Wow, so glad I watched your video ❤ The things you made are super cool. Another thing am so grateful for is that you made me realise that am not going crazy. I love sewing so I went on to explore branding and customising stuff. So I discovered vinyl and heat pressing, in the process I stumbled across wood burning crafts and glass etching and now am kinda confused and overwhelmed about what I really want 😂

Thank you for this video. My craft is sewing. I have 2 etsy shops. My oldest shop is bags and accessories that I sew. My 2nd shop I sell sewing and craft supplies. I got a scan n cut machine about 5 years ago mainly to cut fabric appliques with. I never really got into making much with vinyl to sell just for myself and gifts. The main reason was because my money was going into puchasing fabric and I didnt want to have to buy a bunch of different color vinyl. Fast forward to today. I have a bunch of vinyl now that I really should start using up. 😅

With putting holographic vinyl on the tumbler do you seal it with anything? I did a test and made one for myself...The holographic HTV didn't stick to the tumble. Any thoughts.
Love all you ideas and helpful hints, my question is, on your tumblers you mentioned putting a sealer over the vinyl, Can i ask what you used ? i have made the Yeti coolies for myself but never put a sealer on them. thank you
I meant to say burnish the cup(rub firmly) not varnish, my mistake. Vinyl doesn’t need any coating!

I came to the comments with the same question! Sallie, do you mean "Burnish" the vinyl well on the cup or do you use some kind of spray or paint on "Varnish"? I was wondering if you sealed the vinyl with some kind of varnish.

Thank you so much! No I do not seal them! I used the wrong wording in this video. When I said “varnish” the cups, I meant burnish. 😊

Hi Sallie!! I love your video's and I'm going thru them to watch as you have really useful information! Thank you! So - I do vinyl (shirts, signs, home decor, etc.), sublimation (tumblers, shirts), and im close to purchasing a laser cutter machine. I feel like my techniques are really good now and people love my stuff. I've been doing things for free but DESPERATELY want to sell (I feel like I was meant to do this!). Ideas aren't a problem, making things isn't a problem - so as im watching this video, and you are saying you 'couldn't keep your tumblers on the shelves' -- what platform did you use to sell? Was yours word of mouth? (My babies are older now and out of college) Facebook marketplace? Etsy? I need to market and have no idea where to start. But before I ask for time off, do you think it is possible doing this kind of vinyl cutting, for signs for example (or burning words on wood), to make $200 per day profit before taxes on Etsy and how log it might take working 8 hrs per day to get up to that volume? I am nervous to make the change but so motivated to do so. I appreciate your help.

Sorry I meant to say to burnish the vinyl so nothing needs to be applied over it! Vinyl needs to breathe so it’ll crack or bubble over time if you apply anything over it
