Jay - as good as the Stromtank sounds (and Stereophile's JSV did a great review of it) your presentation bettered it. You gave us a clear outline of what one can expect to "hear" with it; you explained how it functions in a system. And your experience and reputation stand behind it. Congrats! (I'll take two...)

Jay always gives you a loot of “meat on the 🦴 🍖 bones” when it comes to this. That’s why he’s videos are interesting regardless if you are interested in buying the product or not. A lot of the so called reviews have so vague references so you don’t really now (or do they ) what they are talking about. Keep it up 👍 Jay.

    Axpona, a few shows ago, I got to experience Stromtank supporting the front end of a monstrous rig being demo'ed;
Wilson Alexx, Wilson's big subs, D'Agostino Relentless amps and Momentum pres, Clearaudio vinyl playback, dCS digital... all in a big first floor room by dealer Paragon, if I'm not mistaken.
My 18yr old non-audiophile son in the money seat... after a mere couple minutes, he had unexpected tears of joy from the powerful experience.
Hell yeah, I'll never forget it.
That said, his best of show experience was upstairs in the Scaena line arrays, ... sublime result achieved in that space.
He'd never paid attention to Brubeck's Time Out... til experiencing the piece through the wonderful Scaena lines in that room (a single front center listening position).
I recall absolute first rate three dimensionality in that modest Scaena room.

Check out Amir's audio science channel he Annalise is a P12 p.s. audio so-called regenerator and essentially they actually drop voltage to the components and make no DC difference whatsoever. So in my opinion these regenerators are pure snake oil, I've had a P20 in my system it lasted a week and then I sold it again it made no audible difference in my system at all. Luckily I bought it cheap and didn't lose any money.

I think is very good , it's a pure power regenerator . I use from a wile Eaton 9SX 5000i RT3U in separated power circuit for Audio only , have fans , make noise , but is in another room . After this power regenerator ( with power correction ) , i use Audioquest Niagara 5000 . I use and power Amp in ! Difference is incredible , i make a lot of tests in time and with power Amp in Niagara sound better than wall , of course now all is in Eaton , i have 2 hours thru battery only with Gryphon Antileon in . Eaton have 4500W power . This is another way to seald power circuit .

Strange that there is no performance data on the out put side. On how clean the power is not on s1000 home page of the manufacturer, nothing in the data pdf or the manual. No graph or measurements.
Only efficiency and how much delivery it can deliver.
No parameter in the data sheet, that it cleans X % om the output compared to what comes in on the input.
It is like selling a power amplifier with just saying power consumption and output power but no word on if the power number is at 0.1% or 10% distortion, that is a huge difference.
The product data sheet has some room for improvement.

Bluetti make a pure sine wave inverter with built in Lithium battery including ac recharge ability in two models the EB 150 and 250 models with 4 three prong receptacles .
I’m sure you are aware over the decades there have been a number of high end manufacturers introduced battery powered phono stages , preamplifiers including some amplifiers ultimately getting reviews and complaints of little to no dynamics .
I think all I can do is try the Bluettii model or similar and see . My dac and server both have power consumption of about 30 watts each so it would be great to have 5-6 continuous hours of playback between charging .,..***Jay I apologize once again for using your platform for this discussion.

I realized, for big amps and subs, conditioners limits the power instead of helping, and to tell you the truth, One of the engineers at shunyata told me it works but better not to use any. I respect his honesty for not talking like a sales person. I sold my niagara 7000 because of buzzing and making my subs to hum. They all blamed ground loop, but my brother is an electrical engineer he helped me to find it and it was the niagara. Now all my small components and processor connected to small power conditioner and the rest, to four dedicated 20amp outlets. I put a massive surge protector on my main panel for the whole house for protection. But I'm so curious about stromtank.

It is not a good idea for a Stromtank dealer to call it persistently a "Power Conditioner" because it isn´t. Stromtank is a Power Regenerator! That is technically a complete other world.
There are not so many Power Regenerators out there on the market, the best known are propably the PS Audio Power Plants. But there are also devices from Accuphase or IsoTek.
You are right that the Stromtank is unique in using batteries, so it takes the game quite a step forward, but basicly it is still a Power Regenerator.
While a Power Conditioner is using filters to eliminate noise from the electricity, a Regenerator is only using the energy from the wall socket and builds up the sine wave of the power from scratch so that - if done correctly - there is no noise in the first place that you have to get rid off.
You really should learn those differences as Stromtank dealer, otherwise your explanations will sound somewhat ridiculous to your potential customers.

@@marks.2909 You still don´t get the point: Jay calles the Stromtank a Power Conditioner, which it isn´t. The Stromtank is - as for example the PS Audio Power Plant - a Power Regenerator (plus a battery in this case). Wether one product is better than the other is not up to me.

Hmmmm...mitigate the negative harmful effects of my AC system? Do modern amplifiers not come fully equipped with transformers & power supplies that regulate DC voltage output? And if I experience a long AC power outage due to a severe winter storm, will I be able to use my car to jump start the buffer battery? And instead, why not invest in an audio component designed to mitigate the negative & harmful effects of poorly recorded music? Congrats to the manufacturer for designing this unit to look like an autoclave used in medical labs.

This is basically an Inverter/Charger (Inverter: converts DC from batteries to AC output; Charger: takes AC from the Wall to charge the batteries), so I wonder how the Inverter section of the StroMtank would compare to something like a Victron (pure sinewave) Inverter... This video explains how the Victron Inverter works: ua-cam.com/video/UPfUn5ki7OM/v-deo.html

    • @hookem7060

@@unicornslayer6963 Good point about the Specs, but unfortunately that's a systemic problem in the audio(phile) industry... Not sure if Victron is their source, but Victron knows how to build a World-class Inverter... I've got one in my motorhome.

@@unicornslayer6963 It would be interesting to know more about the output of the StroMtank, and how it compares to an Inverter like a Victron... As for the StroMtank housing, agreed, it's very impressive!... But one could argue: (a) The power plant does not need to be visible (eg., it could be stashed away in a closet), and (b) having the Charger in the same box it's not optimal, as it's a source for the noise you're trying to clean-up in the first place!... For example, the start of this video shows the batteries, Charger, and Inverter all housed separately:

@@unicornslayer6963 Well, they do publish "Full Specs" and "Manual" at the bottom of the web page (e.g., AC Output: Harmonic Distortion < 2%)... So I suppose that getting more information would require a hands-on reviewer (to open the box, etc)... Perhaps the folks at Audio Science Review would take a look at it, but given the price tag, I have my doubts... Unless Jay (here) sends them an S 2500 for testing!
