It was you, Alear! You were the Fire Emblem Engage all along!
Oh, I'm gonna, I'm gonna engage! Oh, I'm engaging!
"IT WAS ME! I WAS THE TURKEY ALL ALONG!"
"*GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE*"
I can't fucking believe the title drop meme is real here. There's definitely someone out there who jokingly went "I AM the Fire Emblem!" and then got to this point and was like "WAIT, I WAS RIGHT??"
It was actually really well foreshadowed when you see Marth go from having blue to red hair 😅 So at least there is an in-universe explanation for Alear's hair colour
@@agromchung There is an in-universe explanation for Alear's hair colour, but that isn't it.
Alear was originally had just red hair being a Fell Dragon. When Alear died 1000 years prior, Lumera had imparted her Divine Energy into Alear which turned them into a Divine Dragon thus in-turn changing her hair and eye colour to being half-blue.
That's me alright LMAO
Turns out the real Fire Emblem were the friends we made along the way.
I laughed far more then I should.
@@Soundwave413 ditto xD
No Alear. The True Fire Emblem was within you all along
Lmao
The real fire was the emblem we made engage the way
So Alear used to have red hair only, then they had both red and blue and now they're fully blue.
Lumera basically recruited Alear
That's a long recruitment
You now have 💯 likes!
Lumera managed to pull off something that not even Naga could do basically turning Alear a former fell dragon into a Divine dragon.🤔
Oh, I get it now.
this is fucking brilliant
FE 1, 3 (+ 11 and 12) and 13: The Fire Emblem is a shield used to seal away the Earth Dragons, prevent Degeneration of dragons, defeat Grima, and as a literal shield
FE 4 and 5: The Fire Emblem is a mark of justice. IDK much about this one
FE 6 and 7: The Fire Emblem is a seal to, well, seal Idunn.
FE 8: The Fire Emblem is a stone (later split into two) with the spirit of the Demon King sealed inside it.
FE 9 and 10: The Fire Emblem is a medallion with Yune sealed inside it.
FE 14: The Fire Emblem is the final form of the Yato Blade.
TMS: The Fire Emblem is a song performed to summon Tiki.
FEW: The Fire Emblem is a shield again. This time sealing away Velezark.
FE3H: The Fire Emblem is a Crest created from Sothis's corpse, and grants use of the Sword of The Creator (also made from Sothis's corpse)
FE Engage: The Fire Emblem is **you**
The baby is you remixed as a fe song when
Reminds me of the meme about what each of the Fire Emblems represent, Corrin's "My sword is the Fire Emblem?" will forever be in my head.
Fe4's and 5's Fire Emblem is a basically the equivalent of a crest. More specifically, Sigurd dies to someone who bears the Fire Emblem.
What was the Fire Emblem in FE Gaiden/SoV?
@@erickmaverick3128 I wanna say it was falchion
Now I can't tell what's more OP. Byleth attaining Sothis' power and becoming a god practically, or Alear becoming a physical Emblem after dying three times
Byleth stomps horribly. Being an Emblem is strong but Sothis? She's SHREDDED in Lore
Becoming THE fire emblem
@@abstr4ct_c0nt3nti mean... alear is a god, and dragon to begin with, making her baseline already more op then beyleths end form
@@theonesithtorulethemall Yeah but even characters like Roy have the power to split the continent. I don't think Alear has much else going for them other than raw power. Being the fire emblem doesn't make you a god either since it's technically the same as any other item with divinity.

Alear IS.....the Fire Emblem Engage.
*and then he Engaged all over the place*
Alear engages with.... HERSELF??
No... that's impossible. But this unbelievable power. It could only mean.... that she IS the fire emblem! My fellow emblems, it's time to ENGAAAGGGEEE???
(To the the tune of “Agatha All Along” from WandaVision)
🎵It was Alear all along!🎵
Actually, really, its cool.
@@theorangecandle aw hell yeah, autosexuality
30:43 With how hilariously cheesy this already is, I'm surprised they didn't go the extra mile and said "Engage" to top it off.
That actually is how the game's post-credit scene ends.
You have not played others games? Most FE games have a fire emblem that saves the world.
@@sarthakarora3212 Yato, Binding Shield, Crest of Flames, etc.
@@sarthakarora3212 Or destroy the world, but that one's more rare. Honestly, it's impressive seeing how they can find a way to incorporate the name of the series in the games. I think this was the best reveal of the Fire Emblem in the series because not only is it a cool moment that's been building since the beginning of the game, but the Fire Emblem theme also plays during it.
@@ryandunham1047 yep they include
The final Sacred stone that seals Formiitus in Sacred stones gets named the Fire emblem.
The original which was an shield with the 5 gemstones that made starlight which is in FE1-3 and awakening
The Yato blade in Revalations final form is also called the Fire emblem.
In Tellius it’s the name of the medallion that sealed Yune (or her powers) inside and also awakens Ashera if war breaks out too much
And two of them are imperial seals, in genealogy/Thracia it’s the imperial seal of Velthomer (Arvis’s home)
And in FE6/7 it’s the imperial seal of Bern
Crest of flames for 3H/hopes
The only game it doesn’t exist in is Gaiden which makes sense it’s on an different continent entirely shortly after FE1
This includes spin-offs as TMS it’s the Opera of light is called the Fire emblem and in Warriors it’s pretty much the exact same as FE1 3 and awakening where it’s an shield with 5 gemstones
Congratulations, Alear. You are now officially the Fire Emblem.
lol Alear is literally Corrin 2.0
Good mom that dies early in the game, Dragon Avatar that everyone loves, Evil Dragon Dad who is the main villain, the female character that is important to the plot is related to you
Alear is also like Link from Breath of the Wild. Both are the main protagonist, both were sleeping for eons because they were badly injured, and they have amnesia
And also both having a death/near-death experience after being attacked by a baddie (Garon as a dragon in Birthright, Anankos Takumi in Conquest) before the endgame.
That why I said it fate route disappointed prefer veyle was her future child and they had child mechanic but nope even fates at least children also kind of dowmgrade
Plus Hyacinth, Ivy and Hortensia seem to be based on Garen, Camilla and Elise with small changes. Basically Elusia seems to be based on Nohr.
So Corrin but good
22:16 "Nothing happened." Cue epic guitar riff.
Just reached this scene and that made me laugh way too hard...
I love the moment where Alear said : Its emblemming time and started to emblem everyone. Truly a fire emblem moment
Emblem all over everyone*
I love how the new Protags actually talk full voice lines like Shez. Persona should do this too
Persona 4 arena and Ultimax kinda did.
@@dalaxdercrisper957 He meant the core games, not side games.
Persona is more of a self insert game, so it wouldn't work that way tbh
@@moth7579 Corrin Robin and Byleth were too, Alear is more of her/his own character
@@MementoDespair Regarding FE avatar protagonists, Byleth really got screwed over by not being allowed to have actual dialogue. It almost makes it painful to them actually speaking in Three Hopes because they should have been allowed to do so in Three Houses (I still like Byleth, but they were really done dirty in their own game). I'm glad that FE abandoned that model and allowed Alear to actually be a character.
It's a shame we never got to see Alear and Veyle's dragon form. Alear's dragonstone shattered as seen at 4:54, and in Veyle's wake up support, she said she buried her stone somewhere.
Alear can become a dragon for 29.99 USD.
@@RyanSaysJif hopefully🙏
Veyle can't turn into a dragon. That's why she's labeled a defect. Alear... Well the writers forgot about that whole plotline.
@@postman6553 they didnt forget about it, players just forgot that alear gave their dragonstone to veyle and then it shattered when they died. Maybe in wave 4 of the dlc theyll like reforge the dragonstone or something. Obviously a manakete cant turn into a dragon without a dragonstone in the fire emblem multiverse
@@glitteringgabriel I guess I meant that they teased a dragon plotline with king morion asking about it, and alear wondering if she could, then resulting in nothing.
To lock such a pivotal part of her character behind dlc would be tasteless.
My favorite part is when she says "M-maybe I'm the Fire Emblem Engage all along..."
I guess the real fire emblem was the emblems i engaged with along the way
Hey guys? Maybe if you tried doing something besides standing around Alear wouldn’t have died and you wouldn’t have to worry about Veyle being turned evil again.
What were they gonna do? Also die?
I know! Why are you just standing there. Your friends are dying!
This is the most Fire Emblem moment of all time
Okay i really like the fell Dragon design in this game.....whoever artist is....
The snake dragon is very cool, it reminds me of Apophis

@@artken4901,
Yep. Hakos Baelz of Hololive's Holocouncil. Heck, in fact, when Bae chose to do 'Fire Emblem Engage', Mika made artwork of her in Female Alear's attire!
We should put hero killer trope on Sombron’s folder given that he successfully killed Alear the main protagonist, making him the first main antagonist in fire emblem franchise to actually succeed in killing the main protagonist.
Hey, Arvis didn’t set up a BBQ at Belhalla for Sigurd to not get mentioned!
Forgetting Grima, through Robin, did kill Chrom in the original timeline.
Nevermind, Sombron joins the list of main antagonists who actually succeed in killing the main protagonist, in his case via killing Alear.
Well give him the award to get killed for nothing because he already said "i just want to search my soulmate, i wont destroy your world or other world, just lets be peace and part ways like a civil being" and still get killed 🤣
He was trying to kill veyle though not alear
they said the fire emblem and among us in the same minute
29:26 her hair is just full on blue now
34:42 oh, great, she turned back to normal
Only blue when she engages
That was so disappointing. I wanted her hair to stay fully blue. Reverting back to before completely ruined the moment.
I wouldn't mind if they made another game with this visuals of this one, with a tone similar to Three Houses. The combat felt really good because of the animations.
I HATE how every protagonist was going in release order and then Byleth messed it up
I mean to be fair, Heroes is far from over, so Alfonse couldn’t exactly join right away, heck Veronica is still book 2 Veronica with the visage of book 6. And for Warriors, well there’s not a whole lot to work with there, so maybe it’s doesn’t get a lot of recognition
typical byleth smh
The title has the same energy as “the one piece is real”
I’m sorry but this was the most funniest moment in fire emblem it’s like “ You are fire emblem no cap” and then you just crack up because it reminds you of kingdom hearts with friendship lasting forever
Now she can say "fire emblem, engage" literally
THE FIRE EMBLEM

Veyle is the one antagonist who carries this game. She is to Engage what Edelgard was to Three Houses and what Dimitri was to Three Hopes. The central enemy who gets all the screen time, does all the work and is the coolest among the villains due to being the most fleshed out.
Somebody should be giving those writing teams a raise.
Edelgard is trash, I wish , in three houses and three hopes we could murder all of the three leaders
She's not even a villain, though.

@@Jarock316 That wasn't even really her.
It was sad how the siblings finally realize... and velye has able to break free from the control. Atleast, that's good for protagonist
Not gonna lie, this was probably the best reveal for the Fire Emblem in any game.
FE1, FE3, FE11, FE12, FE13: The Fire Emblem is known as the Binding Shield, which was forged by Naga to seal the Earth Dragons away as well as to prevent Manaketes from degenerating. It was stolen by the thief, Adrah, who sold its gemstones to found the Kingdom of Archanea, unknowingly wearing the seal. The shield itself became a royal treasure. It was later given to
Marth who regained the Gemstones and used it in his fight against Medeus as well as to awaken Tiki.
It was passed down through Marth’s descendants for thousands of years and along with the Falchion, it eventually became a royal treasure of Ylisse. Like the Falchion, it was broken at one point and reforged, but whatever changed isn’t really known. By the time Chrom comes around, the gemstones are distributed across Ylisse and Valm (formerly Valentia).
FE2/FE15: There is no “Fire Emblem” in this game likely because the setting takes place very close to the Archanea games. The Valm arc of Awakening takes place on what used to be Valentia.
FE4, FE5: The Fire Emblem is the crest of the House of Velthomer, home to the descendants of the Crusader Fjalar. Doesn’t serve any real purpose though.
FE6, FE7: The Fire Emblem is the imperial seal of Bern. It’s needed for an heir to legally ascend to the throne of Bern. It is also used to enter the Shrine of Seals, which is where Roy gets the Binding Blade.
FE8: The Fire Emblem is the Sacred Stone of Grado and contains the soul of the Demon King. All the Sacred Stones must be destroyed in order for the Demon King to return.
FE9, FE10: The Fire Emblem is called Lehran’s Medallion. It contains the spirit of the “Dark God.” Later revealed to be Yune, Goddess of Chaos, who was sealed into it by Ashera, Goddess of Order. Touching the medallion can make someone go insane by amplifying their worst aspects. It ended up in the hands of a Daein priestess named Elena, but she was not affected by it because she had a perfect balance of order and chaos. It was later passed down to her daughter, Mist, who shared the same traits.
FE14: The Fire Emblem is the Omega Yato, the final form of Corrin’s sword.
FE16: The Fire Emblem is the Crest of Flames. One of the 22 Crests bestowed on by the Goddess of Fodlan. However, it hasn’t been seen for over a 1000 years since the death of Nemesis, its last bearer. At one point it was discovered that Byleth had a crest, but which crest it was unknown. It was later revealed to be the Crest of Flames after Byleth unleashed the power of the Sword of the Creator.
FE17: The Fire Emblem is Alear. After dying, Alear is resurrected as a Corrupted. However, it didn’t last long and they died again. However this time, all twelve Emblems used their miracle and resurrected them as the 13th Emblem, the Fire Emblem.
FEW: The Fire Emblem is the Shield of Flames. Basically a discount Binding Shield. It is needed to defeat the Chaos Dragon, Velezark. It requires five Gleamstones which are held within five heroes: Marth, Chrom, Corrin, Xander, and Ryoma.
TMS: The Fire Emblem is the Opera of Light, used to summon the Divine Dragon, Naga. It is the counter to the Opera of Shadows, used to summon the Shadow Dragon, Medeus.
We don't know what the Fire Emblem is in Heroes, but it's implied to be Breidablik - a mystical artifact that opens paths between worlds and can be combined with things from adjacent lands (the Rite of Frost, Angrboða's Heart) to give it new properties in much the same fashion as the Yato. It is also associated with five orbs of different colors, similar to the Binding Shield and its gemstones.
So in the end we were truly Fire Emblem Engage™ all along?
So Alear went from a Fell Dragon, to a half-dead Revenant (sock puppet of a spirit) of Lumera's will to see her alive, to a fully-undead Revenant of Veyle's will to see her alive, to (through the Emblems) a dubiously-dead Revenant of her own will to see herself alive.
Like Byleth, but with extra steps, and making a bit more sense. xD
Like Byleth, but not garbage.

29:18 okay am i not the only one who heard the Mario galaxy title theme right?
Does this make Alear the new face of FE? Think about it, Alear is THE Fire Emblem even amongst all the other protagonists, damn
Keep in mind that if Awakening didn’t succeed, this game would have never been a thing. So this could mean a new age for Fire Emblem.
Three Houses Fire Emblem's is Byleth's blood, so technically he is the Fire Emblem of sorts in that game. I dont think Alear being the "Fire Emblem" is really that revolutionary
@@insertenombreoriginal5897 so is Edelgard. Every game has their own version of the Fire Emblem.

If they made a script where they actually said Alear's name so much, they should not have made the name changeable, so the VAs can actually say the name.
Or at least bother to replace the name with anything else in the script instead of letting it hang.
The name changes depending in what you choose. Everyone chooses to name the character Alear.
Fallout 4 had a good alternative.
Some names where supported by voice over (only by one character though) and others where replaced with the more generic Sir/Madam.
It would have been a nice touch if anyone who named the Avatar "Alear" (me) would get the name voiced.
@@HimboImpulse please tell me you're not so dumb that you didn't understand what i said.
I actually wouldn't mind if they called the character Alear in voice acting. I think removing the awkward *insert name here* pauses in voice acting outweighs the need to name your character "toothpaste chan" or "Alear1", especially since the character has a canonical name that will be referenced in future media. If they need a name for online services, they can use the nintendo account.
Fire Emblem Lords that ended up dead (regardless of whether or not they got revived):
-Celica in the Echoes remake of Gaiden (stabbed by Alm wielding the Valentian Falchion, but was revived shortly after by Mila’s soul)
-Sigurd from Genealogy of the Holy War (he and his army got framed for war crimes and then got burned by Arvis and his forces)
-Chrom from Awakening (in the original timeline, before Lucina’s time traveling shenanigans, by the Grima-possessed Avatar)
-Corrin (kinda) in the Birthright and Conquest versions of Fates (after getting attacked by Garon’s dragon form in the former and Anankos Takumi in the latter, sending them into near death experiences seeing some of the dead characters)
-Alear (first by being shot in the gut by Sombron 1000 years earlier before confirming whether or not he was completely dead - causing them to go into a millennium long revival nap, second by taking an attack for Veyle and dying from severe wounds before being eventually brought back as a revenant Corrupted, and then third by running out of juice after re-summoning the Emblems while being a revenant Corrupted, but was revived shortly after by the Emblem Heroes performing The Miracle, making Alear a living Emblem - The Fire Emblem).

The fact that Alear turning into Emblem being a special, one time only deal made it feels... Meh to me. Like, I'd like it better if becoming an Emblem does not require being the chosen one and all you need to do is just revive a dead hero with necromancy and binding them into rings.
Imagine Veyle and Alear both freaking out because they expected a mindless zombie but instead got a full blown heroic spirit because Veyle unknowingly perfected her necromancy. And then the other Emblems just out and said "Well yeah duh, that's how you make an Emblem Ring. How do you think we were created?" That'd be a huge "Damn when you put it that way it makes perfect sense" moment for me.
Even though the other Emblems make it explicitly clear multiple times that they aren't the original heroes and instead are representations of their heroic spirits?
Becoming an Emblem doesn't require being the chosen one, or else Ike wouldn't be one. Instead it seems to require having had such a profound effect on their world of origin that their spirit is immortalized as a hero that other worlds can draw upon for hope and inspiration.
Plus, Alear didn't become an emblem because they were the chosen one
They became an emblem because the other emblems wished it so. They have that ability and they could've used it on anyone, but they used it on Alear for what they had done up to this point, and what they meant to the world and to them
Hold up so the Emblems just straight up lied about the whole 1000 years thing and just didn't wanna help others
