"its a lot harder when its cold"--best line ever heard from the FRONT seat of a Mustang. Like a 1955 Chevy, there's so little weight to overcome initially, giving it its feeling of speed. I still have my 1986 GT, they were always a tin can with a truck engine for torque and "a little cam" for idle. In the days of Total Performance, Ford preferred a lot of head port (Clevelands, Boss, etc) and a relatively tame cam.

@Xarmy187 the bbk seems fine, he probably wont switch it off. he has had 4 different intake manifolds on it, and i would agree this one is the best so far. its had the stock manifold, ford racing cobra manifold and a trick flow R manifold a few years ago, we put a trick flow R manifold on a stock motor(his 92 convertible) and that really sucked! the torque was gone and couldnt even do a burn out. then after some research and found out that it was way too big for a stock motor.
Hope you hang on to yer 5.0, seems to do gods work aka Jesus christ uttered by everyone who's gone for a ride in it, + your kid would love it, one of my dads buddies had a 68 charger with a hemi and a blower decked out in pro street trim, still remember the rides I went for in it and I was 3/4 years old and turned out to be something of a gear head.
sorry if it's already been said but what gear do you have in the rear because those RPMs are very tacky you're like cruising around just turn in the car and it's like two grand
@punkthrasher13 haha, well I give imports respect when built right, but glad to hear your back to muscle. A foxbody/5.0 stock automatic, or AOD transmission would not live long behind a h/c/i set up in my opinion. if you look at my videos, my car use to be an automatic, and after using a 100hp shot of nitrous, well, about 2 bottle's worth, the transmission was toast.
@1965mustangfb If your just after the block, then any will work. 1969 and 1970 where the strongest. but for the complete motor, 97 and 98 explorers have GT40 heads that make pretty good power, or you can sell for a good profit.

I wouldn't mind getting a Fox. Anything to look for when buying one? Stickshift of course. ;)
@powerviking the victor loose to much of low end power and the victor is made for 7k rpm (stock a9l cpu cut at 6250).... i think the performer rpm 2 was one of the best choice for his set up.
Awesome but in between u shifed from 2nd to 4th i watch twice - maybe am dreamin , looks nice project , i have one mustang 93 natchback on EFI 5.0 running well but i need more hp ?
i watched this video years ago & i found your channel !!!! i remember your lady was having a baby! i see him in the pix!!!
yea, he loves cars, bikes, everything. My car guy was have rubbed off already
good it rubbed off
XArmy187
Thank god. Half the guys I talk to that should be remotely into cars are into dumb shit like "The Hunger Games". Way to keep the tradition of having testicles going sir!
nezerac lol thanks
@strictly6racing should run mid/low 12's on motor. rebuilding the bottom end over the winter, and adding a 150shot in the summer.
check out my other videos!
@nivin69 haha, yea, 2300-2600 ish. I love that sound.
never was there with the flow-masters, but noticed it the first day I put on the mac catback. LOVE that sound, haha
thats badas man! "jesus christ it just cuts loose...FUCK!" HAHAHAHAHAH
BBK shorties, BBK off road H pipe, Mac cat back. All 2.5" piping, with 3" tail pipes
This car sounds really good, love my 25th anniversry
@gshdrums stock 8.8 rearend with 4.10 gears. bbk shortie headers, bbk offroad h pipe, MAC catback
@1965mustangfb If your just after the block, then any will work. 1969 and 1970 where the strongest. but for the complete motor, 97 and 98 explorers have GT40 heads that make pretty good power, or you can sell for a good profit.
@Xarmy187 Yeah I would say so. I have a 79 Vette that I'm fixing up. It's stock 3600 lbs. I'm picking up a 400 bored to 409. I am going to try and get it below 11sec. I figure I need around 500 horse to do so. Have you ever done the 1/4 in yours?
@silentdan23 60 foot time at the track is 1.7-1.8 seconds. 0-60mph is under 5 seconds for sure, but never timed it. its definitely quick off the line.
@Ace5Oh bbk shortie headers, offroad H pipe, mac catback. check out my other videos!
Whats up with the interior ? looks like theres shit missing, like around the shifting knob
@1965mustangfb stay tuned. changed a few things on motor, so its going to make more power. and im adding a 150 shot of nitrous through a plate ;)
