I definitely agree on all these points! The stabilization was my biggest complaint... Hence initially thinking of switching to Panasonic until the ZV-E1 came out!
Ever played with the panasonics? The GH5 was amazing when it came to image stabilisation. I still keep my GH5 for sentimental reasons :)

Yeah, I ended up getting a leather half case to enhance the grip for this camera. And you have to rely on the custom functions to get around the lack of dials and buttons. Despite its drawbacks, it’s still my favorite camera ever. Love the full frame, low light performance, especially for urban/street photography
Ive been considering a leather half case actually. I just... don't like the look. but yeah, the grip is a bit of a let down. but its compact size is pretty cool. I mean.. its a full frame. you know? :) so cool.

@@TSCameraGear No need for the grip! I bought a cage from smallring and the grip has improved tremendously with the cage.

thank you. I use final cut pro x. and I use some effects from MotionVFX.
Enjoying my little Sony A7C too and it keeps amazing me with new hidden features. Just discovered this cool new feature called Clear Image Zoom which in combination with APSC crop mode effectively give a 2.25 times image zoom without much loss in image quality. This means my little Tamron 70-300 when paired with this compact full-frame camera can zoom up-to 675mm of telephoto range!! Just perfect travel gear for landscape, portraiture, wildlife and birding! You can also post stabilize footage with gyro data on top of IBIS for gimbal like stabilization even when walking with a wide lens for those walkthrough shots! Brilliant camera 📷
Hi TS, would you recommend me which one for better in door video shooting for day to day piano playing recoding for UA-cam, I will put on tripod. TiA
grip can be fixed with a cage easily. The fact that you get new sony tech in a small body at a price like that makes up for everything
im considering a grip. but I havent found a good one yet.

You would truly get the A7 IV over the A7C in this current year? I'm deciding between the 2 but the A7 IV seems to have more rolling shutter than the A7C and as you said it is $1200++ more than the A7C.
I like the a7c. its not a bad camera at all. but I like the 4K60fps and the camera grip friendliness on a7IV. If you are on a budget, the a7c is a great camera for the price.
Hopefully Sony comes out with a7Cii that's basically a compact version of the AIV
Should be possible I think.
The Timelapse mode for the Sony cameras comes up when you go into slow & quick mode
The S&Q mode can give you a timelapse video, but its only 1080p. That doesn't create 4K timelapses. Only way to get 4K timelapse mode, is if you do interval shooting which creates photos that you can splice together in editing software. its not the same.
Hi there, I own the A7C since the end of 2020. I love this camera! Do you have some issues with the camera?
For me after a bit more than a year I have some issue with the shutter release button. The middle position of the button doesn’t work anymore! Do you have similar experiences?

It would suit the sigma i range lenses or the sony equivalent. How come you haven't got the smallrig grip for the C.

I think so. One of the most valuable full frame 4K cameras. A7 IV is better, but its also more expensive. Depends of course what you need it for. If you don't need the extra low light performance or the full frame look, the sony A6000 series is pretty cool. or the Sony ZV-10.
