@@BalancedtheScalesI love that idea! I can just imagine a varoom struggling with an attack, sputtering, and a gastly shooting out of the exhaust then hastily repossessing the engine

On the topic of shiny locking: I think the worst is shiny locking the starters. If people want to reset their game over and over and over again to get a shiny starter to play through with, there shouldn’t be anything wrong with that.
Some info about Eternatus was wrong. You can't dynamax it at all and you can technically use its Eternamax form, but only in the animation of one of its signature moves, Eternabeam.
With revavroom I wish that upon beating a team star leader you would get the option of a paint job for any revavroom in your party changing their typing and giving them the torque moves and maybe shifting their stats around.
I hereby start a petition to allow 3-headed Weezing to evolve into Choking. A poison-fighting type. His other two heads can evolve to be used as makeshift hands/fists lol.
It be cool if regular Revavroom had regional variants in the future that reflect a real-world automotive subculture from the country that the region is based on. For example, if they ever do another region based on Japan (there are still a few gaps on the map, most notably Chugoku/Shikoku), it could be a bosozoku bike or a drift car. Australia? A coupe ute with a big roo bumper on the front (the Pokedex entry could even say something about it and Kangaskhan being enemies). Brazil could be an F1 car, as a tribute to Senna (big fanbase both there and in Japan). America? Pick your poison (pun unintended, given Revavroom’s type) depending on what part of the country it is. A big lifted truck or a luxury barge with Tauros horns mounted on the hood for Texas (again, Pokedex material), a lowrider or surf wagon for southern California, a muscle car for the midwest, etc.
I remember reading about triplet weezings while playing pokemon Diamond as a kid and just spending so much time around Stark Mountain hoping to encounter one xD
10:21 I 100% agree that shiny locking is dumb. If people wanna spend hours resetting for a possibly cooler colour pallet for a god then let them do it. It’s their decision if they want to or not.
There was a mystery gift in scarlet and violet where the code was team star or something like that and I though it would be one of the star mobiles but it’s just a regular revavroom.
Or maybe we get something in Blueberry Academy that lets us change the current one we have. I mean I've got a level 80 that I'd love to change his typing. Lol
Perhaps the pokemon that inspirited Varoom is actually a Gastly. I doubt it's pure poison, as it's inspiriting an inanimate object that kinda points to poison/ghost
Headcannon the gastrodon with the shell is actually just h-sliggo and h-goodra and they only think it's gastrodon because that whole line doesn't exist in modern sinnoh
I feel like every time Gastrodon gets brought up, nobody talks about the fact that it and Cloyster are related. This would mean that Gastrodon and Cloyster have a common ancestor that might be the very shelled-form that the pokedex mentions.
I'm sorry, but how can you say "an unknown poison Pokemon entered and inspirited an engine" and totally gloss over the "inspirited" part... You know... Like a GHOST. A POISON GHOST. And Sun and Moon's Nihilego battle predates the Eternitus battle. You certainly can't catch Nihilego in that form, now can you? Mantyke didn't get different patterns for the same reason Arbok stopped getting new ones; it's fairly pointless.
We have seen updates to established things in the games. So I think it's likely we will see the true forms of the galar fossil pokemon at some point. Notice they were left out of the crown tundra. What I mean though. When leafeon and Glaceon were introduced, their evolution mechanic was unique. Now they just use stones to evolve. Same with megnanaton and nosepass. They are slowly causing things to get fixed in later gens. It's likely we will have a reason to get the true form of the galar pokemon. I am hoping for a pokemon fossil hunter game someday. As far as gastrodon, I think we will see a branched evolution into Lapras. Prehapse they are waiting to link the two. There is definitely a connection there
if the Pokemon dex was accurate with its lure, we would have children floating away in the distance because of the balloon Pokemon. which would be hilarious.
I feel like they intended for more regional variants and variants in general to appear in game, but thought it’d be a hassle to code, especially depending on how many new Pokémon were to appear.
The thing about the Galar fossils is that any other region's restoration technique would result in the original Pokémon! You never needed the full fossil before and could restore a fossil with just a carapace or a claw
my guess is the reason they haven't fixed mantyke and arbok is that pokémon are not marked properly with their actual region when you transfer them into a different game. they're just listed as "faraway place" or something like that. this is an unbelievable oversight when Pokémon has introduced the regions in a mostly linear order, and quite easily could have coded them as 01 = Kanto, 02 = Johto, 03 = Hoenn, and so forth; there haven't even been sixteen gens much less 255. but because the games are self-contained and not coded with this region number from the beginning, they're going to have to do ridiculous gymnastics with Home or in-game transfer methods to apply them retroactively from inside the new games as each pokémon is transferred in
Exactly why I never bothered catching them all. It's time consuming and used to require a link cable. Plus back in gen 2 we had daylight night time pokemon. As if I was spending time doing that.
If you look carefully at the Starmobiles, they also have Varooms as their back wheels. The back of the Pokemon in the book might be the back of Bloodmoon Ursaluna.
I wonder if Gastrodon and Goodra have a common ancestor, since as you pointed out Gastrodon’s Pokedex says it once had a hard shell on its back, and Hisuian Gastrodon also has a hard shell on its back
Dragapult's head and Dracovish/Dracozolt's body probably belong to the same mon. Also, remember in XD Gale of Darkness how you could use Bonsly in the bingo thing? IF you Think Shiny Locking Is Bad? Look At Gimmighoul, Gholdengo, Carcadet, Armarouge, And Ceruledge's Shinies
