Idk why, but Pierce Brosnan always felt like the real James Bond to me.. In my opinion, he just brings more depth and meaning to the character.. his looks, charm, cleverness.. he just fits perfect into the role as 007..
Yes he fits the role for a spy more than anybody else but the reason I think some don't accept him as number one is he is not as aloof ,cold like Shaun Connery
For me too
He was great in god first movie. The other ones were really poor. That’s why her gets a bit of hate. He even said himself he’s only fond of goldeneye.
@@clintos it is was the director, writer mistake not his he still played a good bond in those movies.
@@RandomUA-camEnjoyer I know yes. As I said the other movies were really poor. One man can’t carry a movie.
I asked for a "shaken, not stirred" martini while vacationing in Mexico and the dude at the bar literally rolled his eyes lol
hahaha amigo...
Some guy did the maths and proved it makes such a minute difference to the taste of the drink that you’d have to be massively autistic to notice
I always order mine extra dirty.
I didn’t need my alarm clock to wake me up. I belly laughed at your comment to full wakefulness, 😂.
@@gigaatom But there is a difference..
I saw this movie with my mom in the theater in 1995. She died of cancer in 1998. So Goldeneye is special in my heart.
My condolences 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
My condolences
My condolences hopefully she's in peace with the almighty God 🙏🙏🙏
Definetly the biggest punishment on this earth - the loss of Mom or Dad.
The god who came up with something like that is a sodomist.
🥺❤️srry to hear but I’m glad you latch onto the memories wit this movie
I don't know why but whenever I see Pierce Brosnan on screen, I feel like I am actually looking at James Bond. Everyone played Bond role quite well, but IMO Brosnan had himself become Bond.
Only in Goldeneye, later movies he looks aged. Same goes for T. Dalton in Living Daylights IMO
@@artoisr2 Maybe in Die Another Day. Still, although he aged, he aged gracefully. Never lost the sharpness that was required to play Bond.
I know. This Bond fit Pierce like a glove. They needed to keep this look and feel going. He was almost too good in the role
@@artoisr2 brosnan was more comfortable as Bond in TND
Totally with ya there.. ever since I saw him on the cover of goldeneye n64 I just always associate him as Bond even know Connery is a huge fav of mine too
Ahhh, Pierce. Smooth as silk and cool as the other side of the pillow.
@James Wilkinson Sounds like classic Bond then. :V
@@MrPoeGhost Brosnan was fucking cold at times, man
Remember Elektra's death?
That was damn cold
@@PaganMinDNW It's too bad he didn't get more moments like that. He could play a cold Bond well.
@@MrPoeGhost Haha.
When I first heard that Pierce Brosan was going to play James Bond, I laughed. His comedic tones from previous shows just stuck in my head and first thought he would do a terrible James Bond. He happens to be one of my favorites for lots of reasons. Hopefully others saw Brosnan rise to the importance of a Bond character. He was excellent and everything I would expect in a paid assassin.
This is how I imagine my Tinder dates.
LOL :)
i can only dream they'll go like this for me
In the end Bond’s smooth talking didn’t help him here. It’s quite realistic and maybe closer to a real tinder date than we thought 😁
😄
@Just Jeff True 🤣🤣🤣
My first Bond film to watch when I was a kid. Pierce Brosnan will always be my Bond
My first movie ever. I was probably 7 or 8.
For me too
My first too but I was older.
same here
Mine as well
Famke is probably one of only women on the planet that looks just as hot pissed off as when she's being flirty... She set an unreasonably high standard for me when I was a teenager...
This was her fourth film in her career.
No.more.no.les
Dude, she ruined me for other women:(( I simply cannot unsee what has been once seen. I even went down to the casino.
I first saw her in xmen
Dutch genes. Such a shame she screwed up her face with plastic surgery instead of aging gracefully.
This scene brings back 13 years old me wanting to be crushed by Xenia’s legs
Lmfaooo
Well get in line, pal.
LOL your not the only one
I was born in the Daniel Craig era but I’d still love that proposition. Top tier femme fatale onee-san
EMINƎM you call him Docta Jones, doll
Goldeneye is such a masterpiece
GoldenEye- one word: Bean, Sean Bean
Critics of this movie bitched and moaned about one writing flaw (the villain being a little more resentful of Bond than he should have been), but then again, they did have a point.
@@SUpersaiyajinjerkbag who cares what critics say
Goldeneye is easily a top 5 Bond film. It's only really let down by a jarring score.
@@Paul91- I even liked the previous Timothy Dalton Bond films that preceded this one. But many seemed to dismiss Dalton's Bond.
Goldeneye did just about everything right but Brosnan's later Bond films left much to be desired.
Never noticed up until now how Brosnan is almost never blinking in the scene. Great acting stuff.

One of the best scenes in the movie. The way Bond and Onnatop talk to each other is so seductive 👌🏼

Ladies And Gentlemen: This is the mix of Sir Sean's Connery and Sir Roger's Moore 007. Brilliant performance from Pierce Brosnan!
Point taken..! Then again no one quite rises to the challenge like Brosnan does. Which made his action packed 90's Bond era a unique experience overall. 🍷
Well said. Brosnan was the right Bond at the right time. Dalton was ahead of his time. Brosnan seems fresh and new and the right direction for Bond in Goldeneye...but old lame, cartoonist sillyness...and the wrong direction for Bond in Doe Another Day. Figures.....
“You don’t need the gun, Mr. Bond.”
“That depends on your definition of safe sex.”

@@DLopez-ml5eu Goldeneye
I always loved these cheesy, over the top lines😂 Perfectly written for Brosnan and Famke's interpretation of Bond💎 The dialogue and chemistry between most of the actors in this instant classic is flawless.
He was such a smart ass but he was smooth with the girls.
my favorite "bond-to-woman" exchange in the entire bond series. Xenia looks perfect in this scene and the dynamic between them, while not readily apparent, was still special enough to top any others
You didn’t like the “I am the money” scene in Casino Royals?
It’s a different dynamic as Xena is an enemy whilst Vesper is on Bonds side ultimately. The potential taboo is what makes it interesting.
One rises to meet a challenge.
Still the best Brosnan 007 movie. The women were smoldering, the action on point, and the innuendos had impeccable timing.
Drop in occasionally... shoot in and out. 😂
Soooooo many innuendo here. ☺
Jamie Bond in all his.... Bondness,
Brosnan is easily the most handsome, suave, charming and seductive Bond of all time. He fit the look and personality of the character perfectly.
Actually Bond from the novels isn't this good looking or charming.
I don’t know man. Craig in Skyfall during the Macau Casino and with Moneypenny during the shaving sequences. That was the epitome of seduction.
Totally
For me the best James Bond was Sean Connery ... Daniel Craig IS "the brutal"
@@christophepseudonyme Because Sean's Bond wasn't brutal when he hit women ?
"How do you take it?"
"Straight up, with a twist."
The way he looks over at the waiter kills me every time. Almost as if to say "Yup...that's right."
Haha 😂 Yes, true!! I love your profile name… ‘BeholdMyStrength’ 👌🏽
Even the way he reacts to the name Onatopp was just hilarious. Pierce Brosnan was so smooth as Bond.
Brosnan's banter as Bond was top notch.
The smoothness, the wit and the saucy double entendres. Please bring this back for the next Bond. We have had 5 movies of dark serious Bond. Time for fun Bond to come out of retirement.
Good point, Craig has been the dark master in all flicks
Dont ask 2 much. Next Bond will be colored - and non male
Craig brought a gritty realistic depiction with amazing depth ( thanks to Craigs superior acting ability) that audiences appreciated because the Brosnan portrayals were too bogged down in the typical schlock formula that was going into parody. Brosnan himself had some moments but in reality he was just slightly better than the vapid Roger Moore who was full blown parody. It was because of Brosnans luke warm depiction that The Bond genre was losing popularity and relevance with a new generation of movie goers who were tired of seeing insultingly bad scripts and the usual unbelievable and inconvincing action sequences. Craig Looked actually looked like a killer which at the end of the day, that is precisely what Bond is. An elite assassin. He also unlike the slender, slightly toned ,non athletic Brosnan, was physically imposing with the kind of strong physical structure that befits a man who travels in that world of ever present danger. Craig brought Bond out of the dark ages and made it RELEVANT again. Totally contrary to where Brosnan was going.
Hopefully The producers can find a younger unknown actor with the proper talent to pick up where Craig left off but with a slightly lighter tone but yet gritty enough to be believable and not the cliche that was too prevalent with Connery, Moore and Brosnan.
I wish they'd cast pierce again. I wouldn't mind an old man bond.
Famke Jansen is without a doubt one of the most beautiful, sexy women in the world. Definitely one of the most intriguing Bond Villains ever.
was most beatifull
& In unbelievable condition back then aswell she was extremely acrobatic
Famke Jansen
she always did enjoy a good squeeze
My favorite Bond Pierce Brosnan. GoldenEye came out the same year I was born--'95.
That subtle "ahh", and then the condescending "what rank do you hold with the motor vehicles department Mr. Bond?" was just perfect
And his smooth reply - one word: "Commander".
A great film and classic scene Brosnan at his masterfully best
Shame he went from this to parasailing CGI Tsumanis.
@troll randon no. Its not one scene, its the brosnan era evolution from an action packed spy movie to a self parody.
This scene perfected the art of writing sexual innuendo.
🍷😜👍
She doesn't exactly leave much to be desired, does she now?😉
@Consuelo Patagonia Absolutely drab, horrendous I say, horrendously droll.
It's also the reason we got Austin Powers and why James Bond had to reboot with Daniel Craig.
@@linkofvev Austin Powers got most of its inspiration from Bonds like Diamonds are Forever and Moonraker. Not Goldeneye.
Pierce was a fantastic Bond. He just might be my favorite.
Brosnan has the looks and charm.
Craig has the heart.
Moore has the sense of humour.
Dalton has the passion.
Connery has everything.
@Bobbie Charles you would find it surprising but even Cubby Broccoli thought Lazenby would have ended up being one of the best 007s had he continued. But writers had the better judgement that Lazenby was good enough to play the body double of another Bond owing to his physical prowess but never Bond himself, as demonstrated in OHMSS.
I like this assessment.
Well said!
Brosnan has everything also.
@@ok2313 So so. He is charismatic but not as charismatic as Connery i.m.o.
Pierce Brosnan will always be my favorite James Bond actor, because Goldeneye was how I was introduced into the James Bond Universe
I always love Brosnan's Bond's suave and cool demeanor in every situation, and the hint of a smirk on his lips that tells us he's always enjoying himself.
The music under this scene is ethereal. So many aspects in this movie felt other worldly and yet grounded in a possible reality where such things can and are happening. Just adult-themed all around.
Yeah because 90s filmmaking encompassed the style of filmmaking that you describe. Movies were far-fetched but authentic. OTT but palpable.
The filmmaking was nuanced more artistic then todays era of movies. There’s a sensuality to this scene and the film as a whole.
The music is one of the many treasures of this scene. It helps to transport you right there with them.
Goldeneye was one of the best Bond movies.
Classic.

Don't think a alot of people realize but the first 5 seconds play almost exactly as how the game baccarat is first introduced into Doctor No, even the camera leveling.

i really wish Xenia was the primary bond girl in this movie i just felt the chemistry between then she really was a female bond. Dangerous, whitty, charming, know how to drop the one liners she is the whole package. Famke Jansen is one of the all time greatest bond girls in all movies across all eras
I agree I kind of wish there was more of a thing between her and Bond, but Famke was fantastic as the absolutely batsh*t insane femme fatale Bond girl, that I'm not sure I would want to change it.

It's quite a shame that this was the only really good Brosnan Bond picture, it's the only one of the four that remains imminently watchable.
Yes I always felt bad for Bronson (and the audience) that all his movies afterwards really didn't live up. I liked a lot of The World is Not Enough but it had plenty of flaws also. Bronson was a great Bond, so to be saddled with nothing but downhill quality after Goldeneye was really too bad. To have Die Another Day as his final film must have been painful. Especially after Casino Royale came out only a few years later and is one of the best Bonds ever.
The tongue in cheek humor in these is just fantastic...
Pierce I think did the best at that of all the Bonds. Sean set the standard for sure, but the Brosnan era to me was just fun.
