The first I saw breakdance was in 1984 in the streets of New Jersey, all of them were Latinos and they were all so agile and did it so great, made me want to learn and it got me so obsessed with breakdance.
Eye on L.A. part 2 1983 my friends in video!!! L.A.Breakers "Tiny" "Fresh" n "Freeze"n my dude "Bro. Clint" rappin freestylin "Handy man", Heckll Jeckll!!!! In i loved the video "Dont wait to long" dope Shrimp, Taco, Dr.Cosmo, Bugzbunny etc....
I’m looking at this video of breakdancing. In the late 70’s and throughout the 80’s I was a teenager in NYC, living between Chelsea & Hells Kitchen. I was dating a 15 year old kid who was a breakdancer in the Rocksteady Crew. From The DJ to the Rappers and the Breakdancers It was something that was really good. The Mainstream music industry, have corrupted young society in a very bad way. The music industry pushed Gangsta rap for a reason. Private Prisons were going to bring in LOTS OF MONEY. More Black&spanish kids are in prison. It’s all done by design
The program that blow my mind I wanted to break dance after watching this program. And didn't know the movie these cats was auditioning for was for the movie Breakin. Which change my life. But after I saw this in episode back in 1983 Then I tried a back spin and hit my head on the Table It was harder then it looked lol
my father was a good dancer too here in brazil in 80 and 90 decade recentlly he recorded one video from you tube just add. ( frentista 45 anos arrasando no break) now he is granfhather and have 3 granchild but love dance yet im bruna from brazil kiss kiss kiss kiss for you
0:12 That was "Turbo" I saw him get turned out in San Jose in 1984. It was after "Breaking" came out and he thought he was the show, but there were A LOT of dancers out there better than him. I have no idea why him and Boogaloo (whatever his name was) got a spot in "Breaking." I guess they just looked right for the part... There was this kid who used to break dance for The Gap Band who was the best I ever saw. Anthony something... He was the first to do the "stop-start" spinning on his head and could 'glide" better than anyone. (Including Turbo)
