Question: Why do some people flip upside down to fire missile while at altitude, but rarely even try to lift a wing when firing at low level where the missile drop is more likely to send it into the ground?
Pro fighter pilots have commented on this before. Although the missiles are designed to be able to launch while inverted, it has a higher chance of failing to come off of the rail when you do that. A professional would prefer to give their missiles the best launch parameters possible- good range for the type of missile, good lock, enough altitude to clear the ground, flying normally instead of inverted, launch at high altitude and high speed if possible, launch while climbing to start the missile on a good ballistic trajectory... Firing a missile while inverted is like turning a gun sideways- looks cool, you technically can if you have to, but not something that a trained person would prefer to do. That Felon dropping the missile into the ground was a life or death mistake.

@@HolyNorthAmericanEmpire There is something called data fusion and data links. Ofc it would get a lock. Now the question is, EW in this topic and we don’t know much about it.
the eurofighter is or was smiled at and underestimated due to the initial technical problems and because of the CFRP/GFRP fuselage section (called Plastic Bomber). The thrust-to-weight ratio is still over 1.10, even when heavily loaded (not max.). Its maneuverability is outstanding for a (multi-role) fighter jet without thrust vector control and since the introduction of the EuroFIRST the radar reconnaissance and target guidance is above average. ...But actually an advantage to be underestimated, better than overestimated.

The SU-57 has a radar signature of one tenth of a square meter. The F-22 has a radar signature of one ten thousandth of a square meter.
@@HolyNorthAmericanEmpire I completely agree with this statement.
@@v0id683 they use air pressure to track as well via satellites
@@HolyNorthAmericanEmpire There is something called data fusion and data links. Ofc it would get a lock. Now the question is, EW in this topic and we don’t know much about it.
When do not take the speed into account. How would you know which one is the AWACS / Felon...
the eurofighter is or was smiled at and underestimated due to the initial technical problems and because of the CFRP/GFRP fuselage section (called Plastic Bomber).
There is something sad, yet satisfying when you go after the AWACS.
Some of the crew bailing from the AWACS were lucky not to become decorative Crimson camouflage on the Eurofighter.
"...well, landed is a generous term." 😆
That Russian AWACS is a good looking plane. Even in pieces.
