I enjoy the showcase. I got the game since Wednesday and gotten through 17 chapters. I won't spoil it after the game is beaten.
Diamont and Alcryst really do have some of the best voice acting I've ever heard. The dialog against Morion feels so real, the little wavering in thier voices really feels like they are holding back tears. It's gut wrenching and so so good.
They absolutely nailed those two, for real. That chapter and those battle quotes... god 👏😭 I feel chills even after playing the game so many times by now, you can never not have them fight Morion.
That’s why I love Diamont’s crit lines. “Are you watching Father!”
When I got to Chapter 10, I made sure Diamant, Alcryst AND Alear all got to say their last words to Morion. It only felt natural.
Despite the grief Alcryst feels killing his own father, he does not apologize. He doesn't apologize for the act, or that someone greater than him should be the one to do it. He doesn't doubt that he can or even that he should. He does not waste his last moments with his father belittling himself. In that moment, he is more than a shadow of his older brother, he is an honest prince of Brodia.
When I had to defeat king Morion, it was so sad, because Alcryst was about to deal the final blow and then Diamant swooped in with a chain attack, probably trying to stop his little brother from having to bear the weight of killing him.
Alcryst vs King Morion is so heart breaking, Alcryst even did the final blow against Morion in my playthrough and made this conversation even more perfect, I always try to use characters linked to the enemy boss to see if they have a conversation and im glad I did this in this chapter.

And the answer tends to be yes most of the time. Others you're left confused when there is no conversation on someone that should have one. ( *coughcough* Ephraim vs Demon King in the final chapter)
same here. His line hurts more because he doesn't want his brother to have to do it. Diamant's just as sad to me, wanted to give them both a hug after
I mean I tried, but after his speech Diamant got the team attack and stole the kill. That was, awkward

You could attempt to reclass him to a staff unit to make him debuff Lumera without the worry of a counterattack
@@5h3nn0ng Or you could de-class him when you get a second seal, and get him on par with everyone else with using Micaiah
I managed to get him good enough to use him in lategame chapters.
Just make him a hero or speedy class. Leveling him up in the arena is the way to go

You know after I had her and Ivy defeat Hyacinth, her next critical quote against an enemy was "I want my life back!"
And then you absolutely ruin it by having Timerra and Anna swoop in and kill-steal her.
I just want to say that 21:58 is such a stellar delivery, and that these batshit crazy lines are why Griss is one of my favorite characters from this game
I'm sorry to said this, but when he gave that line, it made me shook and a bit flustered lol
I've always loved the unique battle dialogue they've had inside the FE Games, it gives it so much to life and gives backstory to so many characters
I really like Mauvier's quote against Zephia in the final fight, it kinda caught me off guard.
Man legit calls her heartless by telling her he learned how to be that way from her.
She did all that just for smash
Corrupted Lumera is just ghoulish. It's amazing that Sombron, even at his best, can't revive people perfectly... while Veyle can do it SHOCKINGLY well, even when evil.
Probably the only reason a "defect" in Sombron's eyes was allowed to live, because she could do 1 thing better than he could, which made her useful
You forgot the dialogue where Boucheron is complimented by Lord Sombron on his abs.
What's with toned characters and 20% STR growths
Irony is a hell of a drug for the devs I guess.
28:22 I really like how Past Alear pauses for a good three seconds in this line. It brings her inner turmoil to light. She's not allowed to say this kind of thing, yet she does anyway. She's evil because she *has* to be, not because she wants to be. And this is the tipping point that makes her realize she has a choice.
And unfortunately, this delivery is exclusive to female Alear. Male Alear does not pause. Just up and says "I hate them." like it's no big deal. I don't wanna say Brandon McInnis did it wrong, but I do wanna say Laura Stahl did it very *very* right.

31:16 no one talking about this one but it literally hit me the hardest of them all. It made me so sad, seeing lumera grunt as well gave me the impression she herself couldn't say those words both not to hurt Alear AND herself. I dunno, but it really got to me.
I'm just contemplating how long it took you to find every unique battle quote and dialogue in engage, because so far you're literally the only channel I've seen that's done it, besides giving the emblems their own video ofc, but thanks for taking the time to make this.

Alear vs. Griss in ch23 goes hard goddamn. I love this character
PM1 once again putting in the dedication to give us boss dialogue and talk conversations in Engage!
The way I imagine the Diamant/Alcryst vs Morion fight, I think Diamant was fighting Morion first knowing he’ll have to kill him, but Alcryst was probably had his bow aimed on Morion while saying all this, and finished it before Diamant could do the final blow so Diamant doesn’t regret it.
In paralogue every emblem: Come divine dragon. We will have a fair fight
Meanwhile almost every emblem’s weapon is a wyrmslayer.
Falchion (Marth, Chrom), Parallel Falchion (Lucina), Mulagir (Lyn), Wyrmslayer(Roy), Sword of the Creator and Blutgang (Byleth), Fog Breath (Tiki), Armads (Hector) [Aymr, Luin, and Failnaught as well but Byleth doesn't use those in his fight and you don't fight the House Leaders]
8/19 (counting Robin as you fight him separately from Chrom) use Dragon Effectiveness and depending on the time you do them (I'm looking at you Marth) you can have Holy Shield unlocked and nullify the weakness anyway
Alcryst and Morion always makes me cry
I always love these since it brings out the personalities of these characters more, I, only on chapter 3 atm and seeing the characters face lum era like that is so cute
In chapter 4, iirc Chole and Louis have different dialogue if Celine is engaged with Celica just to point it out!

Marth sounds so proud of tiki I love it. Like he could just go "look how big you've grown!!" At any moment

I haven't seen it yet, but I also haven't seen the whole video: there are some unique dialogues between characters if they talk to different people in succession, too.
I know I got one between Jade and Diamant after having Alear talk to Jade first! (She mentioned the Divine Dragon having already caught her up on what was happening.)

Apparently, there is dialogue for when Alear fights against the corrupted boss that appears in the Trial of the Pact paralogue after retrieving the pact ring, as Alear reminisces about the fabrications Lumera made during their training match

That’s interesting Alfred has dialogue with lucina I always thought he was supposed to have Sigurd but no apparently that’s who vander has
Yeah Alfred doesn't really have a "canon" emblem like the rest of the main royals do, since Firene's emblem is "canonically" on Celine. This is why in the intro you see him with Lucina, who I presume was effectively passed to him from Alear when you get Math back. I am semi tempted to do a run where I can only use emblems on their "canon" wielders, though that poses a problem for Leif since he'd then have to share with Lyn.
@@SteelPokeNinja I know in the opening it shows Alfred in celiacs ring when showing each country ring but never him using it. As for Leif in the tutorials it shows bouchron using it in one and a tutorial for a later map shows alear with Leif
After finishing Ivy's support, I see why she wanted Alear to come closer to her
Hortencia really is a great character, ngl, her dialogue Vs Hyacinth lowkey almost had me in tears
All the unique dialogues are awesome but i the Alear vs zephia the most
I honestly thought the final battle would have like 3 phases. I ended up killing Sombron after defeating the first 4 dark emblems.
same, I thought after defeating the first health bar, he would get his shield back and push my units away but he didn't so I just kept going

My favorite battle dialogues is Alear against the past self and Veyle and past Alear for he/she cannot be the defect like his/her past siblings
Same, the reveal that Alear’s fear of the corrupted was from deep-seated trauma at watching her siblings get killed by them, and living in constant terror that she’d be next was way better writing than I’d come to expect from Engage.
Next year's fallen banner will be something, alright

In the pact ring paralogue there is some dialogue when alear initiates with the main corrupted boss that comes in with reinforcements (not in this vid), do you think maybe that means it is Lumera's husband or maybe someone that knows Alear?
Could be Lumera's husband because of the fell xenlogue having Alear being a real divine dragon
Hello PM1, do you happen to have any tips for farming support conversations from units that have been benchwarmers most of the time? I dont have much of a problem with my core members, but between benchwarmers it gets really tedious, cause they're not even high enough level to participate in skirmishes for example. We have the arena, eating meals and if they happen to be able to participate properly Corrins "Quality Time" skill I guess. Thats all that comes to mind.
Appreciate any kind of help, I would like to have all support conversations..
In the most recent patch, recreation became available starting after chapter 6 or 7, if I remember correctly to grind supports between benchfolks.

I have to say, Veyle looks good with Celica’s hair color, but Celine looks the best with it, probably because of the butterflies in her hair and the two match so well

I fought king Marion with diamant and alcrist, because I thought, “it’s be funny to have them kill their father” and found out from that about unique conversations

i dont want to be that guy but you missed the one with jade after talking to alear, and talk to her with diamant you get another dialogue.
Also missed, Jean has a unique conversation if you have him visit the bottom right house during his paralouge as thats his mother.
Lumera’s line with veayle goes so very hard I only with vealye had said more and sounded more remorseful but the line with alear is so perfect

She's still a DLC character that gets her own paralogue. Still there are DLCs to come after this first one and they may get theirs in one of the next ones.
If you get Byleth’s ring before going to the cliffside, there is special dialogue between them there

I'm confused most unique battle dialogue with emblems have an in story reason for why certain characters have dialogue with emblems such as
Celica with Alfred and Céline being the Firenese royal family ring.
Micaiah with Yunaka being the one she bonded with.
Roy with Diamant and Alcryst being the Brodian royal family ring.
Leif being shown with Ivy in her first appearance.
Lyn being with Ivy and Hortensia due to her being the Elusian royal ring.
Ike with Timerra and Fogado due to being the Solm royal family ring.
Corrin with Seadall due to finding her.
Eirika with Rosado and Goldmary due to them stealing her from the hounds and bring it to Alear.
Marth with Veyle thanks to her using his ring and connection to Alear.
Sigurd with Vander thanks to them being with Lumera the longest.
Byleth with Hortensia since she was the first to use his ring.
Yet Lucina is with Alfred despite not once using her ring in story, and not Hortensia who was the one who actually used her and introduced dark emblems.

@@allingbrodniak8819 I don't count the prologue, since it never actually happens in the game. Seriously the whole thing is just stupid, it does not fit in anywhere into the events of the game. All it is a quick little tutorial to teach you the mechanics of the game.
The best I can think of is that it is a corruption of what happened 1000 years ago, the four lords are stand ins for whoever fought alongside Alear, and they used current Alear to hide the truth of who they really are.
So no Alfred did not use Lucina's ring in the game, the Alfred in the Prologue is just a stand in for someone else entirely.
@@Vandalieu My thoughts of the prologue is that it is a premonition of sorts, and partly a dream since Alear wanted to become a savior like Lumera, and in this scenario Alear passed Lucina to Alfred after getting Marth back in ch 22, since Alear storywise starts using Lucina in ch 11

Albeit the exact scenario doesn’t happen, but we know that Alear will eventually meet the 4 elder princes/princesses with their rings. I mean you could say Sigurd is actually supposed to be given to Vander and canonically Lucina is supposed to be passed to Alfred once Alear regains Marth’s emblem
Lucina used to be firene’s ring before Celica was given instead. That’s why they have dialogue. It’s in Alfred’s bond convos with Lucina

So, based on chapter 26, i guess Golded deer is the canon route. At least, that's where that Byleth comes from.

Huh, is it just me or does some dialogue change based on gender?
Beyond the line deliveries from both genders of Alear, and them being referred to as Veyle's brother or sister, not really. (PS: Late response, I know)
