For me tatarin is still the Best, because it's the Best at it's class- the scout class. Burlak on the other hand feels kind of slow offroad with that switchable difflock. both are super fun though!
The Burlak has really impressed me. It may be slow, but damn it goes everywhere. I have some unfinished business in Amur, and it was great seeing the Burlak tackle any kind of insidious terrain trap in Cosmodrome, Urska River and Northern Aegis Installation. The only minor annoyance is that it can be tippy, which is expected from such a tall, rigid vehicle. The Tatarin is still unbeatable at tearing through deep mud and rescuing trucks, though. In a recent gameplay, it was able to get a loaded Derry Special WITH a loaded trailer back to their wheels. Cheers! //Rick
Totally, it’s really high and top heavy especially with the crane. It also seems to have no suspension travel so any small rock can tip you past the point of balance…. Then it’s really hard to upright again.
Tartarin wins, better tires helps the ice issue, and the thing never tips, look at the ditch test, every bump with the Burlak causes anxiety lol. I do say in Alaska the Burlak is absolutely wonderful on its own asa scout vehicle. The Burlak is great for scouting and transporting and its likelihood to tip makes it a less viable rescue vehicle. The tartarin is better for almost all other locations. Everywhere but deep water and deep snow so honestly having both available would cover you handily throughout the game. Great video, have fun anyone watching!
Definitely valid points. Tatarin is probably better for ridiculous maps like Kola or Amur, but for transportation and a refuel/repair vehicle Burlak is definitely better.
Burlak's utility similar to the F-750 is what makes it powerful, crane + bed + truck trailer for a scout is just crazy. Combine it with its good offroad performance, and I would say its the best.
Nice little comparison. I've actually never used the '420 that much as I have to admit to using a couple of pimped up scouts mostly (JBE Loadstar 1700 being my main one, love that thing!) but for me the Burlak, while it is pretty good at most stuff it's just too slow for me, it definitely needs a bigger engine. For the new region i was determined to use that and the Neo to do all my scouting once I got them but after about an hour with both of them they were back in my garage and the Neo has now been sold... the tiny fuel tank makes it useless IMO. I'd be interested in a comparison with the F750 though - it's also a scout I've never used as I lost my whole game file while I was doing Kovd and had to start the game over and have never gone back to that map - saving it for when I feel like torturing myself next!
Long live the king. Tatarin! I have tried Burlak and was disappointed in the performance. I'd only use it for the ability to tow a trailer or cargo, something the Tatarin can't do. However it's sluggish when doing so. Try pulling a trailer then dropping the trailer mid drive, you can see the difference. If I was going to pull a trailer I'd use the Loadstar anyways.
@@Slimon_ Sure, there's always going to be some circumstances where a particular vehicle will outshine others. But I wouldn't base the entire vehicle off the one thing it does better.
But you forgot that the burlak also can carry 1 cargo, is able to install an loading crane (even when the standard box is on the back of the burlak), i tested it and the burlak will drive an wider distance than the tatarin.
The tatarin is the great scout but lacks chained tires and snork even though the tatarin is a n amphibious vehicle recommendation is use burlak if the region had too much ice
I hate the Burlak. It has a great performance and fuel economy but the bastard tends to fall over unexpectedly on small rocks, even on asphalt, ruining the run. Autonomous winch is not always able to bring it back up because of it being a top heavy rectangle.
Lol, for me it‘s exactly the same. I started a new game and I only use a money mod and the 1-3 Season Passes and I went straight for the Burlak. I rescued it with the Tatra T813. I‘m now in Kola bc I want the F750 next. It‘s a living hell. It tipped right infront of a watch tower. Luckily I got the winch on the tower to drag me to it. To get back to the F750... I tipped almost 3 times on the way to the Ford, despite that I only used L+ and L-. But then, right infront of the F750, the stupid thing fell over. I will try it one more time. If I fail again bc of a slightly uneven road, I use a Kolob or CAT or whatever it takes to get to the Ford and deliver it. Like you said, it has a good performance, fuel, it goes through every mud, snow etc., and I like the whole design. BUT: even in Michigan, I flipped this thing many times and I play the game since 2021. I let the Burlak in my Garage for now but I think I will use the Tatarin like years ago and the F750 if I get the fucking thing out of Lake Kovd 😅
Well, you hardly get into deep water (or maybe I don't know some shortcuts) and suspension test score was a bit favored to Burlak because Tatarin is kinda the same and isn't a huge difference that would make it worse than Burlak. So two points arent so important. Deep snow, well, I've been with Tatarin in some weird places and got out, eventually. With Burlak I tipped over twice on my way in the same spot so yeah, Burlak is too tippy and unreliable on hard maps. Clear win for Burlak for going so easy on ice, coz there are some places where Tatarin would struggle, a lot. But for me Tatarin is the best scout overall :P
У БТР 1 большая проблема - нет фаркопа. Не годится для разведки. Бурлак цепляет локатор и на лебедке тянет еще цистерну. Лучший скаут на данный момент.
The TUZ is faster in most situations, but the Burlak is more reliable and can do everything the TUZ can do and more I'd say the Burlak is the new king of scouts
@@thegamingrat1 yes and elden ring cost 60 buck and doesnt have particularly useful trucks either :D and other random things cost money and dont have trucks, what i am annoyed about is that many of these trucks list never mention that most of "good" trucks are for extra cash. Ofc a paid truck will be better than a free one because there has to be a reason to buy it.
Disagreed. The Burlak fills in a fun niche between the Tatarin and F750 but each of those are still better at their individual roles. The F750 carries more fuel and isn't that far behind in off-road capability and the Tatarin is just plain better off-road...sans water. With those massive wheels I thought the Burlak was going to be way better at off-roading. I love it's ability to switch hitches. It's a good lazy man pick, it's great at everything even if it isn't per se the best at any one thing... except hauling scout trailers. And water crossing. It is the best at those.
Well, as irony has it, just this morning I used the Burlak to rescue an F750 that fell through thin ice in Lake Kovd. I think the Burlak isn't stellar at off-roading mainly because they gave it a weak engine. But I still haven't found a type of terrain the Burlak can't handle. It can get annoyingly slow in supersnow/supermud, but it doesn't get stuck. Cheers!
So the burlak is just cheating with regular tires gripping ice 😂 that cant even get a point, thats just unrealistic, in game logic ignoring magic 😂 thats like a hockey player playing with boots with studs on & a caddle prod. At that point might as well add modded scouts & let the 750 be the end all alpha & omega champion forever more. 😂

it is just me or burlak kinda tipsy?
It is!!!
Not only is it tippy but it's hard as heck to upright itself again.
A bit less without equipping the crane, but still definitely less stable than Tatarin
Totally, it’s really high and top heavy especially with the crane. It also seems to have no suspension travel so any small rock can tip you past the point of balance…. Then it’s really hard to upright again.
It is. Try skipp the roof rack. Makes it better.

I just want the switch the hitch option for the F750 so I can use scout trailers with it
Yeah, that would definitely be helpful.
Finding Burlak 6x6 to be very unstable, and extremely difficult to get back on its wheels once it has tipped over
That is true. I believe that with good planning of routes and considering your winch points it is possible to keep it upright.

Completely agree!
Ironically, there's an option for this for the real life version too.

I do like the burlak, but it feels like im driving a styraphome brick, u know?

You should try the JBE Tuz Tatarin too
I really gotta hop on snowrunner again. What map is this?
That's the Proving Grounds map from the mod menu.

Try to tow a scout trailer with loadstar on Kola

Infact this would make a good vid of all trucks scouts on their side near trees...

Ok is it just me, or did the burlak actually float in the water test?
Haha yeah, it looks like it did! Maybe that's because of its insane height which makes it look like that.

Burlak is from dlc? if yes when u get dlc u get him for free or u need to find/buy him?
Yeah, it's from the Season 11 DLC and you need to get it from the Troll Tamer mission.
The tatarin should've been amphibious since it is based on the GAZ-59037A which is a russian all-terrain amphibious vehicle
There's no chances to place Burlak over Tatarin. Stability is the key in this game and Burlak is tippy like 1 year old baby trying to walk 😂

Try righting it when it tips... might be harder than the yak...
I prefer the international... But most underrated scout is the yar 81

The Tatarin completely fails on Rocky terrain because its way too low. Getting stuck on every little rock.
Agreed!
The TUZ is faster in most situations, but the Burlak is more reliable and can do everything the TUZ can do and more
I'd say the Burlak is the new king of scouts
ofc its better because Tatarin is in the game and Burlak cost 7 euros extra.
Yukon cost 7 euros and doesn't have any particularly useful trucks. Just because a region or truck costs money doesn't necessarily mean it's great.

Burlak seems to have more offroad capabilities. Tuz is the perfect thing to pull shit out of mud.
Definitely! I also prefer the Burlak as it can equip trailers.
Think Burlak its not that great as scout. Its to big and bad in tight turns.

They are both scouts in the scouts class.
