- I would invite all my readers to try to think of one culture-wide institution that has not managed to lose virtually all its credibility. The CDC? The FBI? The media? Congress? The Gospel Coalition? Fox News? The military? The Episcopal Church? Big Tech? Hollywood? Yes, but all of that happened in a past that has already happened. Everybody knows all about it. When the joke is made, whether or not everybody laughs at it, everybody at least gets the joke. Case in point: “Unlike Fox News, Epstein didn’t kill himself.” Just imagine yourself as that boor at the party trying to explain, in the aftermath of said joke, that akkkschwally, “Epstein really didn’t kill himself.”
As I read the current situation, the panicked flailing of all the establishment cognoscenti is not a sign that they have it all together, and that their plans are all unfolding perfectly. They are not behaving this flagrantly because they have all of us so perfectly trained, and they know we won’t even notice how flagrant it all is. Everybody is noticing how flagrant it all is. It is hard not to notice-they are force feeding us their mandates (gavage) like we were so many geese lining up to donate our foie gras to the IRS. It is so ridiculous by this point that I am taking these measures they are imposing, whichever extreme measure it might happen to be, as Hail Mary passes. These are kamikaze runs in the last few weeks of the war. I am not mixing metaphors if I keep each one in a separate sentence. Leave me alone.

I cannot speak for Evangelicalism, but personally, Pastor Wilson has done more for my faith and family than Graham or Sproul, though I do like Sproul very much.

As a believer of 40 yrs, my pastor was taught by LS Chafer at DTS. Nonetheless i find Doug Wilson sincere erudite and compelling, obvious differences notwithstanding. This video is a call to follow the colours. This is my contribution; i hear and see so little from pastors regarding the filling of the Holy Spirit. In 1 John we are informed that in order to have fellowship with God, we cannot be walking in darkness, this is addressed to believers. If we confess our sins to God, we are forgiven and restored to fellowship and no longer walk in darkness. Therefore we walk in the light. To walk in the light is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. How many believers confess their sins with immediacy? Therein lies a serious problem, the foot soldiers that we have, do not seek the filling of the Holy Spirit by holding themselves to account with a full knowledge of sin and the filthy rags which are included in the 'all unrighteousness' cleansing from God.
I listened straight through twice. This was so true! I too have been a Francis Schaeffer fan since I came to Christ in 1970. I even used his book, The Christian Manifesto, in my history classes in 1984. May the Lord bring light into this darkening world!!❤️🙏🥰

My surviving siblings and I are from the so called Silent Generation, but I don't recall us being particularly silent.
I read most of what Francis Schaeffer wrote back when he wrote them. I remember the episodes presented in the church I was attending, "How Then Shall We Live." We knew back then that he was prophetic.
And you just let it all happen? Good job.
Re-reading how should we then live right now. Schaffer was willing to see what many decided not to.

Its time for us Christian men to reject passivity, be strong in the Lord and accept responsibility for all the Lord has given us as His co-regiants and ambassadors on His Earth and specifically in America. Fourth Turning is very good. (Taleb's book is just silly.) Love the kamikaze metaphor, though. I too see all the craziness as a sign of desperation. However, just to extend the metaphor, the kamikazes did do a lot of damage and gave the USN, at least, considerable pause about how costly the invasion of the Home Islands would be. Which is why the USN wanted to blockade rather than invade. Blockading here = boycotting.
Mr. Wilson is not the only one who has forecast our present time. However he is the one of the only ones who sees himself as the only one. The Church has a prophetic voice to society and it's called the Gospel which does include the law of God. Chrisitan citizens who believe the Gospel may greatly influence their Church, society and nation. But they are not to select one man as a "prince" to officially lead them in both arenas. That is a horrifying prospect.

Imagine thinking Churchill, who initiated and oversaw the complete dissolution of the British Empire, and the destruction of the noble German people, is an archetype you would like to see rule over you. The sad thing is that the boomers who believe this nonsense will never see the ruin they are calling down, except when they are beaten to death by some immigrant in a nursing home because their children hate them and have no interest in caring for them in their old age.
