong though, the Audi sounds maaad
a 125 vespa with a ducati sticker on it is still not a ducati.
Gandalf m8 An st3 with about 45000 miles on it. It wouldn’t of stung so much getting chopped by a golf if it was a 125 lol. Came off a roundabout together onto a dual carriageway so it was about a 30mph rolling start and then we both gunned it, we were both levelish until 130 then he started pulling on me.
I just wanted to say thank you guys for the videos you guys produce! Since I watched your video on the first GTI in 2009 I have always wanted a GTI. Then I saw this video and then I knew I had to get a Golf R or Golf GTI and I did I started my rebuild on an MK6 GTI Wolfsburg edition. Thanks for all the year of inspiration.
Those brakes are HUGE! Excited for what is to come!
Lambo Aventador had 356mm brake rotors. 380+ is just silly.
3:38 When this tune comes on you know things are getting serious
The "secret Golf handshake" the cringiest thing I've seen all day.
At least put on the gloves before you do it!
It's as bad as a golf
I thought the dude was missing fingers or something until i saw his hand later on... puke
No glove no love
Almost as cringe as the whiffer at around the 8:00
@mightycarmods how much did the entire project cost? Could you do a breakdown?
Thanks
Just adding up the retail cost from the REVO website is over 11k in parts. All the prices are listed there if your curiosity is deep enough to click through the site.
@@Jacedives I don't know what currency you are using, but I would tend to agree. I was thinking $45k USD all said if you assume a $120hr shop rate, about 48 man-hours of labor, and that the original car was around $25k.
Jason Harris I agree completely. We are saying almost identical numbers in our own respective units. 45k USD is about 63k AUD.
Haha these comments. MCM would have not paid what you guys are quoting.
@@agga3955 haha. they're getting paid to advertise the parts and the shop. Funny how they're going out of their way to pretend like it's all legit.
OMG I’m such a fat fan I’m so happy to see u guys building VW YES!!!!
lmao youre fat
@Amir Zamoum im a fatter fan lol
Fat fan?
Weird flex but ok
Sameee
Amir Zamoum they've built like tonnes of VWs but most of them have been shit
*Well there goes my sleep.* Hi there new MCM Video :3
It's 4 in the afternoon... cst
It's only 25 minutes don't shit yourself
I feel your pain man. I might get 4hrs of sleep if I'm lucky, but MCM takes priority
@@Whiskeyactual9531 same sleeping is wasting time 2 hours and a lot of coffee and you are fine :)
Sleep is overrated.😜
The intro put everything into perspective. I remember the day the original golf video came out. I can’t believe I’ve been watching you guys for ten years now.
Cannot wait for the next video! That golf R is gonna be as mad as the golf R handshake 🤣🤣🤣
Fuarrrrrk has 10 years gone by already? Remember watching you guys back in high school. I haven't moved an inch in life since then...
lol well get to it already
My favourite UA-camrs meet my favourite Tuner. What an epic video - can't wait for the next one!
JB CTR hey Johnny. Love your videos and I adore your Fiesta ST. Great seeing you here

3:50 Marty, were you celebrating 4/20?
😂
I have been watching y'all build Japanese cars in anticipation for this day.
I am a VW freak.
Right there with ya
I love this, imagine pulling up to a red light in the golf, and a guy in a Holden Commodore pulls up next to you, reving his engine, lights turn green and the guy in the holden is gobsmacked how fast the golf takes off. haha
So excited about this build!!! Love watching these sleepers chop!
The German equivalent to bon voyage is Gute Reise
Just that you know :)
u still say bon voyage :D
@@benniturkov5489 not all do say that but you are right
"Auf wiedersehen!" is more appropriate for this occasion.
Such a long way from the eBay days on the driveway , great video guys👍
Amazing to see how far MCM has come over the years! Keep making these wicked vids :)
So pumped for this build! Love my VW's . Check engine light an all!

12:42 “gute reise” great video guys! Love from the Netherlands
Love from Rotterdam
Was really hoping this was gonna be a Toyota Yaris... 😂😂
Videos been up for 2 mins and people are already commenting how it's the best video ever 🤦🏻♂️
DEATHSTROKE because only quality comes out of MCM and you don't need to watch it to know it's going to be epic.
Best comment ever!
"You are not pretty and you probably will chop it"
Few words to destroy a man
Stoked for this build guys! I’m a closet VW guy and am digging where this R is going!
So... What's going on with that IS38 you took off? Hook a brother up. My mk7 GTI wants more air!
Dibs. But if no dibs allowed, you lot should do a give away. But dibs nonetheless.
I love the hate in these comment sections. Pretty sad that some cant just enjoy the video and not criticize. Too much negativity in the car scene :(
Makes them wear gloves, but no safety glasses in sight.
yes..but he still didn't wear the gloves!
All about saving the euro hand shake
Having watched you guys for 12 years. I am finally re visiting one of your series for myself. I have purchased a 7.5 GTE as my second car this week and hope to do some of the things you did on this R.
From 10 years ago, your video production skills have also skyrocketed. hahhaha...excellent work.
Budget street cred golf is still the best golf you have built
I'd have to agree. Probably one of my favorite builds. The wide steelies are a real treat.
You mean bought, and built by other people.

what the hell are you talking about?
@@MyMIXmedia No, he doesnt mean that.
MyMIXmedia haha you got shut down nicely.
Back then I thought the manuals were still faster unless you used launch control in the gti and r.
Now they are 7 speed and much later generation while the manual has not changed in like 20 years
Can't get over how high y'all working on the car installing parts, great build love the content

I think the handshake is mixed up with people PLAYING Golf instead of Driving one. xD
You should make a Eurotrip. The Worthersee Treffen would be the perfect opurtunity.
I just finished watching your BRZ modding video and was thinking about how you can mod a golf since it’s the car I want to get. I search for golf mods and click on the first video. I was pleasantly surprised to see you guys again lol!
3:55 can already see the tears in marty's eyes over losing to a golf
Yeah and this time he's getting really spanked!
Im sure if he threw thirty grand at it it would go well too.
I bet the evolution VIII fq400 is faster than this golf will ever be, both on road and off road 😂😂
