I was thinking the same thing about the video being #1 for so many weeks on MTV. I would get home from school and sit in front of TV every weekday to watch this video. I think it had the record of being #1 for like 12+ weeks in a row. I wonder if anybody ever broke that record?
@@Hailme75 yep and then after that any band that went past so many weeks they could no longer be on the list any longer and they called it the “Crue Rule” cuz of Home Sweet Home 1985 lol
About 3 lines in I realized I was singing along without even trying. It's automatic. I did see them live back in the 90s. The best song live was "Kickstart My Heart".
This video was #1 on MTV's Daily Request chart for over three months. It actually forced MTV to create the "Crue Rule" that prevented videos from being on the chart for more than 30 days.
As a teenager in the 80s, I went to several rock concerts of “hair bands” and yes, women charged the stage! We were crazy for these guys. My friend and I would buy the cheap tickets and sneak past guards and end up close to the stage just to see the bands up close. Sometimes that meant taking my heels off and jumping down a 5 foot wall. Was the best times!
I went to this concert in Dallas, FYI - 1985 Mötley Crüe performs in the music video "Home Sweet Home" from the album "Theatre of Pain" recorded for Elektra Records. The video opens with each band member receiving a call. Footage of the band plays at they performs the song at concerts at The Summit in Houston, Texas, and Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas.
That is the definition of a killer 80’s power ballad. Motley Crue- they were all crazy, and crazy talented, lol! Watch a “Behind The Scenes” or any documentary/biopic on them to get the picture of how it was!
I was a teenager in the 80's and my whole world at that time was Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Poison. I've been to so many concerts, hung out backstage, partied, met the bands and so many great people. It was the best. Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are supposed to tour this summer. I promise you if you go, you will not regret it. There is nothing like the experience of a live rock concert.
Thank U Wreck!!! My GREATEST band of all time made me a rockstar from the first time I saw them in 1983 the year my girlfriend was born. I graduate from high school and I brought her to a Mötley Crüe concert. The first time I saw them was I graduate in high school and she was born, probably being born when I was at that show!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yo concerts back then was the shit. The best ever man. I went to one of their concerts in 86 and there 17 thousand fans 13 thousand were hot girls going wild. There haven't been days like that since.
Thank you for sharing your reactions with us, especially the Metal Bands from the 80's! This video reminds me of all the concerts my family, friends and I saw back in the day. Moments in time that always bring smiles to my face. 😁🎶🍻
Watching this video takes me back to the good ol days!! I got to rock the 80's music.. went to a bunch of awesome concerts.. it was the best time of my life.. watching your reaction to 80's Rock is priceless.. i love it!! Keep on Rockin..
I had seen them in concert several times. I was in the army and think I saw them somewhere in Germany back in the 80's. Also at a Monsters of Rock all day concert somewhere. They were. and still are awesome!
Born in 1970 seen the Crue 4 times let me tell you their was nothing like their shows woman everywhere these dudes were hitting more ass than a middle eastern donkey herder in the 80’s…lol what a great time to be alive…my first show this tour 1987 my last Crue show 2015 their farewell tour in 2015…great times
Definitely react to Tommy's Rollercoaster drum solo! Insane! I've seen MC live twice and both of his solos were epic...spinning...upside down...name it! Crazy!
I've seen Motley Crue 4 times. They were women who did get on stage and many more tried to get on stage. They flashed them and threw underwear and bras all over the stage. Crazy good times!
It hurts my heart that you haven’t been to concerts, and now it’s become something so expensive. I stopped counting at 350 concerts, festivals, and shows I’ve been to!!! Starting with Journey when I was in 3rd grade. I have the best memories of every single one!! Now, for my kids it sucks! The last show in October 2021, I went to I took my youngest daughter to Harry Styles (one of the best I’ve been to for real) and tickets for the two of us, just the tickets, we’re $800. And it was 4 hrs away so with hotel, food, gas, of course merch, all said and done, I spent like 2k for one show. So with my kids, we don’t do “vacations”, we each pick a concert/festival we wanna go to and that’s a once a year treat. And it’s tough to financially recover, but I would work all the overtime in the world for them to experience all the amazing music out there! And love seeing y’all react to all the different genres! That’s what true lovers of music do! Enjoy a little bit of every single one of em ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have seen Crue 6 times live. I loved the Carnival of sins tour. it was loud, and crazy with mighty mike. I cant wait till June for the Stadium Tour..
Love this song I won 2 tickets to the show in little rock I gave it to my daughter and granddaughter just for the memories of giving. They said they played a awesome show
1, girls charge the stage all the time; done it myself & was pulled out by security cuz I was tiny & getting crushed but like a dumbass, went right back to the front🤪 I've seen Motley Crue 10 times in concert, great performances and they were cool as hell in person. Gave my bandana to Vince Neil & he wore it all throughout the concert (it was the 80's & the 1st time I saw & met them). If it wasn't for covid, I'd still be going to concerts. Y'all so open-minded it's awesome 👊😎🌟👍
Now this is one of those bands that rocked hard and played even harder lol I think Tommy Lee is one of the best drummers out there, saw them in the 80s and then about 5 years ago and they still go out and put on an amazing concert. Thanks for all your hard work and for the share ❤👍💯✌
Great track/reaction guy’s👏🏼 I’ve seen Motley Crue like 5-6 times they’ve always been great live..these bands like the really big hard rock/Metal bands from the 80’s/90’s especially in a big stadium with a nice atmosphere I think you two would def.have a great time if you went..those bands always put on fun/wild shows but also very professional too..I’d say Metallica..Motley Crue..Guns n Roses..Def Leppard..Aerosmith..Bon Jovi can’t go wrong with any of them..I think they all have their live videos professionally recorded when they’re on tour and then they post them on their UA-cam pages..If you two reacted maybe like a week later or whenever to a newer live version of a track you’ve already reacted to from the studio and really liked’we’d all like that I think..just an idea🤘🏼great job you two keep up the good work👍🏼
I saw Crue back in like 1990 in Oakland and the crowd had a HUGE mosh pit going during this song. The floor was boiling with people. I watched the singer Vince and bass player Nikki point at the crowd and laugh during it. It was nuts.
The movie called Dirt is about Motley Crue, MGK played Tommy Lee in the movie. MGK took 3 months of lessons bc he never played drums before. Tommy said he was proud of him he played him perfectly. It's a much watch!!!
I have EVERY album, in vinyl as well as their documentary that came out in the 80s on VHS. I was obsessed lol. I've relaxed a little in the last couple of decades tho lol. Great song. Try "Dr Feelgood" for something a little more harder lol
Now that you’ve heard them singing this , you need to hear Justin Moore singing it. Vince Neil sings with him on this country version. It’s really good.
Thanks for watching an Oldie like this. I loved this song when I was a kid. You do outgrow it. It’s not that great of a song. But it brought back memories. I do remember loving it as the best song ever. Forgive me, I was young.
You guys should check out anything off of shout at the devil that whole album is fire still to this day!!ive been to a ton of concerts in my life everything from Metallica to cannibal corpse to wu-tang clan to korn to Pink Floyd! I would suggest going to a Korn show or maybe lamb of god they both put on a great show🤘🏻🤘🏻
Y'all are cute af.. I died though when you said "free monster drinks...I'm talkin' big ass cups"!! Lol. You still got your big cup? First time watching. Thx
This song brings back some memories for me. Back in 2009 my sister attempted to take her own life...twice. On the second attempt she was in the ICU basically brain dead. We went to see her to give them permission to remove her tubes that night. I held back all my tears until I got home. I turned on my music and hit random. This is the first song that played. I broke down. Hours later when they removed the tubes she passed away within 40 minutes. This song always makes me think of my sister.
Every ship I served on in the Navy would play this song over the announcement system whenever we received orders to start heading home from deployment.
They re-recorded this song in 1991 that's worth a listen. It's a bit heavier than the original. There's a video for it too. Also 80s rock shows were filled with dudes full of teenage/early 20s testosterone and horny girls of the same age. lol
This video was number one for so long on MTV. The Crue is wild, yall should watch The Dirt its about the band.
I was thinking the same thing about the video being #1 for so many weeks on MTV. I would get home from school and sit in front of TV every weekday to watch this video. I think it had the record of being #1 for like 12+ weeks in a row. I wonder if anybody ever broke that record?
@@rockstarlife6782 they actually retired it from the list to stop it winning if I recall.
Totally remember the same thing. Coming home to watch the top ten videos of the day and home sweet home was number one forever!
@@Hailme75 yep and then after that any band that went past so many weeks they could no longer be on the list any longer and they called it the “Crue Rule” cuz of Home Sweet Home 1985 lol
Top 6 at 6... changed the rules after it was #1 for 5 months. Lol
Check "Wild Side" live! Crue does everything big! 🔥🔥
Best song they put out. Just wish the lyrics weren't so evil. =/
Not the live version tho... The official music video is way more awesome
About 3 lines in I realized I was singing along without even trying. It's automatic.

You are rock n roll.
Saw them in 85 (Theatre of Pain tour)... my first big name concert ever! I was 15 years old, and it was a hell of a wild show.
I’ve been to a bunch of concerts, and the women at a Crue show are on a whole new level. Unlike any other concert, it’s insane
YES! When Tommy say´s WE WANT TITS!
I went to this concert in Dallas, FYI - 1985 Mötley Crüe performs in the music video "Home Sweet Home" from the album "Theatre of Pain" recorded for Elektra Records. You really should check out The Dirt - I think its on Netflix. MGK plays Tommy in that movie. Good stuff.
My favorite, love from a small town in Virginia
One of the greatest rock n roll bands that came out of the 80's and still rocking today, so many hit songs.

Motley Crue were the kings of debauchery and lawless partying lol gotta react to more.. maybe Wild side!!
Mick Mars is so underrated as a guitarist 🎸
If you have a chance to go to a Nightwish concert, go! That is AWESOME!
"Aw, no f*cking way!?" When the piano started (hot tub time machine reference)
Kiss: I was made for lovin you
I saw them in 85 second row center. I've been to many concerts and that show was the best show I've ever seen.
This one is for you Skylar Lynnae Neil
Vince Neil late daughter Rest In Peace
I love the song Vince did for Skylar called "Skylar's Song"
I saw Crue back in like 1990 in Oakland and the crowd had a HUGE mosh pit going during this song. The floor was boiling with people. I watched the singer Vince and bass player Nikki point at the crowd and laugh during it. It was nuts.
If you go to a rock show, go to Foo Fighters. Their These Days video is a kind of homage to this video.
Kid Rock was also married to Pamala Anderson, and Tommy was married to Heather Locklear. Big eighties star!

Tommy Lee also played piano on 'Home sweet home'... he's been prolific as a DJ, electronic beats composer...
Ay homie, loving the rock! LOVING THE ROCK! Gracias for that and please continue showing more, alrato homie.
You would have a ball at a good rock show. 🤘🏼🔥

You have to watch the “Wild Side” video, definitely won’t disappoint!
You should watch the "'DIRT" on Netflix. Gives their crazy ass story
Watch 'The Dirt' on Netflix... All about Motley Crue.. Great movie!!
What a great band this is. Whether it was metal,, rock ‘n’ roll or something mellow motley Crue could grab the crowd and suck them in.
Too young to fall in love, one of my top 10 guitar solo songs
Now that you’ve heard them singing this , you need to hear Justin Moore singing it. Vince Neil sings with him on this country version. It’s really good.
Thanks for watching an Oldie like this. I loved this song when I was a kid. You do outgrow it. It’s not that great of a song. But it brought back memories. I do remember loving it as the best song ever. Forgive me, I was young.
This is my daughters all-time favorite song! She'll be 4 this year.
Try the Wild Side video and you'll see what an ACTUAL Motley Crue concert is about!!!
You got to check out shout at the devil by Motley Crue
Dude, in the 80's the girls were wild for rock musicians. If you were in a band, it was almost guaranteed to get chicks.
You guys should check out anything off of shout at the devil that whole album is fire still to this day!!ive been to a ton of concerts in my life everything from Metallica to cannibal corpse to wu-tang clan to korn to Pink Floyd! Y'all are cute af.. I died though when you said "free monster drinks...I'm talkin' big ass cups"!! Lol. You still got your big cup? First time watching. Thx
During the 80's that's what we did at concerts. We got as close to the stage that we could.
You guys gotta watch the Netflix movie called "The Dirt" all about the band. And you might recognize the guy playing Tommy 😉 Love this movie so much 🔥
These type of songs were called "power ballads". Majority of hair bands had them.
Forget the tommy and Pamela series... You guys gotta watch the Netflix movie about motley crue called The Dirt!!!
she said "bad side, i was lame" with the voice inflection, head shake, turn away and the pursed the lips. Bro you trouble.

If you want to know more about Motley Crue. Check out their Biopic called the Dirt on Netflix.
You should definitely check out The Dirt. So good. Great reaction!! 🙂
You guys need to watch “The Dirt” on Netflix. It’s a movie about the story of Motley Crüe, with MGK as Tommy Lee. It’s a pretty damn good movie.

Wildside is a must
They re-recorded this song in 1991 that's worth a listen. It's a bit heavier than the original. There's a video for it too. Also 80s rock shows were filled with dudes full of teenage/early 20s testosterone and horny girls of the same age. lol
