Amazing how easy it is to find yourself doing 70 in a 45 mph zone when this song comes on. That was a very expensive ticket.
Preach!! I was stopped going 90 in a 65. My excuse? I was trying to beat an ambulance home that was returning my sister from a doctor's visit. (Doctor's office was 75 miles away.) It helped that the ambulance passed me when he asked and they radioed to dispatch to not give me a ticket and verified everything that I told the officer. (BTW, the ambulance was going 85 in a 65 without the lights and sirens on.) Nobody else was home and I wanted to free them up in case they were needed for an actual emergency. The officer just asked that I keep to the speed limit so that they wouldn't need to call them to take me to the hospital. Could have ended so much worse.
@@Rebelrocker69 WOW! Someone was watching out for your wallet that day!
Luckily it wasn’t in a Work Zone, ticket would be double I think.
@@VH-lp4ll school zones are insanely expensive.
@@travisfoster1071 I forgot about that. I remember a friend mine passed a school bus, sign flashing & everything, because she needed to get home and got a hefty ticket on her Dad’s car. He was pissed!!! 😆
"How did he keep going?!?!"
Cocaine.
Tommy Lee is one of the greatest drummers in Rock history. When they introduced him in the cage spinning upside down, people lost their damn minds.
what's next for Tommy skydiving while playing. lol
😂😂😂
Watching there faces as their minds are blown by Tommy Lee doing loop da loops while playing.
Chris
They should have seen him going on the rollercoaster during the tour with Alice Cooper
@@vilianavasileva8213 ua-cam.com/video/MW47CkeG6-Q/v-deo.html
He had that rotating drum cage in Cleveland on the theatre of pain tour our minds were blown ✌️
They have a biopic out called the "dirt" and MGK played the drummer in it who's name is Tommy Lee
Yup and did song with them
On Netflix
I was 13 when i got to see these guys on their girls, girls, girls tour in 1987...i still remember it to this day...love the crue, glad yall liked the video🎶🤘🎶 *and YES, tommy did the whole drum routine with the drum set flipping upside down lol...*he was wearing a harness*
All I can say is: welcome to the badass world of 80's rock (and even 80's music). And believe me: even some of the "wisest" rock bands had their crazy moments during the 80's and early 90's. I still cherish this era nowadays.
TOMMY LEE is the Drummer
REACT TO " Motley Crue - Shout At The Devil - Live At American Music Awards - 1997"
Black Leather is the common look for hard rock.
"Common look for hard rock" but when he asked "what kind of culture" it suggests where did it come from. Motorcycle culture! Motorcyclists always wore black leather because if you crashed the pants and jackets would protect you from brutal road rash where most of your skin might be ripped off. Clearly musicians (many of whom rode bikes themselves) saw this style and thought it was cool. A lot of punk rockers (The Ramones, Billy Idol etc.) picked up on the style too. So that's where it came from. Hell, come to think of it Elvis was wearing all black leather at times during his career too.
@@saintsataniko2116 Very Good. Catch with MC image. Marlon Brando in the Wild Thing movie from the 50s about a MC gang made a big impact. Actually Jim Morrison did it but looked more like designer outfit & Elvis in 1968 was Ultra Cool But Heavy Metal around 1974 starting with KISS even though they were basic Rock & Roll brought it to a new level and look.
@@Rock4UNow Yeah Brando in "The Wild One" is also a great example. And that's biker movie. So I think rockers picked it up from bikers. Of course these hair metal bands like Crue wore a lot of stuff other than black leather. Whatever the origins of leopard print spandex, I'm sure they are less noble. ;)
It's there way explaining L A 80s hair band style
Tommy Lee, one of the under appreciated drummers in rock history
not to Pamela hes not
I think he's very entertaining to watch while he's drumming, but I think he's a overrated drummer. He really just does very basic things while drumming.
@@piercehaugh1583 😆😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🍾🍾🍾
@@dillonsronce2583 it’s not overly complicated in terms of technical proficiency with his playing, but he has such feel and attitude when he plays. It works in the song structure and he really gives it punch
Is he really underrated, don't like so.
He designed custom drum kits for each tour, no repeats!
Glad you guys review one of my favorite 80s bands. True rockstars and bad asses.
They sounded just like the album. Every show. Glad I was able to see them in their prime. Sixx lighting his chaps on fire. 👍
You wear black because you're an outlaw rocker. You ever get a chance to see crue live take it phenomenal show
I seen Motley Crue 4 times in Concert, Every Time The Drummer Tommy Lee would take the Drum Riser to another Level. 1st was just tipping it up towards the Audience. Then what you seen here he did a complete head over heels. Next year the Drums went out Over the Audience. Another several years later, it was on a "Roller Coaster" kinda thing.....Made for A Great show every time.
Well it is said it all started with Rob Halford the lead singer for Judas Priest. He was the pioneer that brought that look into the rock world (although it was kinda inspired by the gay s&m subculture that he was introduce to as he was working on the details of the look in 78). Technically, the purpose of the look was mainly to showcase that they were the ultimate macho of all men, and to showcase their dominance of all bands in the metal world. And, not only did it paid off for Rob and Judas Priest since their fans fell in love for it, but it also inspire an entire culture of heavy metal heads as well that took notes and embrace with open arms that look. I hope this helps.
Amazingly even now a lot of people are completely unaware that Rob Halford is gay and was very familiar with that style of dress. I don't know if Rob ever officially "came out " but it was a well known fact that didn't seem to work against him and and he quite often pranced around in his younger days on stage at least and would appear carrying a whip and in one live film clip for Electric Eye he looks to have a penis pump strapped to his leg .
@@stephenchigwidden7504 he always knew he was gay, and if I remembered correctly, I think he finally came out sometime in the late 90s and early 2000’s and for the most part the metal community never and I mean ever took a problem with it and they embrace it. However, some people think that because he borrowed his look from the S&M culture they think he’s into that kinky stuff. However, he has stated that yes although he’s gay that doesn’t mean his into that kind of stuff and pretty much his sexual escapes are as boring as they come, which to tell you the truth I believe because he’s really mellow, reserve, and even shy. But yeah, I’m glad he was inspired because he created something kick ass.
Tommy was about your age on them drums. seriously watch the movie the dirt. its about them they really are a run away aka nikki six cover band singer vince neil an old man mick mars and a kid drummer tommy lee. you can see him come up with the drum set
Tommy uno de los mejores bateristas de la historia del rock y aún toca un genio 🤟
In the Army, I was a door gunner on a medevac team on a Blackhawk helicopter. The pilots would play Motley Crue for us as we went into pick up wounded soldiers. I think they did that for us, as we were known to fly into hot zones frequently. The music gave us something to focus on besides the bullet strikes on the hull.
few other songs from Motley Crue ---> Home sweet home ... Dr.Feelgood ... Helter Skelter( Beatles cover ) ... Don't go away mad ... Girls girls girls ... Kickstart my heart ... Look that kill .. 😎👍
I heard this song at the Dr. Feelgood concert when Tommy did a similar trick in the rotating drums above the crowd. He bungie jumped out over the crowd and released trusting the crowd to catch him. The poor guy barely made it back on stage with a sliver of clothing from the girls. He crowd surfed the whole way. The Faster Pussycats opened for them that night. Awesome night !
it’s hard to comprehend how big these guys were back in the 1980’s. Also, Mick Mars is incredibly restrained on the albums; when they play live the guy will blow your mind.
There are rumors out that they may do another tour.
Mick still kickin?
Mick Mars and Randy Rhoads were the ones that influenced me to pick up a guitar. I was 12 years old, and I still play to this day because of them.
I love watching y’all banging your heads to this ❤❤❤
I've seen Motley Crue 6 times in concert, every one of them fantastic!
Singer: Vince Neil, Bass Guitarist: Nikki Six, Guitarist: Mick Mars, Drummer: Tommy Lee. Motley Crue made their first album in 1981 by Tommy and Nikki. Nikki and Tommy were the first ones to join then Mick joined and then Vince. Fun fact Vince was arrested in 1984 for drunk driving and vehicler mansluaghter, and Nikki died of a herione overdose around the same time but the docter brought him back to life.
I was at this concert when they made the video, on the drums, he had a 5 point harness " pretty safe, when he did the spins it was actually during a drum solo " edited into this song" they played the song twice for the making of the video, the wear black because they're a dark " mood" band ...the video was made in Indianapolis indiana played 2 sold out shows back to back
Tommy Lee on the drums 😆
Tommy Lee on the Drums
Motley Crue is Vince Neil on lead vocals, Nikki Sixx on bass and backing vocals, Mick Mars on guitar and Tommy Lee on drums
Vince Neil- lead vocals
Mick Mars- guitar
Nikki Sixx- bass
Tommy Lee- drums
I'm going to brag on my city for one moment! This video was filmed at the Market Square Arena, right here in my town - Indianapolis, Indiana! Crue Rules! All Hail Allister Fiend!!
The best band in the world the bad boys of rock and roll 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

As always. Well done
Ohhh I waited for so long for this !! I give you your like for doing this!!;)
and LOoK not one cell phone!!!!!! this was such an amazing concert!!!!! With the spinning Tommy amazing!!!
The drummer is Tommy Lee! He was married to Heather Locklear, Pamela Anderson. My favorite rock band of all time. Check out The Dirt on Netflix. It's about Motley Crue.
Motley Rocks🤘😎😊
I like seeing others enjoy the music i grew up on. I was a hard rocker...but Parliament Funkadelic was one of my favorite groups as well.
Real leather pants, tops and jackets were mostly black sometimes red. They are wearing leather ( REAL leather). Which was VERY expensive back in the day. I LOVE Motley Crue!!❤
The drummer is Tommy Lee, he is a sick drummer and one of the icons of 80's hair metal. Metal bands back then wore al black because of a man named Rob Halford who wanted his bands style to be dark and mysterious. So he went into a sex shop one day and got an outfit and wore it at a show one time and after that every band started Emulating that style. It has progressed over the years but that is the origin of where the leather black suits everyone wears came from.
I like these two, they all happy and open minded to stuff you didn't think they'd give two cents about.
The drummers name is tommy lee
The lead vocals name is vince neil
The two guitar players is mick mars and nikki sixx
I saw the Crue on this tour. Tommy Lee did his drum solo while his drums set was spinning over the audience. Back in the day the Crue was the wildest band there was. China put a million dollar bounty on anyone who would kill them, Tommy Lee slept with every blond Hollywood star and filmed it. You can purchase those movies. Vince, the lead singer, is a race car driver.
Home sweet home another classic
Tommy Lee on drums. He also did special live drum solos with the his drum set moving on differen trails, like small roller coasters.
About black being the collor of rock. Rock is about rebelling, just like punk. To be free and who you want to be. So you use "shocking elements" (well, times changes, more so back then), like anti-christian themes. Black is associated with darkness, demonic, evil side of the spirit realm, death. It's just a symbol of rebellion and attitude. Same back when Johnny Cash wore all black.
I saw Motley Crue in 1984 at the Us Festival 2. They had just released the Shout at at the Devil album.
ALL IS WELL. YOU 2 ARE COOL.
omg I am mesmerized by her beauty
I was at these concerts in the 80s. I was about 18 then.
Awesome!
👇Motley Crue👇
Lead Vocals: Vince Neil
Bass: Nikki Sixx
Guitar: Mick Mars
Drums: Tommy Lee
Seen them in concert twice back in the 80s. Good show.
80's was the best time ever...
My fav Motley Crue song. It's always awesome.
If you look hes in a car seat and seat belted in as he rotates...was fortunate to see this tour live
One of the best live bands in the 80`s by far. I like all genres of music and nothing against the new bands and rap music. It takes a lot of talent to be on stage live playing all the instruments and doing what they do. A lot of the new stuff takes very little actual talent, the music is piped in so you sing and dance to it. While good it is not the same.
I see a lot of people being converted from hip-hop music to New crue Fans
Nice reaction! I remember seeing Tommy over the crowd and spinning back during the Dr. Feelgood tour...maybe around 1997'ish. Keep it up!
Seen them 3 times live - never disappointed
They wore black so much because it signifies rebellion away from music norms. Metal is rebellion 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
True story. Johnny Cash, a country musician, originally started wearing all black early in his country career. It was such a cool look that rock bands emulated that look. Also check out the video Hurt by Johnny Cash. You won’t be disappointed!!
these 2 always looking fresh af.
I AM IN LOVE.....
Historically the color black is associated with outlaws & bad men. Rock and roll has that rebellious spirit. It was the music your parents hated and couldn't understand how you liked that "noise". Ironically the original man in black is considered to be Johnny Cash - a country artist ! He always had that rock n roll rebel spirit though . So all styles of music have their colors so to speak , country - cowboy boots & hats , rap & hip hop - baggy clothes , gold chains , grills , rock & metal - black clothes , leather . One thing about the 80's & especially the bands from the L.A. scene , they all put on kick ass shows as you can see in the videos.
I was at this concert where the video was made it was in Indianapolis Indiana October 1987 it was my first concert!!
This was my first concert. Guns and Roses opened up for Motley at the Hollywood Sportatorium in Miramar, Florida. Behind C.B. Smith park. Crazy concert. What was that strange smell? Can you imagine being 11 and seeing that show?
Plenty of great tunes old school
Black stands out it works ya she noticed it... Leather looks better in black in all kinds metal from glam hair bands to speed thrash metal to iron maiden and Judas priest the ones that brought out the black leather for all kinds of reasons you will learn
once you go black...
@@jdwelborn 😂 calm down
I have seen them 6 times. and have tickets for the Stadium Tour (Carolina Panthers) with Poison, Def leppard, Joan jett.. Hell yea...
Dean Brothers, Check out the "rollercoaster" designed drum set that the drummer Tommy Lee of Motley crue uses! There are videos of it! The drumset ride on the track order the whole crowd and the drum set is designed to roll forward like a front flip and the roll backwards like a back flip again, over the whole crowd in the stadium!
guys I was there. Indianapolis Indiana and it was FKN crazy. Had no idea they were gonna shoot video. They did it 3 times and everytime Tommy (drummer) spun in the cage it was HELLASHISH . Lost my girlfriend to them as she got offered backstage after party pass. Currently close to you all in Navarre. You guys really have no idea what you missed being born later on. You would love seeing what I have seen.
Good question, black is a power color, dark, mysterious and if you mix in some brighter colors the contrast really makes it pop. The music is often dark, forbidding and mysterious, so it’s a reflection of who we are.
Black goes with everything lol😂
He is sitting in a race car style seat and is belted in. The drums are fixed to the rotating device so everything works just like if it's sitting on the stage
Because it hid the dirt. It went with “the look”. There were all kinda reasons. Non nefarious. Just rock and roll baby!!!
Held in drums with shoulder locks like upside down roller coasters
During this tour they were partying hard!!!!!!!!
Awwww sheeiiittt...Motley Crue be blowin up yo!
I saw Motley Crue on there final tour in 2016 in Hershey PA it was honestly the best concert I ever saw in my life and the most memorable
I have seen several times, saw them on this tour with Guns and Roses opening up for them,Tommy rotating in the air like on this video was awesome.
He's strapped in
I Saw Motley Crue in 1988 for the Girls, Girls tour at Rosemont Horizon (Chicago). White Snake opened up for Motley Crue on that tour. Both were at the peak of their career.
Black is dark. It draws darkness. It absorbs energy. Also nothing cooler than black leather. It's also slimming and mysterious
He was strapped in .
Tommy Lee has roller coaster drum set UA-cam it
Grow up listen to them motley crue my parent blasting rocking out to this jam in the house xD.
Big blonde hair and black leather. It's very 🤘😝🤘
Color black goes with everything and just looks cooler \m/
I'm in Tennessee myself, but I have a very close buddy who lives in Milton FL
Well you are watching 1980 rock back when they had all the leather/hair band going on...and they all looked like...well it was hard to tell whether or not they were male or female...great reaction video. Keep it goin on!
🔥
Now check out Smoke the Sky and Face on the dirt.
You should check out Tommy Lee's drum solo from there final tour. He called it the cruecifly it was a rollercoaster that went over the crowd to the center of the arena while he was spinning in the air.
Dr. Feelgood is another classic from them, same ol' situation, girls, girls, girls, kickstart my heart, home sweet home, take me to the top.
Or same ol situation great vid
Do these next: Same Ole Situation, Girls-Girls-Girls, Home Sweet Home, Looks That Kill, Dr. Feelgood, Smokin' in the Boys Room, Don't Go Away Mad, Too Young to Fall in Love, Shout at the Devil, and one the their newest - The Dirt.......as you can tell, any given rock concert is a night of awesome entertainment!
Black leather is badass uniform of 80’s Rockers
My biggest regret is that there were Crue concerts I didn't get to attend.
The drummer has a video out of him on a boat...worth looking up...
Black...because pink just doesn't cut it.
Powerful music requires powerful color.
Tommy Lee and Vince Niel still living on the WildSide
You should check out Tommy Lee's holiday video with Pamela Anderson.
