Something I found in the DLC. If Geeta and Larry are talking in the League Room, Geeta says she volunteered Larry for a tournament in a another region. So we could be getting to see him again in another game!
@@coolDude-sx6weThat would be so cool! I really loved that you could battle all the past gym leaders and champions in the PWT in B2W2. If the PWT does come back in the Unova remakes, that means we’ll get to battle a lot more gym leaders and champions.
I’m certain it’s a reference to the PWT. Especially when you consider Koraidon and Miraidon’s shiny forms are black and white which is interested when you consider Eternatus’ shiny form was a mixture of scarlet and violet. Honourable mention is Zacian and Zamazenta’s shiny forms being blue and pink which aren’t exactly scarlet and violet but are similar colours in reference to one another.
Personally, Kitakami is more leaning towards Johto while obviously Blueberry is leaning towards Unova. The fact that you are given a sports ball by Perrin at the end of the DLC I don't think is a coincidence.
We actually know where Kitakami roughly is if the Pokémon Regions line up with their irl counter-parts. Surprisingly, it’s not Japan. It’s apparently the place in-between China and Russia (I can’t remember the exact name of the place). This was figured out using the in-game day-night cycle and lining it up with irl timezones. Plus, the shape of Kitakami lines up with it pretty well imo.
I think Kitakami is the abligatory Japan reference. Larry being a Japanese salaryman who spends his time at a noodleshop afterwork doesn't scream Spain. And its connection poster to the Kitakami festival really shows this. Unova has Egyptian ruins and Pokemon despite being based on the US. Emboar, the emperor pig and Samurott, the samurai otter, aren't quite US traditions. And their legends are based on the concept of the yin yang. Pokemon regions aren't 1:1 comparisons to their real world counterparts. Kitakami seems more like Game Freak's way of adding more Japanese regions, customs, and lore to cover other prefectures of Japan missed after Sinnoh, without dedicating a whole new game to Japan again. Or just fleshing out the Pokemon world, like the Battle Style Towers and Kubfu of the Isle of Armour give some Chinese inspiration to the Pokemon world. It would be cool one day to see if Kitakami is maybe neighboring Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and/or Sinnoh, in a future game, since its stated to be "in the east" in game. Maybe in the Unova remakes or Gen 10 some NPC will give some dialogue about where it is in canon.

Following off the crystals in Unova being very similar to the Tera Crystals, Gen 5 is the game that had all the Type Gems for Pokemon to hold. They might possibly be some form of Tera Crystals, since they give a 50% bonus to damage, basically a STAB for the move, just like Terastalizing does.

One thing about the Scarlet and Violet Books, is that back in I believe 2008/2009 Gamefreak Trademarked a lot of Pokémon names, including I believe onces similar to Scarlet and Violet. Was this a direct reference to the actual S/V games? Probably not, but it might have been a set of titles they have earmarked even back during B&W (which came out in 2010, after the time the copyrights were made).
I thought this was a great video. My favorite hints to future generations were the Strange Souvenir in XY and the Power Spots in the Alola game. I hope Gen 10 region is based on China and Hong Kong.
1. I'm surprised you didn't mention that BW Tablecloth you can get from replaying the Olive Roll mini game. It's called BW, it is black and white and it clearly shows visuals of the PokePorter. I think given all the other links you mentioned, this would've fit well - especially for people like me who don't necessarily watch the more speculative content 😅 2. So even more hints towards the Netherlands, then. First the Starry Night in bdsp, then the Van Gogh collaborations and I think there was something alluding to the Netherlands in the main game of SV as well (but I can't remember where).
The Solgaleo one goes a bit deeper to be about Pokemon Moon specifically due to all the elements in the piece. There are two altars placed in the region, one atop an isolated mountain (Altar of the ...), and another atop a lake near a hibiscus-laden meadow (Lake of the...). In order for Solgaleo to have been present for that painting of a lake near hibiscus, the Lake of the Sunne would've had to be located on Ula'ula Island - thus the Altar of the Moone is the structure on the mountain at Poni Island.
16:08 We aren’t getting Unova revists until Gen 10. We still have a few years until that happens since Scarlet and Violet have only been out for just over 1 year. It’s more likely that we get Johto revisits this year or next year since it is the furthest behind.

A reference that could very likely be an actual thing more than just a coincidence doesn’t even come from Pokémon itself, but rather from Mario Kart of all games. It turns out that almost every single non-Japan based region so far (since Japan itself is already represented by Kanto and co. in real life) takes inspiration from a city or country that was also featured on Mario Kart Tour. These include New York for Unova, Paris for Kalos, London for Galar, and possibly Madrid for Paldea. Unfortunately there’s no Hawaii Mario Kart track for Alola, but I can imagine numerous reasons why that’s the case knowing Hawaii’s… interesting history with Japan, if you know what I mean.
It's not too far of a stretch to imagine the connection between Paldea, Unova, and Galar to be strong as they represent Spain, France, and the UK respectively with very strong hints that Paldea and Unova directly border one another. I can imagine that the gimmicks of Mega Evolutions, Dynamax, and Terastalisation are all linked as well, having a strong theme revolving around crystals to power the whole thing. My theory is that the "star pieces" that enable Dynamax in Galar are smaller fragments of a massive underground crystal network deep beneath the planet's surface that's been brought to life by volcanic eruptions or something similar in the past, and those crystals have some mysterious resonance with pokemon around the world. (which indirectly could tie into evolution stones too, but that's another random thought).
19:09 I'd be down for a region based on The Netherlands. However, the location images make is seem very mountainous. And The Netherlands doesn't really have ANY mountains. Also, according to the image we might see a new form or evolution for Geodude.
Sycamore definitely isn't the aide we see in the Sinnoh-games and thus Lucas/Dawns father, since we KNOW he grew up in Kalos, even if he was Rowans aide for some time, we know he also returned to Kalos for long enough to make a name for himself again, combine all of that and I severely doubt he had the time to build a family in Sinnoh with a 10+ year old child... not to mention we see Dawn/Lucas' grandfather AND a little sister in their home, I don't remember if the grandfather is specifically on the fathers side, that'd immediately debunk Sycamore being that aide, but even without that, I doubt that Sycamore would've started a family of that size if his intention was to study Mega Evolution in Kalos from the start. Misty also didn't have an "affinity" for Gyarados iirc, she was scared of them... and later caught and uses one to get over that fear.
They´ll celebrate the 30th anniversary and probably the next region will be inspired in a big country with pokemon fans. 10th is either Mexico or India. S/V has a lot of hints of Mexico, while Sw/Sh the same to India, and don´t forget the LOT of pokemon with mexican and indian desgins (Hawlucha, Cooperajah, Rabsca, Ludicolo) . But Mexico is the most probably (considering the great number of players of Latin America and U.S.A) and i want a evolution of Hawlucha :D
Especially that last one you mentioned really surprised me. I personally live in the Netherlands, so that plays a big part of course. But still -- a region based on the Netherlands?! That would be awesome regardless of where you're from! I have a few ideas they could use for Gym Leaders! 🩶 A miller or baker, who uses Normal types; 🌊 A sailor, who specializes in Water types; 🌷 A tulip shop owner, who uses Grass types; ⛸ A guy who owns an ice skate rink, and uses Ice types; ⚔ A smith, who focuses on Steel types; 🦷 A dentist, who specializes in Psychic types.
@@bigjalapeno7061 Sure would be! A region based on the Netherlands would be so cool to see! I'd imagine they take inspiration from Amsterdam in order to create the hub world, akin to how they used Paris as a reference for Lumiose City in Kalos.
There's an NPC in the Saffron Gym in Yellow that says Pokemon begin to resemble their trainers. I believe GameFreak will one day try to implement this mechanic and Ash Greninja is a foretaste of this.
I think gen 10 should be based on China because of the legendary quartet of ruin and we could do with a China based region in Pokémon. Also, we already might have be hinted with the possible China region later in the Pokémon franchise.
19:15 "The Netherlands seems kind of random as a possible upcoming region." I love the low-key shade here. "People are saying it resembles some backwater called the Netherlands. No one has even heard of this place. Very small and unimpressive. Nothing goes on there. Not a real country. Does a dump like that deserve a Pokemon region? I don't think so."
9:50 actually this is more so the art thing into to secret rare of the dialga palkia and Arceus tag team of them as statues with there being N two other cards with dialga and palkia in the background as statues
Gen 10 in NL based region would be cool but I can't really see it happening. Our country is very small so they would probably include Belgium and Germany 😅
Iirc the protagonist lived in Kanto before he moved to alola. However thr main character never had a pokemon before, otherwise we wouldve had started with a kantonian mon, so I assume the usum charakter just got it wothout battling.
I have a feeling that the next Pokémon game could have to do with something with a Galarian fairy tale thats about a sylveon taking down a dragon. It's because Penny gives us a Dragon TM, We get the scarlet and violet books back, and there are a couple of other notices about SV being about dreams and Imagination...
I have an evidence for the lucas theory.Recently , i read X and Y adventures manga where professor rowan told professor oak about awakening of Xerneas and Yuveltal which was strange as he had no connection to kalos even in manga but after speculating that Sycamore could be rowan’s old assistant it makes a lot of sense.
What about a Canada region? Come on GameFreak! Do my country! Also, the next Legends game should be called: Pokémon Legends: Genesect, not Pokémon Legends: Kyruem! Pokémon: Arceus is the last Pokémon of Gen IV. That means the last Pokémon of Gen V should should be the mascot Pokémon of the game. That being Genesect.
Calling it right now next region is gonna be based on China. The ruinous quartet was just there and I refuse to believe it isn’t a hint at a future game
Go play xenoblade chronicles. The games are incredible and the devs actually care. You don't need to be walked all over by devs that hate you. You deserve better and better is out there.
There will likely not be a BW remake this generation bc they already made a remake for the Nintendo Switch (exactly one remake is made per new handheld console)
Also most remakes comes at Gen which number is double the original's Gen 2 remakes at Gen 4 Gen 3 remakes at Gen 6 Gen 4 remakes at Gen 8 If they keep this Schedule, Gen 5 remake would come at Gen 10
Suede pointed out that the Orange Islands arc of the anime seemed to introduce every new gimmick the games would have for a while. Pokemon of different colors, regional variants, island trials, double battles, etc. It was pretty weird.
@@icebearlikestrains6238 Most likely just a funny coincidence but Suede joked that they just have the Orange Islands playing on repeat in the Game Freak office lol
Another fun hint is Munna! In gen 1 after the rock tunnel you talk to an NPC who says something along the lines of "I wish there was a pink pokemon with a floral pattern!" and thats exactly what Munna is!
Netherlands isn't even that Farfetch'd as you think. In-game hints BDSP has a Starry Nights picture from Van Gogh ScarVio has Artazon, which is giving off huge Netherlands vibes with the windmills, flowers and art (All things the Netherlands is known for) Player house has a picture with 2 windmills on it as well Hassel is actuall a surname that finds its origin in the Netherlands. People say Hassels eyes are yellow, but they are leaning more towards orange to me as well. Quaxly is based on the Crested Duck. Its Dex entry says that it migrated from another region... now... the Crested Duck is from the East Indies, but here is the thing: They were brought to Euroope on Dutch trading ships. So Quaxly's dex entry might actually be another hint for a Netherlands region. Out-game hints We have a Pikachu Around the World plushie set, which features a Pikachu from Japan, but also one from the UK and USA. But there are 2 more plushies, one resembles China and the last one resembles the Netherlands, as its dressed in traditional Dutch attire (It even has clogs). We recently got that collab between Pokemon and the Van Gogh museum. Masuda even toured Netherlands. There is also the Dutch-Japan connection in the past, there are several Dutch styled Windmill festivals in Japan and the biggest themepark in Japan is called Huis ten Bosch, which is styled after the Netherlands.
I would love a region based on my homecountry. We have so many great options for towns and gyms. Though i wouldn't mind if they expand to scope to belgium, luxembourg and germany for even more diversity in landscapes
Here's one that I don't think anyone has talked about yet. After you beat the Scarlet and Violet epilogue, Carmine can sometimes be in the League Club room talking to Amarys. If you talk to them, Carmine gives Amarys Syrupy Apples from Kitakami. Amarys says she wants to use them for her paintings. As we learned from playing the Indigo Disk, Amarys is from Castelia City, which is, of course, where Gym Leader Burgh lives, who is also a painter. I don't think they are related, but Amarys may have at least been inspired by Burgh to paint.
I think it is highly possible that the DLC themself are the hint for the next remakes. Kitakami resembles so much to Jhoto, and the Blueberry Academy is obviously a hint to Unova. I still cannot find something that suggests the next generation, but it might be in the vanilla Game itself

In Black/White 2, when in the Dream Yard, there’s an NPC that mentions the Dream Yard being a Power Spot.
Interesting
Misty also didn't have an "affinity" for Gyarados iirc, she was scared of them... and later caught and uses one to get over that fear.
the netherlands makes so much sense since of the recent van gogh promo
🩶 A miller or baker, who uses Normal types;
🌊 A sailor, who specializes in Water types;
🌷 A tulip shop owner, who uses Grass types;
⛸ A guy who owns an ice skate rink, and uses Ice types;
⚔ A smith, who focuses on Steel types;
🦷 A dentist, who specializes in Psychic types.
An ice rink gym would be epic
@@bigjalapeno7061 Sure would be! A region based on the Netherlands would be so cool to see! I'd imagine they take inspiration from Amsterdam in order to create the hub world, akin to how they used Paris as a reference for Lumiose City in Kalos.
Ultra sun was my first ever pokemon game and I did notice that pic but thought nothing of it thinking it was just a generic poster
The words "Let's go!" have been part of Pokemon since Gen 1, being the last two words Professor Oak says before you enter gameplay.
The poster was confirmed to not be a gigantamax pokemon actually by gamefreak after gen 8 came out
OMG since you mentioned Colress's research, what if they used that as a excuse to bring mega evolution back in the Gen 5 remakes?
We also replace the Violet book in the most recent game with a White book. Hopefully that means what we all think it means.
Where's the black book
There's an NPC in the Saffron Gym in Yellow that says Pokemon begin to resemble their trainers. I believe GameFreak will one day try to implement this mechanic and Ash Greninja is a foretaste of this.
Imagine playing Black and White as soon as they came out and when fighting Clay, he suddenly terrastializes his Excadrill.
Penny's plus and minus leggings seem like a hint at the gen 10 names to me
Games with those names were fake leaked for gen 7 or gen 8 though
I think gen 10 should be based on China because of the legendary quartet of ruin and we could do with a China based region in Pokémon. Also, we already might have be hinted with the possible China region later in the Pokémon franchise.
11:45 he looks like alolan oak
19:15 "The Netherlands seems kind of random as a possible upcoming region."
I love the low-key shade here.
"People are saying it resembles some backwater called the Netherlands. No one has even heard of this place. Very small and unimpressive. Nothing goes on there. Not a real country. Does a dump like that deserve a Pokemon region? I don't think so."
There were way too many glowing hexagons in the end of SV for us to not see Legends ZA coming /j
Um is no one gonna talk about how venasaur mega evolved into mega garados
About ten mins in, the teddiursa card, it could be a pasio tease.
I am curius what hints are in Scarlet or Violet?!
the problem with these hints is, that we only know they were hints, when the new games already released 😅
Get rid of the light and basically let the plays choose to devolve their pokemon but keep there evolution status
The Netherlands would make such a good region
9:50 actually this is more so the art thing into to secret rare of the dialga palkia and Arceus tag team of them as statues with there being N two other cards with dialga and palkia in the background as statues
Several hints throughout the games have yet to pan out, cause there are hints to a Scandinavian region.
That would be cool
What if Clay uses the (Tera) Crystals to generate power throughout Driftveil City?? What if Mega Evolution comes from the same Energy??😮😮😮
I doubt they're the same energy but using Terastal energy to power a city would be cool
Gen 10 in NL based region would be cool but I can't really see it happening. Our country is very small so they would probably include Belgium and Germany 😅
Or better yet it could be based on all 3 countries in their entirety. That would be awesome
the alola protagonist is from kanto thats why he likely has the autograph
Shoutout to Tyranitartube!
The autograph would imply that our USUM character defeated Lt Surge then??
Iirc the protagonist lived in Kanto before he moved to alola. However thr main character never had a pokemon before, otherwise we wouldve had started with a kantonian mon, so I assume the usum charakter just got it wothout battling.
gen 5 remake or hell even a sequel has a perfect opportunity to bring back mega evos. and give his ace klinkklang a mega
You’re giving GF too much credit here with all this stretching 😂
if a dutch region comes just the dlc go to pladea galar or klaos
Anyone mention how the elite 4 at the end of Black/white 2 form a Y after u beat the League?
The roses in Rose Tower are colored Scarlet and Violet
I have a feeling that the next Pokémon game could have to do with something with a Galarian fairy tale thats about a sylveon taking down a dragon.
It's because Penny gives us a Dragon TM,
We get the scarlet and violet books back,
and there are a couple of other notices about SV being about dreams and Imagination...
Ok I get it if we want to know the next game we need to look at curent game and i'm 100% sure we will get legends kyurem/ GOOD unova remakes
I don’t man, that wallpaper looks just like Razz and Pinap berries to me. It doesn’t seem like a hint to Gen 9 at all.
Those aren’t Tera crystals 16:38 those are from chargestone cave
Is scarlet and violet the first game u cant meet the gamefreak team usually u find their office or they are in a hotel ect..
That makes sense if game freak do Netherlands 🇳🇱 as gen 10
It looks like middle earth. So perhaps a new Zealand region
im ok with the netherlands pokemon region as long there will be a belgium dlc. lol
I'm curious if anyone has picked up anything from SV that could hint at the next game? I know we're expecting a BW remake, but I'm talking gen 10!
Galarian fairy-tale about a Sylveon taking down a dragon???
Its a big possibility I've been thinking about
I have an evidence for the lucas theory.Recently , i read X and Y adventures manga where professor rowan told professor oak about awakening of Xerneas and Yuveltal which was strange as he had no connection to kalos even in manga but after speculating that Sycamore could be rowan’s old assistant it makes a lot of sense.
Hey! When will be the next pokémon day?
Next month on the 27th
What about a Canada region? Come on GameFreak! Do my country!
Also, the next Legends game should be called: Pokémon Legends: Genesect, not Pokémon Legends: Kyruem! Pokémon: Arceus is the last Pokémon of Gen IV. That means the last Pokémon of Gen V should should be the mascot Pokémon of the game. That being Genesect.
thats so cool i am dutch!
Gekoloniseerd!!!!!
south america pokemon game when?
Maybe we should get someone to translate the Pokemon language on that map to see what it says.
NO MORE DEX CUT IN ALL THE FUTURE POKEMON GAMES!
Hmm maybe they should concentrate on finishing the games they are working on before thinking so far ahead
My guy reaching so far he’s elastagirl.
So the sycamore one seems like a stretch
Calling it right now next region is gonna be based on China. The ruinous quartet was just there and I refuse to believe it isn’t a hint at a future game
Go play xenoblade chronicles. The games are incredible and the devs actually care. You don't need to be walked all over by devs that hate you. You deserve better and better is out there.
Toxtricity thing was debunked
There will likely not be a BW remake this generation bc they already made a remake for the Nintendo Switch (exactly one remake is made per new handheld console)
Out of curiosity, would the Let's Go games count as a remake? I thought they were remakes of Yellow, or am I wrong on that?
@@jettash0720 technically yes, but I think the rule applies more to the primary games, like, RB, GS, RS, DP, BW, XY, SM, SS, and SV.
@@jaes3735 Ah okay, makes sense
Also most remakes comes at Gen which number is double the original's
Gen 2 remakes at Gen 4
Gen 3 remakes at Gen 6
Gen 4 remakes at Gen 8
If they keep this Schedule, Gen 5 remake would come at Gen 10
However, Gen V was the first generation not to be the first on its console, so the same may be true for the remakes as well.
Suede pointed out that the Orange Islands arc of the anime seemed to introduce every new gimmick the games would have for a while. Pokemon of different colors, regional variants, island trials, double battles, etc. It was pretty weird.
Eeey, another SuedeBlade enjoyer! Nice! I give this comment a Great Ball!
that... is odd. i wonder if there is any connection
@@icebearlikestrains6238 Most likely just a funny coincidence but Suede joked that they just have the Orange Islands playing on repeat in the Game Freak office lol
Was the Crystal Onix that had a different type also part of the Orange Islands arc?
@@SuperJibulus yep.
Another fun hint is Munna! In gen 1 after the rock tunnel you talk to an NPC who says something along the lines of "I wish there was a pink pokemon with a floral pattern!" and thats exactly what Munna is!
I was pretty surprised he didn't have this on the list
I doubt it's munna, it could have been a reference to maybe an early design of Jigglypuff
Actually that N.P.C. was just after Pewter City on the way to Mount Moon.
@@kagari1426 Munna is literally a pink pokemon with a floral design XD
@@SafireRanmakono. You're wrong. That NPC is at Rock Tunnel's exit. On the way to Lavender Town.
Netherlands isn't even that Farfetch'd as you think.
In-game hints
BDSP has a Starry Nights picture from Van Gogh
ScarVio has Artazon, which is giving off huge Netherlands vibes with the windmills, flowers and art (All things the Netherlands is known for)
Player house has a picture with 2 windmills on it as well
Hassel is actuall a surname that finds its origin in the Netherlands.
Out-game hints
We have a Pikachu Around the World plushie set, which features a Pikachu from Japan, but also one from the UK and USA. But there are 2 more plushies, one resembles China and the last one resembles the Netherlands, as its dressed in traditional Dutch attire (It even has clogs).
We recently got that collab between Pokemon and the Van Gogh museum. Masuda even toured Netherlands.
There is also the Dutch-Japan connection in the past, there are several Dutch styled Windmill festivals in Japan and the biggest themepark in Japan is called Huis ten Bosch, which is styled after the Netherlands.
god another boring europe region would SUCK
I just want a region that represents America (except new england/new york obviously)
Quaxly claramente veio do Brasil
the netherlands were once conquered by spain so could also just be very obscure history references about that
I would love a region based on my homecountry.
That's pretty cool
I love the period after a new region/generation is revealed and everyone speedrun the games to find the clues already present in them.
I think it is highly possible that the DLC themself are the hint for the next remakes. Kitakami resembles so much to Jhoto, and the Blueberry Academy is obviously a hint to Unova.
I still cannot find something that suggests the next generation, but it might be in the vanilla Game itself
Let's Go Espeon and Let's Go Umbreon + Legends: Victini
@@ansemthetrueseekerofdarkne2730 I am thinking in Pokémon Legends Kyurem. Focused on future, when they have enough technology to recreate the original dragon.
@@feanorwindwhispers9936 It could also simply be B3/W3.
Legends celebi and bw3 or bw remake@@ansemthetrueseekerofdarkne2730
