Top Rank blocked a few of the fights in the back half. Cleveland Williams, some Frazier, some Oscar Bonneveta, some Floyd Patterson II. So if you are watching along and then there is a weird cut as those fights are coming...thats why. Basically this is the case on any boxing video of mine if you watch and suddenly it just skips past a section or a fight. It's annoying, but either i gotta hit remove the clip, or the video stays blocked. Sorry. Still mostly in tact though, just a few of those great fights lost :(

He'll be remember as he said The Greatest Boxer and Champion ever no can touch him he over came in the ring as well as out of it, Holmes had no class he did not have to continue beating Ali, no matter what the third man in the ring told according to Holmes. Was keep fighting even the refs. some disliked Ali so what do you expect from a white dominated world. See what it did to Holmes as the man to beat made him a evil man. Which he bought into by continuing to beat Ali when it was plain to see he had no defence. But Mike Tyson who loved Ali right from his youth told him I'll avenge you when I get big and so he did knocking out Holmes but giving him a good lesson and how it felt to be beating and out classed by a awesome fighter in the True Champion like his idol Mohamed Ali. Holmes showed fear in his eyes seen Mike Tyson close up and in fight mode destroying him completely even if he fought on they all were chumps. Ali in death was celebrated as The Greatest his trail on that day was 19 miles long he was The Almighty's one of many sons of Allah Yahwah Jesus Christ he acknowledged him in all his life amen.

How an older Ali beat the younger, prime George Foreman is definitely one of his biggest wins. And the fact that decades later, George comes back, wears the same shorts he wore in the Ali fight, and capture a world title, adds a lot to the story.

Mohammed Ali used to cheat by hanging onto the necks of fighters like frasier, norton, foreman. this tires them down.. it was unfair but was a known cheat. Over the decades mohammed ali became a brand so they did not highlight those under the table tactics. Watch the foreman match, it was ridiculus. ali was semi grappling in a boxing ring.

The story of Muhammad Ali is that of a man of conviction and faith who was beloved by millions. His integrity, the fact he stood for something bigger than boxing, along with his openness, sense of humor, and natural charisma, all coalesced with his ring success to make him a superstar. Books, television specials, comics, games, toys, movies, plays, video games; accolades and tributes from people like James Brown, Diana Ross, Madonna, Norman Mailer; honorary degrees from universities and the Presidential Medal of Freedom; a museum and cultural center established in his name in Louisville, Kentucky; the Olympic flame lit by his trembling hand in 96 -- Ali became, and will forever be, larger than life. Yes, boxing was the springboard to all this, but the man’s influence will continue to be about much more than sports. Muhammad Ali was, and is, the People’s Champion, and his legacy will no doubt outlive all of us.

He won the gold medal in the olympics 41 years before I was born. He fought in his last professional fight a decade before I was born.
But these videos and clips bring a tear to my eye till this day.
My Grandfather had a VHS of the ‘rumble in the jungle’. And after watching that with him as a young boy, I listened intently as he told me everything he knew, everything about the man and each detail of every fight as he remembered it. When I eventually got the internet, I had the opportunity to watch all his fights and footage for myself, and I wasn’t disappointed.
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. His hands can’t hit what his eyes can’t see”
Many have been. Many will be.
    But none can come close
    to Muhammad Ali.

Hall of Fame All Time Great Muhammad Ali is the only boxer to be named Ring magazine Fighter of the Year 6 times. He was involved in more Ring Fight of the Year bouts than any other fighter and held wins over 7 other Hall of Fame inductees. Ali appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated on 38 different occasions, second only to Michael Jordan's 46. He also appeared on the cover of Time Magazine 5 times, the most of any athlete. Ali was crowned Sportsman of the Century by Sports Illustrated and was named Athlete of the Century by USA Today. Several of his fights were watched by an estimated 2 billion viewers between 1974 and 1980. Ali is the only boxer in history with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. What he did inside and outside of the ring was an historical social phenomenon and master class entertainment. "Ali is the greatest and most famous sports figure in American history, and indeed, world history. That is to say greater than Babe Ruth, Joe Louis, Joe DiMaggio, Jim Thorpe, Usain Bolt, Pele and, yes, Michael Jordan." - The Ring

He would’ve blown Joe Louis’ title defence record out of the water. Ali had 19 title defences in total, 9 pre exile and 10 post exile. Had he not been exiled he would’ve hit 30 odd. The way he was going, he was on course to getting 13 more title defences in those 4 years that he was exiled. Then not a single soul would argue that not only is he the greatest boxer of all time but the greatest athlete of all time as well.

@millatta The more we discuss Ali, the more I wish we could have had a timeline where he had a proper career. I want to see how far his generational talent could take him. The question of who is the greatest ever wouldn't even exist. Only one answer.

Never get tired of watching footage of Ali, no matter how many times I've seen it!
I can remember seeing Ali fight on TV when I was a kid, unfortunately, he was past his best, and his health was taking a downward turn, but he still bought charisma to his fights.
He wasn't the greatest for just being a great fighter, it's what he did outside the ring that makes him the greatest of all time!

I remember in the mid 70's Ali toured England but he didn't just go to London, he went to Newcastle which was, at the time, the most impoverished city in the country. I was there and I saw the greatest from a distance and I'll never forget it. Ali transcended race, culture, and everything else in between. He truly was and still is, the greatest.

His story is a testament to the power of belief, courage, and the human spirit.
Ali Bumaye! People said he was the greatest. He believed and acted like the greatest, then became the greatest. He was a man of conviction. His refusal to be drafted into the Vietnam War, solidified his status as a symbol of resistance.
His iconic phrase, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee," captured his fighting style. Ali's fights were more than sporting events; they were cultural spectacles that drew millions to something they have never seen before.
