Epic, real old school type MCM video.....mad nuggets and crazy projects are cool to see, but the reason I started watching MCM was to learn how to work on my car
Admittedly my first mcm video in a long time 😅 still will always be one of my most favorite car channels the borrowing cars through the outback series is the best thing on youtube
Best tip ever, when waiting to turn in front of oncoming traffic to turn into an intersection or driveway ect, always keep the wheels pointing straight until you actually make the move. This life saving tip should really be taught at school. My hat off to you guys for including this information.
This is such a great video, but even better if you have been following Marty and Moog for the last 11 years. This just puts such a smile on my face. Such a great recap of such a long journey. Guys, please never change. You two inspire and help build so much. You guys are the greatest of all time!!!!

Want more power? Buy a lambo, then put nitrous in it and get a degree in electrical engineering so you can tune it for that extra 5 hp. Then adjust your sitting position
I actually learn a pretty good amount from these guys over the years. I really want to learn how to work on cars without having to rely on a another person to show and do everything, my goal is to be able to work on a car and to be able to do most things on a car that doesnt require 2 people

@@Ronnaferd Well, at least if your headlights are on the bluish side, otherwise it's kind of a matter of taste. Another tip to expand on the windshield tip at 15:00 Use a clay bar or a clay towel/mitt to clean your windshield. This removes contaminants that are hard to see, but it makes your windshield more hydrophobic which means safer driver in the rain! Just did this to a buddies car and he was surprised by how much of a difference it made.
Hey guys I love this video it’s much needed! I just wanted to say that brake cleaner can break down the coating on your concrete floor. So the next time you spill oil it will seep into the concrete itself instead of staying on top of the coating. Much love from USA.
Another tip, fuel filler is always opposite to the exhaust. Don't ask about twin exhausts though 😂, just pop the door as you get to the fuel station so you can see it in the mirrors, or remember from the last time ;)
I guess there was just never any big fanfare when they started doing it. I think the first time I saw one I just thought it was redundantly saying "Fuel Gauge Here," then kinda realized on a car where it was pointing *away* from the fuel gauge what it was for. :) Some rental, I think. :)
Thank you for mentioning to hold the wheel at 9 & 3! As an accredited driving instructor I'm sick of still hearing 10 & 2 from every man and their dog!
@@mateuszzimon8216 sorry wrong, 10 and 2 is outdated and the reason for those that don't know is Airbags, if your airbag is deployed while you are holding a wheel at 9 and 3 your hands will just get pushed off the wheel if you are holding your wheel at 10 and 2 it will snap both of your thumbs.
6:00 Don't do this unless you want to break bolts and have to drill them out. Spray some WD-40 on the bolt, wait a minute and then try again. You can also use a hammer to hammer carefully on your spanner and get the nut loose.
Lol, I had a Subaru Forester for 4 years and never had any issues with it using oil..had to top it up a little maybe every 5-6 weeks depending on how many K's I did. and another good tip for oil spills, though you need to leave it overnight at least for best results, is get a bag of your normal cement powder, sprinkle it over the spill and it soak it up and help prevent any stains. 3:46 Talking about hooks for your thumbs. Right after you talked about not stretching your legs because they might skewer you. You might not be pinned to your chair in an accident, but you will have a *broken thumb* which could've been avoided.
For the fire extinguishers installation hack, there's one thing wasn't mentioned. Normally fitted on the passenger side front, make sure u check if the anything under the passenger side front because you normally need to drill straight through the floor and depending on what car, fuel lines or wiring could be right under the area u want to drill so make sure nothing is under the area u you drilling.

3:46 Talking about hooks for your thumbs.
Right after you talked about not stretching your legs because they might skewer you.
You might not be pinned to your chair in an accident, but you will have a *broken thumb* which could've been avoided.

You guys should do a series on how to drive, like reverse, parallel parking, right way to overtake, roundabouts and all that. The other videos on UA-cam are bad.
The part about not locking your legs is very very good advice👏
