But it is a twist to find out everyone in this world are Corrupted besides the main characters of this DLC.

Nil/Rafal's past resemble the story from the Okami main quest. One of the missing canine warriors was unable to return to its home village because it made a promise to a dying dog which happened to be the same breed to protect the owner's son
I find it hilarious that the four winds stole the spotlight for this DLC. I was more invested in them than anything else.
I mean, kind of makes sense when the entire game was way too over-saturated in mirror shenigans:
-World map same just `flipped`.
-Twins not being Twins despite looking like Twins, despite also still being Sombron`s children still, which should imply they are twins still technically. Which just straight up Mirror`s Alear and Veyle as the siblings that were `only Fell dragons left alive.`
-Mirror gag with Everyone was just corrupted besides conveniently the DLC `returning` characters, but they lack the standard signs of being corrupted, with it being a `stretch` they didnt have Alear`s shenigan to have actual sentience yet had no issue wanting to go after each other.
-Literally having Mauvier perish in the Xenologue as opposed to the main story, with Zelestia `loving the winds as her family` compared to Zephia who was so obsessed for a `actual family`, she didn`t see the hounds as family.
-Gather the `dragon balls` to zippie doo grant me power yet again, cept they just went with a stock image then an actual animation.
-Now we got THREE Fell-dragons who have the exact same look, besides being a different color, anyone else remember when characters actually got transformations unique to them, even if its just different fur/scale/etc. patterns instead of a palette swap?
Certainly makes me glad i didnt buy the DLC, im still enjoying Cross-Code after beating the game yesterday and starting the Post-game DLC, which altogether cost 30 bucks, certainly more fun for the dollar then a story that comes off even weaker then the main story somehow, even if thar is some `heart touching moments.`, if it wasn`t ruined by a few cheesy convoluted ways to make twists to a story without needing to put any additional assets into it.
@@BladeSerph Complaining that the DLC didn't use "actual animation" is a stupid complaint when Cindered Shadows did the same thing. Especially when they're smaller campaigns so using good looking CG artwork is a non issue, this game is lacking in 2D art too so-

God, the lines from the corrupted royals hurt me so much.
Especially Alfred it seems he still had some control and was fighting the corruption.
Sucks that we don't get to have Alear turn into a dragon. But at least the last map was challenging.

1. Lucina on any dagger unit
2. Attack with draconic hex for those lowered stats
3. Keep attacking with everyone for 3 10% dagger dual strikes
4. Use liberation to beat him to a pulp
5. Dance with seadall and byleth
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until dead

Yes
Sort of? Not quite sure if he killed everyone himself or some died by other means, but yes he did revive everyone we fight in Xenolouge as Corrupted puppets to serve his own plans

Hey so im kinda having a hard time with the final chapter, any advice on defeating Nill?
I don't know why, but Nil seems to only start taking damage when he goes to the final platform. My main way of taking him out was Kagetsu engaged with 3 Houses Emblem max rank spamming fallen star and ahredbar. A few dances and turns later he went down.
@@clintwaki6936 he fell sigils he stands on before the last one have a special effect that reduces damage and crit by 50
What is the music called for when alear finds out the people in alt world are dead?

Just lost my first attempt at this map, about 2/3 of the way through and 2.5 hours into playing it on hard mode. I am deeply worried about anyone attempting on Maddening

@@HZConqueror Rafal/Nil is a mandatory deploy in the xenologue; and his stats are terrible. He'll legit get one-rounded by every enemy that approaches him, even on hard mode. He's an active liability the whole time, and you can't bench him.

Ok I'm running into a prob here my difficulty says it's on normal but it hard as hell for me to beat nil. Do you have to take out Hortensia and Fogodo to weaken him?
yes, you're not supposed to defeat Nil with just Nel. Use the other available characters and work through the map

I just equipped Celica onto Nel and warp ragnaroked to the party. Nil had to run a marathon across the whole map to reach me
How come the opposite version of the hounds are the only ones with different names I guess it's not impossible persay but I guess it would be a bit more work but I'd imagine it would be like characters who look the same but have different colors and names but I'm fine with what we got I guess...
That's in spoiler territory if you didn't watch the video. It's explained why everyone are the same people through the dlc, but this specific sequence explains why.

the last map looks so much easier on normal. on hard you have to kill the royals 2 times while trying to advance forward and some of them are easy to kill like fogado but than timera shows up and just walls your whole team if you go the other route and when nill appears you only get a short window to get from that island to the other. i had a bissy few weeks so i haven't been able to finish the chapter yet or try a different route maybe it's easier to just go straight for the left side and ignore the right side idk if it works as well in hard but might as well try.
Man. I tried last map in maddening and your right. Going to the right side isn’t a good idea. I spent like 5 hours on this map and all my units got killed because of overwhelming infinite reinforcements
Feel free to start doing xenologue right after you unlock Yunaka, but fair warning that ch 5 is the hardest one of them all without lapis, Citrinne, and Alcryst. Beat ch 7 if you get stuck on xenologue 5 normal mode.
I beat chapter 5 in maddening without Yunaka, Citrine and Alcryst. All units may be useful. And the final map is the hardest btw.
I hardly even touched any of those three. I got through Ch5 just fine without them. Yunaka, Pannette, and Ivy were my hard carries.
I'm unsure how time works : 1000 years in the alternate universe is like minutes in original one ??
That is part of a theory that says that time moves much faster in one universe but it seems like normal time to us. So essentially 1000 to Nel and Rafal is just a few minutes to Alear and crew.

Time passing at different rates doesn't make sense when we know the Emblem bracelets ended up on our Elyos before Alear is summoned to alternate Elyos.
Like, you can get all seven Emblem bracelets before even starting the Xenologue, and you can use them in the DLC chapters (you can have Soren VS Soren, Chrom VS Chrom and so on), and according to Rafal's bond C with Camilla, the Emblem bracelets we get really are the same ones from the Xenologues and not from a double alternate Elyos, having landed in our Elyos after vanishing in the end of the DLC.
Even if we finish the Xenologue before getting the DLC Emblems, the bracelets still canonically ended up in our Elyos before Alear was summoned to the alternate Elyos, as both the DLC Emblems and the Xenologue are unlocked after ch. 6.
In fact, some of the bracelet Emblems felt they had been sleeping for a very, very long time, and the Emblem(s) of Rivals mentioned they were tired of each others' company, as if they were stuck at our Somniel for a long time before they were discovered.
For it to make sense, time-travel must have been involved in one way or another. Maybe time really passes differently in each Elyos and the bracelets time-travelled on their own, independently.
Anyone know the final boss soundtrack name? To me, is sounds like something from three houses.
The Xenologue final boss theme is literally just a remix of a song from the same game did you not play Engage? And if you didn’t why are you spoiling yourself?
The name of the song is different from the original. It is called mirrored engage. As for why I don't play it, it is because I don't have the Nintendo switch to play it on. The next best thing I could do was watch someone else's walkthrough on UA-cam.
Am I the only one sad that you can’t see Alear’s full outfit at the end? It looks so pretty!
If I haven't completed main story, can I still play the dlc without ruining the main story experience? Or should I play the dlc in second playthrough.
I am on sentinel of som chapter at main story.
It's up to you really, the fell xenologue exists in a vacuum, you don't gain experience and any items you get don't transfer to the main story. Keep in mind that the xenologue will be harder than anything in base game; maybe it's fine on normal but I played it on hard. To save yourself some frustration maybe just skip it for now and save it for a future playthrough when you know the game better.

Okay, I enjoyed this xenologue, but nel "always knowing" nil was dead...really? Its okay for nel to have been fooled. She can still care about him & have been fooled
I think the plot of the story was that someone has to give Nil/Rafal something to cry about.
He doesn't feel like an antagonist, no, not even a rival for sure for me. Just a timid guy who thinks of themselves superior than others even if the person they wanted to become is not what they wanted to be.

She abuses Alt Hortensia and slaughtered her half siblings, sacrificed her father without hesitation, seemingly ran her Elysia into the ground, and will gladly try to kill Zelkov and Kagetsu

That sounds like something who didn’t watch the Ivy supports would say. Her worshipping the divine dragon is supposed to be contradictory to her nation’s beliefs; she outright tells Alear that she worships her because she wanted to rebel against Elusian society-specifically the pious nobility.

This has got to be a new low in storytelling in FE. I can't believe there is an even deeper rock bottom than Fates Revelations. Why didn't Mauvier just rewarp? Why did Mauvier have the same name? Why did Zelestis never reveal that she is a Mage Dragon? How was Nil forgiven so easily when he even admits himself that he was doing everything from his own free will? If Nel knew from the very beginning that her twin was the imposter, Why even act to Alear that They are twins? Is Nil from another mirrow world?
This whole DLC is literally "But first, we need to talk about Parallel Universes except not really ever explain what they are and they just exist in the FE canon, which already has Dragon's gates and Time travel". And here I thought we were going to find out who is Emblem 0, but I was a fool
Nope. Still better than Revelations since the premise isn't based around everyone having blind faith in an incompetent lord that betrayed them to the point they jump off a cliff for Corrin. Also some of these seem like nitpicks because Zelestia literally does reveal that she's a mage dragon. That status means nothing for the plot though.
@@nuibaba280 To be fair, Revelations really shot itself in the foot when trying to have the Royals fight the Vallites, who are invisible. It makes Corrin Look schizophrenic and yeah, I do agree that it's extremely dumb they follow Corrin blindly. However, Anankos has a much better motivation than Sombrom/Nil, because Anankos felt forgotten meanwhile Sombrom wanted to be Alone and find Emblem 0 and Nil was just Mind controlled by Sombrom's will while having fake free will.
@@ChillstoneBlakeBlast Anankos' motivation is fine. It's everything around him that falls apart on every level. From his mishandled children, his invisible soldiers, his "curse word" that kills you instantly because Fates knew it'd break the plot otherwise, to the DLC bringing a plothole of the three Awakening characters that knew everything all along yet did NOTHING.
Sombron and Nil are basic, kind of dumb, but ultimately serviceable antagonists. Everything around them is slightly more consistent. Sombron also wanted revenge and became evil because of his people's genocide by the way so it's not entirely just Zero Emblem. Hell, I'd argue that Nil's motivation being so whatever (it's literally just jealously and loneliness. Lots of trauma too. And he gets no actual accomplishments on his own even when he undergoes his Joker arc) further "justifies" why he'd be recruited in the end imo. Because he's not a full fledged villain, just kind of lonely loser lmao. And it's recognized by everyone in the story, Nil's a tryhard and I find him getting hit with reality this way fine enough. Going off your logic, wouldn't Nil having fake free will be enough reason for the group to just accept him?
I mean... Come on! Everyone's special boss quotes with Nil is literally them lecturing him like a puppy that knocked over a vase while Nil is trying to flex. He's too goofy to be an effective unrecruitable villain. As a character he's better off being recruited to be honest.
