"You're not John Locke. You disrespect his memory by wearing his face, but you are nothing like him" -Jack. By this point, Jack accepted that Locke was right, and misunderstood.
"You're not John Locke". only thing you have in common with him was his face you gotta be ashamed of yourself MIB if anyone knew John Locke on the Island it was Jack.
I'm very mixed on that. It would've been a real impact to have the true John Locke as the main villain, but I think merging the Smoke Monster and Locke's image was really effective. And I prefer the real John Locke having died a tragic hero than fall into villainy, but Im a sap that way lol
I respectfully disagree. Locke had already experienced a loss of faith in season 2, and it would have been a betrayal of the character if he suddenly started killing people because he lost faith. Rousseau called him a security system because that's what she thought he was.
I kinda wish the MiB had not called Hurley "Hugo", because it was Locke who started calling him that. Then, only Sawyer was the other one. It would've made the distinction more clear that this was a image of John Locke, but not actually John Locke.
The entire point of the monster is to confuse the people on the island by wearing the face of an old friend/brother/daughter and pretending to be them. These people are aware that this is not Locke, but that doesnt mean he cant play with them in subtle ways... which is one of the genius things of season 6.
Corey You missed the point. Not only MIB manipulated and played with people but he also sort of adopted some of the habits of his ''hosts'' or people he emulated. I believe in some cases he did it on purpose, in others - it sort of just came naturally.
Locke was a total bad ass sometimes. Like after the flaming arrow attack when young Charles Widmore with the world's most punchable smug face was ordering one of this Other buddies to cut Juliet's hand off. Locke took them out. And then strolls in politely saying Hello James, Juliet while wiping his knife clean of the blood of one of the guys he took out.
He wasn't exactly evil in my opinion. From entering down into the light, he represented evil. That's what he became. His frustration and anger stemmed from wanting to leave and because of what he became he couldn't leave at all without total destruction of good in the world. It was his desire to leave, and he would do anything through desperation at that point to do so. A trapped soul who through hundreds, perhaps thousands of years became so bitter and angry he would sacrifice nnything and anybody to do just that. I think their mother was both the smoke monster and keeper of the light. She has balance and understanding, plus she was content in staying. Proper got me though when I thought Locke was resurrected and turns out he hadn't. Great writing
Well...the idea of Evil incarnate is how Jacob interprets this. I believe it's more a Yin-Yang thing. Light & Dark eternally wedded together, bonded to form the unity that is existence. On the Island, the Light is the force of life itself...that's why it heals people, mends them. And yet, like Yin-Yang you cannot have Light without Dark. When Jacob threw MiB down into the Source, Mother made it so he could NOT be killed by Jacob. So he threw a living MiB down into the Source that did NOT have that cork system in place. MiB's body/form went directly into the Source. The Dark elements of the Light absorbed MiBs persona and with it, his disdain for humanity "They come. They fight. They destroy. They corrupt" which is what Mother told both Jacob and MiB. This Dark "force" also obtained MiBs hatred against Jacob for keeping him from leaving the Island and squealing on him to mother who destroyed all his efforts to leave the Island. The Dark force also got MiB's pathological need to "leave the Island". In fact, the Dark force wedded to the Light interprets its "liberation" from the Light as freedom which it wants more of in the form of leaving the Island. The problem is this Dark force is wedded to the Source, the Light...the only way for it to leave would be to "turn off" the light, to undo the Unity...sever the connection. But this would destroy the unity and likely undo existence. That's why the Dark force in the guise of MiB and later John Locke had to be stopped, because it wants to leave the Island...and the only way that could happen jeopardizes all of existence. So this thing that pretended to MiB and John Locke isn't EVIL or Malevolence really, it's just the other side of the coin but it's desire to "escape" the Island...the Light threatens everything. Also, having MiBs disdain for humanity...being a very powerful, nearly indestructible entity, it viewed most humans as insects.
He wasn't evil though, all he wanted was to leave. He never got a choice in anything, his "mother" effectively decided his fate from the moment he was born and trapped him to it. The insane and selfish woman murdered his real mother, decided his fate and placed magical rules an restrictions upon him to ensure that he'd never be able to avoid it. In "across the sea" he is the one who wants to make contact with and be friendly to the people on the island, and those people are eventually also murdered by his "mother". He turns to evil in his desperation, but the true evil of the series: Jacob and his "Mother" had effectively forced him into that by leaving him no other choice.
But then the ending where Locke started to remember in the flashsideways scenes wouldn't have made sense cause people would remember him killing them and he wouldn't get his peaceful ending in purgatory

Once you’ve seen LOST every other show out there doesn’t come close to comparing.
plenty of shows that are miles better..
Losts first two seasons were pretty good tho... pretty good
sadsadsa asadasd no i don’t agree
@@goodguynow Perhaps you haven't watched that many shows.
You're right Lost is as good a show as there has ever been.
Lost is the Best
I love when locke says "Hello Hugo"
same )
It seems that both Jacob and MIB sense Hugo's purity and interacts with him accordingly.
@@DEREKinNYC I think just about everyone in the show did. There's nobody that didn't like Hurley.
That wasn’t Locke though.
2:10 Ah yes the best moments of Lost when the whole orchestra does this.. detuned thing
One the best themes song in lost
It’s simply amazing
2:11-2:21 is one of my favorite moments in the series... classic good vs evil, the twist being Jack sees a friendly face on his nemesis.
Now that was an epic ending to an episode
"You're not John Locke". only thing you have in common with him was his face you gotta be ashamed of yourself MIB if anyone knew John Locke on the Island it was Jack.

Rousseau called him a security system because that's what she thought he was.
она так говорила, потому что это было а сценарии, потом сценарий пошёл по пизде...

I still think killing locke was the biggest mistake they made in the bad seasons (5-6)

I dont know who you are, Dude.
Goosebumps
Yes the song in the end of this clip 😍

I desperately wanted locke/mib to be good but, truth is he/it was evil incarnate...

One thing nobody ever had a problem with on the island was the torch game
You have to accept supernatural to enjoy lost
