The pantry behind the TV wall is cutting edge! I haven't seen this anywhere else. Excellent use of space. And I love the new location of the fireplace.
Also, maybe make the bedroom windows a little shorter at the bottom and add some drawer space below them? We're not 'hanging closet' people, so some drawers would work well. This idea would work better with a queen bed, though.
Josh, I agree with your hybrid idea. Keep the Washer/Dryer and increase the closet space with a slideout. Also need to add a flip up table to the kitchen counter to expand the counter space.
Very, very nice for a small trailer. One suggestion is to add a counter extension on the kitchen counter or a peninsula. Should be simple to add a counter extension. It's much needed.
I also agree. However I would not be too concerned about loosing the window to accommodate the slide. They could add a small skylight to let some light in. Or, even better, add a windshield in the headboard like Outdoors RV does on some of their models.
I bet you did say that in Elementary school about sitting on toilets !!🚽 🤣👍 I’m sure you knew you were gonna do something with RV’s because of your Dads business. But thanks for the laugh Josh! I love your sense of humor!!❤️🤣😊
My husband and I have watched multiple videos about this model. Love the hidden pantry and the washer-dryer space. It's perfect just the way it is. We really like that it has just one slide. If we needed more hanging storage, we would look at one of the other Eagle HT floorplans (they are all great!) Or possibly modify the pantry to add a hanging rod. Definitely keep the storage over the theater seat. A little off topic, what we'd really like to see is a shorter Eagle HT travel trailer. As always, we really enjoy these videos; they are informative and fun. Josh The RV Nerd has become a regular part of our evening's entertainment.

With the load cap on half tons these days they'd be just fine with it. Though the big issue would be blowout control without duals. A reasonable weight couple might be able to pull this with an F-150 with an 1830# load cap, though they'd be right at the edge.
I like the over head storage above the sofa/seating area...but honestly there is such great storage throughout that I would like to see bigger windows above the seating area! We bought this unit in May-'21 with the Farmhouse interior as RV newbies. We love it, just the 2 of us with a Golden and there is more storage than we will ever need. Our biggest upgrade was a non ducted 15K btu A/C and it will freeze you out. It pulls great with a 2017 F-250 gas so far Jayco is spot on. YES, leave the bedroom the same and add a wardrobe slide.... that would be great. I wish that would have been available when we purchased. Take Care, The Clark's
Finally, a king bed! I really like this one. Jayco did a great job. The ONLY thing I see is that the coat closet by the entry door should be hinged on the other side.
@@donnellemorrison6761 Our current Jayco TT has tall cabinets on each side of the bed, when I sleep on my side my hand will rest on the side of the cabinets and my twitching fingers wake up my wife who thinks we have mice.
Josh, you crack me up! Some of the stuff you say...omg...("when I was a kid in elementary school...") I have to say that of all of the videos out there on RVs, you give the most complete and descriptive. This is a great little 5th wheel. I love the whisper ducted air conditioning. I wish all RV manufacturers would use that system. I agree with you on the closet storage slide out. Now if they would just put a king bed into it. Thanks for the time you put into your videos.
I like the way there is room to make the bed. My pet peeve is bedroom layouts where you have to tuck (cram) the comforter between the mattress and the nightstand at the head of the bed. This one looks to have a nice hang space between the two. It's a little thing, but eliminates a daily annoyance (assuming you make your bed every day).
I love your idea of the closet slide, while still leaving the space for the washer/dryer. I think they could also take out the drawers to make space for a choice for a stacking w/d, given the expense and problems that comes with the combo. No drawer space needs to be lost because the closet slide-out out could include drawers at the bottom.
Thank you for showing this 5th wheeler with slide in. Most UA-cam videos describing any trailers don't show with slide in and I don't know what it looks like or what kind of room there is when on the road. Thank you very much. Keep up this feature on all your trailers.
A window in the hallway infront of the bathroom door would be nice. Also I would like to see the storage above the sofa removed and moved above the bed. It would make the living area feel larger. The wardrobe slide would be great.
Hey Josh, this is a great unit. A reasonable size for towing yet enough room for full time living (for me at least). My opinions are: Great placement of fireplace. I’ll take the extra storage over bigger windows please. I LOVE these pantrytainment ‘secret rooms’ so much. I would convert some of it to hanging clothes space and skip the bedroom closet slide and then use the W/D in the bedroom closet. I’d opt for 2nd ac in the bedroom because I’m in AZ. I like your thinking on the king bed option, even if I went to queen for more side space in the room. Great suspension & tires. I really like this one. 👍🏻
I always appreciate the extra time that you take to explain how new or unusual equipment works on the RV. The raised wardrobe cabinets in the bedroom to allow for open space at the bed level is just great. Going with king bed makes perfect sense. The pantry is AMAZING in this unit. I wish there was a way to have the washer/dryer AND a wider shower. My idea on that would be to make the camper two feet longer to allow for a little more space between the bedroom and bath so that there is a larger shower and space for a closet next to the laundry in the bedroom.
Holy moly I loveeeeeee the layout and choices of finishes. I love your closet slide out idea too- a window above the bed headboard would be perfect. I’d buy.
Hey Josh, ok here's my take on it: 1. An option for a hide-a bed couch instead of theater seating. 1. Seating capacity (3 vs 2) 2. Potentially lighter 3. More sleeping capacity 2. The storage above the fireplace could be removed and the flip-up top (like in a Pinnacle bedroom dresser) could be used. (Yes, I love secret places😁) 3. The "tootsie-toaster" fireplace can be raised up, to allow being used while the bed is out. (Kinda becomes like the Amish bed rock heater) 4. In the "Zelda Realm Panic Room" (awesome BTW) a Max-air fan would be awesome! 2 reasons; 1. When the dogs find a "Dead turtle to roll on, and then eat the hidden beef & been burritos, the campers before you flipped in the bushes right behind your site; you won't have those amazing aromas lingering in the coach! 2. If used as storage, it'll allow some natural lighting as well as venting, to keep the rooms humidity/temp controlled. 4B. flip-down netting (like in the bedroom) between the shelves would be perfect. Granted, were not placing the wife's fine china and wine glasses back here, but anything double stacked, or taller than a can of Campbell's 🐔 and ⭐ soup, would find it's new home on the floor. 5. The bedroom: there's many combinations that come to mind, but without going down the engineering rabbit hole, I'll put them out there; 1. Relocate the two windows next to the bed shelves. This will give natural lighting by the shelves. If a possible option, a "front windshield" where the headboard is. That will make the room feel bigger, and more natural light, although this will sacrifice the insulating value. 2. In the closet, either make the shelf a "Merlin shelf😉" to allow a hanging closet, or, get rid of the drawers below, expand the whole closet, to accommodate a stackable W/D option. Additionally, since there is so much head-space above the pillows, add cabinets across the top. 3. If the larger side windows were relocated, a hanging closet could be installed (providing there's space) with or without an additional slide, but that could be an option. Ok.. that's about it.. easy peasy right! Lol 😂 Side note:. Do I dare say it....I can see some redneck putting a ball on that side hitch and wanting to side tow a trailer! Wait for it.. it'll happen! Honestly though, I could see a portable deck being made and sliding into that receiver.. that could be cool! Well, in the words of porky the pig.... "That's All Folks"
@@kreutztimothy Remind her next time you're getting on your nerves that there was a time where you literally bribed her with a shiny rock while on bended knee and asked "you SURE you wanna do this until we die?? like.. REALLY really sure?" And she had a choice.
Absolutely, 100% on the King Bed install. Makes total sense. Personal preference would be to make the 2 overhead cabinets beside the bed large enough for hanging space. Put the overhead cabinet between them back in, and add the reading lights with USB plugs that we love so much. As for windows, I would much rather see small breeze windows on either side of the headboard because air flow there is where it really counts.
King beds are always my favorite feature! I also love no storage above the bed, as I'm tall and don't enjoy smacking my head when I sit up or feeling too boxed in. I do like your idea of a hybrid for the closet! I would love a washer/dryer hookup with a separate closet slideout!
I think it would be nice to be able convert some of the storage area behind the TV to a closet / clothes storage especially if you put in a washer / dryer combo. Adding a closet slide is the best option, but adding a closet somewhere else will keep the weight down.
Love to see the 12v refrigerator added to more floorplans, but would like to see the upgraded stove/oven for more cooking space. Awesome dinette conversion mechanism!
If they add that closet slide in the bedroom and keep the washer/dryer closet then this would be my perfect model. I absolutely love the pantry behind the TV and the fireplace on the back wall
I'm sure others have said/mentioned it already. Would love to see a "combo" washer/dryer and some hanging storage. The 4 batteries storage is great along with twin solar panels with inverter. Thirty pound propane tanks for sure. I have a small generator I might be able to use, but a factory Onan 2500 watt propane tied into the propane supply beats the heck out of constantly filling a portable gas generator. A propane generator OPTION would be AWESOME! Even the stairs appear to be pet friendly. I've seen some RVs with stairs I would not buy because of the stairs alone. Glad I watched this video. I could even see somehow making a vacation trip out of visiting the Haylett RV Center.
Another Good Video Josh :) Pros - Large pantry in the back (Personally I would remove the top 2 shelves on the back RV wall to the right and add a hanging rod for more clothes. Sliding bathroom door. Extra handle at steps (ehh). Rear Fireplace. Dinette Table - can one buy that for themselves to install in a different RV? Color is nice, but the Farmhouse color is also. Over theater seat cabinets. Roof vent system for bathroom fan. Your idea of the closet side is good and would be better than the version on it's sister floorplan 25.5REOK, but without the "fart door". The 81 gallons of fresh water is a big plus for boondocks. Best capacity I have seen for this size unit. Cons - If one put in a washer/dryer combo then you would need to use it to wash your clothes every night so that you will have something to wear the next day. Horrible bedroom storage and did not even include overhead bedroom cabinets. And what is the point of having a closet access door in the bathroom as you will need every inch of space for storage. While clever that a king bed provides the same storage as a queen, you are really saying that when you get a queen bed there is not as much side storage as there could be. Dark colors intermixed. I want the light color in the bedroom and all in the living area - like Rockwood does. I prefer to give up some of the giant pantry space for an outside kitchen like in the 25.5REOK. Though there are 2 large windows behind the dinette slide only a small part of them actually open for ventilation. I think overall I prefer the Rockwood 2445WS over this having the wardrobe slide and 500 lbs less weight. Which do you prefer?
Oh man.. you're killing me Smalls! It's like asking me which of my kids I like the best lol I ... hmm... Man That IS a tough one lol Can i use a lifeline? Phone a friend? (Ask my wife? LOL) If you forced me to name one vs the other, then i'd likely give it to the rockwood by the slimmest of margins personally but.. man.. flip a coin
I really like this one and I would opt for the washer combo unit, closet slide in the bedroom and a queen bed. But I like to walk around the bed. Just my preference. I'd be towing with a 1 or 3/4 ton truck regardless.
Or a senior and a full-time dwelling I might walking around the bed myself! Was thinking taking the full queen and king out and putting in a single. I am single and don't really need a big bed. But I need space and Storage! And convenience! For seniors! Convenience. Easy access
@@JoshtheRVNerd yes I really like jayco’s smallest 5th wheel and if the wardrobe slide is added it would put it over the top! I will be in the market to buy a RV in a couple years and I hope this wardrobe happens because I will definitely buy it. Love your videos and looking forward to the day you get some more 24RE’s in stock and I will drop by to check them out in person.
Thank you for giving all the details! I think I would prefer the hybrid providing they also upgrade the undercarriage. I also think the upgrade for king bed that you provide is a great service for your customers. Really appreciate your videos.
I like your idea about adding a closet slide to the bedroom. I would also request the light-colored farmhouse cabinetry finish in the bedroom--it would make the room seem bigger. I also think they should add doors to the "nightstands" in the bedroom so what is stored in there stays in place during travel.
Josh, my wife had an interesting compromise to the wardrobe slide storage solution. Would it be possible to drop the W/D cabinet to the floor where the drawers are thereby maintaining the wardrobe storage above? Add two drawers below the bed as in the Rockwood Mini Lites? We have faith that the engineers at Jayco can relocate whatever is below the bottom drawer ( if there is anything there). This concept would avoid the weight/cost of a slide and maintain the light and cross ventilation of the opposing windows.
I don't know what's behind those drawers or if there's enough depth to make that happen. There might be some kind of plumbing back there -- but that idea might work as well. I'm not sure.
I like the idea to keep the washer dryer and the closet slide put table & chairs instead of booth and that would make it the perfect camper and hit all my have to's!!
There are a limited number of half tons with heavier payload packages that can truly safely handle it, but my general "default" answer is a 3/4 here It's a great pairing for someone that doesn't want to go diesel. I think I actually mentioned that in the video
I also have them published in the video description and on our website for any copy of this we have in stock so you can always take all the time you need to review!
The extra closet would be nice as long as you do not add much weight. In our old Fifth wheel, my husband added in the living room a few fishing rod bars to the ceiling to put our gear up high & out of the way. Add that too!!!
I think the hybrid closet would be great to keep the washer/dryer combo. Well worth giving up the second window to have the extra storage and a little more room on that side. I never understood the double bath entry when the doors are that close to each other. The extra wall space gained in a single entry is a better use of the limited room. It would also be nice to see a nose window (none opening, of course) for lots of light if you lose the second window due to a slide addition. Also, the storage above the seating is great; I wish I had that on my 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2600rb travel trailer.
I really loved the huge pantry behind the TV. I read some other comments and agree that a counter extension in the kitchen would be nice. l think a closet slide out would be great in the bedroom. I really enjoy your bloopers and sense of humor. Thanks for a nice video.

As someone who has owned a Prevost and a Newell coach. They were just to big. Now that we are downsizing to a smaller unit, I love this jayco fifth wheel. It's perfect. We had washer and dryers in all of our coaches, honestly we didn't really enjoy using them. So I'm good without them.my wife would want more closet room. Great job as always. Thanks from California.
I think adding the wardrobe slide in bedroom is a great idea. My husband and I are looking for a smaller 5th wheel & if this had that wardrobe slide it would make this our top pick. Thank you for your videos, we enjoy watching.

Totally agree with the hanging closet space. If we buy this one, we are going to add the closet space somehow, ourselves!
Ty for joining us and sharing the idea!
Holy moly I loveeeeeee the layout and choices of finishes. I love your closet slide out idea too- a window above the bed headboard would be perfect. I’d buy.
Seriously. You are our favourite trailer reviewer on UA-cam! This is a beautiful unit. It’s perfect for a lighter 5th wheel
Wow. Ty Ginger :)
Hey Josh, ok here's my take on it:
1. An option for a hide-a bed couch instead of theater seating.
1. Seating capacity (3 vs 2)
2. Potentially lighter
3. More sleeping capacity
2. The storage above the fireplace could be removed and the flip-up top (like in a Pinnacle bedroom dresser) could be used. (Yes, I love secret places😁)
3. The "tootsie-toaster" fireplace can be raised up, to allow being used while the bed is out. (Kinda becomes like the Amish bed rock heater)
4. In the "Zelda Realm Panic Room" (awesome BTW) a Max-air fan would be awesome! 2 reasons;
5. The bedroom: there's many combinations that come to mind, but without going down the engineering rabbit hole, I'll put them out there;
Lol 😂
Side note:.
Lol this read was an adventure in and of itself 😂
@@JoshtheRVNerd my wife says the same about marrying me😁... I'm rarely ever at a loss of words..
That'd be a different trailer.
@@kreutztimothy Remind her next time you're getting on your nerves that there was a time where you literally bribed her with a shiny rock while on bended knee and asked "you SURE you wanna do this until we die?? like.. REALLY really sure?"
And she had a choice.
@@JoshtheRVNerd omg... THAT'S 😂😂😂😂.. 👍👍👍 you bet I'm going to do that!
The king size bed is a great idea. Makes for a much more comfortable sleep.
This is so cute! This looks better in the modern farmhouse look.
We keep those on hand when we can too! :)
ua-cam.com/video/aF5HXlq_690/v-deo.html
I like the idea of a slide in the bedroom, I would also like to see a window over the bed like the some of the Atlas 5th wheels have.
King beds are always my favorite feature! I also love no storage above the bed, as I'm tall and don't enjoy smacking my head when I sit up or feeling too boxed in. I do like your idea of a hybrid for the closet! I would love a washer/dryer hookup with a separate closet slideout!
Thanks for sharing!!
It makes sense to get the king bed from the factory. I like the storage above the theater seats
Noted!
This one the way it is adding a camp kitchen would be perfect. I know that kitchen would be easy.
If they add that closet slide in the bedroom and keep the washer/dryer closet then this would be my perfect model. I absolutely love the pantry behind the TV and the fireplace on the back wall
Josh - the bigger windows above the couch would be nice. I have this unit and don't store anything in those above couch area.
TY for the input - stuff from actual owners is the most valuable of course
I always keep dishes above the dinette and prefer it that way. Little/younger kids can easily "help" Mom/Gma to set the table or put away dishes.
Love the idea of bedroom slide added
I am somewhat handicap and the last tears the better! Also the half of the shower floor less High the better! For easier access for a senior.
This looks great with that slide closed. Thanks for showing that. This is quite an impressive piece of equipment.
Another Good Video Josh :)
Pros - Large pantry in the back (Personally I would remove the top 2 shelves on the back RV wall to the right and add a hanging rod for more clothes.
It's like asking me which of my kids I like the best lol
I ... hmm... Man
That IS a tough one lol
Can i use a lifeline? Phone a friend? (Ask my wife? LOL)
If you forced me to name one vs the other, then i'd likely give it to the rockwood by the slimmest of margins personally but.. man.. flip a coin
@@JoshtheRVNerd Me too. I also like the Cougar 24RDS, but needing to open the slide to access the bedroom & bathroom is a bummer.
Yes, to the hanging storage. Your hybrid idea seems pretty good on first examination.
Ty Frank
I really like this one and I would opt for the washer combo unit, closet slide in the bedroom and a queen bed. But I like to walk around the bed. Just my preference. I'd be towing with a 1 or 3/4 ton truck regardless.
Or a senior and a full-time dwelling I might walking around the bed myself! Was thinking taking the full queen and king out and putting in a single. I am single and don't really need a big bed. But I need space and Storage! And convenience! For seniors! Convenience. Easy access
I love your idea of adding the wardrobe slide! Also I like that you always option to the king bed
Thx John!!
Thanks for sharing!
YES ON THE CLOSET SLIDE
Great idea. Love this. Love where the fireplace is
Thank you! 😊!
That pantry is nothing short of amazing! Definitely want the storage above the theater seating.
Ooohhhh..... That rear table could most likely be turned into a computer desk very easily with some sort of fold out table extension.
I like that idea!
Thanks for sharing the breakdown on how the dinette functions as a bed. Super helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Really enjoyed this video as I continue my research on which RV to get. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
So, if a guy were to have a F250 XLT , would that pull this trailer?
@@myrvandme301 Probably. I could say with more certainty if we had specs to reference
I like your idea about adding a closet slide to the bedroom. I would also request the light-colored farmhouse cabinetry finish in the bedroom--it would make the room seem bigger. I also think they should add doors to the "nightstands" in the bedroom so what is stored in there stays in place during travel.
Great idea!
As a solo female traveler, I’ve never really considered a fifth wheel but this one is amazing! I might have to rethink.
It's 10lbs of stuff in a 5lb fifth wheel
Well.. weighs more than 5lbs
but you get it lol
King beds is definitely the way to go - especially if no changes to 'side table' etc.
TY Andy. This really does help to hear
I love this layout! I agree with the hybrid wardrobe/closet slide.
Yes! Thank you!
Ok i love this floor plan so much! but the thing is if i get this i will lose my truck bed space... UGH lol great video by the way josh!
TY :)
I like the idea to keep the washer dryer and the closet slide put table & chairs instead of booth and that would make it the perfect camper and hit all my have to's!!
Table and chairs is an available option!
I wonder if this is half ton towable?
There are a limited number of half tons with heavier payload packages that can truly safely handle it, but my general "default" answer is a 3/4 here
It's a great pairing for someone that doesn't want to go diesel. I think I actually mentioned that in the video
Yes to storage above theater seating. I like the placement of the fireplace and I really like the hidden pantry.
I wish you would show the the specs for a little longer time.
hit "Pause"
I also have them published in the video description and on our website for any copy of this we have in stock so you can always take all the time you need to review!
Yes to the wardrobe slide, but would also like cabinets above the bed. Love the king option!
Noted!
Me and the wife are short would not need the king size bed .queen would fit our needs
The extra closet would be nice as long as you do not add much weight. In our old Fifth wheel, my husband added in the living room a few fishing rod bars to the ceiling to put our gear up high & out of the way. Add that too!!!
I love the closet slide idea! And keep the washer dryer closet!
A closet slide is a great idea! Makes this a more fully functional fifth wheel.
Add a bedroom slide and keep closet for combo washer/Dryer definitely!😁👌
I think the hybrid closet would be great to keep the washer/dryer combo. Well worth giving up the second window to have the extra storage and a little more room on that side. I never understood the double bath entry when the doors are that close to each other. The extra wall space gained in a single entry is a better use of the limited room. It would also be nice to see a nose window (none opening, of course) for lots of light if you lose the second window due to a slide addition. Also, the storage above the seating is great; I wish I had that on my 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2600rb travel trailer.
Thank you aJosh! You did wonderful! Also love your sense of humor! Lol 😂
Love that u showed the dinet turning into a bed..im a visual person and seeing it helps so much
My pleasure!
Should add cabinets above the bed, a place for extra pillows, sheets etc.
A closet slide would be perfect for me. I want that washer/dryer space for sure.
TY
Yes on the hybrid bedroom.
I really loved the huge pantry behind the TV. I read some other comments and agree that a counter extension in the kitchen would be nice. l think a closet slide out would be great in the bedroom. I really enjoy your bloopers and sense of humor. Thanks for a nice video.
Thanks for sharing!!
Great vid Josh.
I would remove the fireplace and make that area a desk unit.
Interesting. A few folks have said something along those line. Thx for sharing
This is a sweet shorty first time I ever liked a booth . An yes it was good u showed how it worked an yes your hybrid idea is a good 1 an the interior is fantastic realy likeing it an I recommend people to watch Josh factory tours at jayco really shows u everything inside an out how jayco are built Josh does great job. Loveing this unit keep them coming Josh man
Glad you liked it!! TY for sharing :)
TY Ben! :)
I think adding the wardrobe slide in bedroom is a great idea. My husband and I are looking for a smaller 5th wheel & if this had that wardrobe slide it would make this our top pick. Thank you for your videos, we enjoy watching.
TY Karen!
yes i like the hanging closet slide option plus the W/D combo. Or bed on slide and closet on actual room space.
