I love how mike always goes over to check on his opponent. Early in his career, even into the mid part of the Stone Cold killer phase, whenever he rocks somebody's world he would always walk over to them and make sure they were okay like he had to see for himself. Very respectful, "it was my pleasure to give you a shot at the title you deserve it". Don King and Don King's money ruined that polite young killer
@evanpeterpaul6566 Until he wasn't. Happens to us all. Still wouldn't wanna catch one from him now, or in 20 years. I truly do not get the Mike Tyson haters out there these days. The dude was/is an absolute beast, and not just in his prime. Totally agree, though. Stamina was absolutely one of Kid Dynamite and God of Stories Tyson's many fearsome talents. Cheers!
Actually he had heart problems and he did get fatigued but he wouldn't let it show. Much like cus d Amato said what are you doing celebrating like you didn't think you would win. We trained for this cuz we thought we would win if we trained.
Mike Tyson Punch-Out by Nintendo was the bomb and we all skipped class just to fight him in the final fight round. Every Tyson punch was a knockout. Patience was the key to beating him in that game.
Tyson’s defense was the springboard for his heavy punching style. People think he was a slugger, but nothing could be further from the truth. His opponents were so devastated by his boxing skills, the bouts typically ended in slugging fashion because there was no other choice. Everything Tyson did before he threw a punch made his tight physique act like a wound up coil, increasing the power of already devastating punches. Cus took one look at Tyson and knew he could turn him in to a monster. Nobody’s talking enough about his defense in the video or comments. If you’re interested, I’d look into how Cus trained Mike and what his philosophy was. It makes Tyson a more dynamic and tragic figure if you know the history.
Yep his defense AND offense. So many of greats rely on counter attack. Not Tyson. I'd say though he could've probably switched to counter attack in his later years and that would've have kept his record unblemished
People who were not around during the Mike Tyson era who only got to see him on UA-cam will still NEVER understand how electrifying this man was during his dominance.. He truly entertained the masses in a Raw gladiator way that's NEVER been seen since..
Back in Tyson's hey day it was mandatory to get that pay per view. Always hoping for good under card fights too since Tyson often finished very quickly. I pray the age gap isn't too much to over come with his Jake Paul match. I really want to see him humble Paul.
@@squidsleap If Tyson goes all out I believe his technique if nothing else will be too much for Jake to deal with.. Tyson's not at that age yet where you can just kick his ass simply because you're younger lol, and Tyson unlike a lot of other fighters from his era is NOT punch drunk..
Tyson had such a killer combo of lightning quick hands and an iron jaw. You can see people land punches on him and it doesnt bother him at all, and their spirit is just gone. He was unbeatable for a few years.
Out of all my favourite HW’s , mike is the most almost perfect boxer, hes on my number 1 list for HW’s. I love his footwork, uppercuts, bob and weavings etc. Tyson is a machine

Tyson is a unit of a man, I’ve never seen such force and strength in that ring. I think he’s also a great sport always humble too, but that man has a rage that is beyond my comprehension.
The way Mike Tyson swings his punches is like he is trying to send his fist through people's face aka take their head off their shoulders the power In Mike's punches is just crazy insane!
Mike Tyson is and will always be the human symbol of just what hand to hand pure great boxing is all about, even if ever beat again, nothing can be taken away from him, he still will be the greatest, and thats a great fact... Everyone else will be only second to the great Mike Tyson....

Absolute super star, i grew up watching this, privileged to have seen a true professional, and now love hearing the wisdom from him on joe Rogan podcast. True living legend
I don't think it was just Tyson's sheer strength that helped him win. Never in my life have I seen such a dedicated mindset. The way Tyson looks at his opponents like they are just mere obstacles in his way is very admirable. It's almost as if he just tells himself he will win... and he does. Awesome video thanks for taking the time to make it 👊 By far my favorite fighter ✌️
the cool thing about tyson is that he was a heavy weight and the dude moved like the fkn wind. he could be light one second, then half a second later, hes back to being made of steel and was landing those punches at unimaginable speed for his weight. he had speed and power that most his opponents just couldnt handle. and yea man, im sorry but train as much as you want on your defense. shit was probably like trying to dodge and block a sledge hammer. its not easy after feeling the power of his jab knowing any minute hes gonna hit you with a right and send ur ass to heaven.
Back in the day where boxers werent afraid to fight each other. Tyson was 22 and 0 less than 1.5 years into his pro career. Nowadays we're lucky if a boxer fights twice a year
He fights on a level that’s beyond everyone else. Nobody works harder. I expect his fight IQ to have grown exponentially along with his punching power. As a child I grew up an Ali fan. Now I like Mike too.
MT is what happens when prodigious talent and legendary tutelage come together. A heavyweight that moved like him and could land jabs that hit like power punches. Dude was absolutely unreal.
@@suspectgaming8868 well u gotta understand that anyone who has asperations of becoming the best in any competitive sport, is going to need that level of confidence to get there. you've never heard an up and coming champ, especially someone like mike say shit like "oh yea hes really good. i dont know if ill beat him." but yes afterwards. you lost. what else do you do? they didnt run away. they stayed and stated their flaws. kept their chins up. and realized that mike is a man that should be respected and not taken lightly.

Tyson has heart. Look at him trying to help up Botha after he knocked him down. Absolutely legend and an inspiration to everyone that you can get knocked down in life, but you can still get up punching back. Love from India, Mike 💪🏾

The way his opponents speak of him in the ring after the fight, tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about how devastating of a beast Iron Mike was (and no doubt still is)
It’s crazy watching these. It’s looks like those guy never boxed before compared to Tyson. Looks like they’re flailing their arms while Tyson is a precision striking machine.
Here's where we underestimate Tyson: these were all powerful, strong, trained, skilled, tough, confident, and intimidating apponents... he knocked down or TKOd every single one of them in short battle.
I've noticed that after every fight tysons had hes always over to his opponent helping them up to there feet praising them for there effort hes a humble human makes me very thankful we a guy like him that the media n other people make fun of him through his time on earth
Golota was a beast. He had everyting to be one of the GOATs, but the mind. In that infamous fight, he got hit very unlucky and had his jaw broken, yet he fought on. The decision to quit was the smartest decision anyone could make in those circumstances. He did not do it out of fear, but out of reason. Few more hard shots and he could be cold. He deserves respect for his skills and predispositions. Ofc he was not as great as Iron Mike, but the hate he recieved for that unruly judged escape from the ring is unfair. The worst part is that his corner made it look 100x worse than it should look like.
During the fight, Golota had received a concussion, a fractured cheek bone, and a harmiated disk 20:28 . His corner should all be ashamed of themselves. Every man knows his own body. I am glad that Golota had enough sense to protect his own health.
Tyson was mesmerizing...That hand speed, always from a coiled position, his whole body behind it...I can only imagine the impact as it lands.. Not very appealing 😅

You're stupid. He never meant to kill or harm, just win.
@@stevenrhone7432want to get punch?
I love how mike always goes over to check on his opponent. Early in his career, even into the mid part of the Stone Cold killer phase, whenever he rocks somebody's world he would always walk over to them and make sure they were okay like he had to see for himself. Very respectful, "it was my pleasure to give you a shot at the title you deserve it". Don King and Don King's money ruined that polite young killer
‘He was crying in there, making woman gestures’ 😂 CLASSIC!

Whuuu whuuh 😂😂😂😂😂
lol
Lmao what a G. Damn.
😂
😂😂😂
He never seemed to get fatigued. His energy was far above the rest.
Yes. This. 1st round, 4th or 10th... Didn't matter.
That's because the majority of his fights never made it to the second round
That changed after Don King showed up though and he fired Rooney. His training took a nose dive.
The best heavy weight BOXER ever 💯
Mike Tyson Punch-Out by Nintendo was the bomb and we all skipped class just to fight him in the final fight round. Every Tyson punch was a knockout. Patience was the key to beating him in that game.
Today we would have continues and beat the game real quick. But in that time, you had to re-beat everyone and fight Mike at the end again!
I love Mike Tyson still to this day❤
He's like a coiled snake
It's the acceleration that gets you
Yep his defense AND offense. So many of greats rely on counter attack. Not Tyson. I'd say though he could've probably switched to counter attack in his later years and that would've have kept his record unblemished
Mike Tyson is one of the baddest men to ever fight!
This was the best statement I ever heard but Tyson. Wasn't the greatest in the heavyweights but was great. Every biggest challenge he fell short.
@@jhonjohnjonjondoe5011he fell off after cus died... he lost focus.
Out of all my favourite HW’s , mike is the most almost perfect boxer, hes on my number 1 list for HW’s. I love his footwork, uppercuts, bob and weavings etc. Tyson is a machine
Man, I was working the whole time all this happened but was well aware of how devastating Tyson was. I missed every fight. Thanks for putting this together so I can relive what I heard on the radio and see for myself. Holy cow, what a beast!!!!
Jesse Ferguson:
Its nothing, i just got out of my gameplan.
Mike Tyson:
Everyone has a gameplan until they get punched in the face.
Greatest comment of all time. Like Tyson or not he was the best boxer in history. Lots of demons but he came to a better point later in life.
Mike was so damn humble after his fights, early years you can see it.
Exactly ‼️😊
He punches through the target. It's something they teach in martial arts. Don't hit the target. Hit through it.
Mike Tyson is and will always be the human symbol of just what hand to hand pure great boxing is all about, even if ever beat again, nothing can be taken away from him, he still will be the greatest, and thats a great fact... Everyone else will be only second to the great Mike Tyson....
All the boxers talked shit but Tyson was quite and still beat them. Wow what a champ
He is a legend, in his younger days he would batter Tyson Fury
@@tarotbyamber7233fury is a fraud. Aj & Usyk are both better

I just love Tysons calm demeanor. He has the black eyes of a great white shark going for the kill
Pound for pound in his prime with the right team and a clear head UNBEATABLE! a pleasure to watch
I was lucky enough to see all of Mr.Tyson's professional fights live (yeah i'm getting old) & he truly deserved the moniker of "Iron" Mike, his fights no matter how short where both electrifying & terrifying in equal measure! 🏆
you must be old and rich
Wow what A Greatness to be there and able to see All live what a Blessing and a True Treasure to All memories of this ❤️ I am in NC women would have loved to see him in Total action just once live you had All once in life time Greatness ❤ I grew up watching Mr Champion of All time and will Ever Be Mr Tyson is Absolutely The Worlds Best highest Achievement of True Champion of All Time Forever ❤
I have never been into boxing but watching these clips, but Tyson is a beast. One thing I noticed is after the fight, he embraces his opponent in a gesture of good sportsmanship.
Not all of them ;)
Biggs and Mitch Green were personal enemies of his
Also, Holmes in a way.
It was the motivation to beat Holmes that kept him training hard even back in his amateur days.
@@d0nKsTaH I will have to find clips of that bout. I never watched boxing matches before. I was never interested. This showed up on my feed and for some reason I decided to watch it. It has been drawing me in and I have been watching others. Thanks for directing me in that direction. I have much to learn about boxing. 👍👍
he did for some and its good to see he wasn't a complete beast
ADC
He also never talks shit before the fight. Speak softly and carry a big uppercut.
I’m reminded of just how good of a boxer Mike was. He’s often looked on a just power guy, but he had legit top flight boxing skill.
Last dude was smart to listen to his own body. May have saved his own life by doing so. Dude was clearly still not all there even during the interview.
Gollata had serious head injury ,
fractures , cheek and eye socket at minimum
Tyson clocked him hard
If Tyson is in focus like he was with Kevin Rooney ,
he is on the top shelf of the division
Eeeyup, Gollotta was never the same after that.
Mike detoured everyone's career, and ended a couple.🥊

Someone like Tyson won’t be seen for many many years.. He should have been a billion, with that kind of talent.

Absolute super star, i grew up watching this, privileged to have seen a true professional, and now love hearing the wisdom from him on joe Rogan podcast. True living legend
Tyson and Evander were my two favorite fighters back then. Tyson the killer and Evander the Warrior. Both were awesome to watch in their prime.
4:02 and 6:22 those guys were really humble to admit respectfully their losses.
You think his punching power GREW? the man is almost 60 lmfao
I love to watch Mike fight but to suggest his power and IQ have improved at almost 60 years old is pretty ridiculous.
The very best heavy weight there ever was. Tyson is an absolute legend, and that's no joke. Life long boxing fan 56 yrs old from the UK 🇬🇧🇫🇴🇬🇧🇫🇴🇬🇧🇫🇴🇬🇧
MT is what happens when prodigious talent and legendary tutelage come together. A heavyweight that moved like him and could land jabs that hit like power punches.
Dude was absolutely unreal.
My favorite Tyson quote is "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face".
Respect to the gentlemen stepping into the ring with Mike. Everyone he faced were respectful and considerate. Solid men them all.
Everyone gets real respectful after you bash their face. Its wierd
@@suspectgaming8868except for Logan Paul, that fight was a joke
@@suspectgaming8868 well u gotta understand that anyone who has asperations of becoming the best in any competitive sport, is going to need that level of confidence to get there. you've never heard an up and coming champ, especially someone like mike say shit like "oh yea hes really good. i dont know if ill beat him." but yes afterwards. you lost. what else do you do? they didnt run away. they stayed and stated their flaws. kept their chins up. and realized that mike is a man that should be respected and not taken lightly.
I'm so thankful to live during Mike's career. No matter how many times I watch these videos of him fighting, they never get old. He is a true champion.

One of my favourite quotes of all time is
"Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face" --Mike Tyson

Epic !!!
Tyson has heart. Look at him trying to help up Botha after he knocked him down. Absolutely legend and an inspiration to everyone that you can get knocked down in life, but you can still get up punching back. Love from India, Mike 💪🏾

Tyson my fav of all time nothing got me more pumped than being a kid seeing Mike come out to dmx 🎉
I actually feel very privileged to growing up in era of iron Mike .I was 7 or8 yro. When I saw him first time. The only way to watch him in Poland in the 80s was VHS tapes smuggled from Germany. God bless my neighbour for that and real Swiss chocolate. Best two things western world ever produced. 😊
Even now he's still a beast i wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of his punches
Right 😂

Mike was great, but he never really fought anyone who was considered a world class fighter
Im just a kid but everybody knows who is Mike Tyson.. truely a Legendary Hero
The way his opponents speak of him in the ring after the fight, tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about how devastating of a beast Iron Mike was (and no doubt still is)
Mike Tyson is the absolute goat and I never missed a fight, this brings back memories.
It’s crazy watching these. It’s looks like those guy never boxed before compared to Tyson. Looks like they’re flailing their arms while Tyson is a precision striking machine.
We all know every fighter against Iron Mike was low key scared. Once you show fear, you lost.
Here's where we underestimate Tyson: these were all powerful, strong, trained, skilled, tough, confident, and intimidating apponents... he knocked down or TKOd every single one of them in short battle.

Dude was whacked by his nephew over land... fun fact
Watching this makes me miss the 80's, 90's where people were still humble. No trash talk, just sportsmanship. Good times!
I agree completely 🇵🇱 🏴
True, glad you know this stoty and told it
During the fight, Golota had received a concussion, a fractured cheek bone, and a harmiated disk 20:28 . His corner should all be ashamed of themselves. Every man knows his own body. I am glad that Golota had enough sense to protect his own health.
Golota is the worst boxer I remeber. He was unfair to the fullest what you talk about? His low blows etc.
Tyson was mesmerizing...That hand speed, always from a coiled position, his whole body behind it...I can only imagine the impact as it lands.. Not very appealing 😅
One of if not the best of all time. Mike Tyson was and still is a BEAST!!
Tyson is so calm. That's the quality of a good fighter.
