For those that don't know, the 2nd 9v Socket on the TU2 is for powering a 2nd pedal , both by 9V Adapter or Battery.. & another little known tip is (sounds crazy but its true) if you Suspect you have a Ground loop Hum issue through your rig & you turn on the TU2 & the tuner displays a "G" this indicates you do have a Ground loop issue.. because Ground loop hum is (let me remind u again, it sounds crazy) in the key of "G"..
I've helped players out with Pedal board Ground hum issues & no one believes it's true until they see it for themselves..
Ive had that Boss tuner for 15 years and never knew it could be used as a buffer like that. Tried what you said last night and your right its the only was to get the wah to work properly when putting the wah first. Learn something new all the time!
Great tone you got , I’m planning to get a wah pedal and I already bought a fuzz face
Awesome! Thats always a great combo
again ! the most helpful vids on the net in case of tone and how to use it🙌🏻
DanDrive pedal thank you sir. Much appreciated!
Great video again Nik!! Keep them coming, loved hearing the info about hendrix's pedals 👍😄
Love that strat! I'm looking to get a vintage strat, preferably Oly white.
Very well explained , played & toned 👍🏻
Sounds great! Killer playing and tone ❤🔥❤
I found that putting my Jim Dunlop Jimi Hendrix wah pedal after my red Jim Dunlop JD-F2 Fuzz Face (converted to two BC108C silicon transistors), sounded the best to my ears, it has more of a vocal sound to it, I found that if you put the wah before the Fuzz Face it will have a tendency to howl, or oscillate at some point in the wah's sweep range.
thanks man! i was just asking some ppl about this
Your Chanel is great man! Inspiring - Thx 4 sharing!
Thank you. Much appreciated
Bloody brilliant!!!
I use guitar into Fuzz Face into Roger Mayer Red Lion Wah.
Thanks! Sounds like you have a good combo as well!
I run a guitar into Morley bad horsie2 into a 3699 danelectro and it sounds great. I'm not trying to sound like anyone, just going for the best tone. I have a looper switcher everything goes through except for the wah. Guitar goes directly into wah, out of wah into looper switcher then 3699 fuzz. The danelectro 3699 fuzz is badass. Love it.
Good video most informative - I'm kinda new to the fuzz scene, is there any new off the shelf fuzz pedals you recommend? Ps that 61 strat is great 👍🏻
really dig this channel man, found your video when i was searching for new SIMO stuff, digging this.
Darren Doxey awesome. Thank you. I did an interview with JD a little bit ago. Hope it finds u
yeah thats what i found first. Hes the best guy. Glad to say he remembers me everytime I go travel and see them play lol. What a monster he is, great interview. Any tips or tricks for making non master volume, silver face super reverbs to get better? short of blackfacing it?
Darren Doxey yea. Blackface it and tube it right. U cant go wrong
The Riff w Nik Sevigny yeah. Seems to be the way to go.
i love my Sonus Grey fox onboard Buffer...........
Big like. And what you say about octave fuzz before the fuzz or after.
You and millstap are my tone gurus
Great video! Have you ever tried the Foxrox Wah Retrofit in your wah? I’ve never tried this myself. I do get good results with the Face before the wah.
Hello how are you? I have a mini german fuzz from tom sline and a replica of the 1967 Clyde McCoy with low-gain BC179 eBC109 cap metal transistors. The sequence is: wah
Nice guitar bro. What year is that? Running aftermarket pickups or stock?
Jimi must have had a buffer in his wah or something because he ran the wah first...theres that video with dave weyer saying he did that in the woodstock wah but I'm not sure of the authenticity
Hi mate, love your playing and videos! Just wondering if you could make a video about using reverb pedals with other pedals. I have a Marshall DSL 40C which I find doesn't have enough reverb on it's own, so I have a Behringer reverb pedal in my chain to give it a boost which seems to effect the other pedals slightly and my tone quite significantly as it is quite sensitive. Do you have any advice in regards to where I should put the reverb pedal in the chain?
Beringer isn't bad but you might want to experiment with other reverbs to see what you might be missing Cheers
Hey Nik,
Is there anything you can say about that conversation with Eric Johnson about the Hendrix wah/fuzz interaction? Does he have knowledge that the wahs and/or fuzzes were indeed modded?
Thanks!
They were definitely modded. Mayer modded everything they bought, to get more distortion or to work with Wahs better.
Hey, great video! Btw. what strings gauge are you using?
Check the most recent video!
Very helpful bro I appreciate the vids. Turns out I’ve been setting it up wrong lol
John Ellis well its not wrong. The way YOU do it is how YOU want it. These are just some things to mess with. Nothing is set in stone. No rules!
What brand/type of treble bleed are you using?
I just make my own
Hey Nik- have you experimented with true bypassing the Wah? Mine is sucking some tone and I was contemplating. Great videos!! Best
RareOrson yes. Some will be fine without it but i really feel old wah wahs come alive when true bypassed!
Nik, did you remove the small round rubber stops on the wha pedal for more sweep?
Sometimes i do. Sometimes i dont. Depends on the feel of the wah

@@theriffwniksevigny5473 ,Thanks for the tip
Is your wah an older wah or just the new version?
Mark Canino 1967. You can see it at 1:25
Jimi always use the wah first ;)
🤔
@@matthewtaylor808 just watch all the videos and photos of Jimi ;)
Tom!
The Riff w Nik Sevigny thanks guys
