We see many RV's where the awning stops before the outdoor kitchen. My guess at the reasoning for this is that if you are grilling there, having the grill under the awning isn't the best of ideas
A lot of people really get into these new RVs. I have a 1998 Wildwood fifth wheel 27 and a half feet long. The cupboard and storage space in mine out does this new rig my leaps and bounds. I have drawers I have coverage my Wildwood is just loaded with storage space. In this new rig I didn't see a silverware drawer. The wine fridge just a waste of space. Several drawers could have been put there. And the wardrobe and my Wildwood puts this thing to shame. I honestly think if some of these manufacturers would pull out some of their old plans and reproduce these trailers then you would really have something. This new fifth wheel it's a sad case as far as storage goes.
Hi Mary, Since Lisa and I do not work for the deal, we would not know the current price for this model. There is a number in the description for the dealer. Please feel free to give them a call and they can assist you with current pricing.
I'm sure if you looked hard enough, there would be some cheap land somewhere. It's the "Somewhere" thats the tough part :) Good luck and thanks for the input :)
That would look good behind my Ram Laramie 1500 5.7 Hemi Max tow package what was that cabinet beside the entertainment system under the kitchen cabinet
Nice layout for the most part. Love the countertop space, solid countertops, big pantry cabinet, good TV placement, large dinette, king bed, outside kitchen, accessory hitch. The refrigerator is a bit too small. Can the fold out sofa be replaced by a theatre seat? We are looking for a short 5th wheel and I was very impressed until I saw the bedroom. The lack of space for clothes, towels and linens is a deal breaker for me.
Who manufactured this? I really like everything except the wine cooler, that would be drawers and the dinette would be switched with the love seat. The dinette takes up too much room for just two people.
I'm a squeak under 6'5" and have a tough time finding vehicles, trailers tents that fit me. BTW, Ducati Desert Sled is a good fit. Thank you for the channel.
Nice…I think tile all the way to ceiling is a good idea, in the shower area. Does bed have a hydraulic lift for under mattress storage? Does LR sofa have recliner style lifts on both sides…This looks very livable overall….
U-dinette, big windows, big pantry, storage around TV, good size shower & nightstands for bed. If the bedroom just had a sliding door full closet it would be _perfect._ If the bed was east/west that would've freed up more space for a wall-length closet on the far wall.

@@TallMansRVReviews Perhaps a way to get rid of the slide is to build all the drawers around the _head_ of the queen bed instead of its foot? That way there's more room to walk around the bed without a slide AND gain a wall-length closet...
I agree with you there. I have always loved the scamp trailers. All three of them come with a floor plan that at least for me is totally doable. And their 19 foot fifth wheel is absolutely the smallest and lightest fifth wheel ever. I just learned that if you get the deluxe fifth wheel, you get wrap around upper cabinets in the bed loft area. That’s kind of cool. And the fifth wheel doesn’t actually have a bedroom as much as it has a full bed loft, but that’s one of the things that makes it different and cool. It still feels like you’re camping a little bit.I like that.
The Scamp (in my opinion) is ugly. Now the Escape 5.0 is beautiful and built to last. We are in the market for one. This trailer has a lot of nice features and tons of room and storage, but we will never buy a conventional stick built trailer that is guaranteed to leak (especially with a slide) sooner rather than later.
Very nice! I am confused as to why the awing doesn't go over the outdoor kitchen. That mans if you made it into one of those out door rooms you'd have to leave and go out into the bad weather. They need to fix that. I would like to see them come up with a RV that had a Murphy bed in the Livingroom instead of the couches and chairs.

Yes we know. We have commented about it in other posts :) We want to check out the Scamp now as well. However, at the time we videoed this 5th wheel, it was the smallest we had ever seen (at the time) lol
I have been searching for a trailer to replace my aging 2006 Forest River Cardinal 29 WBLE. I'm looking for one with Azdel composite walls.
Hi Michael. the only thing I can find on the side walls is it lists "LAMINATED SIDE WALLS". So I would guess it is NOT Azdel. We will try to cover these things in future reviews for you :)
I'm 6ft. And it passes my test except maybe the length of the mattress. Chances are , yours and my feet hang off the end . But that's the way it goes .

Smallest fifth wheel? Not 'ever'. I had a 23 foot Keystone 10 years ago. Moreover, I didn't camp in it; I LIVED in it. OK - maybe no one makes a 23 footer any more, I don't know. But my family (me, my wife, our teenage daughter, a cat and two dogs) lived in that Keystone for a year, including a full winter at high elevation in Colorado.
@@TallMansRVReviews The furnace worked adequately, but it was cold. Ours was definitely NOT a four season trailer. One morning, I woke up early to get ready for work. Then I tripped over the dog's water dish. It was frozen solid to the floor and it was -6°F (-21C) inside. The furnace generally worked good enough to keep us from freezing to death. That night was so cold that the propane liquified. I had to bring the tanks inside and warm them up with an electric space heater. In our experience, Roofs do NOT leak on brand new RV's. However, the roof does require yearly maintenance to make sure they never leak. If you do not perform a yearly inspection, somewhere in the future a leak could develop. Plus the roof on this unit is a "One Piece Seamless Super Flex Roof" which is nice. We hope this helps :)
I wish that some of these Manufactures offered their RV units in my region... Sadly it seems they ship them to the big cities regions of our nation... .... I have been in the market for a RV unit, but nothing seems available in the Mid-Ohio Valley Region...
Once you find the model you want, do a search on the manufactures website for the closest dealer. that being said, there are definitely models that are east coast and west coast. Strange, but true.

Did you say $33000.00? That's a bit much. Also the awning should be back further, to cover and protect the door opening more. That off kilter by the eye it just isn't right. That bathroom is pitiful. This looks cheaply made. 2023 keystone Cougar 23MLE is about the same size but much nicer for the money.

We have 5 kids so we don’t fit in a truck. I’d love a 5th wheel 😭
That does present some challenges. 2 Vehicles? maybe??? LOL
27 feet is TINY?! I think NOT! More like the 19 foot "Casita" 5th wheel is tiny... 🤔
Agreed. The Scamp is also 19'
No the smallest fifth wheel made is the one i live in currently!!!!!!!!!!!! 24 foot fifth wheel i have and its called Sierra by Forest River Silver Eagle!!! i currently reside in a 24 foot fifth wheel and believe me i have not found one shorter! the closes is the one your videoing!
We have seen several now at 25', but we learned there is a 19' 5th wheel called SCAMP.
@@TallMansRVReviews Scamp is a nice little rv trailer seen lots of them but never with a fifth wheel hitch on them....as far as i no there not a fifth wheel....
here it is: ua-cam.com/video/Zy9fN_pFD7g/v-deo.html
@@TallMansRVReviews Wow Wow And Wow You where right all along they make a scamp thats a fifth wheel wow thats cool....Nice you proved your point i am the wrong one because thats the littlest fifth wheel ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@TallMansRVReviews Its weird its almost like a scamp regular with a attachment of the over head.....
Well, who sells this? Where can I find one??
just do a search on the internet in your local area for an RV dealer who sells Cruiser RV's
LOL the Escape 5.0 is 21.6 L WTF !!!
and the Scamp is 19' :) read some of the comments and you will find your answer :)
If the water is hot,, why do we need to heat it?..lol
Then why do we need ice for "Cold" water?
@@TallMansRVReviews because the water is not cold when you put the ice in. If the water coming into the tank was already hot you would not need to heat it. Simple physics.
It’s too bad no one makes an Ultralight 5th wheel trailer that I can tow behind my Ford Ranger. My max towing is 5500 #.
Try looking at a Scamp. It is 2000LBS empty. 3500LBS GVW
@@TallMansRVReviews Thanks, I will
you cant use a sheltland pony to do the plow work of a Belgian draft horse..
You can't, thats for sure
@@TallMansRVReviews I can tow a Trail Manor, so we’re looking into that.
It has more dining/seating than most expensive 5th wheels
On a Lippert chassis?
Yes, I believe It is built on a Lippert Chassis :)
@@TallMansRVReviews well then there is another one I won't be looking at, seen too many Lippert failure videos.
scamp has a 19 ft
Thanks Charlie. It has been noted in many comments. We will most certainly go look for it to review :)
Is it made for dwarves????
Not crazy about a heavy fridge on a cable slide. Have campers clamored for a wine cooler?
Understood on the cable slide. As far ask wine cooler goes, I could not 100% say if people are asking for it. But we are seeing more and more of them
My wife and I are possibly getting back into camping and we think RVing may be the way to go. We are close to retirement and looking for small RV with an outdoor kitchen. This looks like it may fit the bill. Can you send me a list of options? Is that price still applicable?
Here is the link to the manufactures website: www.crossroadsrv.com/products/fifth-wheels/cruiser-aire/floorplans/cr27mk/
As far as price, you will want to contact the dealer I listed in the description or look for the closest one to you. Lisa and I are NOT RV sales people. Just RV Enthusiasts :)
Love this
Thx
Does the roof leak?
@@TallMansRVReviews Hello.. Yes, I have been doing that, but sadly what comes up is usually a few hundred miles away from my area in the Mid-Ohio Valley (Ohio River/WV side) region... ...
I guess I might have to plot a a few day trip if I knew the dealer would have the unit I want on hand...
That sounds like the best option. We wish you luck. Safe travels :)
Scamp makes a 19
Yes and Bigfoot makes a 21 :)
Nice 5th wheel for the money. What is the pin weight? Overall weight indicates it could be towed by a 150/1500 series truck but can it?
That has been answered in 2 other comments already. Pin weight is 1284 and technically could be towed by 150/1500 but I would always consult with your dealer with your specific truck details. :) Thanks
Nooooooooo! You will be way over on GVWR on any 1/2 ton. Tow capacity is fine but not GVWR.
Nice video. I’m searching for the best couple 5th wheel any more recommendations under 30ft?
Thanks @R35GABE We have a playlist on our channel. That will give you a few to look at. Some of them will be over 30' but most of them are smaller :)
Good Luck. ua-cam.com/video/CVvjsyKqCxE/v-deo.html
Awe have you ever looked up scamp 5th wheel. This is not the smallest.
Yes, it has been commented on at least 20 times :) We are hoping to find one to review :)
Bigfoot makes a 21
Yes and Scamp makes a 19' :)
Out of all the shorter 5th wheels, I think Jayco does it best.
They certainly do a good job on the shorter ones :) Thanks Daniel!
Love the outside kitchen! Nice size overall but keystone has a cougar that is a bit smaller. That leveling system should be an auto leveling system, that a big downer for us older folk!
Thanks for the comment Bud. We have seen a few that are smaller since we videoed this over a year ago. e agree that Auto Level is a MUST!!!
NOT THE SMALLEST!! Check Escape
Yes, and the scamp
looks nice let it come over to europe, even more space then a tabbert or adria thanks and in euros it will be evn doing better in price
We did some reviews on RV's (Caravans) in Europe. They are very different.
That is not the smallest 5th wheel. Scamp has a smaller one 19ft
Yes we know, thus the question mark on the thumb nail. Plus we have answered this question/comment at least a dozen times. We cant wait to go check out the Scamp :) Thanks Peter
Or the Cougar 29BHL is also a good choice.
