    One bad thing- Torque is set on clean dry threads. If u add anti seize, it changes the torque setting. - licensed aircraft mechanic

    I am about to replace the 2.5" Skyjacker spacers on the front of my JTR with a set of Evo 2.5" front springs, along with the Evo track bar, and Evo Enforcer front adjustable lower control arms. All the years that I've done offroad fab and builds, Iv'e never owned a Jeep before, or really done much with adjustable control arms. Can you do a video showing how to properly adjust the front lower control arms to obtain proper steering geometry? Thanks
    BTW, great video, very informative. 👍🏻

      Good choice! Keep in mind you will need raised shock brackets if you're using stock shocks. I'll try to get a video out there when I get some free time regarding control arms. We just had a jeep day last weekend and both jeeps that I've dialed in the control arms were present. Depends on what style driveshaft you have as well. I'll either make a video or find a good link for you to use as a resource. This JL only has evo front lowers, but this winter I might do long arms. I've been slacking on the videos but have a ton of stuff done to the JL along with front evo truss and c gussets I welded up. I'll have to make a walk around video of the build so far and future plans at least!

      @@GarretHofer Yeah, I've got the Skyjacker G250MSB 2.5" front, 1.0" rear spacer lift on there. I'm going to keep the Skyjacker shock extension brackets, and the Grade-8 stainless steel extended sway bar end links, and the bump stop extensions on the front, just simply swap-out the stock Rubi coils & spacers, and the stock control arms and sway bar, and swap-in the EVO springs, sway bar, and lower control arms. I'm going to keep the 1" spacer in the rear for now, until I can talk EVO or Clayon into building me a set of 1.5" lift rear coils. Since mine is a Rubicon it really only needs about 1" to level it with the winch and Fab Fours Stubby bumper on the front.
      As for the control arms, I'm still running the factory drive shafts. I'm not trying to flex-out like a rock-crawler or anything, I don't hardcore offroad anymore...At least not in a brand new JTR. I just want to put a full spring lift on the front to get a better ride, better handling, and have a higher-quality suspension up front without running spacers. That 1" rear spacer doesn't really bother me, since it's in the rear and still tucks nicely up inside the spring cups, along with the top part of the springs. 👍🏻

      @@TroyPosey right on man, that sounds like a great start. I will make a video this weekend regarding the front lowers on the JL, pretty simple. I sti have factory driveshafts but once I go 1" taller springs and long arms I will swap the front driveshaft out. I wish I filmed the ford 9" swap I did in my TJ, that would have been very educational regarding geometry. My buddy in the white 2 door in my other videos, we put all 8 control arms from currie in along with driveshafts and adjusted perfectly. We are also heading to go rock crawling again in June so will have so more videos with the JL, stay tuned!

    Can you adjust the track bar after tighten the bolt? (with the Jeep jacked up)

    • @GarretHofer
      @GarretHofer  3 роки тому

      No that would require a double adjustable bar. You would have to unbolt the axle end of track bar, set length, and tighten the bolt and jam nut.

    How are these bushings holding up? I am hearing they are not the best of quality. Are they still in good condition after a year of use? Thank you

    • @GarretHofer
      @GarretHofer  4 роки тому

      Yes bushings are still tight. No problems yet. These are OEM style bushings if i remember right, helps more with dampening. Wonder if you could switch one end for a Johnny joint?

      Garret Hofer I have almost everything EVO on my rig and really don’t wanna switch to another brand. But synergy trackbars and bushings seem very tempting. I don’t understand why evo didn’t use jj on their track bars. Their control arms are Currie jjs with their own tubing. Wish they would that with the track bars as well. I’ll look into the jj replacement and will let you know.

    2nd gen dodge 4x4, installed adjustable track bar, adjustable upper and lower control arms. Truck is dog tracking now need to pull the front to the right about 1-2 inches. I would assume I need to adjust the track bar inward more to bring the axle to the right more. Any advice on the situation. Maybe where to measure? (Edit) maybe I should finish watching the video first. Haha

    • @GarretHofer
      @GarretHofer  10 місяців тому

      Make sure you have the control arms at an even length so your axle is straight. Measure a common point from axle and to frame on the driver and passenger side to do this.
      As far as centering the axle with the track bar, find common points on both sides to measure to. Like the tire to the fender with wheel straight would be a start.

    I like your stubby front bumper..is that poison spyder?

    • @GarretHofer
      @GarretHofer  4 роки тому

      Thanks! Yes that's the poison spyder crawler bumper. Would be tough to beat the approach angle it offers, plus it retains the fog lights since the winch isn't recessed. Really nice bumper!

    I’m wondering if you noticed a difference in handling after installing this track bar?

    • @GarretHofer
      @GarretHofer  4 роки тому +1

      Yes it feels a little tighter to me and eliminated a steering wheel shimmy when you hit a bump with cold weather. To really tighten it up I hear that synergy sector shaft brace is great as well.

    What was the overall length

    • @GarretHofer

      Should be close to the stock JL length. 188.4" according to google.

    • @GarretHofer
      @GarretHofer  4 роки тому

      Only when going with a bigger lift than 2.5". I have factory rear yet. Just built my front axle, next winter may do long arms with 3.5" springs and just a rear track bar bracket to correct the geometry.
