(Climbed Michigan Mountains while winching trailers step by step) Femm 37T , Kenworth 612, Step "Hecht" and the Mack Defence are my main trucks. Its sad that some vehicles arent usable in the game... Like scouts that get stuck almost everywhere. Or even the small Tatra support vehicle that you cant keep on the road even with best road tyres. A problem many have when you combine and road gears aswell. Its just usable for higher H gear... And then the Mack defence is better cause it supports an additional Low - in its road gear. (Besides the independent suspension and active suspension)
@@keencolios591 I still have a few hundred hours of gameplay before I get the FEMM. Twinsteer gets AWD in Kola, and that turns it from crap into a beast. It's actually hard not to use the Twinsteer due to how easy and fast it makes every mission. There's very little terrain it can't do. I have it in Highrange gearbox set in high gear except when most the trip is mud. I would love that Mack Defense, but I'm playing the DLC regions in order, 460 hours so far. I'm in Amur now, and it's still kicking ass. One of the biggest things I had to pick up on to counter the tippy-ness is just turning the wheels in the direction of your falling. Those front wheels will move the bottom of the truck back underneath the top faster than the truck can fall over to fix the center of gravity. This makes it a truck where you really need to be paying attention to not flip over. Also, knowing what types of turns the twinsteer just can't do- that's part of it.
And its road gear set has an additional Low - gear. So its fast too. Mack Defence, Kenworth 963, Step "Hecht", Femm 37 T and Kolob 73xxx are my main trucks. Azov 73210 without active Suspension gets stuck everywhere on the DLC maps... Or did they fix this?
I think there are missing 3 trucks. First is KRS 58 Bandit. It's´a great rock climber and it's a beast in hard regions like Yukon. Second is Step 33-64 Crocodile. It's great trcuk for scouting or helping to other trucks. It has strong engine for his size. Third is KOLOB 74941. This KOLOB is super stable and very good for hauling Superheavy semi-trailers.
Bandits fuel range holds it back. Though agree on then others. The Crocodile is almost too powerful with best engine, always on duel set, and so. It can handle some bad conditions for a small truck
I love the Kenworth simply for the high saddle fuel tank combo. Makes one heck of a mobile base. Gotta have the right tires for it though. Too grippy of tires will cause axle lock and make it hard to go up hills. I forget which mud tired I use but I use ones that have a slightly worse dirt rating so the tires have more of a chance to slip. Sometimes it also helps to turn off and back on the AWD to try to get the tires to spin. I've gone through places with that truck with a 5 slot trailer fully loaded plus the fuel tank full of fuel that other trucks have a hard time going through empty.
Yeah man, twinsteer can scramble. I saw a vid a couple days of someone doing the drowned lands container delivery in a minute 57 with the twinsteer in AWD! Timmy or Tommy, or something like that.
I agree 100% with your top 3 for sure. 963 is the best hands down. People on discord did not like when i told them this the other day. Glad someone else agrees with me.
Forgot Klad. But I use all the other trucks that you mentioned. I have every region done except the Co op on Tennessee. The zirks are best. Kenwood is too slow and gutless, but its massive size benefits in certain circumstances. Oh yeah, I don’t use that crazy logging truck with its silly crane. Mostly because the articulating turning the same with the Femm
I guess you play with keyboard? With Xbox one controller its easy to handle. I mostly use a Thrustmaster T GT II wheel with load cell Pedals and TH8 Shifter. (Xpadder needed to make it work) Changes the game to a new level ;). And makes Trucks like the Femm a real favorite. Changing gears with wheel can be a bit diffucult without the shifter and Xpadder. No idea why they made it so stupid... I did set the gears on the Numpad ;). Guess works for keyboard players too.
Unfortunately Kenworth doesn't have chains, rendering it difficult to use in snow maps due to icy roads. I find the Zikz 612 is of more use in winter terrain. But if it works for you, drive your own favourite. 😎
@@MALIPIRATE Really? I use it as my main fuel supply truck. It has its difficults with deep mud. But for pure offroad/road it could be a good ootion. On the other hand. The Mack Defence with its independend and active suspension beats alot of trucks. Especially since its road gear has an additional low - . So you are fast, can handle the most difficult terrain and even the deepest mud wont stop you.
Does the TUZ 16 Ataceon still have the ability to attach saddle low? If it does, it's essentially the best vehicle for doing nearly anything (because of the autonomous winch)
I had to scroll too far for this comment, the Kenwood is good, but not that good. It's underpowered in my opinion and has no tire options, gets stuck on a icy incline and a very steep incline can stop it dead in its tracks. Just my opinion, so if someone likes it who am I to say what they should like. I'm a complete noob at less than 300 hours, maybe it's my lack of skill that's the issue....
@@rogiervs420420 It's not your lack of skill. The Kenworth is garbage, can't climb a hill unloaded. I use it with the heavy crane for support lifting heavy vehicles because it's so weighty itself. Beyond that, there are many better options for every other task.
Guess you play the game with Keyboard? With controller or Wheel its easy to handle. (Thrustmaster T GT II, Load Cell Pedals and TH8 Shifter with Xpadder. (Gears bound to numpad;)) But right... You need to be a bit carefull or it tips. And together with Kenworth 963 its one of the difficult vehicles to recover due to its weight
Cant be hardmode. Cause then he would have included the Mack Defence. 8x8 with great independend and active suspension, powerfull but economical. And its road gear set includes an additional low - gear for deepest mud. So its fast too.
You don't feel any difference with mud in the Kenworth because it's so damn slow. Put a hill infront of it and it's useless. Was cool for a bit but I've quickly forgotten about it.
I’d have put the kenworth in second and the 612h in first mainly because the kenworth just lacks power. It just won’t go up hills with big trailers or pull itself out of a lot of situations
I often use the Kolob for heavy trailers like the 8 Slot one. But right... The Kenworth 963 gets stuck on rocks pretty fast. Besides that its one of my maines. The Azov 73 was my fav vanilla one. But it gets stuck on all DLC maps :/. Even on roads! And getting the active suspension is pain...
it would be nice to know at the start of the video that 8 out of 10 trucks in the list are DLC. A lot of content around snowrunner i look at is oh go get this truck its awesome you look it up and its inside a 10 dollar DLC. great advice go pay more money.
Most DLC also include new maps and gameplay features. But right. He could noted that the Ziks is a stand alone DLC truck. And those are overpriced... I also wonder why he didnt mentioned the Mack defence wich is in the same DLC map as the Kenworth 963. And its a beast with its 8x8 independend and active suspension, low fuel cost and its fast road gear has an additional low - for deep mud. Best vanilla is the Tayga. Especially since you can get it right at the start of the base game. And even stock one is really good. Azov 73 is great on Vanilla too. But collides with the ground on all DLC maps. Even on roads! They also did hide many of the great upgrades in DLC maps. Like the AWD for twin steer. Getting active Suspension for Azov 73 is a nightmare... I have a map that shows me cargo and upgrade positions... Really usefull when you want to find the good upgrades fast.
First of all thank you for this great video! As I went through the first maps I wanna stack goods now as well to make the singleplayerlife easier. How do you stack the concreteplates? is it an option in the menu or are they just supported by the crane being on top of them?
@@philwhite8904 This game kinda breaks when you start overloading your trucks with the crane XD. Because of the way the game's weight system works, unpacked cargo somehow weighs less than packed cargo, so manually loading huge cargo loads is perfectly feasible. I had to do 12 metal beams for a contract in Wisconsin, loaded em all manually on a wide flatbed semi trailer, was able to do it all in 1 trip, probably would've taken at least 3 otherwise.
@@panther-nk2hn I did stuff like this too. Just not that crazy^^. Turned my Kenworth 963 into a 4 slot one with its crane holding to nr 4. Even carried scouts on its crane while hauling cargo. The weight of unloaded cargo is lighter due to how ingame cranes work... They are emberassing compared to real life ones. Some players cheat long wood hauls by stacking the trees on long vehicles like the Femm 37T or , when you drive carefully, on the medium wood add ons. Needs an addional long wood truck with crane on the target place. But still much easier and faster compared to packed ones.
Yeah it's gonna be quite a while before you or I get these trucks... I'm here with ya. Right now the best trucks in MY game are anything I am *currently able* to equip with 4WD (diff lock is preferable, not mandatory though as long as other boxes are ticked), lifted suspension, and mud tires... Or in other words, the Fleetstar F2070A and the ANK MK38 civilian... Everything else has highway tires, or is lacking the absolutely essential: 4WD, at this time it seems.
Go to lake kovd and grab AWD for mh9500. It's super easy, I grab it the moment I get the first garage. You can buy a/t tires for Chevy scout instantly. Super easy route in lake kovd
stack the slabs, enter CRANE MODE, select the LOWER slab! you will be lifting the lower slab and the other ones will be balancing over it.... PRECARIOUS SITUATION, but doable...
I think both big ziks trucks are without doubt the best in the game, and I think I understand the reasoning behind choosing KW963 as no.1 Playing with ziks is extremely boring in all honestly, they make the game way too easy, there's not once where I was like "Oops I picked up the wrong truck for this job" with kenworth its still very capable truck but there are some difficulties especially with ascending and I think that make it more interesting, beside that it looks amazing, has nice addons and engine / exhaust sounds is awesome!
I throw mine in Low + and let it eat hills are tough to a point but I get it over but how will it does in every thing else makes up for it and there ain’t much it won’t pull over I can carry 2 scouts when scouting on the oil bed
using the crane to stack cargo on flatbed then using same crane to hold down the load . there are several examples of overloading in the video. overloaded cargo is not packed to bed @@Bigtinycrawler
For some reason.... i love using the mack defender. People dont like it cause it used to have a clipping clearance bug which has been patched. I bought the british colombia dlc just for the mack and the kenworth trucks. I like both. People dont but i do. I think the russian trucks are too op. Im guessing thats cause the game is a russian made game lol
Thats why avoid the Tayge except for wood;). Mack defence is a beast. And its road gear has an additional low - . Wich makes it a vehicles that masters every terrain, is fast and fuel efficient and can drive through deep mud. Kenworth 963, Femm 37 T and Step "Hecht" are my main ones. Azov 73xxx was once one of my faves too. But colides with the ground on all DLC maps... Even on roads!!! And getting its active suspension is a nightmare... The newest DLC added a usable scout. Scout because it can handle booth trailers and has a radar. Otherwise they would have labeld lt offroad truck ^^. I use the new Paid Azov as service or fuel vehicle. Its kinda sad that many vehicles arent that usable... And many trucks with road gears , including those explicit for roads, cant handle it. So its only better for higher "h" gear. Mini Tatra cant handle its best engine even with offrad gears. But kinde funny to catapult it with road gears and that beast engine^^. Btw. I play the game with Thrustmaster T GT II, load cell pedals and the TH8 Shifter (xpadder to remap and then bound the gears to the numpad) I guess the fine gear set is for people who play this game on keyboard? Couldnt find another use for it.
Ziks 612H is the best one actually. Kenworth has terrible fuel efficiency, gets stuck in the mud or goes through it too slowly. Really underwhelming compared to 612H.
Wait until you need to overload for 20+ cargo missions. Nothing compares to 963. I haven't once got stuck in the mud. It's trash with highway gearbox and anything but top engine. Ive been on all the crazy maps with it. Except like Tennessee and the base game
I haven't had problems getting stuck, I have problems with hills. The Kenworth needs more power imo. Empty, sometimes I can't get up a hill, but other trucks fully loaded cruise right up. I wish I knew why.
You can comfortably haul more cargo with 963 vs 612. 612 is more useful than the 605 tho. Not arguing, that's my opinion. 963 was my main workhorse in Amur. I even bought a second
Decent video. I respect your opinion but in my view based on the 100s of players I played with as well as my own testing - Voron and Tayga trucks are out of game Meta. During the first year and maybe second year of the game they were fairly top tier but definitely not anymore. You forgot the 5600TS. Aside from fuel consumption, it's superior to every truck except the 612H and 963. While I have figured this out long before everyone else, eventually the rest of the snowrunner community caught up too. Although they seem to believe it's the absolute best and I disagree with that. Finally the Kolob 74760 isn't the best prime mover. But unlike the Taygas It's not obsolete. It still the most practical choice for moving very heavy cargo in the entire game. The only other options being Derry Special and 963. The special does not weigh quite enough (Not nearly as heavy as 963 and Kolob)but the 963 is so big that sometimes it's to its own detriment.
Thank you so much, your Excellency, for parting with such knowledge so that us plebs may bask in it's greatness! Thanks to you, and only you, I absolutely CANNOT become stuck in any mud, of any depth! Your IQ borders the erotic. Now I may have some wisdom of my own that you could possibly benefit from, if I may. Probably... maybe no, this is a hard definitely... Just never again type the sentence, "While I have figured this out long before everyone else, eventually the rest of (insert group of plebs) caught up too." You pompous, absolute asshat. All I can picture is you eagerly smelling your own farts, like on the Prius episode of South Park. I guarantee you if there's anything worth knowing in a video game, there's TONS of people knowing that thing long before you. This is just about a guaranteed fact. Also, just because you have not seen a video on it, or what have you, yet does not mean that a community is still struggling to catch up to your savant-like knowledge... Perhaps it means that the time it's going to take everyone to make a video, or post a comment or thread, along with the time it takes for you to then see these posts and know of their existence, there's a gap that you're not accounting for when pulling such an egregious claim out of your rear end. And last, I don't care if you WERE the absolute first person in the entire damn world to know something in a video game is good... Announcing it is just crying out, "please pat my back! Look, watch me pat my back! Ohh yeah! Feels sooo good! You pat my back now too!" I mean, if I asked the question, "who can come up with the douchiest sentence I've ever seen?" I'd certainly pat your back like you're wanting, you'd win that one. However nobody *has* asked that question... Smh...
I agree with you on the Paystar, it should have been mentioned, however I would not call the Vorons or Tayga obsoletes, they are still among the best trucks with great performance.
@@Danko05 I do agree that the Vorons and Taygas aren't obsolete. They are objectively still good but nowhere near the best in my opinion. For deep terrain there's the 605r. Or the Mack Defense assuming there isn't broken ice. For light and or medium terrain the CT681 is utterly superior. And the HX520 is a better option too unless the mud and/or snow is especially deep. Especially with that new tire pack. (After testing I've learned that most of the time it's not even that it's getting stuck it just moves so much more slowly than those off-road trucks) And yet with all that said I still almost completely agree with you. I think the real point is that they're no longer one of the best like they used to be. More like lower mid these days.
Voron AE is still the best truck in the game. Its ability to hold gear during hill climbs and float over a lot of the mud means any task you can think of, I'll finish it faster in the AE. By using 70% throttle it's more efficient than most trucks too, negating the smaller tank. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but I'm entitled to think you're crazy.
As a Canadian, I feel unrepresented in the snowrunner youtube scene. Creators with a similar accent to mine use miles and gallons. The youtubers that use the same units as me sound very different from me. Half and half in this country. Going down to the tire centre.
I have had the Mack Def for awhile, but I hadn't really used it till recently. I was surprised how well it did towing in the snowy region I was in. I really enjoyed it.

Also, knowing what types of turns the twinsteer just can't do- that's part of it.
nice video now i know what to play keep going 👍👍
Mack? Great truck. All the advantages of an 8x8 and the agility of a 6x6 + active suspension.
KRS gets knocked back by its small capacity fuel tank
Bandits fuel range holds it back. Though agree on then others. The Crocodile is almost too powerful with best engine, always on duel set, and so. It can handle some bad conditions for a small truck
Bandit falls over on straight road. Crocodile can take only 1 item. Kolob is super slow.
But crocodile is mine favourite truck in this game.
@@Lyxyr yeah, great fuel support truck though, I've had it manage to keep up with my friends Marstadon.
@@Lyxyr Kolob is super slow but super steady
Happy new year, agree with Ken and zik bros, you mention all trucks I use to play. Usa trucks for refuel/repair mobile stations.
605 is usually my refuel/repair truck. It's a 6 slot truck(8 if you use the super heavy, but I never do) so it's not as useful as some for cargo runs.
Keep on Trucking 🚚🚛🚙🛻
I am so surprised to see Twinsteer on this last. I get the bed, but it is one of the most challenging and unstable to drive.
Forgot the Step 310E , one of the most economical truck, best suited for 5 slot trailer but can do other roles with ease, paystar 5070, 2070
دمت گرم 🌹👑
You forgot International loadstar 1700.
True, but you can winch a fuel trailer with the Tatarin all over, it won't even notice it is pulling a trailer.
Attach a fuel tanker to the Yar and then winch it with the Tatarin

Hello from 🇮🇷
Forgot Klad.
(Xpadder needed to make it work)
Changes the game to a new level ;). And makes Trucks like the Femm a real favorite.
Changing gears with wheel can be a bit diffucult without the shifter and Xpadder. No idea why they made it so stupid...
I did set the gears on the Numpad ;). Guess works for keyboard players too.
Great video. I had to watch at 1.5x speed though.
How do you overload?
Unfortunately Kenworth doesn't have chains, rendering it difficult to use in snow maps due to icy roads. I find the Zikz 612 is of more use in winter terrain. But if it works for you, drive your own favourite. 😎
mastodon and kenny should switch spots

Derry Special cannot attach trailers woth the water tank addon!
Thanks!
oH! well fun fact im currently saving up for the number 10 truck!
derry special can flip but it’s not tippy with mudtires
Azov 64131 is the best Bro
Tray to watch it and remplace then in yr list 😊
Remember guys it’s just a opinion and could give you ideas of other trucks you can use . You use whatever trucks gets the job done and works for you
Yeah, the Kenworth is useless to me, not if you get the Wanderer Engine and the Advanced Gearbox, but the Tatra Phoenix is a Beast for me
@@MALIPIRATE Really? I use it as my main fuel supply truck. It has its difficults with deep mud. But for pure offroad/road it could be a good ootion.
On the other hand. The Mack Defence with its independend and active suspension beats alot of trucks.
Especially since its road gear has an additional low - . So you are fast, can handle the most difficult terrain and even the deepest mud wont stop you.
Does the TUZ 16 Ataceon still have the ability to attach saddle low? If it does, it's essentially the best vehicle for doing nearly anything (because of the autonomous winch)
The best like huge truck is the gwc Goliath its good it has power full engine gos through mud like nothing and can pull alot
Tatarin doesent float? In 1:1^it is a amphibious vehicle the rear "flap" cover a jet boat drive.
Он ДОЛЖЕН плавать, но разработчики не смогли (или не сочли нужным) добавить эту возможность
I definitely disagree with the Kenwood
What about the pacifics? In real life you could put a fully loaded logging truck on it or 3 loads of logs at once....
What about FEMM 37-AT? I unlocked it recently and yes - it packs 4 slots, but the steering is a nightmare (in my opinion).
Extream unstable.
Guess you play the game with Keyboard?
With controller or Wheel its easy to handle.
(Thrustmaster T GT II, Load Cell Pedals and TH8 Shifter with Xpadder. (Gears bound to numpad;))
But right... You need to be a bit carefull or it tips. And together with Kenworth 963 its one of the difficult vehicles to recover due to its weight
Hi. Do you play hard mode? :))) Most of best trucks here are wortless addonwise, furel consumption or both.
Cant be hardmode. Cause then he would have included the Mack Defence.
8x8 with great independend and active suspension, powerfull but economical. And its road gear set includes an additional low - gear for deepest mud.
So its fast too.
How did you manage to pack your load on the roof in Azov at 9:35?😮
You don't feel any difference with mud in the Kenworth because it's so damn slow. Put a hill infront of it and it's useless. Was cool for a bit but I've quickly forgotten about it.
try using the stock tires for it on hill climbs, the muds have to much traction and it cant overpower the friction
And getting the active suspension is pain...
nice dadash
The modded Pacific p16 is it for me. It outworks the 963 10 times out of 10
Snowrunner keeps crashing for me. Have they fixed it yet?
it would be nice to know at the start of the video that 8 out of 10 trucks in the list are DLC.
Good guide
First of all thank you for this great video!
As I went through the first maps I wanna stack goods now as well to make the singleplayerlife easier.
How do you stack the concreteplates? is it an option in the menu or are they just supported by the crane being on top of them?
They're all manually stacked, unpacked, the crane is winched to the bottom one and they're pulled taut against the crane.
@@AtomizerX Oh I see. Thats straight up smart haha. Thank you for your help, appreciate it!
@@panther-nk2hn
I did stuff like this too.
Voron AE has a unique winch point on the front axle that makes it the best truck to winch tow, like a powered trailer.
Man it hurts that zikz 605r isn’t the goat of SR anymore
Just started SR and I don’t have any of these trucks - pain.
When you get enough get the Azov 8x8. Fuel efficient and goes awesome out of the shop.
Go to lake kovd and grab AWD for mh9500. It's super easy, I grab it the moment I get the first garage. You can buy a/t tires for Chevy scout instantly. Super easy route in lake kovd
Don't worry, the fleetstar can carry you really far. It will do crane + bed + trailer and is plenty capable and stable.
how do you grab more then a 1 concrete slab bundle with the crane ???
stack the slabs, enter CRANE MODE, select the LOWER slab! you will be lifting the lower slab and the other ones will be balancing over it.... PRECARIOUS SITUATION, but doable...
@@thz123 thx
I think both big ziks trucks are without doubt the best in the game, and I think I understand the reasoning behind choosing KW963 as no.1
Playing with ziks is extremely boring in all honestly, they make the game way too easy, there's not once where I was like "Oops I picked up the wrong truck for this job"
with kenworth its still very capable truck but there are some difficulties especially with ascending and I think that make it more interesting, beside that it looks amazing, has nice addons and engine / exhaust sounds is awesome!
All I drive is the kenworth 963 I got 5 of them my buddy hates me cause he can’t tell what ones his any more
I throw mine in Low + and let it eat hills are tough to a point but I get it over but how will it does in every thing else makes up for it and there ain’t much it won’t pull over I can carry 2 scouts when scouting on the oil bed
Should have the names of the trucks in the doobly doo or comments
ZiKZ 612H - лучшая машина (да - есть много топлива, да - не поворотливая), но прёт как танк.
Where is KRS 58 "Bandit" ?
Can you tell us what regions these trucks are in?
How do you stack them concrete slabs like in the video?
Crane
Can you stack more cargo than trucks are designed for like this on xbox or is it only on PC.
You can do it on all devices Xbox Playstation etc
@@rakhshindamusheer8347 how?
using the crane to stack cargo on flatbed then using same crane to hold down the load . there are several examples of overloading in the video. overloaded cargo is not packed to bed @@Bigtinycrawler

In in my opinion azov 7 is 5th derry special is 4th kenworth is 3rd zikz 612h is 2nd and 1st is zikz 605r
Btw. I play the game with Thrustmaster T GT II, load cell pedals and the TH8 Shifter (xpadder to remap and then bound the gears to the numpad)
I guess the fine gear set is for people who play this game on keyboard?
Couldnt find another use for it.
I like seeing how much difrent my top 5 is compared to most

@@select20 I dunno guys why you are arguing. Ziks 612H is just a better truck if you don't mind slower speed.
You can comfortably haul more cargo with 963 vs 612. 612 is more useful than the 605 tho. Not arguing, that's my opinion. 963 was my main workhorse in Amur. I even bought a second
sounds like a skill issue
They all can have a trailer. Take off the crane.

Zikz and Kenworth definitely need to be swapped, he is not worthy of first place.

(After testing I've learned that most of the time it's not even that it's getting stuck it just moves so much more slowly than those off-road trucks)
And yet with all that said I still almost completely agree with you. I think the real point is that they're no longer one of the best like they used to be. More like lower mid these days.
Herman I figured it out about a week before you did. I was the first. You and everyone else copied me. I am the ultimate player.
This dude carrying 3 missions on his trucks hahahahahaha
Mob browser is mit working on my game for like 2 weekas, someone with the same prob?
As a Canadian, I feel unrepresented in the snowrunner youtube scene. Creators with a similar accent to mine use miles and gallons. The youtubers that use the same units as me sound very different from me.
Half and half in this country. Going down to the tire centre.
