41:58 Funny fact: Douglas said he was 242 lbs at the time of this interview before training…. His weight for the Holyfield fight was 246 … So after at least 8 weeks of training he gained 4 lbs 😂😂😂… I call bullshit 😂…
Yo yo hold up!!! thank you sterling you got great content omg 😱
Larry said it's the biggest scam in boxing history then interviews George and says what do you want to do next in this brilliant campaign of yours
Possible sarcasm
Too bad Douglas never granted Tyson a rematch.
Tyson had a concussive punch that knocked opponents back and sent them flying. Not George. George’s shots just smashed his opponents down and flattened them.
Larry Merchant talking shit about big Georges comeback....I bet he didnt have much to say when George regain the title a few years later...
Tyson ducked Big George, literally confirmed that he feared the Old Man
Even Old Man George backed everyone up he fought so it would have been interesting to see a 38 year old George against Mike who was known for attacking.
Who was 38? George was already 42 and HE is the one that confirmed in interviews through the years HE wanted no part of Mike
@@joshuacrawford3491 Foreman is one of the most humblest people since he saw his light. i don’t buy that for a second. Foreman could’ve easily taken Iron....
@@joshuacrawford3491 He says over and over and over he can KO Tyson. the reason he came back in the first place. 5'10 217 lb fighter like Mike Tyson and Joe Frazier was no match for 6'4" 250 lb Foreman !!
I remember HBO was not happy Foreman was fighting a ranked heavyweight and Tyson an unranked cruiserweight but Renaldo Snipes was the original opponent for Tyson a tuneup but kept pricing himself out and Tillman filled in .Snipes blew 2 other shots the second doubleheader was canceled and then Snipes broke his hand and out 2 years.
No Rooney no Iron
Sorry Mike
Why do people have to get old. I would give anything for this broadcast team for boxing matches today. I enjoy the showtime coverage today but Jim and Larry with whichever boxer analyst they had sugar ray, Roy, George....then you got Harold Lederman. I miss him saying the score and sending it back to jim so much
I love the HBO INTRO MUSIC! ! DO YOU HAVE THE FULL DOUGLAS VS HOLY FIELD PROGRAM, AS WELL AS THE DAY BOWL DUMPED HIS WBC BELT IN THE TRASH?
Your video is skipping like it's a scratched DVD had to give it a thumbs down
One that no-one ever mentions is how foreman bowe would have played out,I wonder.Would have been seen as a joke at the time but in retrospect, given how things played out🤷♂️
I hope Larry Mechant apologized for his commentary on George Foreman. It was beyond criticism; it was mean and disrespectful. He had a whole lot of "crow" to eat when George defeated Michael Moorer. I love the story of George Foreman. He showe hope and perseverence...even in the wake of brutal critics.
What song did Mike come out to?
JJJ I don't know about this fight.its hard to hear.but the three fights after this one. Tyson came out to public enemy(welcome to the terrordome)
big george at that weigh in looks massive!!! and to be fair considering hes 270lbs he looks solid size of his arms shoulders etc!!! if ya compare it to fury who also is 270lbs! foreman looks 300lbs atleast
Them talking down on George wtf, he was in amazing shape in his comeback up until 91, you could see age catching up in 93 and 94. However, its George Foreman. He was able to beat up Shannon Briggs in 97 at 49
I get that people hate Floyd Mayweather Jr., I do I really do. I like him but I get it. That being said everyone should of appreciated him for telling Larry Merchant "you don't know shit about boxing". Larry is and was always a pompous ass
Tyson wisely never met Forman. Would be easy breakfast for big George.
If you think an old, out of shape Foreman would have stood a chance against a young, prime Tyson, you're clueless.
Foreman kills Tyson
@@melvynsngltn27 foreman disagrees kid
@@Ehrle6969 Don King admitted Tyson was afraid of Foreman. Tyson avoided tough fighter's his entire career
@@melvynsngltn27 don Lied all the time, foreman was affraif of Tyson he even said it. Tyson ducked noone since he had nothing to do who He fights. But evander ducked Tyson after he got the belts from Douglas. Same did Lewis for years, after prison both had balls to fight tyson kid.
Someone is obviously mad that we get to see this for free. The video starts not working at the best shots
The level so low in the Tyson era, Forman felt he had to come back.
Level so low in Tysons era??? Tyson beat everyone in his era foreman where was foreman fighting and unifying the belts
@@vlLEGTxSQUADX how in anyway did tyson beat everyone in that era? Why did he not want Larry to interview him post fight ?
He was pissed at the criticism and harsh questions during the rebroadcast the following week of the Douglas fight. And part of the reason he left HBO for Showtime
If foreman stayed 235 for his whole career he wouldve been better during his comeback he shouldve stayed out the Fridge
They did a Ghostbusters sequel ?? I wanna see it because I always see the latest movies first. But, I haven't seen this. I hope Tyson fights Holyfield some day because that would be a great match-up.
Mid June early evening, outside, Las Vegas....who wants to endure 100 degrees as a fan let alone a boxer? I guess that’s why we don’t see fights anymore at Caesar’s.
Larry just laughs at thr "funny story" of Rodrigues biting, choking, killing, and shooting his own dog. Damn that's some cold shit.
No modern boxer or even boxers from the 80s and 90s KOs men with 1 punch like Iron Mike.
The snake always eats the frog wtf 😂
Tyson wrist and hands is alot bigger than foremans and his shoulders are also so idk how ppl think foreman is to strong for tyson
JJJ I don't know about this fight.its hard to hear.but the three fights after this one.tyson came out to public enemy (welcome to the terror dome)

He's frozen until they find a cure.

Larry Merchants words about Sonny Liston we're way too loose.
I honestly don't know anyone in boxing now days. And it is the internet age!
Holyfield looked like a only 200 pounder. i Think he is around 205 here.. other fighters cut weight when they enter training camp.. they cut around 20 -30 lbs , Evander in his youger Days up till 1992 was Always around 205-210, even in his off season
buster looking around 255 here
Buster was a big fat pig here
No wonder Mike Tyson refused to fight Foreman lol
Foreman did not tyson lmao kid
Merchant’s hand on Buster’s shoulder during that interview was creepy asf.
For anyone saying Tyson was ducking Foreman, that makes no sense...Tyson was trying to regain the title, and he wanted a rematch witH Douglas, and Douglas obviously ducked Tyson until he retired the first time. Tyson ended up fighting a much more difficult fight with Razor Ruddock, and a rematch, and then went to prison for 3 years. Had he not gone to prison, I'm sure it would've been inevitable for Tyson-Foreman to fight. I just don't see the logic in Tyson wanting to avoid George Foreman, he is perfect for him. Foreman would be a huge underdog and would get KO'd and hurt very seriously.
Alvalanker Highwind Tyson was a bully and he folded every time someone stood up to him and thats a fact ! Even an old Foreman would batter tyson into oblivion
George would've battered tyson
Foreman 2.0 was as close to invulnerable to stoppage as any boxer has ever been, and still retained every bit of his former power. So that means 12 rounds for Foreman to land a right hand on Tyson, who was not known for his late round energy. Foreman by KO is guaranteed.
Douglas didn´t duck Tyson. Douglas had to defend the titles against the number one contender, and that was Holyfield.
@@drmikehockertz1965 are you the type of idiot that judges everything he doesn't know? how do you know tyson's a bully? by watching biased tv bullshit?
I've never seen tyson fold, not even when he was headbutted 15 times by a dirty holyroids. so fuck off
but I bet you'd fold and piss your pants if you met tyson
Larry Merchant was a putz. 😆
George Foreman proved that he wasn't just "The hungriest."
foreman was only 41 you would think he was 65 listening these people. also foreman would of kod tyson within 4 rounds in 1990-91
Who else doesnt like larry at all?
Who is Larry?
Tyson fans is so hillarious. His prime was obvesiouly 90 seconds with Michael Spinks. Haha, Who did he actually beat? Can you ask the same question to Foreman?
Another person who don't know shit about boxing
Best fighter in the universe. Haha. I would like to see him fight Holyfiels, Bowe of Lewis. Would be easy money for alle the 3 guys.
George is laughing to the bank though. Holyfield and Bowe have no money these days. Foreman is filthy rich and can still talk. Foreman for the win.
