I love when people hear this for the first time cuz everyone gets into it.. for 1987, an era dominated by the guitar solo, Mötley Crüe put out the lead single with no guitar solo! Also the lyrics are a loose version of the Lord's Prayer for the sinner. Aka Our Father. Crüe rules! Thank you guys for doing this!!
East L.A in the mid 80s was crazy. The best lines of this song... "Holy Mary, Mother may I, prey for us on the Wild Side" "East L.A at midnight, Papa won't be home tonight, found dead with his best friend's wife" "A baby cries, a Cop dies, a day's pay on the Wild Side!" Thanks for the reaction 🤙
I saw this tour in 1987. White Snake was opening for them. My ticket was $17.00. I think the shirt I bought there was $10. It's crazy how high priced tickets are.
Great song - crazy lyrics! Kneel down ye sinners, to Streetwise religion Greed's been crowned the new King Hollywood dream teens Yesterday's trash queens Save the blessings for the final ring- AMEN Take a ride on the wild side Wild side I carry my crucifix Under my death list Forward my mail to me in hell Liars and the martyrs Lost faith in The Father Long lost in the wishing well Take a ride on the wild side Wild side Fallen angels So fast to kill Thy kingdom come on the wild side Our father Who ain't in heaven Be thy name on the wild side Holy Mary Mother may I Pray for us on the wild side Wild side. Wild side Name dropping no-names Glamorize cocaine Puppets with strings of gold East L.A. at midnight Papa won't be home tonight Found dead with his best friend's wife Take a ride on the wild side Wild side Take a ride on the wild side Wild side Gang fights Fatal strikes We lie on the wild side No escape Murder, rape Doing time on the wild side A baby cries A cop dies A day's pay on the wild side Wild side, wild side Tragic life on the wild side Wild side, wild side Kickin' ass on the wild side No goin' back on the wild side
I remember when I first heard this song, I was like "This is Gangsta Metal" if such a thing ever existed. You gotta pay attention to the lyrics on this one
I grew up on Motley Cure, it was my aunts fav band, Home sweet Home holds some dear memories for me so will always have a special place in my heart., This is my 2nd fav.
You guys should go see them live.. their shows are crazy... you might even see a crazy drum stunt that Tommy's always doing.. should react to the crucifly drum solo by Tommy lee.
I still remember showing this video to my mom back when this first appeared on MTV. She was in shock about Tommy Lee's drum solo. She remembered me asking about if I could go to the concert and after seeing that she was like "Hell I'm going with you, I goatta see that drummer!!!" She became a huge fan of them after that.
I suggest getting your tickets right from the box office at the venue on the day of the show. Much cheaper than buying on line. That's what I do. Just check with the venue the day of before you leave to make sure it's not sold out. You need to see Motley live. It's a once in a lifetime experience!!!
Tommy Lee never got the respect he deserved, he played the drums the way their meant to be played, HARD! All the fancy tippy taps in the world don't add up to nothing if you're not hitting them hard. Plus his drumming had tons of style and swag. One of the best.
Got to see them several times back in the day and also this tour. They were always "Fire", and ALWAYS on the "Wild Side", to say the least. Definitely one of my all time favorite bands. Always LOVE you guys reacts.
I saw Motley Crue on the Dr. Feel good tour after being a fan for years at that point! As a drummer nothing was more kickass than watching Tommy’s Drumkit spin upside while playing WILD SIDE AND LIVE WIRE. LIVE WIRE IS MY FAVORITE CRUE SONG!
This is a fun song. I miss the old days. Sidenote. I finally realized who Crys is reminding me of. I'm a big fan of David Lynch and his show "Twin Peaks". There was an actress on there named Madchen Amick. She's older now and was on "Riverdale" recently. But Crys looks like her when she was young. 🙂
I got to witness this amazing spectacle live so many times! The tickets were like 20 bucks and we were right down front. There is nothing like seeing them live. I miss the 80's!!
Exactly. 700.00 ,ummm no. Besides they were at their peak then and we were young enough to keep up lol. I'm sure they are still good but just something different about the 80s.
This video was shot in Indy. I am in the video. They did this song twice, so look for Vince Neals hair Some of it he had no sweat, then he does, for the final song of the night This was in 1987, so 36 years ago, neither one of you are close to that age.
Last time I saw Motley Crue in concert, was in 2009. I think I paid around $50 for tickets and we were in the 14th row, just left of center stage. Hell of a show with Godsmack opening, and they were AMAZING! Coincidentally, also the tour that began the ongoing feud between Godsmack frontman Sully Erna and Nikki Sixx of Crue.
Growing up to Motley was amazing!! I just feel so sorry for this generation not getting music like this!! Thank Goodness for UA-cam, and I love seeing new reactions to the music I grew up on :) Nice reaction BTW The Crue was really an amazing band!
I wouldn't watch them now, not for $700 per ticket. I missed their glory days but I did see them in the late 90's for one of their reunion tours and even then, they were already pretty old. I can't imagine seeing them today. It's best to remember them through these videos when they were in their prime.
Saw that tour in highschool,1987, it was an epic show. A then unknown Guns & Roses opened for them. Whitesnake opened some shows but the one I saw had GNR open. Still have the concert ticket.
While it was first made famous by Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee during the Eighties, Joey Jordison(Slipknot) did it while wearing a mask - and with way heavier blast beats. I think y`all saw this in a Slipknot video Spit It Out live too ..Keep On Rockin'
Talk about CRAZY ticket prices, in New Jersey, Taylor Swift tickets were as high as $19,000!!&! My 1st concert was Led Zeppelin w/Judas Priest opening, and I had 10th row center seats on the floor for $16 each!!&! For Motley Crue, I've never paid more than $27 per person and I've seen them 3 times.
The 2022 Stadium tour w/ Motley Crue is sold out... but if u wanna pay a smaller price, Vince Neil (vocals) does solo shows and plays all the Motley Crue hits w/ his solo band. $700 is too much even for me, but I've seen Motley, Def Leppard and Poison in concert 🔥🔥🤘🤘
One of the best back in the day They had wild Concerts Actually got the party with them one night when they showed up at a strip club Oh what a night.............. You'll keep on keeping on Peace out!
I agree with you that Vince’s voice is not at this level anymore, but to be honest (having seen them at their prime) it never really was in a live performance, still leagues better than it is now. But, you go to a Crue show for everything else. Vince’s voice is the least of it, and they have enough backing tracks and back up singers that it’s still a blast. You go for the absolute sheer spectacle. After hearing Jon Bon Jovi’s voice recently (which legit made me tear up) Vince sounds like freaking Pavarotti. All that said $700????? If I had it to throw away….maybe. But only because it isn’t just the Crue….you also get Poison (meh) Def Leppard AND Joan Jett???? That line up is crazy.
Went maybe 10 years ago to a crew and a poison concert. Singing was only half of what you get going to one or there concerts the light show was absolutely mad and they took a troop to go upside down with them when Tommy did the drumming for shout at the devil does the whole song drumming upside down.
They use to put on a great show, first time I saw them it was November 24, 1985 in San Francisco at the Cow Palace. The crowd was so packed that for a moment my feet were not even touching the ground! I could have been trampled, IT WAS AWESOME! Saw them again in 1987 and again in 2011. I'm going to live out the rest of my days remering how much ass they kicked rather than watch them self implode as old men desperately clinging to what once was. Vince just doesn't have the juice anymore, Nikki that boy is still bad to the bone. Of course this is only this old rocker's opinion, but 1400$ for tickets, shoot that's rent!
Check out poison Bret Michaels is the lead singer of poison Ricky rocket is the drummer cc Deville is lead Guitarist Bobby doll is the bass Guitarist Ricky and cc be going wild when they all get together. But I love motley crue they are the fuel to my firer I love Tommy Lee and Nikki sixx
Love the CRUE reactions my guy. But to get their true 100 rawness that put them on the map listen to "Livewire", "On with the Show", Looks that Kill", Shout at the Devil", "Too young to fall in Love", off their first 2 albums/CD. What you reacted to so far are CRUE in their prime. Love the reacts and keep them coming.
Favorite band of that era, if ya want a drummer who rips like that watch some godsmack, Larkin hits hard to! Church out strait out of line and crying like a b!tch, he’s wild lol
cool reaction to a great song, I just gotta ask...How in the HELL can she sit through that entire song and not even a bop of the head? Thats some mad ass concentration right there, just saying =)
I love when people hear this for the first time cuz everyone gets into it.. for 1987, an era dominated by the guitar solo, Mötley Crüe put out the lead single with no guitar solo! agreed

Great song - crazy lyrics!
Kneel down ye sinners, to
Streetwise religion
Greed's been crowned the new King
Hollywood dream teens
Yesterday's trash queens
Save the blessings for the final ring-
AMEN
Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side
I carry my crucifix
Under my death list
Forward my mail to me in hell
Liars and the martyrs
Lost faith in The Father
Long lost in the wishing well
Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side
Fallen angels
So fast to kill
Thy kingdom come on the wild side
Our father
Who ain't in heaven
Be thy name on the wild side Holy Mary
Mother may I
Pray for us on the wild side
Wild side. Wild side
Name dropping no-names
Glamorize cocaine
Puppets with strings of gold
East L.A. at midnight
Papa won't be home tonight
Found dead with his best friend's wife
Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side
Take a ride on the wild side
Wild side
Gang fights
Fatal strikes
We lie on the wild side
No escape
Murder, rape
Doing time on the wild side
A baby cries
A cop dies
A day's pay on the wild side
Wild side, wild side
Tragic life on the wild side
Wild side, wild side
Kickin' ass on the wild side
No goin' back on the wild side
Ive seen them 13 times and always kicked ass on the wild side!!!

Nor since.

She remembered me asking about if I could go to the concert and after seeing that she was like "Hell I'm going with you, I goatta see that drummer!!!" She became a huge fan of them after that.
The formation of Motley Crüe is the single greatest thing to happen to ears all over the wordl!!

He’s respected as a drummer but as a human not so much
Got to see them several times back in the day and also this tour. They were always "Fire", and ALWAYS on the "Wild Side", to say the least. Definitely one of my all time favorite bands. Always LOVE you guys reacts.

This is absolutely my favorite Motley Crue song!!! Thank you for doing this one!!!!!
Thanks for sharing this. I am seeing them in Vegas in September!! Can't wait!! (thank gd the tickets were a gift though. I agree prices are crazy).

Motley Crue was my favorite band throughout the 80s. I've seen them four times. Once in Florida and three times in Vegas.
Can you imagine partying with those guys back in the 80's
Growing up to Motley was amazing!! I just feel so sorry for this generation not getting music like this!! Thank Goodness for UA-cam, and I love seeing new reactions to the music I grew up on :) Nice reaction BTW The Crue was really an amazing band!
It’s just crazy to see someone not moving to this song
I had this CD back in the day.
I wouldn't watch them now, not for $700 per ticket. I missed their glory days but I did see them in the late 90's for one of their reunion tours and even then, they were already pretty old. You guys are reacting to this 30+ years later, us Gen X'rs lived that shit!!!
Saw that tour in highschool,1987, it was an epic show. A then unknown Guns & Roses opened for them. Whitesnake opened some shows but the one I saw had GNR open. Still have the concert ticket.
I saw them Live, between their first and second albums, in May 1983...was my 21st B-Day.
Wild Side is my absolute favorite of theirs! And Tommy's drumming is🔥
While it was first made famous by Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee during the Eighties, Joey Jordison(Slipknot) did it while wearing a mask - and with way heavier blast beats. I think y`all saw this in a Slipknot video Spit It Out live too ..Keep On Rockin'

React to 10 seconds to love from them, another great song from Motley Crue 🤘
They recreated Tommy Lee playing drums upside down in The Dirt. The movie about Mötley Crüe. Machine Gun Kelly played Tommy Lee in the movie.

Vince's voice is nothing like it used to be so I wouldn't waste your money.

bet people running these singers down aren't the same as they were 40 years ago
