- In this weeks "Weekly tech tip" we go over where on your Jeep you should be taking measurements when adjusting your track bar.

JKS Manufacturing is now offering adjustable front track bars for the Jeep Wrangler JL, Unlimited JL and the Gladiator JT. These are the same stout track bars that come standard in the newly released Jspec suspension systems for Wrangler JL, now available separately as an upgrade compatible with most lift kits on the market. This adjustable track bar allows you to control lateral movement of the front axle and recenter the axle under the vehicle at a wide range of lift heights. The heavy duty design comes from the 1.5" OD thick wall DOM tube construction that has been specially formed to correct geometry as well as maintain clearances under the front of your JL. It features fine threads and a 1.5” jam nut for precise adjustments and the ability to lock in the length. Both ends feature premium grade, durometer specific rubber bushings to ensure long-lasting performance that are designed to isolate NVHs. This heavy duty track bar is designed to be used with 0-4.5" lifts and is compatible with most lifts on the market that use an OE-style mounting points. It comes finished in a durable gloss black powder coat along with a zinc plated end for superior corrosion protection. Upgrade your Gladiator JT or Wrangler JL’s front track bar with this heavy duty replacement from JKS Manufacturing. - Авто та транспорт
Weird that in a video about adjusting the trackbar, that you chose to NOT show how to adjust the trackbar.
Thank you for this! Getting ready to upgrade my steering, including my track bar and want to make sure it's all centered and aligned!!
Great tips, thanks for sharing! We love our JKS equipped Jeep!
Thanks for the tips. How about a video about how to set the correct length for control arms Maybe some basic measurements to start with for a 2.5” 3.5” lift.
Stay tuned, we will do just that!
Thank you!!
This is a great video, thanks for the tips !!!!
Glad you liked it!!
Great video on how to adjust the track bar, using common terms. Would love to see one on centering of the axel with the control arms.
Bruce
We will do that!
Great videos!! Would be even more awesome to show how to install adjustable control arms front and rear while setting pinion angle correctly on JK/JKU. No one has done a full install video for this as I have searched all over. You guys seem to explain stuff best and more thorough than others. Hope to see a video on this some day.
How do you center the axle if it's not centered ?
You let's see u adjust the bar and measure again
Great product! 74 ft pounds of torque on the track bar bolts according to the Jeep manual
How about a video rebuilding one of those front trackbars... specifically removing the axle side bushing with everyday tools. I've tried pressing mine out with a socket and it won't budge.
Whats the best way to measure the degrees of the track bar and draglink making sure they are parallel to each other
How would I determine what kind of track bar I would I need to get for my custom lift for my Chevy Silverado 1500? It has bout 10” of lift
I just bought a JKS9800 track bar for a yj do you guys have a video of how to set one up?
so if it is .5" off, it needs to be 1/4 longer than the stock bar?
How do you adjust the turning radius on a wrangler unlimited jk
If one side is greater than the other, you half the distance going towards the lesser side?
I have a 3 in lift what measurement do I need to adjust my track bar?
So does that keep your Mopar springs from not bowing anymore
Changing out the old track bar (non-adjustable) on a 2008 JK with a new one (also non-adjustable). The new one wouldn't fit (1/2" short). I tried to put the old track bar back in and it is also 1/2 inch too short. I'm not a mechanic. How do I solve this problem where only one bolt can be threaded and the other end doesn't line up?
You can get an adjustable track bar or possibly look into a track bar relocation bracket. That may be enough to get ya where ya need to be.
Why do Jeep Wranglers have aftermarket "adjustable REAR track bars" but no matter where I look, I can't find one for a Jeep Gladiator??
When you say we adjust ,. How do u know if you adjust inward a Quarter inch or outward a Quarter ?
Longer track bar shifts axel to passenger, shorter to the driver
5 paragraphs down, www.quadratec.com/c/reference/what-track-bar-and-why-do-i-need-it
I bought a jeep 2014 jk sport wrangler the right back tire sits on bar mechanic bought a track bar adjustable one put it on we just look to see if tires back equal on each side I get home it's back against tire again . What the heck any ideas help ?
so how do you do the adjustment???
It would have been nice to tell us how to turn the trakbar adjust this way to move right and this way to move left. Thanks
To make it simple if you make the trac bar longer it will minus measurement from the passages side and add measurements to the driver side and Vice versa . If that makes any sense lol
@@hillbillyrich9473 Clear, thanks
Noted!
Sure would have been good to show how to adjust if off center rather than spend all the time over and over showing how to measure.
Question is a Adjustable Track Bar, the Yeti with is adjustable in the center, and the JKS Track Bar is adjustable at the end, some people say the track bars that have the adjustable in the center are not that good because the center is not solid it's a tube that connect both sides together. the ones adjustable at the ends are all solid much stronger. what do you think?
