Hi! I recently upgraded to A7C from Canon M6 and I must say, I do appreciate its body being lowkey especially in public places. I really don't want to own things that's screaming like "hi! I'm expensive" if you know what I mean 😅 But of course, opinions can be subjective and it's a different story when a client questions the capability of your gears 😅 Great observations.. so spot on!
I’ve never taken the cage off of it and I love it. Also think the EVF is lame but I still enjoy taking photos with it. I rarely use a camera strap but I do have the two peak design anchors on it for the strap just in case. I wish they’d give it the new menu system.
i recommend the smallrig cage 3212c which has the grip, it is far better. no issues with evf personally. A7c is very good 8 bits, no need 10 bits. very good in photo and video. i was new to Sony and i had no issues with the menu, i created a custom menu, custom 1,2,3 buttons and custom FN shortcut screen for photo and video. no issues with menus. a7c is very good in lowlight, very good 1080p60 and 120. the 1080p can easily be upscaled to 4k in Davinci Resolve with very good result. Personally i edit in 4k and i render in 1080p as the difference is nearly not visible as Davinci Resolve dowscale is so good, and files are much smaller.

I was super tempted to get this but I picked up the X-T4 instead for a bunch of reasons and the EFCS was one of them. I don't want to risk having weird bokeh after spending thousands on good glass.
Did you have this problem with your A7C ua-cam.com/video/6IbT3HrT6Xw/v-deo.html is this a problem or just the way this camera functions?
@@JesusGodHolySpirit3 Hmmm.... doesn't quite sound right. I don't have an A7C. But my XT4 doesn't make this sound. The sensor moves due to the IBIS even powered off, but it's like a dampened sound? Not a thud kinda sound. Maybe try a bunch of reddits and forums see if anyone knows more. Been a while since I used a Sony.
@@professionalpotato4764 thanks professor potato kind of made me even sadder, but I'll take your words. I just took it out of the box and waited a week to get this darn thing :(. I'm researching. I had A 7 III one and it did not make this gross noise once I put on the lens; it had a slight movement, but not like this; this is way too much it's insane.
@@JesusGodHolySpirit3 Sorry to hear about that. It sucks. I hope it's not too serious and the shop will do a free exchange and shipping for you in case you return it.
@@professionalpotato4764 I need to know if this A 7C is like this or if this is defected? It took a week to get here!
and the a7iv makes this thing look like a childs toy\ and the a79-- if u got the cash destroys all
Agreed!
A7C user here as well. I've also been following your experiences with it since you got it so I REALLY appreciate you putting up content related to it!
My only minor ish gripe with it is my problem with trying to figure out what picture profile to use on it. Are you still happy with the PP1/Movie Gamma you set it up with in this video?
ua-cam.com/video/4OkNV7-6kZg/v-deo.html
Otherwise I love this thing but still thinking about saving up for an FX3/a7siii for when I need to do more video centric work.
Aw amazing, glad you like the stuff! So, lots of thoughts on this 😂 I might do an updated picture profile video to cover different use cases - I use slog 2 or 3 for bright day scenes but besides that stick to my PP1 or a lowlight config PP2 for darker scenes. Next video is a comparison of picture profiles on A7C and A7SIII so keep an eye out next Thursday 👍
@@GeorgeHolden Will do, thanks for the reply!
Does A7C have pause option during video recording ?

@@JesusGodHolySpirit3 the Ibis does make a noise when you shake the camera but in your video that sounds heavier, I'd suggest opening the body cap and watch the sensor as you tilt it
Sony’s best fullframe camera? U sure bud?
