A jumper properly instructed enters their spring with proper mechanics conditioning. This includes specialized motor coordinated with physiological conditioning (speed & strength). An athlete’s motor, muscular strength and horizontal momentum entering the conversion phase define approach step length ratios and take-off angular alignment in relation to the crossbar. During the flight phase of the penultimate step a jumper has reasonable knowledge of the success or failure of the following jumping effort. The jump and bar clearance occur that fast dependent upon the athlete’s level of motor development!
great video, I'm about 5 ' 3 and I can get the height using a ramp and get about 5'4 but without using the track ramp I can't get very high, but the tips in this will definitely help me a lot thank you.
