I'd also like to add that those exploding balls Moon Presence has aren't really meant to deal a lot of damage or be super dangerous. it's just that when you're hit by them you can't use your blood vials for a certain period of time. combined with the attack that leaves you at 1hp, you might be a little screwed if you're not at least a little careful.
If you run into one of those balls after being hit with the 1hp attack, honestly you deserve to take the L. You have enough time after the 1hp attack to heal to full, go to the kitchen, make a sandwich, come back, and get a head start on next year's taxes before moon presence becomes sentient again and attacks you.
@joaogomes9405 dude. If you got hit by one of those after the 1hp attack you'd die. The comment is talking about if you were already affected by the no heal balls, and then moon presence does the 1hp attack. Your only only way of healing your health back would be rally. But without the burial blade or rally gems/runes you wouldn't have enough time to heal to full unless maybe you were right next to her when she casts it.

This may be one of my favorite Bloodborne challenges I've seen. You didn't use any of the gamebreaking strategies that other creators tend to abuse (Chalice echoes from custom dungeon, blood cocktail against Blood Starved Beast, etc.), you allowed (most) of the bosses to actually fight and allowed the challenge to be well... a challenge, on top of that you weaved a wonderful narrative through it all, Great work!
If you want to make BSB easier, you can throw a Pungent Blood Cocktail in a corner which allows you to attack with impunity. Also, you can skip Djura by shooting him ~5 times until he falls off the tower. Also, using papers and Beast Blood Pellets dramatically increase your damage, making most bosses light work.
@@Fool408 It's not exactly fun to watch though, I must admit. I love that this challenge actually had the bosses being fought instead of stunlocked to oblivion. (Aside from Micolash)
I remember spending so much time on that one Amygdala boss in the chalice dungeon. Remember starting at night and beating at the morning. My friend started playing bloodborne way later when the dlc was already a thing. I asked him how was that boss and he said it was one of the easiest fights. Was so confused until he told me he uses that bow. I felt a bunch of emotions after learning about the bow, I never used it 😅
I've been doing somewhat similar challenge run myself and I found it way easier to conserve you initial large pool of QS bullets by using blood bullets during the initial and easier boss fight phases so you dont need to take unnecessary risks later on by summoning blood bullets which loses you health and also only yields 5 bullets. Its so much more convenient to launch into Orphan of Kos second phase having your entire pool of 20 unused QS bullets which you can theoretically spam uninterrupted and without temporary compromising your freedom of movement/health to get another 5 bullets.
The simple way to Soulsborne/Sekiro: Never think, just do. The more your brain is in control, the more likely you are to overthink or panic. If you aren't letting your subconscious do the work, your odds of making a mistake are high. Once you make one mistake, it's usually downhill from there unless you remain calm.
For future bullet only runs the caretaker in oedon chapel drops a +3 bullet rune on death, and if you walk to the entrance of Gascoigne's arena and back with it still on the ground, it dupes the rune. Do that twice and you basically start the run with 29 bullets. Really impressive as always though Lemon, love your content!
Always makes me happy to see another Backlogs video. Love your content. No matter the mood I'm in I know I will at least have a single video length worth of joy to look forward to. Keep up the great job
My friend wanted to platinum the game and honestly some of my favorite memories were us going through the game. Being a support archer on massive bosses like the abhorrent beast was awesome
22:45 the Micolash Cheese also involves something similar. When he jumps through the first mirror at the top of the stairs, if you go to the balcony, you can just shoot him to death. Sometimes he'll "reset" and come out of the mirror again but he'll never enter the actual phase 2 area where the door shuts behind him.
Hey Lemon, have you considered using the playstation cloud save option? I believe it would minimize the amount of consumables you need to grind for. You would only have to prepare a good stock once per boss. I used to cloud save to roll back when i was experimenting with chalice dungeon codes, there are some that softlock your save.
Have you considered the the cummmfpk dungeon? You can get upwards of 80k blood echos by walking forward, this is what I used to avoid grinding for items
Hey Lemon! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC run, loved watching it, you taught me something new about the Bowblade with that Curse gem trick! Little tidbit for any future runs - it is 100% possible to get a +9 weapon after Vicar Amelia and the Witches of Hemwick, so a total 3 bosses without Cleric or BSB, 5 with. 1 in the Woods after the first shortcut, guarded by 3 snake-heads 5 in Cainhurst (3 on the route, 2 from a scurring madnesa) 6 in the DLC before Ludwig (2 from a scurry beast near lamp 2, 2 from a scurry beast near the cave before the miniboss BSB, 2 in the minibus cave) 4 in Nightmare frontier (2 each from 2 large scurrying madnesses, one after the 1st winter lantern and one in the poison pools before Amygdala) Totals exactly 16, which is exactly enough for 1 +9 weapons or two +8 weapons. Keep on breaking this game, I'll keep on watching. I'm with you, this game is way better rhan Elden Ring.
Skill/Bloodtinge is my favourite build in Bloodborne and the Bowblade one of my most used weapons in it. I love that thing so much, so seeing it as the focus of a challenge run makes me very happy.
I'm frankly shocked that you haven't done any glitch skips for this game in the entire time you've played it considering they're like, an obligation for soulslike challenge runners.

I have done this challenge years ago. Pretty fun and really does change up the rules of what you can do since the bow is slower than the guns and with the charge attack being more needed towards the end game. Without the normal gun buffs items you can use, they don't work with the bow. Another way to get the bow without killing the NPC is to go into the chalice dungeons but it does require one boss to be killed/cheesed with wall hacks.
I relate so much to what you said about bosses just not clicking, but it also goes in reverse too. I’m playing bloodborne for the first right now and was so worried for the Maria fight but I nailed it on my second try ,but I can’t even get past Lawrence. After my first attempt where I almost won I can’t even get him to his second phase anymore.
I recently found this channel and I always come back, rewatch old challenges and wait for new ones. The videos aren't hours long and isn't full-blown livestreams. Idk this is my bread and butter.
You could have done a lot more damage if you tapped into the Chalice Dungeons. The false depth systems get you the best runes right almost right after BSB, and great blood gems too. Physical/Blood damage gems: rz2xju5h (radials) + 258eatgn (triangle), Communion 5 + Formless Oedon 5: xc284ugx bonus rooms, Clockwise Metamorphosis 3: jgn2jkkw second bonus room, Infinite Blood Echoes: cummmfpk
I had fun doing a bow blade only run, myself (though not just the bow, you mad-lad). I'm surprised you didn't use the bow's switch attack (dodge + L1 out of sword), its doesnt even use the sword at all - it let's you shoot an arrow and dodge at the same time, very helpful.
I love how the important boss that's basically the center of the story is out of place and no one hardly knows about it, the Moon Presence is a re tooled design from a boss called Garden of Flora it was to be a three staged boss each stage getting more damaged each stage the one in the final game is the second stage and the one that was found in the chalice dungeon that's unfinished is the third stage, it was to be found in a map called the Great Mud Lake basically the same map as in the chalice dungeon.

I felt a bunch of emotions after learning about the bow, I never used it 😅
A little coffee for the road. Always love a good Bloodborne run!
Always appreciated :) Thanks, Gibz!
8:30 you guys can let your instincts take over????
It's the only proper way to play bloodborne
The simple way to Soulsborne/Sekiro: Never think, just do. The more your brain is in control, the more likely you are to overthink or panic. If you aren't letting your subconscious do the work, your odds of making a mistake are high. Once you make one mistake, it's usually downhill from there unless you remain calm.
10:31 gwanted
cool to see this weapon actually get used before lategame!
Ah yes, the latest entry in "Lemony Backlogs Series of Unfortunate Weapons"
For future bullet only runs the caretaker in oedon chapel drops a +3 bullet rune on death, and if you walk to the entrance of Gascoigne's arena and back with it still on the ground, it dupes the rune. Do that twice and you basically start the run with 29 bullets.
Really impressive as always though Lemon, love your content!
Always makes me happy to see another Backlogs video. Love your content. No matter the mood I'm in I know I will at least have a single video length worth of joy to look forward to. Keep up the great job
Oh boy, that looks like claw next! I would also love to see a cauliflower tentacle run...
How did someone gave you the weapon? I thought that wasnt possible?
Me too. I'm searching the comments for the answer.
He didn't "give" him the weapon, JKleads probably just edited a save so he could have it and use it (cause JK does a lot of save editing)
That final shot against MP with it’s hand reaching out but with an arrow through it was a PERFECT shot.
4:26 CURSE YOU BAYYYYYYYLEEE
My friend wanted to platinum the game and honestly some of my favorite memories were us going through the game. Being a support archer on massive bosses like the abhorrent beast was awesome
Great vid, have you ever thought about a beast-mode only run?
The gravity rush sound track in the beginning is great! Bringing back memorys just from one song
Backlogs never disappoints
1 in the Woods after the first shortcut, guarded by 3 snake-heads
5 in Cainhurst (3 on the route, 2 from a scurring madnesa)
6 in the DLC before Ludwig (2 from a scurry beast near lamp 2, 2 from a scurry beast near the cave before the miniboss BSB, 2 in the minibus cave)
4 in Nightmare frontier (2 each from 2 large scurrying madnesses, one after the 1st winter lantern and one in the poison pools before Amygdala)
Totals exactly 16, which is exactly enough for 1 +9 weapons or two +8 weapons.
Keep on breaking this game, I'll keep on watching. I'm with you, this game is way better rhan Elden Ring.
How does your storytelling keep getting better? Holy shit, the arc on this video was crazy, love to see it.
I love the way lemon tells a story and the GoT reference at the end is just the best ... or was it a beginning
Do not doubt the ferocity of a child who has lost its mother. For not all children are infants. And love's revenge is an apocalyptic flame for which there is neither quench nor escape.
Holy shit this comment actually goes hard as hell!
wtt r u talkin about cuh
Don't cut yourself on all that edge
9:25 he has the aptitude to be part of the fire bomb academy
Wait... how can you give weapons?
I did this as part of a "dark souls" only run (bow, mlgs, loch shield, cainhurst set)
Was alot of fun
"I don't have time to grind vitality!!!"
"Oh but I do have time to do the chalice dungeons."
Watched the Beast Claw only run, was pleasntly surprised.
came over here becasue it was on my recomended page quite a few times, similar result.
Love the effort of actually wrting a character arch into theses runs! Makes them feel diffrent outside of just the challange itself.
So someone else can just give you the weapon? Is that a glitch or what? I didn't think blood borne had multi player
... He probably made a mod that let him get it
Bloodborne has multiplayer
Bloodborne has the typical Co-Op and Invasion multiplayer.
The game without multiplayer is Sekiro.
@@Joural0401it's incredibly hard to mod Bloodborne due to it being a console exclusive, plus he literally shows JKLeeds giving him the bow
Bloodborne has multiplayer
I am so glad lemon is back to bloodborne runs as it's my favourite but not many unused ideas for runs
"Curse you" mentioned????
I love when you get all narrative n stuff for your runs, gives folks a whole other reason to enjoy them
1:43 you can take a break man, no need to push your self on the work side as well as the challenge side!
Insert pedantic comment
Psst….”Can you Actually One Shot Any Boss in Salt and Sanctuary?”
Would be very interesting to see which ones and how. 🤷🏻♂️ keep up the great content!
Frieza did it
I actually enjoyed the video a lot, since I don't usually watch long videos this one kept me watcking it thorogh. Beside of the skills and funny content you presented in the video, I felt a sense of sadness along with fulfilness at the end and I presume that Bloodbonre is the only game which no matter how you beat it, it makes you to think about what you have been through all this journey. thanks for the videos Blacky
That ending is such a tease for a NG+ run! I'm excited!
Simon's Bowblade is my favorite weapon in any Fromsoft game, idk why I love it so much. Very unique
The little stories he adds are always funny. Madness creeped in. Deeper and deeper into the madness
24:45 The fact that I was spooning into my face the last bit of an entire box of Kraft deluxe the moment you said this was not okay
I see Bloodborne, I watch. It’s that simple.
But I love your sense of humor as well. So bonus.
Before even watching the vid i can say YES, done it some time ago as a full fledged bow build and it was pretty interesting.
The arrow sticking through the Moon Presence's outstretched hand at the end was a cool coincidental touch.
Ive learned something today.

The Witches of Hemwick are vulnerable from behind and can be pumped full of damage with backshots. 👍
something i think lemon should look into is like walk-through-esque videos, but in his normal style. like sometimes if im just stuck on one part of something i dont want 3 videos explaining the one area, i just want a small little bit to see someone else do it. and the only person i know of who is thorough enough and quick enough for that is lemon.
