Godfuckingdamnit, this is the band I miss.
I mean I'm not saying Nick is bad, I just really don't understand why a lot of people always complain about wanting him back when Mickey does an incredible job and adds way more to their live show than Nick did, plus I personally LOVE Mickey's tone, Nick's on the other hand is just kind of "blah" to me
Michael Shuman is incredible, no doubt...but Nick is a better player and singer; songs from Deaf and Rated R albums are not the same live now (Millionaire above all), they're less powerful.
It's clear also that now, in particoular after Villains, Qotsa has changed music style...so probably Nick doesn't fit well anymore.
Matteo Nick isn’t a better singer than Mikey, he can sing higher than Homme. You just mean interms of screaming, which Mikey can do too but for some reason they don’t use his screams as much live
Have you ever heard Nick sing songs like Autopilot and Tension Head? he's an incredible vocalist. Mikey is the bassplayer you'd bring home to your parents, but Nick is the one you'd keep seeing secretly and fucking in the back of your car, just 'cause he's so goddam bas ass. And tone? oh ok, i dont understand that too... Mike is simply fucking awesome he can play great and he can also give a great performance, his bass tone came from two amps, he uses two tones to develope that sound... sounds killer

Josh really should’ve handed Millionaire to Mikey, but this was his “I’m the only frontman now” phase. He was too stuck up to let something like that happen but it would’ve been so fucking cool. He’s exciting to watch and has good stage presence just like Nick did, and look at Do It Again. That’s great too and he’s a big part of that.

I think Dave grohl is better tbh because he is the goat, and Jon Theodore plays all the songs the way its suppose to be played, Joey was a little sloppy with some of the songs

with all the respect that you deserve, i think that what you said is totally stupid bullshit... both are great in their own way... Nick has a lot of blues he aproach bass lines like no one have did on QotSA, have you ever listen a little album called Songs For the Deaf??? that album is a masterpiece because of the rythm section, Dave Grohl did an amazing job because of Nick, the bass on that album is a masterclass... you better think twice and give Nick more respect
